Abstract

The population of Rantau Baru Village is 750 people. Most of the people's livelihood is fishing. There are eleven teachers in Rantau Baru Village, consisting of nine elementary school teachers and two kindergarten teachers. In addition, the number of village officials is eleven people. The purpose of this service activity is to provide an understanding to teachers and village officials about the importance of soft skills in improving teacher professionalism and service quality. In addition, outbound activities are also carried out which are useful as personality development. This service is carried out through: lecture and demonstration methods (Practice). The target group for this service is 22 people consisting of elementary school teachers, kindergarten teachers and village officials. The results of this service can increase the knowledge of participants about soft skills and personality. Another benefit for teachers and village officials is to strengthen personality aspects such as self-confidence, cooperation, courage, creativity, and social relations in improving the professionalism of teachers and village officials.

Abstract

Kuantan Singingi Regency is one of the ruminant-producing districts in Riau Province. Koto Simandolak Village, located in Benai District, Kuantan Singingi Regency, the majority of the people work as farmers. Generally, farmers in Koto Simandolak Village cultivate livestock traditionally, namely by releasing them to the wild. This condition causes several problems including livestock manure, pollution of the village environment, and conflicts with residents. This problem can be solved if the farmer wants to keep the cattle. By holding cattle, the manure will be collected directly in the cage. Animal manure can be processed and used in biogas and organic fertilizer. The Research and Community Services Team of Universitas Riau saw the potential for utilizing livestock manure waste in Koto Simandolak Village. The Team conducts training and assistance in the installation of biogas reactors as well as training and mentoring in the biogas production process using livestock manure. Another output of biogas production is organic fertilizer. The ultimate goal of this service activity is to increase the income of the target community, namely through increasing livestock production, biogas production, and organic fertilizer production.

Abstract

There are many factors that can cause adolescents to experience drug use, including the influence of association, the environment in which they live, joining in with friends, broken home families which are influenced by the lack of attention and communication between parents and children, as well as the pressure experienced during adolescence so they are prone to drug abused. From a field survey conducted by researchers in March 2020 at Penitentiary Rokan Hulu District, in 2018 there were 4 adolescents who were involved in drug problems, while in 2019 there were 18 teenagers (aged 13-19 years) who were detained in Penitentiary The purpose of this study is to analyze the personality and social life of adolescents with their parents and friends for drug abusers in Class II B Penitentiary, Rokan Hulu Regency in 2020. The research method used is qualitative with a phenomenological approach by conducting in-depth interviews with 13 informants about personality analysis and adolescent social life. The research informants consisted of 4 main informants of adolescent drug abusers in prison, and 9 supporting informants. The data analysis in this study was conducted qualitatively. The analysis was carried out by systematically arranging the interview guidelines and then the data was processed and presented the data descriptively. The implementation time of this study was started from April 1, 2020 to July 31, 2020. The results showed that most adolescents who abuse drugs have negative personalities, namely strength weak ego, most of the social relationships between adolescents and their parents are poor and less harmonious, mostly social relations between adolescents and their peers are unhealthy associations. Parents was a role model to their adolescents life, a harmonious family will have a good effect on adolescent interactions.

Abstract

Character provides an overview of a nation, as a marker of characterization, as well as differentiating a nation from another. Character is the direction of how the nation will pass through an era and deliver it to a certain degree. A great nation is a nation that has character that is able to build a civilization of Saleh, (2012: 1). Character education which is systematically applied to one of the formal school institutions, namely Elementary School (SD) is a fairly good progress. The students acquire positive behaviors and habits that can increase their self-confidence. Character education applied to formal educational institutions can also be a means of civilizing and humanizing Noviani, (2011: 205-215). Data was collected through interviews, documentation and observation. Analysis of the data in this study with the following steps: Data Reduction, Data Presentation, Conclusion Drawing and Verification From the results of data analysis carried out on the impact of scouting activities in shaping the character of discipline and responsibility, namely rewards and punishments, direct orders and directions, and conditioning for every action. The achievement of 4 indicators of discipline and responsibility in keeping the lesson schedule such as doing the assigned tasks, discipline and responsibility in respecting time, students do not procrastinate on work, especially worship, self-discipline and responsibility focusing on students' independence and discipline and responsibility in maintaining physical condition, namely students are able to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between emotional intelligence and spiritual intelligence with teacher job satisfaction. This study uses a survey method with correlational techniques. The population of the study was the teachers of SDN in Dumai Barat District, Dumai City with a sample of 150 people. The instrument used for data collection is a number of written questions with 4 variations of answer choices. The instrument item validation was tested using product moment correlation, while the instrument reliability test was calculated using the Alpha Conhbach formula. The results showed that (1) there was a significant relationship between spiritual intelligence and job satisfaction of State Elementary School teachers in Dumai Barat District, Dumai City. (2). There is a very strong relationship between spiritual intelligence and job satisfaction of State Elementary School teachers in Dumai Barat District, Dumai City. (3). There is a positive and significant relationship between emotional intelligence and spiritual intelligence together with job satisfaction of State Elementary School teachers in Dumai Barat District, Dumai City. The results of this study are expected to be useful for improving work stress, emotional intelligence and personality of State Elementary School teachers in West Dumai District, Dumai City. The conclusion of this study shows that job satisfaction can be reduced through increasing emotional intelligence and spiritual intelligence either alone or together.

Abstract

This research generally aims to provide an overview of the implementation ofschool self-evaluation (EDS) at junior high schools in the District Bantan Bengkalis district.Based on the observation that researchers do, there are problems associated with theimplementation of the EDS program in some of the junior high school in sub Bantan: 1)Understanding teachers and parents will EDS program is still low due to lack of socialization; 2)Components of schools do not have the time to implement EDS EDS considered that the additionalburden of school; and 3) Charging EDS instruments are not in accordance with the existingconditions. This research uses evaluation methods Goal Attaiment developed by Tyler in 1950.The study was the evaluation study, the research describes the problems associated with theimplementation of school self-evaluation (EDS) in Junior High School District Bantan.Components that are evaluated include: Implementation of the EDS program, Constraints andchallenges in the implementation of EDS, and the impact of the implementation of the EDSprogram. Techniques and Procedures collection DataPada this research through the study ofdocuments, observation and interviews. Data and Data Sources, Data used in this study is aschematic, narrative, description and explanation of data from informants either orally or data inthe form of a written document. Factors driving the implementation of the EDS internally is (1)HR; (2) coordination between stakeholders; (3) communication and a sense of family amongthe school community, externally is the support of the Department of Education and Culture andthe motivation of LPMP. Internally inhibiting factor is (1) saturation with EDS instruments; (2)short time; (3) lack of understanding of teachers, externally are (1) changes in the system andEDS instruments and (2) the number of inquiries on the instrument. Impact of EDS amongothers (a) facilitate the school in making RKS / RKAS and (b), enables schools to identifydeficiencies, the excess will be the performance of the school, the strength of the school to bedeveloped as well as the challenges faced by the school. EDS benefits include (a) a school canhave a data base for the development and improvement of quality in the future, (b) the results ofEDS used the school to encourage schools to improve and enhance the quality and performanceof the school. Follow-up of the school is based on the results of EDS is the repair, improvementand development of appropriate school performance 8 SNP.

Abstract

Early childhood education management achievement determines the quality ofeducation services to the kids who they are in the golden age as crucial times in their life,influencing of their next level education process. The aim of this research is to find out theachievement of early childhood education management in Bengkalis district. The research subfocusesare: 1) curriculum arrangement and application, 2) the human resources utilization, 3)facilities utilization, 4) financial management, and 5) institution network. This is a descriptivequalitative research, located at PAUD Kasih Bunda of Teluk Latak village and PAUD CahayaInsan Penebal village of Bengkalis district. The data was gained through interview, observation,and document analizing. The informans are manegers, teachers, society man, parents, andnonformal early childhood education controller of Bengkalis district. Then, the collecting datawas analized by interpretative approach.The results of this study shows that the curriculummanagement and application at both PAUD Kasih Bunda and PAUD Cahaya Insan could becategorized good, eventhough parents don’t get contribution in teaching material development.Human resources which consist of the manegers, teachers of both early childhood educationinstitutions are not categorized as academic standard provided. Then, both institutions of earlychildhood education has equiped faciclities for learning process, but it concerns to the lack ofsafety, not confortable, and healthy standard for the kids. Administration staff is not profesionalyet, so that the financial management is not accuntable and transparancy. And the last found ofboth institutions have networking to somes small authorities in the villages without programsand written commitments.

Abstract

This study aims to uncover, analyze and evaluate the program SKB ( SKB ) intackling the education of children dropping out of school in the district of Kampar. This studyused a qualitative approach. Data collection is done by observation, interview and documentation.Examination of data validity was tested the validity of the form of triangulation and memberchecking. Evaluation model used is the model CIPP. From the results of this study indicate thatthe Program Implementation for SKB Kampar in tackling the education of school children fromthe evaluation components of context, input, process and products are in both categories becauseof the four components in the evaluation of only one component of which is the unfavorablecategory namely the process component. Implementation of the program SKB Kampar districtis very helpful in minimizing the number of dropouts in Kampar regency. Evaluation programfor SKB in this penelititan Packet focuses on program C. Residents learned in Package C is thecitizens who already have a junior high school diploma and diploma Package B. All officials arealready earning has taught appropriate educational background, mastery of officials in thepresentation of the material based on competence, In the curriculum that need improvementeducation calendar. Means of support for the implementation of the existing program despiteinadequate. Financing for SKB comes from Kampar District Government and some of thelearners. In the process of the most important components that must be considered are theobstacles encountered in the implementation of the program should be addressed as soon aspossible.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the quality management strategy at SMKKansai Pekanbaru. This research is a qualitative research. The core informant in this researchis the head of SMK Kansai Pekanbaru. As a control informant in this study are deputy principalof curriculum, vice principal of student field, vice principal of infrastructure, vice principal ofpublic relations, teacher, school committee and student. Data collection techniques are donethrough observation, interview and documentation study. Researchers also conductedtriangulation to compare observational data with data obtained from interviews anddocumentation. Then data obtained analyzed by using qualitative data analysis of interactivemodel consisting of data reduction, data presentation and conclusion. The result of the researchshows that: (1) The quality management strategy that is planned, compiled and implementedSMK Kansai Pekanbaru in order to improve the quality of education is referring to the TotalQuality Management (TQM) model, (2) The implementation process the principal superviseseach month and performs Evaluation on an ongoing basis to see how much the level ofachievement of the quality management strategy has been planned, (3) Factors supporting theimplementation process of quality management strategy at SMK Kansai Pekanbaru is theeducator who qualified S1 and S2 students according to the qualifications of the field he taught,(4) The process of implementation of quality management strategy at SMK Kansai Pekanbaruthere are also inhibiting factors, there are still some teachers who do not want to cooperate inthe case of improving the quality of school (5) To overcome the principal obstacle factors canovercome by giving rewards to teachers who discipline and carry out their main duties well inorder to improve the quality of school.

Abstract

Komunikasi Interpersonal ialah penyampaian pesan dari individu kepada individu atau kelompok dengan berbagai dampak yang ditimbulkan untuk memberikan umpan balik secara langsung. Dampak dari rendahnya komunikasi interpersonal siswa akan berpengaruh terhadap masa depan siswa dalam kehidupan sosialnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah ada pengaruh dari teknik focus group discussion (FGD) melalui bimbingan kelompok untuk meningkatkan komunikasi interpersonal siswa. Penelitian ini bersifat Kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian eksperimen. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VII SMPN 23 Pekanbaru yang memiliki komunikasi interpersonal dalam kategori rendah. Alat pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui penyebaran angket komunikasi interpersonal yang setelahnya dianalisis pretest dan posttest menggunakan uji wilcoxon dan uji spearman rank dengan bantuan SPSS 25. Hasil penelitian membuktikan bahwa terdapat perubahan komunikasi interpersonal siswa yang signifikan setelah diberikan teknik focus group discussion melalui bimbingan kelompok dengan nilai uji wilcoxon menunjukkan Asymp Sig (2-tailed) sebesar (0,012) < ? (0,05). Sedangkan untuk uji spearman rank menunjukkan pengaruh sebesar 37% hanya saja tidak berpengaruh secara signifikan, hal ini dapat dipengaruhi oleh faktor-faktor lain yang dapat mengakibatkan nilai uji tidak signifikan.
