Abstract

ABSTRAKJagung merupakan salah satu komoditas tanaman pangan yang mempunyai peranan strategis dalam pembangunan pertanian dan perekonomian Indonesia karena memiliki potensi dalam kebutuhan pangan, pakan, bahan baku industri, dan kerajinan tangan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh jenis pupuk fosfat dan waktu pengaplikasian pupuk hayati mikroba pelarut fosfat (MPF) terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman jagung pada Ultisols Jatinangor. Percobaan dilaksanakan di Kebun Percobaan Ciparanje Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Padjadjaran, Jatinangor, Kabupaten Sumedang, Jawa Barat dengan ketinggian tempat +_ 750 meter di atas permukaan laut dan ordo tanah Ultisol, curah hujan rata-rata termasuk tipe C3 menurut Oldeman, dan temperatur udara berkisar antara 22,00 – 23,66 C. Percobaan dilakukan dari bulan Mei sampai Agustus 2014. Metode percobaan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok yang terdiri dari 9 perlakuan dan diulang tiga kali. Perlakuan yang diujicoba adalah sebagai berikut: control (tanpa pupuk P dan pupuk hayati MPF); pupuk SP-36 dan batuan fosfat masing-masig dengan dosis anjuran 100% tanpa pengaplikasian pupuk hayati; pupuk SP-36 dan batuan fosfat masing-masing dengan dosis 50% dari anjuran dan dikombinasikan dengan pemberian pupuk hayati MPF sebanyak 1 kali pada saat sebelum tanam, 2 kali pada saat sebelum tanam dan 4 minggu setelah tanam (MST), dan 3 kali pada saat sebelum tanam, waktu pengaplikasian pupuk hayati mikroba pelarut fosfat memberikan pengaruh terhadap panjang tongkol. Perlakuan jenis pupuk SP-36 dengan dosis 50% dari anjran dan waktu pengalikasian pupuk hayati MPF sebanyak 1 kali pada waktu sebelum tanam terbukti memberikan pengaruh yang cenderung lebih baik dan efisien terhadap hasil dari tanaman jagung.Kata kunci : jgung, pupuk fosfat, dan mikroba pelarut fosfat.

Abstract

Abstract The use of saline soils as productive agricultural land poses major challenges. The utilization of nitrogen biofertilizer with halotolerant N-fixing rhizobacteria as the active material at the right dosage can increase soil productivity and support plant growth. The aim of this study was to obtain the composition of the carrier material that can maintain rhizobacteria viability, water content, and pH of nitrogen biofertilizer and to obtain the right dosage to increase the growth of rice plants in saline ecosystems. The research location was at Microbiology Laboratory of CV Bintang Asri Arthauly, Bandung and greenhouse of Jayamukti Village, Banyusari District, Karawang Regency from February to November 2020 used completely randomized design. The viability test consisted of nine treatments, while the application dosage test consisted of 13 treatments and repeated three times. The result showed that the H carrier composition (50% peat + 17.5% compost + 17.5% biochar + 5% dolomite + 5% guano + 5% nutrition) was able to maintain high viability of halotolerant N-fixing rhizobacteria compared to other treatments (10.22 x 107 CFU mL-1). Water content (34.50%) and pH level (7.9) in the composition H also meet the quality standard requirements of the biofertilizer, respectively. Nitrogen biofertilizer with H carrier composition at a dosage of 1500 g ha-1 applied to seed and nursery can increase the height and biomass of rice plants grown under saline condition. Further research is needed on the application of nitrogen biofertilizers in saline soil that can increase the effectiveness of N fertilization.Keywords: Carrier ∙ Rhizobacteria ∙ Rice ∙ Saline ecosystem ∙ Viability  AbstrakPenggunaan tanah salin sebagai lahan pertanian produktif memiliki tantangan yang besar. Pemanfaatan pupuk hayati nitrogen dengan rhizobakteri penambat N halotoleran sebagai bahan aktifnya pada dosis yang tepat dapat meningkatkan produktivitas tanah dan mendukung pertumbuhan tanaman padi. Penelitian bertujuan mendapatkan komposisi bahan pembawa yang dapat mempertahankan viabilitas rhizobakteri, kadar air, dan pH pupuk hayati nitrogen serta mendapatkan dosis yang tepat untuk meningkatkan pertumbuhan tanaman padi pada ekosistem salin. Lokasi penelitian di Laboratorium Mikrobiologi CV Bintang Asri Arthauly Bandung dan rumah kaca Desa Jayamukti, Kecamatan Banyusari, Kabupaten Karawang sejak bulan Februari sampai November 2020. Metode percobaan menggunakan metode eksperimental dengan Rancangan Acak Lengkap. Uji viabilitas terdiri dari sembilan perlakuan, sedangkan uji dosis aplikasi pupuk hayati terdiri dari 13 perlakuan dan masing-masing diulang sebanyak tiga kali. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa komposisi bahan pembawa H (Gambut  50% + kompos 17.5% + biochar 17.5% + dolomit 5% + guano 5% + nutrisi 5%) mampu mempertahankan viabilitas rhizobakteri penambat N halotoleran yang tinggi dibandingkan perlakuan lainnya yaitu sebesar 10,22 x 107 CFU/mL. Kadar air dan pH level pada komposisi H  juga memenuhi syarat baku mutu pupuk hayati yaitu sebesar 34.50% dan 7.9. Pupuk hayati dengan komposisi bahan pembawa H dengan dosis 1500 g ha-1 yang diaplikasikan pada benih dan persemaian mampu meningkatkan tinggi dan biomassa tanaman padi yang ditanam pada kondisi salin. Perlu penelitian lebih lanjut mengenai aplikasi pupuk hayati N di tanah salin yang dapat meningkatkan efektivitas pemupukan N. Abstract

Abstrak  Upaya meningkatkan unsur hara nitrogen (N) dan fosfor (P) tanah secara berkelanjutan adalah dengan memanfaatkan agen hayati bakteri penambat nitrogen dan bakteri pelarut fosfat. Percobaan pot dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk menentukan teknik aplikasi pupuk hayati dalam meningkatkan kandungan dan serapan hara N dan P  serta hasil tanaman jagung pada Inceptisols Jatinangor. Percobaan dilaksanakan di Lahan Percobaan milik Laboratorium Kesuburan Tanah dan Nutrisi Tanaman, Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Padjadjaran. Pupuk hayati yang digunakan merupakan konsorsium bakteri penambat N (Azotobacter chroococcum dan Azospirillum sp.) dan bakteri pelarut P (Pseudomonas malei dan Bacillus subtillis). Percobaan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan sembilan perlakuan dan tiga ulangan. Perlakuan terdiri dari tanpa aplikasi pupuk hayati (kontrol); aplikasi pupuk hayati menggunakan perlakuan benih dengan dosis 500 g dan 250 g/ha; aplikasi pupuk hayati ke dalam tanah dengan dosis 50 kg dan 25 kg/ha; dan kombinasi antara perlakuan benih dan aplikasi ke dalam tanah. Hasil percobaan menunjukkan bahwa teknik aplikasi pada benih, pada tanah, dan kombinasinya meningkatkan serapan N dan P serta hasil tanaman jagung. Perlakuan pupuk hayati pada benih 500 g/ha + aplikasi pada tanah 50 kg/ha merupakan perlakuan terbaik dalam meningkatkan serapan N sebesar 51% dan serapan P hingga 90% dibandingkan kontrol. Perlakuan pada benih 250 g/ha + aplikasi pada tanah 25 kg/ha merupakan perlakuan terbaik dalam meningkatkan hasil sebesar 56% dibandingkan kontrol. Teknik aplikasi pupuk hayati yang efisien dapat digunakan untuk meningkatkan produksi tanaman jagung.Kata kunci: Aplikasi tanah ∙ Keamanan pangan ∙ Pelarut fosfat ∙ Penambat nitrogen ∙ Perlakuan benih  Abstract. The application of biological agents such as nitrogen fixing bacteria and phosphate solubilizing bacteria  is an effort to increase soil nitrogen (N) and phosphorus (P) content. Pot experiment aimed to determine the best application technique of biofertilizer to increase N and P uptake and the yield of maize on Inceptisols. The experiment was carried out at the experimental field of the Laboratory of Soil Fertility and Plant Nutrition, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Padjadjaran. Biofertilizers contained of N-fixing bacteria  (Azotobacter chroococcum and Azospirillum sp.) and phosphate solubilizing bacteria  (Pseudomonas malei and Bacillus subtillis).  The experiment used a randomized block design with nine treatments and three replications. The treatments consisted of without biofertilizer application (control); biofertilizers application to seed (seed treatment) at a dose of 500 g ha-1 and 250 g ha-1; biofertilizers application to the soil (soil treatment) with a dose of 50 kg ha-1 and 25 kg ha-1; and the combinations between seed treatment and soil treatment. The results showed that the application of seed treatment, soil treatment, and their combination increased N and P uptake and yields of maize. The seed treatment at a dose of 500 g ha-1 + soil treatment at a dose of 50 kg ha-1 were the best treatment for increasing N uptake by 51% and P uptake by 90% compared to control. The seed treatment at a dose of 250 g ha-1 + soil treatment at a dose of 25 kg ha-1 increased yield of maize by 56% (213.40 g). Abstract

The Inoculation of beneficial soil microbes is an effective method for lowering doses of inorganic fertilizers. This study was aimed to observe and compare the effect of doses and formulas of Bacillus-coated NPK (BCN) and conventional NPK fertilizers on biomass, major macro-nutrient in soil and their uptake by shoots of lettuce (Lactuca sativa L.); as well as evaluate the potency of BCN for decreasing doses of NPK fertilizers. The greenhouse experiment was set up in a randomized block design with seven treatments and five replications. The treatments included one and a half doses of recommended NPK fertilizer and two BCN fertilizer formulas; control treatment was without any fertilizer. This experiment showed that NPK fertilizer had comparable effect with BCN on growth traits; but application of NPK and coated NPK had a potency to increase the fresh weight of lettuce up to 24-45% which was in line with the increase of shoot-to-roots ratio. The potassium (K) content in soil and their uptake in lettuce shoots depend on doses and type of NPK but Nitrogen (N) and Phosphorus (P) content in soil and in shoot were not determined by treatments. The results showed that the recommended NPK dose (200 kg/ha) for lettuce can be reduced up to 50%; moreover, 50% of BCN enabled to maintain the N, P and K uptake as well as the lettuce yield.

Abstract

Inceptisols have problem in phosphate availability. Soil P content is very low available to plants because it is bound by soil colloids. One of the efforts to increase the P nutrient in the soil in a sustainable way by using P-Solubilizers that can dissolve phosphate in the soil so that it is available for plants. The purpose of experiment was to determine the effect of the combination dose of kaolin based P-Solubilizer and P fertilizer for improving P availability, P uptake, phosphatase, and maize yield on Inceptisols. The kaolin-based P-Solubilizer was used a consortium of phosphate solubilizing microbes (PSM) consisting of Bacillus subtilis, Burkholderia cepacea, Pseudomonas mallei, and Trichoderma asperellum. This experiment was conducted in the experimental field of the Laboratory of Soil Chemistry and Plant Nutrition, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Padjadjaran, Jatinangor, from July to December 2021. The experiment used a randomized block design (RDB) method with nine treatments and three replications, with details of 0 P-Solubilizer + 0 P-fertilizer; 100% P-fertilizer; 100% P-solubilizer; and combination 50%, 75 %, 100%, and 150% P-solubilizer with 50%, 75%, and 100% P-fertilizer. P-solubilizer 100% recommended dose 50 kg ha-1 and P-fertilizer recommended dose 100 kg ha-1. The results showed that the dose of 100% P-Solubilizer (50 kg ha-1) + 75% P (75 kg ha-1) showed the best results in increased P-availability (346,93%), P-uptake (312,5%), Phosphate activity (33,5%), and maize yields (48,09%) compared to without application of P-solubilizer and P-fertilizer. This consortium isolate could be developed as a P-Solubilizer with the ability to increase the efficiency of P up to 25%.

Abstract

Red chili consumption in Indonesia has increased every year. However, with large chili production to meet large consumption, land conversion for various purposes has reduced the harvested area. The efforts to increase the harvested area of chili using Inceptisols soil by providing nutrient solutions to overcome the infertility of the soil using its nutrients. This experiment aims to determine the effect of nutrient solution application on the population of phosphate-solubilizing bacteria, phosphorus availability, phosphorus uptake, growth, and yield of Red Chili (Capsicum annuum L.) in Inceptisols. The experiment was conducted from August 2023 to February 2024 at Ciparanje Experimental Field, Faculty of Agriculture, Padjadjaran University, and the analysis process was conducted at the Laboratory of Soil Biology and Soil Chemistry and Plant Nutrition, Department of Soil Science and Land Resources, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Padjadjaran., using a factorial randomized block design with two factors, nutrient solutions concentrates (1200, 1600, 2000 ppm) and nutrient solutions doses (200, 400, 600 mL), resulting in nine treatments and three replications. The results showed that the treatment of nutrient solution concentration and dose increased the number of fruits per plant, fruit weight per plant, and yield of chili with grade A. Treatment with 2000 ppm concentrate + 600 mL dose gave the best results on the number of fruits per plant (44.7 fruits), fruit weight per plant (725g), and grade A chili yield (73 fruits).
