Abstract

This society service was done at the request from teachers of SMAN 3 Padang Panjang in 2019. In this activity, teachers were given materials on technology based media and techniques to develop it accordingly to the demand of national curriculum. 20 teachers followed the activity that began with the installation of ebook maker program, tutorial on getting and editing media from online resources, introduction to appropriate learning media, development of e-module integrating video, audio, animation, hyperlink and other interactive features, and distribution of Likert scale questionnaire on the last day of the activity. Data showed that terachers had facilities, access and support to implement technology based learning. E-module got positive response from teachers of SMAN 3 Padang Panjang, for it is perceived to be capable of delivering learning material and evaluation effectively.

Abstract

This classroom action research aimed to increase students’ answering activity and quality of the answer to questions asked in Strategi Pembelajaran Kimia course. This research was done in two cycles each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection phases. Instruments used in this research were observation sheet and questionnaire. Prompting questions had been designed for each meeting. Primary action given was asking prompting questions in learning. Two observers did observation and lecture was recorded with camera. Observation data from observers and camera recording were analyzed descriptively to get percentage of students who answered question before and after prompting was given as well as to get percentage of keywords in the answer given by students. The result showed that students’ answering activity increased after prompting was given. The quality of the answer got better with prompting questions as well. The aid of visual media given in the next cycle showed that students dared to explain concepts they had not been familiar with. Other actions that increased students’ answering activity were time and reward givings. Data from questionnaire distributed at the end of the course showed that students like prompting questions because they could understand the question and concept asked and then find the answer.

Abstract

The 2013 curriculum recommends scientific approach in learning and expects students to be skilled in using ICT. The research aim to develop a chemical equilibrium e-module based on scientific approach for XI SMA/ MA class and to determine validity and practicality level. This research is Research and Development (R&D) with 4-D model. Validity test was done by 3 chemistry lecturers at FMIPA UNP, 1 multimedia lecturer at FT UNP, 2 chemistry teachers at SMAN 1 Pariaman and 1 chemistry teacher at SMAN 7 Padang. Practicality test was done by 2 chemistry teachers at SMAN 1 Pariaman, 1 chemistry teacher at SMAN 7 Padang and 30 XII MIPA 7 SMAN 1 Pariaman students. The instrument was validity and practical questionnaire and data was analyzed by Cohen Kappa formula. This study produced a chemical equilibrium e-module based on scientific approach with an average kappa moments 0,81 which is very high level of validity. The results of the teacher practicality test and the students practicality test obtained an average of kappa moments in a sequence of 0,85 and 0,84 with a very high level of practicality Keywords: e-module, scientific approach, 4-D models, chemical equilibrium

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkapkan tingkat praktikalitas dari penggunaan media pembelajaran PowerPoint-iSpring terintegrasi pertanyaan prompting pada materi titrasi asam basa di dalam proses pembelajaran kimia kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Lintau. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian Research and Development (R & D). Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah 2 orang guru kimia dan 15 orang siswa yang telah belajar titrasi asam basa. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah lembar angket praktikalitas yang telah divalidasi oleh ahli. Data diolah menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif  memakai rumus persentase praktikalitas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa berdasarkan analisis respon guru, tingkat praktikalitas media  tergolong sangat praktis dengan nilai 87 %, sedangkan berdasarkan analisis respons siswa, tingkat praktikalitas media pembelajaran ini juga sangat praktis. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa media pembelajaran PowerPoint-iSpring terintegrasi pertanyaan prompting pada materi titrasi asam basa sangat praktis digunakan guru dan siswa didalam pembelajaran.

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas media pembelajaran PowerPoint-iSpring terintegrasi pertanyaan prompting pada submateri pergeseran  kesetimbangan kimia terhadap hasil belajar siswa SMA/MA. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu eksperimen semu. Populasi pada penelitian adalah seluruh siswa jurusan IPA kelas XI di SMAN 1 Kecamatan Payakumbuh tahun ajaran 2021/2022. Penelitian ini menggunakan dua kelas dengan teknik pengambilan sampel  purposive sampling. Instrumen penelitian adalah tes hasil belajar dengan jenis soal pilihan ganda, data dianalisis dengan uji n-gain dan uji hipotesis dengan uji Mann Whitney (U test) menggunakan SPSS. Hasil penelitian kelas eksperimen dengan nilai n-gain kategori tinggi dan kelas kontrol kategori sedang. Hasi uji hipotesis yang didapatkan Asymp sig. (2-tailed) 0,000. Analisis data tersebut menyimpulkan hipotesis diterima yang artinya media PowerPoint-iSpring terintegrasi pertanyaan prompting pada submateri pergeseran  kesetimbangan kimia efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa SMA/MA.

Abstract

This research aims to develop PowerPoint-iSpring learning media on redox topic and determine its level of validity. This research used educational design research which is developed by Plomp. Research procedures consist of preliminary research stage, prototyping stage and  assessment stage. Instruments used was validation sheets consist of content, construct and media validity questionnaire, and one to one evaluation interview sheet. Subjects of this research were chemistry lecturers of FMIPA UNP, chemistry teachers as topic experts, engineering lecturers of FT UNP as media experts, and 10th grade students of SMAN 3 Mukomuko in the 2021 to 2022 academic year. Data obtained were analysed by using the Aikens V formula, and the results indicate that the PowerPoint-iSpring learning media on the redox material developed as a whole is valid. The average value of content validity for basic competency index 1, 2 and 3 is as followed 0.84, 0.83, and 0.83. The average value of construct validity for basic competency index 1, 2, and 3 is as followed 0.85, 0.86, and 0.85. The average value of media validity for basic competency index 1, 2, and 3 is 0.97.

Abstract

We have previously produced a PowerPoint-iSpring Integrated Learning Media Multiple Chemical Representations on Acid-Base Materials. It is valid and practical but has not been tested for its effectiveness on student learning outcomes in Senior High School. The research is experimental with a quasi-experimental design with a Non-equivalent Control Group Design. The research population is all class XI Senior High School students for the 2021/2022 academic years. Purposive sampling was used as a sampling technique with homogeneous sampling criteria. The classes selected as samples were class XI MIPA 1 as the experimental class and class XI MIPA 2 as the control class. The instruments used were questionnaires and student learning outcomes tests in the form of 20 multiple choice questions. The N-Gain and hypothesis testing were carried out for data analysis with an independent sample t-test. Based on the data analysis, the N-Gain of the experimental class was higher than the control class with the medium category. Abstract

The colligative of properties of solution is one of the mandatory materials in high school/MA level chemistry subjects in class XII. The concepts in the colligative properties of solutions are abstract, so it is often difficult for students to understand. To respond to the problems above, there has been the development of Microsoft PowerPoint-iSpring media that integrates prompting questions and three levels of chemical representation on the colligative properties of the solution, but the practicality and effectiveness tests have not been carried out. This study aims to demonstrate the practicality and effectiveness of the integrated PowerPoint-iSpring learning media with multiple chemical representations and prompt questions on the colligative properties of solutions on the learning outcomes of students in class XII science high school/MA. In this study, practicality and effectiveness tests were conducted. The effectiveness test used a pre-experimental design research design with one group pretest post-test research design. The educated population consisted of students in class XI IPA and XII MIPA at SMAN 2 Koto XI Tarusan and the sample was selected using the purposive sampling technique. The sample class in this study was class XII MIPA 3. The instrument for the practicality test was in the form of a questionnaire, while for the effectiveness test the instrument was in the form of a multiple choice test. The results of the study obtained a practicality value of 78.25 from teachers and students with practical categories based on practicality data analysis from practitioners and the integrated PowerPoint-iSpring learning media with multiple chemical representations and prompting questions on the material colligative properties of effective solutions in improving student learning outcomes in class XII IPA at SMAN 2 Koto XI Tarusan with an N-Gain score of 0.77 in the high category and analysis a t-test obtained that the pretest average was significantly smaller than the posttest average.

Abstract

This study aims to reveal the level of effectiveness of the PowerPoint-iSpring multimedia integrated prompting questions on guided discovery learning based electrolyte and nonelectrolyte solution learning on the learning outcomes of class X SMA students. SDI Silungkang seen from the value of pretest and posttest . This type of research is pre-experimental with one group pretest posttest design . The population and sample in this study were class X SMA SDI Silungkang. The sampling technique in this study is a saturated sampling technique. The research instrument used was a multiple choice question with 20 items with 5 answer choices. From the results of the study, the average value of the pretest of students was 36.90 and the average value of the posttest was 84.52. Student learning outcomes showed that there were no students who scored below the KKM. The N-Gain value obtained is 0.76 in the high category. It can be concluded that the PowerPoint-iSpring multimedia integrated prompting questions in guided discovery learning -based electrolyte and nonelectrolyte solution learning is effective in improving the learning outcomes of class X students at SMA SDI Silungkang.
