Abstract

Mosques, Muslim houses of worship, have always emphasized a solemn and peaceful atmosphere. Daylighting plays a vital role in creating this atmosphere, but is often overlooked or misunderstood. This research looks at how daylighting affects the religious experience in mosques and how architectural design can maximize it. Through case studies of specific mosques, this research analyzes aspects such as opening design, building orientation, and the use of skylights on the distribution and intensity of natural light. In addition, the research explores mosque users' perceptions of lighting quality and its effect on the solemnity of worship. The findings are expected to answer critical questions such as: Is the existing opening design optimal? Does the orientation of the building affect the level of lighting comfort? How does natural light affect the spiritual atmosphere of worshipers? These findings will be reflected into optimal daylighting design recommendations for mosques, supporting increased comfort and solemnity for worshippers.

Abstract

The study on the Implementation of Islamic Architecture at Ummusabri Early Childhood Education Center (PAUD) in Kendari City is an in-depth analysis of the architectural design of this early childhood education institution. The research aims to comprehend the implementation of Islamic architectural principles in the structure of PAUD Ummusabri, with a focus on elements such as lighting, geometric patterns, integration with nature, and the influence of traditional Islamic architecture. The research methodology involves on-site observations, documentation studies, and interviews with architects or relevant stakeholders. The findings are anticipated to provide profound insights into how Islamic architectural design is applied in pre-school educational institutions, particularly in PAUD Ummusabri.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a crucial role in enhancing community resources and advancing the economy in Indonesia. The purpose of this research is to analyze and describe the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises Development Center (MSMEC) in East Kolaka using a Neo-Vernacular emphasis. A qualitative descriptive method is applied in this study, with data obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation review related to the development and characteristics of the MSMEC in the area. The results of the study show that the MSMEC in East Kolaka not only functions as a place for economic activities but also as a center of social interaction that strengthens local identity. The application of Neo-Vernacular architecture in the design of the MSMEC building demonstrates a combination of tradition and modernity, creating a space that supports the sustainability of MSMEs and enhances the attraction for tourists. This research offers new perspectives in the development of policies and strategies to strengthen MSMEs in East Kolaka.

Abstract

One of the objectives of rural development, as emphasized in Article 78, paragraph (1) of Law Number 6 of 2014 concerning Villages, is to improve the welfare of rural communities and the quality of human life, as well as poverty alleviation through the development of local economic potentials and the sustainable utilization of natural resources and the environment. The development and enhancement of local economic potentials can realize the economic self-reliance of the village. Watiginanda Village needs to undertake strategic initiatives, including the development and improvement of the local economy. Community service is conducted through the method of data collection and mapping of the local economic potentials of Watiginanda Village, which can be built and developed by the village government. In conclusion, Watiginanda Village has local potentials that can elevate its status from a developing village to an advanced village, including agricultural, fisheries, and tourism potentials. Abstract

This study aimed  to examine the role of destination brand love in mediating destination brand authenticity on destination loyalty (a study of marine tourists in Wakatobi National Park). The study  on destination brands is  important for several reasons, firstly, there are still limited studies on destination brand love as a mediation of destination brand authenticity to the destination loyalty. There were four hypotheses  developed and tested within 100 travelers as sample frame. Respondent data were collected from 100 tourists from Wakatobi National Park through questionnaires. Partial Least Square Data Analysis Technique (PLS) was used as a data analysis technique in this study. The results of this study showed  that the path of destination brand love can mediate destination brand authenticity on destination loyalty and the hypothesis was accepted in this study.

Abstract

Mayoritas penduduk di Kabupaten Buton yang beragama Islam menjadikan keberadaan pondok pesantren sebagai elemen penting dalam mendukung pendidikan agama Islam. Penelitian ini berjudul “Perencanaan Pondok Pesantren Modern di Desa Lapodi, Kabupaten Buton dengan Pendekatan Arsitektur Islam” dan menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif melalui wawancara, dokumentasi, dan studi literatur. Penelitian bertujuan merancang Pondok Pesantren Modern sebagai pusat pendidikan, keagamaan, dan keterampilan dengan fokus pada pengelolaan lahan, penyediaan fasilitas pendukung, dan penerapan prinsip arsitektur Islam. Pendekatan perencanaan mengadopsi konsep makro yang menekankan pengembangan bangunan secara keseluruhan, serta konsep mikro yang memperhatikan kebutuhan fungsional, kapasitas, kenyamanan, dan keamanan santri maupun pengunjung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa desain yang dirancang tidak hanya memenuhi kebutuhan fungsional, tetapi juga menciptakan lingkungan harmonis yang kondusif bagi pengembangan karakter santri serta memberikan identitas budaya melalui penerapan arsitektur Islam. Desain ini diharapkan menjadi acuan bagi pengembangan pondok pesantren lainnya di Indonesia.

Abstract

ABSTRAK. Kabupaten Kolaka berfungsi sebagai pintu masuk antara Sulawesi Tenggara dan Sulawesi Selatan, serta dikenal sebagai pusat kegiatan ekonomi dengan pertumbuhan pesat, terutama di sektor perdagangan. Penelitian ini bertujuan merencanakan pusat perbelanjaan di Kolaka dengan menerapkan arsitektur hemat energi untuk mendukung aktivitas masyarakat. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif, mencakup analisis masalah, pengumpulan, dan analisis data primer serta sekunder yang relevan, serta studi literatur dan observasi. Penerapan arsitektur hemat energi difokuskan pada pengurangan penggunaan energi tanpa mengubah fungsi bangunan, sehingga menciptakan lingkungan yang lebih efisien dan berkelanjutan.   Kata Kunci: pusat perbelanjaan, hemat energi, Kolaka   ABSTRACT. Kolaka Regency serves as an entry point between Southeast Sulawesi and South Sulawesi and is known as an economic center with rapid growth, particularly in the trade sector. This research aims to plan a shopping center in Kolaka by applying energy-efficient architecture to support community activities. The method used is qualitative, encompassing problem analysis, collection, and analysis of relevant primary and secondary data, as well as literature studies and observations. The application of energy-efficient architecture focuses on reducing energy consumption without altering the building's function, thereby creating a more efficient and sustainable environment.   Keywords: Shopping center, Energy-efficient, Kolaka
