Abstract

The utilization of wanyi seeds (Mangifera caesia Jack.) in making ethanol by enzymatic hydrolysis and fermentation using Saccharomyces cerevisiae has been carried out. The method used is the hydrolysis of α-amylase and gluco-amylase enzymes, fermentation with time variation and yeast concentration as well as the addition of 0.5% urea nutrition and 0.06% NPK, distillation and gas chromatography. Ethanol content 98.508% at 6 days fermentation with yeast concentration 0.23%.

Abstract

Research on the adsorption of benzoic acid compounds using activated carbon of banana stems (Musa paradisiaca L) has been carried out. The method used is adsorption with activated adsorbent modification. SEM morphological results on banana stems showed differences before and after activation. From the research results obtained the optimum adsorption concentration of activated carbon of banana stems at adsorbent weight of 0.6 grams, xylene concentration of 40 ppm and adsorption capacity of 1.165 mg/g. Optimum time of activated carbon of banana stem was 0.4 gram, adsorption time was 45 minutes and adsorption capacity was 1.772 mg/g.

Abstract

Analysis of caffeine content in Arabica coffee and Robusta coffee using Ultra Violet (UV) spectrophotometers and High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) was carried out. Coffee samples were soxhleted with 96% ethanol with the rotation variation used, namely 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12. The extract was dissolved in 96% ethanol and tested with a UV spectrophotometer. The results obtained caffeine content in arabica coffee for 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12 rotations are 1.347 mg/L, 1.631 mg/L, 1.953 mg/L, 2.868 mg/L and 3.764 mg/L respectively. While the caffeine content obtained by Robusta coffee for 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12 turns are 1.820 mg/L, 2.258 mg/L, 2.741 mg/L, 3.814 mg/L and 4.781 mg/L, respectively. Caffeine content in Arabica and Robusta coffee were analyzed by HPLC. The results obtained in Arabica coffee are retention time of 5.079 minutes, area of 1265348 and height of 56539 and in Robusta coffee the retention time is 5,083 minutes, the area is 1249273 and the height is 55700.

Abstract

Determination of Ammonia Levels (NH3) in Mahakam River Water at 5 points around the city of Samarinda has been carried out. The method used is to use a spectrophotometer by the phenate method. The results obtained at these five points are samples of Mahakam river water (Loa Janan Ilir), Mahakam river water (Samarinda Seberang), Mahakam river water (Sungai Kunjang), Mahakam river water (Samarinda Kota) and Mahakam river water (Sambutan) respectively with a concentration was 0.1043 mg/L; 0.1141 mg/L; 0.1303 mg/L; 0.0812 mg/L and 0.1214 mg/L. These results indicate that the highest ammonia concentration is in the Mahakam River (Sungai Kunjang), which is possible due to the high activity of ships. Abstract

Artikel ini melihat premanisme sebagai upaya mendapat pengakuan eksistensi sekaligus kekuasaan pada satu kelompok di sektor informal di Kota Kalabahi, Kabupaten Alor. Dalam tujuan melihat kontestasi para preman membangun peran patron klien, tulisan ini menyoroti pola eksistensi premanisme yang dilakukan di pasar, terminal dan pelabuhan dengan menjelaskan bagaimana para preman menciptakan hubungan patron-klien. Hubungan ini menyebabkan ketergantungan para pelaku aktivitas sektor ekonomi terhadap kelompok preman di pasar, terminal dan pelabuhan. Selain menciptakan hubungan patronase antara preman dengan para pelaku sektor ekonomi, kelompok preman turut membangun relasi resiprositas antar sesama preman untuk mengukuhkan pengaruhnya terhadap pembagian wilayah kekuasaan yang dilakukan oleh para kelompok-kelompok premanisme lainnya.

Abstract

Teknologi saat ini sudah semakin berkembang, semakin banyak nya penerapan dan pemakaian teknologi saat ini juga semakin banyak. Kebutuhan teknologi untuk mendapatkan dan menyebarkan sebuah informasi juga sangat dibutuhkan pada saat era ini. Dampak kemajuan teknologi dan informasi pada saat ini tentu dapat digunakan dalam berbagai bidang informasi pada proses transaksi. PDAM adalah sebuah perusahaan yang bergerak pada bidang penyediaan air bersih untuk kebutuhan sehari-hari masyarakat, dalam proses pelayanannya PDAM sudah menggunakan sebuah website yang dapat langsung di akses oleh masyarakat luas. namun terdapat beberapa masalah yang selama ini terjadi sehingga membuat bingung para pengguna website tersebut. Karena kegiatan pembayaran penggunaan air merupakan kegiatan rutin dan signifikan. Melalui perancangan user interface atau user experience dapat mempengaruhi pengguna untuk menggunakan website karena tampilan yang menarik dan diharapkan dapat memberi solusi agar lebih memudahkan konsumen dalam pelayanan untuk dapat melakukan pertukaran informasi dan data hingga transaksi pembayaran yang bisa dilakukan dalam website PDAM Karawang. Dengan menggunakan tahapan-tahapan Design Thinking dan wawancara yang dilakukan kepada pegawai PDAM dan masyarakat, sehingga dapat merancang sebuah sistem informasi pembayaran penggunaan air yang dapat memudahkan konsumen dalam pertukaran informasi dalam layanan transaksi secara online sehingga konsumen tidak perlu pergi ke situs lain

Abstract

Penggunaan teknologi komputer dikatakan lebih efektif dan efisien karena adanya kemudahan dalam pengaksesan dan pengambilan informasi. Perkembangan teknologi ini juga mempengaruhi cara input data sebagai validasi pemberitahuan kehadiran Mahamahasiswa. Seperti penggunaan teknologi Quick Response Code (QR Code). Presensi setiap mahamahasiswa dan dosen dalam lembaga pembelajaran adalah salah satu bahan yang harus dilakukan karena memiliki peranan penting, dimana presensi merupakan salah satu penunjang yang dapat mendukung atau memotivasi setiap kegiatan di dalamnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membangung aplikasi e-presensi Berbasis web menggunakan qr code agar rekapitulasi kehadiran mahamahasiswa menjadi lebih efektif dan efisien. Aplikasi ini menggunakan teknologi Qr Code untuk pencatatan presensi dengan menggunakan handphone sebagai media pemindainya.

Abstract

'Delleng Degak' is a tourist destination in Sibagindar Village, Pakpak Bharat, North Sumatra, where a commodity forest for the camphor tree species was established in 2022. The camphor wood forest is being promoted as an ecotourism destination that is educational, historical, and scientific, in addition to its rare population. Nevertheless, the status of a forest area presents a challenge in terms of access to tourist locations, in addition to the absence of capacity and ability to manage tourist areas. The objective of this research is to ascertain the community's level of sensitivity in addressing opportunities arising from the forest area utilization agenda through tourism development initiatives. A qualitative approach method with descriptive data analysis techniques is employed in this research. The findings of this investigation indicate that the absence of community-based tourism management capabilities serves as an impediment to the advancement of ecotourism development concepts. The community is presented with new challenges as a result of the presence of camphor forests in forest areas. Consequently, forest area management initiatives are implemented in conjunction with community-based ecotourism development programs. Indirectly, the development of ecotourism that prioritizes community involvement is a critical component of the preservation of the socio-cultural and ecological values that have been passed down by their ancestors. Ultimately, this presented a dilemma for the residents of Lebbuh Marga Manik Perlambuken, Sibagindar Village, who were apprehensive about the potential loss of their ancestral heritage. Particularly in regard to the camphor forests that were previously a source of income for the community.

Abstract

The Hydrogen storage based-graphite materials have been investigated theoretically via Density Functional Theory (DFT) approach. The native graphite was compared to the modified graphite, namely the intercalation graphite (GICs, graphite intercalated compounds). Here the GICs was intercalated by alkali metals (Li, Na and K). The electronic structures, energetics and atomic orbital contributions of hydrogen-graphite system, GICs, and hydrogen-GICs were studied by calculation approach of gradient corrected PBE (Perdew-Burke-Ernzerhof) for recovery of exchange-correlation energy. The calculation was supported by using basis set of the plane waves whereas the computation of electron-core by using Ultrasoft Vanderbilt pseudopotential. The computational calculation provides four main studies i.e. molecular geometry relaxation, determination of electronic bands structure of energy, energy state density (DOS) and atomic orbital contribution by charge density differences.Keywords: Density Functional Theory, hydrogen gas, graphite intercalated material

Abstract

Artificial photosynthesis modelling of Ca-Pc-PDI complex Ca Phthalocyanine Perylenediimide), and dendrimer molecule using Density of Functional Theory (DFT) Method has been studied to showed the energy efficiency of these compounds in terms of electron transfer in photosynthesis. The Analysis of Ca-Pc-PDI and dendrimer compound and also chlorophyl has been done in all computations using the GAMESS-US software. The computations result in this research showed that the large wavelength complex compounds of Ca-Pc-PDI obtained was 138.3299 nm and energy efficiency obtained was 0.89 eV. The data analysis states that the absorption of harvest light energy of complex compounds Ca-Pc-PDI lies in the far UV spectrum. The other side, the polyphenylene dendrimer structure molecular orbital analyses it was found that the dendrimer was capable of electron transfers as indicated by the existence of HOMO and LUMO and result comparisons with chlorophyll. UV wavelengths of the polyethylene dendrimer and chlorophyll, respectively, suggesting that the polyphenylene dendrimer is capable of substituting chlorophyll in artificial photosyntheses. We can states from the result that these compound ability to be applied in the modeling of artificial photosynthesis as a material of energy absorption that mimics the workings of chlorophyll in terms of electron transfer in natural photosynthesis process.
