Abstract

ABSTRACT     This study aimed to develop an English for Tourism (EFT) digital module oriented to the local wisdom values of Magelang. This study was part of a research and development study employing the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) model. Beginning with a need analysis phase using a questionnaire, the researchers found students' needs of 10 (ten) relevant language functions that will help them communicate effectively in the tourism industry. These topics were developed into a flipbook by inserting Magelang's wisdom values. To test its feasibility, the researchers conducted an expert judgment procedure by inviting two experts in the field of EFT and media development. The results showed that the Flipbook was feasible to be used with a mean score of more than three for each criterion of a quality module determined by the Education, Curriculum, and Assessment Standards Agency of Indonesia. In addition, following the expert's suggestions, the researchers added a section developed to enrich the student's vocabulary. This study presents the significance of developing learning materials that integrate local values to build students' noble character.ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan modul digital English for Tourism (EFT) yang berorientasi pada nilai-nilai kearifan lokal Magelang. Penelitian ini merupakan bagian dari penelitian dan pengembangan dengan model ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). Tahap analisis kebutuhan menghasilkan identifikasi kebutuhan siswa akan 10 (sepuluh) fungsi bahasa yang dapat membantu mereka berkomunikasi dengan efektif di bidang industri pariwisata.. Topik-topik tersebut dikembangkan menjadi flipbook dengan memasukkan nilai-nilai kearifan Magelang. Untuk menguji kelayakannya, peneliti melakukan expert judgment dengan dua orang ahli di bidang EFT dan pengembangan media. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa flipbook ini layak digunakan dengan nilai rata-rata lebih dari tiga untuk setiap kriteria kualitas modul yang ditetapkan oleh Badan Standar, Kurikulum, dan Asesmen Pendidikan Indonesia. Selain itu, peneliti juga mengikuti saran dari ahli untuk menambahkan bagian khusus untuk peningkatan kosakata. Abstract

The rapid development of technology 5.0 requires teachers to have competence in utilizing technology optimally. Teachers are expected to innovate in the learning process, such as developing interactive and interesting teaching materials. Apart from that, there is still a lack of effective learning resources that are ready to use and suit learners’ needs. Moreover, the use of the Merdeka Curriculum requires stakeholders and students to move as dynamically as possible. This certainly hinders the teaching and learning process. Through this activity, teachers are able to create digital teaching materials in the form of e-modules with the help of bookcreator application. The method of this activity is in the form of delivering material, training as well as mentoring, and evaluation. The results of this activity include increasing teachers' skills in creating digital teaching materials. The materials can be used as a learning resource for students. This is in line with the increasing creativity of teachers in utilizing all digital sources as needed as teaching materials

Abstract

Pemerintah tengah gempar mewajibkan para pelaku UMKM, khususnya yang bergerak dibidang makanan dan minuman untuk mempunyai sertifikasi halal yang diberi batas maksimal hingga 17 Oktober 2024. Sebagian besar produk yang dipasarkan pelaku UMKM di Dusun Bandungan dan Kayuares belum tersertifikasi halal sehingga perlu dilakukan sosialisasi dan pendampingan pengajuan sertifikasi halal. Tujuan dilakukannya sosialisasi dan pendampingan pengajuan sertifikasi halal yaitu untuk memberikan pemahaman kepada pelaku UMKM mengenai pentingnya legalisasi dan sertifikat halal pada produk makanan dan minuman yang akan dipasarkanMetode kualitatif dilakukan dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan pendampingan pengajuan sertifikasi halal yaitu dengan cara pendampingan pendaftaran NIB dan pendampingan sertifikasi halal oleh tim pengabdian dan pihak Halal Center Yajri Kota Magelang. Diskusi dalam pelaksanaan sosialisasi dan pendampingan sertifikasi halal adalah untuk merencanakan tindak selanjutnya menjadi lebih baik dan hasilnya lebih meningkat lagi serta untuk meningkatkan pelaku UMKM yang bersertifikasi halal khususnya pada UMKM makanan, sehingga pelaku UMKM yang bersertifikasi halal menjadi lebih banyak. Kegiatan sertifikasi halal ini telah membantu UMKM di Dusun Bandungan dan Dusun Kayuares untuk memperoleh serttifikasi halal bagi produk mereka. Dengan adanya sertifikasi halal, pelaku umkm mampu meningkatkan kepercayaan para pembeli terhadap produk mereka dan meningkatkan daya jualnya

Abstract

Pelatihan ini bertujuan membantu para dosen non Bahasa Inggris, khususnya bagi dosen yang akan mengikuti seleksi tes TOEFL sebagai prasyarat lulus sertifikasi dosen. Selain itu, adanya pelatihan TOEFL untuk meningkatkan kemampuan mereka dalam memahami penguasaan bahasa Inggris berekuivalensi TOEFL. Terlebih lagi, pelatihan ini memberikan kesempatan bagi para dosen tersebut untuk lebih memahami dan menguasai cara-cara penyelesaian soal-soal TOEFL. Pelatihan TOEFL ini terdiri dari tiga materi dasar Bahasa Inggris, yaitu listening, structure and written expression, dan reading. Setelah mengikuti pelatihan ini peserta memiliki gambaran dalam mengerjakan tes TOEFL menggunakan strategi-streategi yang diajarkan. Tentunya, hasil test TOEFL yang baik menjadi salah satu syarat dosen agar lolos sertifikasi dosen.

Abstract

Artificial intelligence education in the era of society 5.0 becomes widely used for in English language learning for many purposes. This study is aimed at finding the students’ perspectives on their needs of English language learning for a specific purpose in the field of sport science educations with the use of artificial intelligence as the teaching and learning media. The importance of needs analysis in the initial process of teaching and learning is conducted to gather information that will justify the learning goals, process including the methods, learning media, and the learning activities, and the evaluation of their learning to the betterment of the students’ learning achievement. The needs analysis was conducted through a qualitative design study with the use of questionnaires to gather the data from the subject of the study. This study is a qualitative study focusing on the needs analysis of the artificial intelligence use in English language learning for sport education study program. The subject of the study is university students of Sport Science Education, Faculty of Social Science Education and Sport Science Education in a private university in Indonesia. The data were gathered through questionnaire and observation on the subject. The questionnaire was administered following the criteria of needs analysis including the needs, necessities, wants, and lacks. The observation was conducted during the teaching and learning process of English in sport science study program. The data were analyzed qualitatively. The results of the study present that the students’ needs on the learning English is high that is aimed at enabling the students’ access any scientific articles to complete their tasks during the study program. The use of artificial intelligence during the teaching and learning is strongly suggested to support the students in developing not only the target language but also their technological skills. However, the application of the artificial intelligence during the English class is still limited due to several challenges discussed in this article.
