Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan upaya untuk menyajikan ringkasan temuan empiris dari literatur yang tinggi dibidang kelas terbalik dalam domain pendidikan pembelajaran dan pengajaran selama pandemi COVID-19. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kelas terbalik selama pandemi COVID-19 dalam domain metodologi, platform, dampak positif dan tantangan dalam implementasi kelas terbalik selama pandemi COVID-19. Sebuah tinjauan literatur sistematis memeriksa analisis tematik dan isi dari 40 artikel penelitian empiris yang diterbitkan dalam database Scopus dan Web of Science selama pandemi COVID- 19. Tinjauan tersebut secara kritis menilai dan mengevaluasi berbagai kontradiksi yang ditemukan dalam literatur bersama untuk memeriksa kembali pendekatan metodologi, platform atau aplikasi, dampak positif dan tantangan yang dihadapi dalam implementasi kelas terbalik selama pandemi COVID-19. Pendekatan kuantitatif yang paling banyak digunakan untuk melakukan kajian terhadap kelas terbalik selama pandemi COVID-19. Selain itu, berbagai platform yang digunakan mulai dari LMS, Youtube, Google Classroom, Moodle, edmodo dan WhatsApp. Analisis dampak mengungkapkan bahwa kelas terbalik menghasilkan dampak positif pada aktivitas belajar siswa seperti prestasi akademik, motivasi atau keterlibatan belajar, interaksi sosial dan keterampilan belajar mandiri. Implikasi dari temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa konsep kelas terbalik dapat secara efektif dalam mempromosikan keterampilan abad 21.

Abstract

The role of mass media in creating cognitive response concerning input function, conversion process, and political system output is lower than political system capability. This difference is due to two reasons: (1) in teenager’s thinking domain, input function, conversion process, and political output are more theoretical-abstract; (2) political news exposure in mass media is more highlighting demanded citizen characteristics as important attributes of political system capability. This means that though teenagers are considered to be important in political domain, political news exposure has not been considering teenagers’ psycho-political aspect.

Abstract

Transformation of primordial loyalty into the political sphere rather than understanding of the substance of the party’s platform is a key factor for PKB’s (National Awakening Party) devotees to adhere to the party. The platform has not been effectively socialized. The practice of the party has not been believed as a requisite condition to create an order society. On the other hand, adhering to Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) and inclining to submit to orders or wishes of Kiai (Muslim Scholars) is believed among PKB’s voters as a means by which a good community is created(khoerul barriyah). Therefore, since the 2004 General Election, Kiai’s political communication and orientations have become the partisans’ primary roles among PKB’s constituents.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui konsep serta implementasi Pendidikan Bela Negara sebagai wahana pengembangan sikap nasionalisme mahasiswa. Secara metodologis, penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif analitik. Peneliti memilih metode studi kasus untuk menganalisis secara mendalam berkaitan dengan Pendidikan Bela Negara (PBN) yang dilaksanakan di Universitas Siliwangi sebagai wahana untuk meningkatkan sikap nasionalisme mahasiswa. Subjek penelitian dalam penelitian ini adalah pelaksana PBN UNSIL yaitu Wakil Rektor III UNSIL, Pemateri PBN, Pelatih PBN, dan Peserta PBN UNSIL 2016. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan: 1) Model PBN UNSIL 2016 berbeda dengan model pelatihan bela negara Lemhannas dan bukan merupakan adaptasi dari kegiatan Lemhannas. PBN UNSIL lebih bersifat semi militer. 2) Permasalahan pokok dalam penanaman sikap nasionalisme mahasiswa yaitu penanaman sikap nasionalisme hanya bersifat tentatif dan tidak berkelanjutan.3) Menyikapi permasalahan pokok dalam penanaman nasionalisme mahasiswa maka diperlukan kegiatan yang berkesinambungan yang menjadi rutinitas kampus, baik dalam kegiatan akademik, penelitian maupun pengabdian kepada masyarakat diantaranya: a) pengimplementasian nilai-nilai Pancasila, b) pengoptimalan Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan.

Abstract

Membentuk mahasiswa sebagai warga negara muda yang beradab, perlu menjadi orientasi atas kolaborasi keilmuan Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan dengan kebijakan kampus merdeka, sebagai upaya  konkret dalam mengefektifkan pengelolaan bonus demografi Indonesia, karena berdampak pada modern dan komprehensifnya konsep serta praksis mengenai pembelajaran Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan pada kampus merdeka. Terlebih fakta keilmuan Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan memiliki kajian yang luas, baik secara sempit (civic education) maupun secara luas (citizenship education), sehingga memiliki relevansi untuk berkolaborasi dengan kebijakan kampus merdeka, karena mengakomodir pembelajaran di kelas serta bersifat langsung dimasyarakat, yang mengarah pada upaya transformasi keadaban mahasiswa (civic virtue). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan melalui pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi literatur, proses analisis data dalam penelitian ini, tentu berfokus pada reduksi data, display data dan penarikan kesimpulan atau verifikasi. Pada konteks hasil penelitiannya adalah: 1) bentuk pebelajaran kampus merdeka, mampu dioptimalkan untuk membentuk keadaban mahasiswa, karena memiliki relevansi dengan dimensi keilmuan Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan, khususnya pada dimensi kurikuler dan sosio-kultural, 2) orientasi Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan dalam kebijakan kampus merdeka, perlu mengakomodir upaya memperkuat kompetensi kewarganegaraan mahasiswa, sehingga menjadi langkah strategis dalam membentuk mahasiswa sebagai warga negara yang beradab.

Abstract

The emergence of radicalism in Indonesia is based on two factors, namely the macro level and the micro level. At the macro level, radicalism occurs due to the presence of injustice, and socio-economic inequality, which ends in the perception of the failure of the state in guaranteeing the rights of its citizens to welfare. At the micro level, radicalism arises from within a particular individual or group. This paper aims to examine the roots of youth radicalism and examine it from the perspective of the sociology of citizenship. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative with a systematic review method, namely a research method that summarizes the main research results to be analysed and presented in order to provide accurate, comprehensive, and balanced information. The results of the study show 1) Radicalism is an understanding that wants change and renewal to its roots in social and political ways in an extreme way. 2) The roots of radicalism in the younger generation are indicated by 4 main things, namely mental health, economic inequality, socio-political conditions, and religious commitment, 3) in the perspective of the sociology of citizenship, radicalism is a picture of the failure of a country to prosper its citizens.

Abstract

This article provides and overview of citizen participation in the field of social welfare through the Famili of Hope Program or Program Keluarga Harapan (PKH) to make citizens a good citizen in the context of citizenship education. This research uses a qualitative approach with the case study method. The result of this study indicate that citizen participation in the field of social welfare is carried out by attending Family Ability Improvement Meetings or Pertemuan Peningkatan Kemampuan Keluarga (P2K2), building latrines with a social welfare system between PKH recipients, attending the Family Planning-Integrated Health Service or Pos Pelayanan Keluarga Berencana Kesehatan Terpadu (POSYANDU) for pregnant woman, toddlers and the elderly routinely every month, fulfilment of children’s nutrition, sending their children to school, and joining the Joint Business Group or Kelompok Usaha Bersama (KUBE) consisting of KUBE weaving, agriculture and livestock. With the participation of citizens, it is hoped that PKH can be implement well, because the success of government work programs depends on community participation as program implementers.

Abstract

This study measures the adaptation level of Indonesian students in the United States. The research using a quantitative approach. Descriptive statistics were used to analyze the distribution of research data. The results showed that students from Indonesia were able to adapt quite well when studying in the U.S. Students from Indonesia show good ability to socialize, mix culturally, have high English language skills and are able to overcome psychological disorders in the transition period. However, students from Indonesia have a longing for a family while studying in the U.S. This research has implications for the novelty of reference theory about higher education. The formulation of higher education policies that are more sensitive to the social characteristics of immigrant students. Penelitian ini mengukur tingkat adaptasi mahasiswa asal Indonesia di Amerika Serikat. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Statistik deskriptif digunakan untuk menganalisis sebaran data penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan mahasiswa asal Indonesia dapat beradaptasi cukup baik ketika menempuh studi di A.S. Mahasiswa asal Indonesia menunjukkan kemampuan yang baik untuk bersosialisasi, melakukan bauran budaya, memiliki kemampuan bahasa Inggris yang tinggi, dan mampu mengatasi gangguan psikologis dalam masa transisi. Namun, mahasiswa asal Indonesia memiliki kerinduan pada keluarga selama menempuh studi di A.S. Penelitian ini memiliki implikasi untuk kebaruan referensi teori tentang pendidikan tinggi. Perumusan kebijakan pendidikan tinggi yang lebih sensitif pada karakteristik sosial mahasiswa pendatang.

Abstract

The development of social media and internet networks has stimulated new scientific interest in terms of online civic engagement, resulting in a redefinition of deliberative politics and the public sphere. On the other hand, all aspects of human life today have been translated into big data and recorded in their activities on social media. The shift from using humans as the unit of study to using algorithms creates a new problem for academics in social science. This online civic engagement research aims to find out the topic of discourse for digital citizens in the discourse of moving the nation's capital city (IKN) and what the ideology behind the discourse is by utilizing Twitter big data. This study used a mixed method with a sequential explanatory design type. The quantitative method used is topic modeling with the Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA) technique, while the qualitative method used is the Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) method from Norman Fairclough, who sees language as a practice of power. Findings from the topic modeling analysis revealed that there were four themes in the IKN discourse: agreeing to move the state capital, objecting to move the state capital, supporting the discourse on moving the state capital, and the fourth theme, law and eradication of corruption. From the results of critical discourse analysis, it is known that there is a diametrical division in the IKN issue as a result of identity politics that emerged after the 2014 Presidential Election. In every discussion on the IKN discourse, there is a conflict between Islamic populism and Nationalist-Secular populism.

Abstract

Social Media as a new forum for users to exchange information. Social media provides facilities that are easy and fast for its users. This has become an opportunity for radical groups to instill radicalism with free discourse patterns, but it has moved towards religious and political dynamics today. Uncontrolled social media in sharing information that is not necessarily valid in its distribution will increasingly have an impact on the spread of radicalism discourse texts. This research is proposed to see the series of words and sentences used in the radicalism discourse text. This research can be useful for the government to regulate social media in terms of policy regulation. The text of radicalism discourse that exists in social media can be dissected using Teun A Van Djik's analysis model which divides it into three structures, first the macro structure, the superstructure and the micro structure. This analysis model will also reveal the ideology that underlies a text. The purpose of this study is to determine the macro structure, superstructure and micro structure in the text of radicalism discourse. The benefits gained are being able to provide knowledge about radicalism on Facebook social media, providing encouragement to prevent radicalism efforts and images to the government in formulating policies to use social media as a preventive measure and re-establishing de-radicalization activities.
