Abstract

The rise of growing plants by the hydroponic method is currently popular because it does not require large areas of land and land. Hydroponic planting using the NFT (Nutrient Film Technique) method requires airflow to be maintained; its function is to distribute nutrient water to plant roots. In practice, PLN is used to turn on the water pump, but if the energy supply from PLN dies due to interference or negligence, the supply of plant nutrients will also stop, so a solution is needed. The purpose of community service activities (PKM) aims to increase knowledge and skills in applying a solar power generation system for hydroponic plants, especially for activity partners, namely the Nuri Holti Hidro Business. The activity was held on 29 - 30 June 2022 and attended by 20 participants. PKM stages: (1) the preparation stage - team meeting, coordination with partners, and preparation of facilities and equipment; and (2) the implementation stage of training and technical guidance. The training was carried out using the demonstration method. The pre-test evaluation results revealed that the training participants' knowledge and skills regarding applying solar power generation systems for hydroponic plants was only 40 per cent. Meanwhile, the results of the post-test evaluation after the training activities for implementing solar power generation systems for hydroponic plants. There was an increase of 85 per cent in the training participants. Applying a solar power generation system for hydroponic plants is more flexible for hydroponic plant locations that are open / in the sun.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to optimize the distribution route of commercial rice for general logistics companies in Kendari City using the branch and bound method with the help of lingo software. This research was conducted at the Perum Bulog, Southeast Sulawesi Regional Office. Determination of the location of the research is done intentionally (purposive sampling) which considers that Perum Bulog in Kendari has regular customers, distributes its products, and requires optimization of route determination to optimize distribution costs. Variables in this study: (a) location and several customer requests; (b) Bulog's DC location and capacity; (c) the number and capacity of vehicles for the distribution of Bulog's commercial rice; and (d) the distance between Bulog's DC and customers and the distance between Bulog's commercial rice customers using Google Maps in the form of secondary data. Data analysis in research uses: (a) nearest neighbor method, done by starting from the Distribution Center Warehouse/DC Bulog Sultra as the starting point of distribution and then looking for customer points in Kendari City; (and (b) the branch and bound method assisted by the syntax script of the Lingo program. The study results show that the optimal route that can be used in the distribution of Bulog's commercial rice in Kendari City is from DC in Mandonga to all customers in various regions in Kendari City. Thenreturned to DC in Mandonga, where this route experienced a decrease in vehicle mileage from 424.83km to 349.59km. The branch and bound (BnB) method showed that it  optimize distribution routes so that the distance traveled by vehicles on each route cluster is reduced.

Because of this, MSMEs cannot sell widely, even though this has been done in several locations in Kendari City. The aim of this PKM activity is to increase knowledge and skills in marketing innovations for hydroponic melon plants in greenhouses through the Facebook marketplace. The activity partner is UMKM Griya Melon Kendari. The activity was held on August 15, 2023, and was attended by 20 participants. Activity plan: (1) preparation stage (team meetings, partner meetings, and preparation of facilities and equipment); and (2) implementation stage Training using a demonstration approach method. The results of the pre-test evaluation showed that the training participants' knowledge and skills regarding marketing hydroponic melon plants via the Facebook marketplace were 50 percent. Meanwhile, the results of the post-test evaluation after the training activity on marketing hydroponic melon plants in greenhouses via the Facebook marketplace showed an increase of 90 percent among the training participants. Abstract
