Abstract

The low level of cultural literacy among adolescents in Padang City is an issue that needs attention, especially because of the lack of understanding and appreciation of local cultural values. Tanah Ombak Reading Park as one of the community reading facilities has a strategic role in improving adolescent cultural literacy. This study aims to analyze the relationship between the use of community reading facilities at Tanah Ombak Reading Park and the level of adolescent cultural literacy. This study uses a quantitative, correlative approach method. The research data were obtained through a questionnaire distributed to 20 adolescent respondents who routinely accessed the reading facilities at Tanah Ombak Reading Park in Padang City. The results of the analysis showed a significant relationship between the use of community reading facilities and adolescent cultural literacy. The study found that the frequency of adolescents in utilizing reading parks was relatively low. The frequency of adolescents utilizing reading facilities is directly proportional to their cultural literacy, especially kato nan ampek. This finding confirms that community reading facilities have an important contribution in supporting the development of cultural literacy and encouraging active involvement of adolescents in preserving local culture.

Abstract

Lifelong learning (LLL) is essential for personal and professional growth. Despite its importance, research on LLL competencies is limited. This study explores the development of LLL competencies among college students with disabilities in a blended learning environment. This type of research uses a quantitative cross-sectional approach. The method used to collect data is a questionnaire. The data collection instrument uses a questionnaire sheet. This study involved 30 college students with disabilities. It used Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to examine four main factors influencing LLL competencies: access to information and literacy, openness to learning, self-direction, and self-evaluation. The results revealed that access to information, literacy, self-direction, and openness to learning did not significantly affect LLL competencies. However, curiosity emerged as a significant factor, highlighting its critical role in developing LLL skills. These findings suggest that fostering curiosity should be a priority in designing educational approaches for college students with disabilities. Higher education institutions can better prepare students for lifelong learning and professional success by nurturing this trait. This study underscores the importance of targeted strategies in blended learning environments to enhance the development of critical competencies among students with disabilities.

Abstract

This study utilized Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) to identify the core factors that constitute lifelong learning competencies among students with disabilities in a university context. This study aimed to evaluate the content validity and perform Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) on a 14-item scale designed to assess lifelong learning competencies in students with disabilities. The items were developed based on five key factors: Goal setting, application of knowledge and skills, self-direction and self-evaluation, locating information, and adaptable learning strategies Analyzing the responses of 46 students with disabilities, the study validated the content of the 14 items on the Lifelong Learning Competencies scale. However, the EFA process indicated that only these 10 items could be consolidated into theoretical factors, resulting in four key dimensions: curiosity, openness to learning, access to information and information literacy, and self-direction and self-evaluation. These factors encapsulate critical elements of lifelong learning competencies, including self-regulation, critical thinking, and adaptability. The findings underscore the necessity for universities to implement inclusive strategies that nurture these competencies, thereby fostering an environment conducive to the success of students with disabilities. This research contributes to the advancement of inclusive educational practices, ensuring that students with disabilities are equipped to thrive in lifelong learning and achieve academic and professional success.

Abstract

Vina Yuli Sartika. 2025. Hubungan Antara Kemandirian Belajar Dengan Minat Berwirausaha Peserta Pelatihan Menjahit di UPTD BLK Payakumbuh Fakultas Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Negeri Padang. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya minat berwirausaha peserta pelatihan menjahit. Salah satu faktor yang diduga menjadi penyebabnya yaitu minat berwirausaha peserta pelatihan menjahit. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui (1) gambaran kemandirian belajar peserta pelatihan menjahit di UPTD BLK Payakumbuh. (2) gambaran minat berwirausaha peserta pelatihan menjahit di UPTD BLK Payakumbuh. Serta (3) hubungan antara kemandirian belajar dengan minat berwirausaha peserta pelatihan menjahit di UPTD BLK Payakumbuh. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif korelasional, dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara dua variabel. Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan simple random sampling dari populasi sebanyak 30 orang, dan ditetapkan sebanyak 20 orang sebagai sampel. Instrumen pengumpulan data berupa angket, dan analisis data dilakukan menggunakan rumus persentase dan uji korelasi Spearman Rho. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, (1) tingkat kemandirian belajar peserta pelatihan menjahit berada dalam kategori rendah, (2) minat berwirausaha peserta juga berada pada kategori cenderung rendah dan (3) terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara kemandirian belajar dengan minat berwirausaha peserta pelatihan menjahit di UPTD BLK Payakumbuh.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya hasil belajar (kemampuan menyimak/choukai bahasa Jepang) peserta didik di LPK Asia Training Center Padang. Beberapa faktor yang diduga menjadi penyebabnya yaitu motivasi belajar dan iklim kelas. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yakni untuk mengetahui gambaran serta pengaruh dari variabel yang diteliti. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian asosiatif kausal yang bertujuan untuk mengkaji sejauh mana variabel bebas bisa memengaruhi variabel terikat. Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan stratified random sampling dari populasi sebanyak 58 orang, dan ditetapkan sebanyak 35 orang sebagai sampel. Instrumen pengumpulan data berupa kuesioner dan analisis data dilakukan menggunakan rumus persentase dan uji Regresi Linier Berganda. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, (1) Motivasi belajar peserta didik berada dalam kategori tinggi. (2) Iklim kelas peserta didik berada dalam kategori sangat tinggi (3) Hasil belajar peserta didik berada dalam kategori cukup. (4) Terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan antara motivasi belajar terhadap hasil belajar (kemampuan menyimak/choukai bahasa Jepang) peserta didik. (5) Terdapat pengaruh negatif dan signifikan antara iklim kelas terhadap hasil belajar (kemampuan menyimak/choukai bahasa Jepang) peserta didik. (6) Terdapat pengaruh motivasi belajar dan iklim kelas secara bersamaan (simultan) terhadap hasil belajar (kemampuan menyimak/choukai bahasa Jepang) peserta didik di LPK Asia Training Center Padang.

Abstract

 This research is motivated by the desire to analyze three main focuses, namely: (1) analyzing the combined influence of learning environment and reading motivation on reading interest, (2) analyzing the influence of each learning environment separately on reading interest, and (3) the influence of reading motivation on reading interest individually. This research was conducted at the Community Reading Park (TBM) Ruang Baca Rimba Bulan located in Padang Panjang City in the 2024/2025 academic year using an explanatory quantitative approach. The population in this study involved all TBM visitors, totaling 57 people. Through the use of the Slovin formula, a sample of 36 respondents was determined, taken randomly using the simple random sampling technique. The type of data used in this study is primary data, while data analysis was carried out using the multiple linear regression method using SPSS software version 25.0. This analysis includes classical assumption tests and hypothesis testing through F tests, t tests, and coefficient of determination tests. The regression equation obtained in this study is Y = 28.952 + 0.015X1 – 0.457X2 + e. The results of the F test produced a calculated F value of 2.052 with a significance level of 0.145 which is above the threshold of 0.05. This means that simultaneously, the variables of the learning environment and reading motivation do not have a significant effect on reading interest. Although theoretically both have a close influence on reading interest, statistical results show that the influence of both together is not strong enough to increase reading interest. Therefore, it is recommended that TBM visitors be more active in creating a learning environment that supports and strengthens internal reading motivation, in order to create a more optimal increase in reading interest.

Abstract

LPK Ranah Saiyo Sakato memiliki keunikan dengan menghadirkan instruktur asal Jepang (native speaker) yang tidak hanya mengajarkan aspek kebahasaan, tetapi juga menanam kan nilai-nilai budaya, etos kerja, serta mengajarkan kedisiplinan masyarakat Jepang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat proses pembelajaran bahasa Jepang yang terintegrasi dengan budaya serta memahami peran instruktur asal Jepang di LPK Ranah Saiyo Sakato Kota Padang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Informan terdiri dari pengelola, instuktur, dan peserta di LPK Ranah Saiyo Sakato Kota Padang. Analisis data menggunakan tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Teknik keabsahan data diperoleh melalui triangulasi sumber dan teknik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran bahasa Jepang di LPK Ranah Saiyo Sakato tidak hanya berfokus pada aspek linguistic (kebahasaan), tetapi juga menekankan pemahaman budaya Jepang, seperti etika komunikasi, kedisiplinan, pakaian dan tari tradisional, etos kerja, serta nilai-nilai sosial. Tujuan pembelajaran dirancang agar peserta mampu mencapai standar sertifikasi bahasa Jepang minimal N4 (JLPT), sekaligus memiliki kesiapan kultural untuk beradaptasi di Jepang.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi dari permasalahan rendahnya kedisiplinan anggota pramuka yang terlihat melalui kebiasaan datang terlambat, pelanggaran terhadap aturan, serta ketidaktepatan dalam penyusunan laporan kegiatan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis pengaruh penggunaan media audiovisual terhadap peningkatan disiplin anggota pramuka di SMPN 3 Kota Pariaman. Metode yang digunakan ialah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain eksperimen satu kelompok pretest-posttest, melibatkan seluruh populasi sebanyak 20 orang sebagai sampel penelitian. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan lembar observasi berbentuk checklist yang terdiri atas 25 butir pernyataan, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan uji chi-square. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa penerapan media audiovisual berada pada kategori tinggi, sedangkan tingkat kedisiplinan peserta setelah perlakuan meningkat ke kategori sangat tinggi. Nilai x² hitung yang melebihi x² tabel mengindikasikan adanya perbedaan yang signifikan antara hasil sebelum dan sesudah pelaksanaan. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa media audiovisual berpengaruh signifikan terhadap peningkatan kedisiplinan anggota pramuka karena penyajian pembelajaran yang menarik dan bersifat konkret mampu menumbuhkan nilai-nilai disiplin dalam diri peserta

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to develop an instrument to measure the level of social skills of children with disabilites related to bullying behavior. This is a developmental research, where the instruments that was developed is in the form of self-assessed questionnaire. The social skills instrument developed was using four dimensions that strongly related to bullying behavior, namely, emphaty, self-control, assertiveness, and cooperation. The development process were following four stages. First, a literature review was conducted for constructing the operational definition. Items for the instrument were 3 point Likert-type. The instruments then validated by peer evaluation and its reliability measured using internal consistency method. The result of the study is an instrument measuring the bullying-related social skills which ideally used within the extracurricular activities context where all children gather to socialized in a controlled environment.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya prososial anak usia dini di arena bermain fasilitas umum, ini terlihat dari perilaku anak yang suka memonopoli permainan, tidah sabar menunggu giliran, suka memukul teman, dan tidak menyukai teman dan lain sebagainya. Hal ini diduga disebabkan karena rendahnya partisipasi orang tua dalam pengembangan sosial anak.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menggambarkan kondisi faktual prosoaial anak usia dini di arena bermain fasilitas umum dan gambaran penembapartisipasi orang tua dalam pengembangaannya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan mixed method research. Subjek penelitian ditetapkan orang tua yang membawa anaknya usia dini bermain pada fasilitas bermain umum Setting penelitian ini ditetapkan pada arena bermain fasilitas umum di perumahan Singgalang Padang.Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi dan observasi partisipatif, wawancara mendalam. Teknik analisis data mengunakan analisis kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Prososial anak diarena Bermain fasilitas umum komplek Singgalang tergolong rendah, (2) Orang tua belum berpartisipasi dalam pengembangan sosial anak di arena bemain umum dengan baik dan benar.
