Abstract

Ivan Illich's two main criticisms of schooling systems are the existence of schooling which is considered as a media determinant of human education and community apathy towards schooling. Ivan Illich has defined the schooling system as an age-specific, teacher-related process, requiring full-time attendance, at an obligatory curriculum. A school institution is defined as (1) a formal education institution intended for certain age levels, such as basic, middle, and upper; (2) full time learning the process; (3) having a compulsory curriculum as a standard for graduation and intelligence. According to Ivan Illich, education should be a practice of learning experiences for someone in his life. However, it was precisely the reduction of learning rights over the existence of a set of obligations at school. On the other hand, the existence of schools actually makes people passive towards education because of the assumption that schools are the determinant of the future. This condition generally occurs in low-income middle-class people who are too busy working to meet their daily needs. This condition raises a situation of resignation that parents and families are not obliged to have sufficient intelligence to accompany the intelligence process of their children.Keywords: Criticism, Ivan Illich, Philosophy, Non-Formal Education, Learning

Abstract

Pelayanan pendidikan yang diselenggarakan oleh PAUD dituntut untuk mampu memfasilitasi seluruh aspek perkembangan peserta didik melalui kegiatan pembelajaran yang menyenangkan dan membantu terjadinya peningkatan pemahaman orang tua atau warga masyarakat sekitar mengenai bermain sebagai kegiatan pembelajaran yang menyenangkan. Kegiatan pembelajaran menyenangkan bagi anak usia dini perlu dirancang untuk membantu anak-anak memperoleh simulasi kehidupan yang sesungguhnya dalam kegiatan sehari-hari. Kegiatan pembelajaran di PAUD disesuiakan dengan tahapan tumbuh kembang anak dan situasi perkembangan teknologi mutakhir yang berbasis prinsip pembelajaran bermodel experiential learning. Atas dasar itu, diperlukan suatu kegiatan yang memfasilitasi terciptanya pengalaman belajar bagi pengelola dan orang tua atau warga masyarakat di sekitar PAUD tentang pembelajaran experiential learning. Kata kunci: PAUD, experiential learning, peserta didik, teknologi

Abstract

This research was motivated by the residents of Nagari Sungai Nanam whose livelihoods are mostly as farmers, ranging from young people, adults to old people who work as farmers. The purpose of this study was to find out how the situation of providing formal and non-formal education in Nagari Sungai Nanam, Solok Regency, and to find out the views of youth in Nagari Sungai Nanam about work/livelihoods. This research uses qualitative research with a case study approach. According to Creswell (2010), the uniqueness of qualitative research in its definition is that research is carried out in natural settings, the researcher is positioned as a data collection instrument, and inductive analysis is interpreted based on the participant's perspective. Sources of data in this study were youth who graduated from SMK in Nagari Sungai Nanam as research subjects, while the informants were people who provided information about the research being carried out, namely, parents and other members of the family in Nagari Sungai Nanam. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews and documentation. And the validity of the data obtained from this study was obtained by triangulation of sources.

Abstract

This research is motivated by several advantages possessed by the Kurnia Computer course and training institution such as gaining the trust to carry out job learning activities and entrepreneurship skills learning activities, having two programs that have been nationally accredited, having instructors who have national competence, training activities centered on community training and provide complete learning facilities. This research has a type of descriptive research. The population in this study amounted to 15 respondents, the sample used was 5 respondents who were used as respondents. This study has a description of the management of the Kurnia Computer course and training institution in Pancung Problem District, South Coast District. The information processing step used in data collection is using a questionnaire, the tool used is a questionnaire while the formula uses a percentage formula. The results of this study if the data on the management of the Kurnia Computer course and training institution in Pancung Problem District, Pesisir Selatan Regency is classified as very good. With good management by managers who have an influence on the implementation of Kurnia Computer training in Pancung Problem District, Pesisir Selatan Regency.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the high interest of the trainees in successfully obtaining competency certification at the Evi salon training and course institution in Pariaman City, their enthusiasm for learning in training and the activeness of the trainees in the learning process. Allegedly caused by the skills of learning resources/instructors, interesting material was delivered by the instructor during the learning process. This type of research is quantitative descriptive research. The population in this study were 40 people who attended training at the Evi Salon Kota Pariaman training and training institute in 2018 and 2019 and the research sample consisted of 20 people. The data collection technique used a questionnaire, with a questionnaire sheet collection tool, and the data analysis technique used the percentage formula. It is highly recommended that the organizer or manager should be able to adjust and improve the needs of the training participants, so that the training can run well and smoothly. Learning resources/instructors to improve the appearance and use of learning media, so as to create a more intimate and motivated atmosphere in training. Training participants are able to take advantage of the knowledge and skills provided by the instructor and continue to apply and develop them in their daily lives.Keywords: Interests, Training, Competency Certification, Learning Implementation, Success, LKP

Abstract

This research was motivated by a course and training institution (LKP) Purwacaraka Music Studio Padang which has fairly stable course participants and good course participants' achievements in the midst of the covid-19 pandemic. This type of research is a case study with a qualitative approach. the main instrument of this research is the researcher himself. sources of data in this study were branch managers, LKP admins, tutors, course participants, and parents of course participants. Data collection techniques in this study were interviews, observation, and documentation. The validity of the data obtained from this research is by triangulation of data sources. The results showed that: LKP Purwacaraka Music Studio Padang did all the preparations for learning based on the direction of the central Purwacaraka Music Studio. The curriculum provided is based on the national standard of Indonesian music courses so that the preparation that must be done by course participants, the ability of tutors, the material taught, the media used, the methods used, the learning environment prepared for the convenience of visitors, and preparation for evaluation of the learning of course participants with national standards throughout the region Indonesia. This makes LKP Purwacaraka Music Studio course participants even in small areas able to compete at national and international levels.

Abstract

This article presents a study of Pancasila as a way of life for the Indonesian nation, specifically in the administration of education. This paper reveals how the universal values in Pancasila play a role in the practice of education towards the prosperity of the nation. This article combines practices in higher education and in non-formal education. This article was written using the bibliography method to provide a comparison of each scientific reference about the study written. This paper shows that the precepts in Pancasila are the crystallization of all disciplines and important aspects of life. Pancasila is the simplicity of complexity from science. Education should be based on values, governance, and prosperity. How knowledge becomes the basis of character that is managed with an awareness of the growth of social justice for all and is oriented towards encouraging the prosperity of the nation.

Abstract

The dynamics of non-formal education supervision in Indonesia and other developing countries involve various institutions, stakeholders and policy changes that can affect its implementation. Innovations in non-formal education supervision, such as the use of technology, community involvement and participatory approaches, can help improve the effectiveness of non-formal education supervision. In its implementation, challenges and problems in non-formal education supervision include limited resources, the diversity of non-formal education institutions, changes in policies and regulations, and community understanding and concern that need to be overcome. Solutions to overcome the challenges of non-formal education supervision involve improving the competence of supervisors, optimizing existing resources, involving the community, adapting changes in policies and regulations, and cooperation between supervision agencies, non-formal education institutions, government and related stakeholders.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan karena adanya kegiatan desa wisata dalam masyarakat. Tujuannya untuk meningkat ekonomi masyarakat melalui kegiatan program desa wisata sehingga masyarakat menjadi lebih berdaya dan mensejahterakan masyarakat Nagari Limau Gadang Lumpo. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mendeskripsikan pengelolaan program desa wisata Limau Gadang Lumpo sebagai upaya pemberdayaan masyarakat. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dengan memakai pendekatan kualitatif, dengan metode penelitiannya yaitu studi kasus. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini yaitu pengelola desa wisata Limau Gadang Lumpo sebagai subyek penelitian dan Wali Nagari sebagai informan penelitian. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data dan menarik kesimpulan. Teknik keabsahan data yaitu dengan menggunakan triangulasi sumber. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa proses pengelolaan desa wisata yaitu mulai dari perencanaan, pengorganisasian, penggerakan dan evaluasi.

Abstract

Tujuan dari artikel ini adalah untuk mengetahui respon dibalik implementasi kebijakan yang dilakukan oleh pemerintah. Kebijakan yang dimaksud adalah Peraturan Menteri Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan Republik Indonesia Nomor 9 Tahun 2020. Artikel ini merupakan hasil penelitian yang dilakukan. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Desain yang digunakan adalah studi kasus. Beberapa data tentang pendapat pengelola pendidikan nonformal di Padang diperoleh melalui penyebaran kuesioner. Beberapa data lain diperoleh melalui wawancara dengan informan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa praktisi pendidikan di Padang belum siap dan tidak mendukung implementasi kebijakan. Alasan di balik tanggapan tersebut adalah ketidakpercayaan praktisi terhadap perubahan yang direncanakan oleh pemerintah. Manajer pesimis tentang keberhasilan implementasi kebijakan ini. Hal ini terjadi karena setiap perubahan kebijakan yang ada selama ini tidak memberikan dampak yang signifikan.
