Abstract

Model FMU management plan Sintuwu Maroso as one model of community -based forest utilization . This is also expected through community access to forest areas. Thus the public will be more empowered and able to improve the ability, in using the natural resources optimally. But to realize it needed information about the potential and prospects, which is the social and cultural potential in supporting the development in the FMU Model Sintuwu Maroso. The research was conducted in the Tambarana village. Specified site intentionally (purposive sampling), with the main consideration, this village is one of the villages that fall within the area development model Sintuwu Maroso KPH. Analysis of the data is a descriptive analysis. From the results, it can be concluded as follows, that Socio-cultural potentials that exist in the Tambarana village, may indirectly support the Forest Management Unit (FMU) Sintuwu Maroso, Tambarana Village Community also has the potential to be social and cultural customs handed down through generations in terms of land use, the community formed a Land Control Team, and Other socio- cultural potential, characterized by harmonious relationships between residents and village rules made ​​to prevent the emergence of the conflict, one of which was the establishment of the FKUB. Abstract

Social Forestry is a state Forest which is primarily indicated to empower local communities. The goal of Social Forestry was to improve the public welfare around the forest, by providing greater access to the public to be able to harness the area of the forest in order to increase their income and quality of life. The development of Social Forestry have to be considered, starting from back-up working area of Social Forestry, the preparation conditions of the community, the formation of Social Forestry up to the establishment of monitoring and evaluation in the field. This research was aimed to determine the perceptions and attitudes of the community towards the development of Social Forestry such us community preparedness, biophysical, economic and the institutions. This research applied descriptive method through primary and secondary data, while data analysis which is used was 1-3-5 scale (Likert Scale Modified). The result showed the perceptions and attitudes of Kilo village towards the developing of Social Forestry plan is low, showed by a score(82). There are two factors that causes the understanding of society classified as very low or weak like education and socialization factors. Human resources in this village is very limited caused by on the average, people only took primary school education while the reason that causes lack of socialization is the limitation of the KPH. Different from the community of Kilo, they already well prepared and enthusiastic in welcoming the development of Social Forestry plan in their village was very high showed by a score (192) although their understanding about Social Forestry very low. Abstract

Forest condition in the Solonsa village, Wita Ponda district, Morowali regency and surrounding it is quite alarming nowadays. The damage that causes flood, droughts and landslides are the main factors that triggered the criticality and land degradation in some rural areas of Solonsa. The damage can be rehabilitated by involving the community to participate in a forestry program, in this case, the activity to make people’s nurseries (KBR). The program is devoted to the manufacture enrichment plant reforestation in Solonsa village. This research aimed at finding the community involvement in the activities of the people’s nurseries. This results are expected to be a useful written input to the government and non-governmental organization to carry out the nurseries program activities. The experimental method used in this research. This method is used in solving the problem by exploring the causal relationship of two or more variables through accurate experimentation. Software statistical program for social science (SPSS) used for the easiness data management and provisioning. The results show that the correlation between internal factors and community involvement, in relation to the age factor with the (0,266), education (0,056), the number of dependents (0,182), revenue (-0,163) was low toward the people’s nurseries activity. Lore Lindu National park (TNLL) plays significant roles on ecosystem protection and biodiversity supporting system of such kind of floras and faunas. The aims of this study are: 1) to identify the conflicts in TNLL, 2) to identify the roles of stakeholders, and 3) to arrange the collaborative programs as an effort of conflict resolution in TNLL. The study had been done in Dongi – Dongi village of TNLL. There are three methods of analysis has applied for this study i.e., spatial analysis method, stakeholder ansysis (4 Rs), and descriptive analysis. According to Ministry of Forestry Decree No. 464/Kpts-II/1999, July 23rd 1999, the total area of TNLL is 217.991,18 ha. Based on the study the land occupancy increase from 3.078,86 ha (1,41%) to 3.299,74 (1,51%) in 2010 and became 3.840,64 ha (1,74%) in 2014. The study has also identified the stakeholders who are involved in management of Dongi –Dongi such as BBTNLL, BPKH, BPDAS, Local Government, FPM, Community, NGOs, and Universities. It can be concluded that collaborative management of TNLL is the most reasonable resolution to resolve the conflict in Dongi – Dongi. Keywords: Resolution, Collaboration, Lore Lindu National Park

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to know compatibility planning documents of forest production management with techniques and field conditions. The research was conducted at Production Forest Management Unit (KPHP) Model Dampelas Tinombo, Donggala Regency, Central Sulawesi. Study was done by survey and explorative-description methods with qualitative approach. The results showed that documents of forest production management of KPHP Model Dampelas Tinombo compatible with Pedoman Petunjuk Teknis Dirjen Planologi Kehutanan Nomor: P.5/VII-WP3H/2012. Further, communities had high understanding on the planning of forest production management of KPHP Model Dampelas Tinombo. Keywords: Compatibility, Management planning, Production Forest.

Abstract

Local communities in many places have experienced in land use decisions, especially on Agroforestry systems. We examine the communities near Lore Lindu National Park (LLNP), who practicing the Agroforestry systems. This paper presents the typology of Agroforestry of the community near LLNP in Central Sulawesi. This research used qualitative-descriptive analysis by employing Geographic Information System (GIS), and The New Environmental Paradigm (NEP) analysis. The result shows that are two dominant agroforestry typologies in the research area: home garden and mixed garden. It is found that the mixed garden is dominant (combining many trees with cocoa, coffee, fruits, ect. According to the NEP analysis, it is also found that individual attitudes in Salua villagers are more dominant than in Simoro counterparts. The orientation in Salua is dominated by economic value. In contrast, Simoro has an altruistic value, that is, the land use system is not only for the economic orientation, but also for the socio-cultural value.

Abstract

Environmental degradation as indicated by the depletion of resources and the destruction of natural habitats is the impact of human-nature relationship. Furthermore, forest fires, illegal logging, gold mining and other related activities are forms of forest destruction that can be claimed to be more intense lately. Therefore, an initial measure should be carried out including identifying stakeholders’ responses toward the issues and assessment on the level of destruction. This study aims to examine stakeholders’ responses toward forest destruction in Tirtanagaya Village, Bolano Lambunu Sub-district, Parigi Moutong Regency. The techniques of data collection were observation and in-depth interview. Several key informants were selected for the interview in order to investigate their responses toward forest destruction in the study site. It used qualitative descriptive method for data analysis. In overall, the finding indicates that the responses of stakeholders in relation with forest destruction issues are relatively poor. It is evidenced by their low participation and lack of real actions to promote forest preservation. It will have a detrimental impact on the joint effort for overcoming the problems of forest destruction in Tirtanagaya Village.

Abstract

The participation is involvement society as active that is considered as one of the key for the approach that very promise in management forest production in development forest plants program. The government have to eforts the construction forest plants either in the forest area or in area the society property, that is more emphasize for the society participation aspect in it. The research purpose to know the society participation level and the elements relation that influence the society participation for the forest production management in development forest plants program. This research is done for three month begin april until june 2016. The location of research in sigimpu village in palolo subdistrict sigi regency.The method is used in this research, used spearmank rank correlation test. The result of this research that the society participation level for planning phase in development forest plants activity is low while for implementation phase is high. The factors infivence the participation of society for the forest plant development seen by age, education level and income level. The relation between factors influence the participation of society for every phase of development of forest plants activity, that is age factor with every phase of development of forest plants is valueable positive that pointed out of the same direction system, education level is pointed out of the same direction system too. For planning and implementation phase is pointed out of the same direction system, too.
