Abstract

Both static and dynamic adaptive neural networks have been broadly utilized in mathematical modeling and numerical analysis. This study aimed to enhance the accomplishment of Dynamic Neural Networks (DNN) models by applying wavelet functions as activation functions. Research that models and forecasts the intensity of solar radiation in Mataram City shows that combining B-Spline and Morlet wavelet activation functions can significantly increase the DNN model performance. Wavelet-DNN (W-DNN) was modeled with an identical architecture; the best showed the increase in the model achievement (0.7596 points for in-sample and 0.8502 points for out-sample data). Mainly for out-sample data, the model's performance using the W-DNN+ intervention model increased by 4.0492 points.

Abstract

This study analyzes the development strategy of Hong Kong caterpillar cultivation MSMEs (Tenebrio molitor) in Suka Makmur Village, Lalat Regency. With a qualitative approach of case studies on 10 selected respondents, data was collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, and then analyzed thematically. The results showed an average production of 65–75 kg per cycle with an initial capital of IDR 1,500,000. The running nucleus-plasma partnership pattern is asym-metrical, limiting market access and profit margins for farmers, although local innovations in feed and reinvestment support business sustainability. The main obstacles include limited capital, dependence on one core partner, and low digital marketing competence. On the other hand, these efforts contribute to increasing income, job creation, and converting organic waste into fertilizer. As a recommendation, the development strategy is focused on increasing human resource capacity, product diversification, digital marketing, and expanding access to financing and market networks to support the independence and competitiveness of MSMEs.

Abstract

This internship program aimed to provide practical experience for students from Universitas Islam Negeri Sumatera Utara in understanding public service management across religious communities and personnel governance within government institutions. The internship took place at the Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs of Medan City, an institution playing a strategic role in delivering religious services and managing civil servants. The main focus of this study was on cross-religious public services and the implementation of personnel management systems. The findings indicate that the Ministry of Religious Affairs of Medan City applies principles of fairness, tolerance, and professionalism in delivering cross-religious public services, supported by an organized and structured personnel governance system. This internship offers significant benefits to students by enhancing their practical knowledge, administrative skills, and professional attitudes, especially in handling diversity within the public sector. By experiencing the management of public services and personnel governance, students gained valuable insights into the operational challenges and strategies employed in the public administration of religious affairs.

Abstract

Non-parametric regressions are widely used in data analysis because of their flexibility. Apart from their applicability, it is not easy to find the optimal parameters of the corresponding non-parametric models. This situation is caused by the nonexistence of a closed formula of the optimal parameters. In this paper, we propose a metaheuristic approach for optimal parameter search in mixed kernel and truncated spline and kernel regression. Moreover, we provide examples on how to implement the proposed algorithm to both real and simulated datasets. The results indicate that the algorithm yields highly accurate predictions for mixed truncated spline and kernel regression models.
