Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar Biologi melalui model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Teams-Games-Tournament (TGT) kelas XI MIA IV di SMA Muhammadiyah Tarakan.  Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) dengan dua siklus yang terdiri tahapan perencanaan, tindakan, Observasi dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI MIA IV yang berjumlah 32 siswa. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptip kuantitatif dengan menggunakan tes setiap akhir siklus. Peningkatan hasil belajar diamati dari peningkatan rata-rata siswa mulai dari siklus I dan siklus II. Hasil penelitian ini dengan penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TGT dapat meningkatan hasil belajar siswa kelas XI. Pada siklus I skor presentase sebesar 56% dan mengalami peningkatan pada siklus ke II menjadi 81%. Dengan demikian penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TGT pada mata pelajaran Biologi  dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas XI MIA IV

Abstract

Abstract: Pengabdian pada masyarakat pada kegiatan ini adalah memberikan wawasan pengetahuan tentang penulisan karya ilmiah. Pelatihan pengabdian ini tujuannya adalah mendampingi para guru dalam menulis karya ilmiah penelitian tindakan kelas secara benar dan mendampingi guru dalam prosedur penulisan karya ilmiah dalam jurnal.Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan pengabdian adalah metode ceramah, diskusi dan praktik. Metode ceramah untuk menyampaikan tentang penulisan karya ilmiah berbasis penelitian tindakan kelas dan prosedur penulisan karya ilmiah dalam jurnal. sedangkan metode praktik untuk memberikan kesempatan berlatih kepada peserta untuk membuat tulisan karya ilmiah. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian secara keseluruhan dapat dinilai cukup baik, dilihat dari keberhasilan target jumlah peserta pelatihan dinilai baik (90%), prosedur pelaksanaan dalam melaksanakan penelitian tindakan kelas di nilai baik mencapai (76%), dan ketercapaian tujuan pelatihan dalam penulisan artikel dinilai cukup baik (50 %).Abstract: Community devotion to this activity is to provide insight into the knowledge of the writing of scientific papers. This devotional training is aimed at assisting teachers in properly writing scientific research on classroom action research and accompanying teachers in publication procedures of scientific papers in journals. The methods used in devotional activities are lecture, discussion and practice methods. Methods of lectures and discussion to convey about the writing of scientific papers based on classroom action research and scientific journal writing procedures in journals. While practice methods to provide the opportunity to participants  practice writing scientific papers. The results of overall devotion activities can be considered good enough, seen from the success of the target number of trainees is considered good (90%), implementation procedures in conducting classroom action research in good grades reached (76%), and the achievement of training objectives in the article writing is considered quite good (50%).

Abstract

This research was to develop a cognitive test tool based on Revised Bloom’s Taxonomy. This study aimed to determine the quality of the test based on experts assessment, to measure the level of validity, reliability, and to determine the difficulty levels of the questions, discrimination power, and distractors. This research employed Research and Development (R&D) method. The development test model used was the 4D procedure which was modified into three steps: define, design, and develop. The subjects were the Science students of XI grade at SMAN 2 Tarakan and SMA Muhammadiyah Tarakan.  The results of the study were: (1) the experts validation analysis showed that the cognitive test has been categorized as  valid which the value was 4.28 (2) The quality of cognitive test  were: (A) the 90% items were valid, while 10% were invalid. (B) the reliability value was 0.79 (highly reliable) (C) the levels of difficulty were: easy (27%), moderate (53%), difficult (20%). (D)the test discrimination index were: weak (10%), sufficient (33%), good (53%), and either once (3%). (E) distractors effectiveness: effective category (85%), ineffective (15%). Assessment results from expert validators and empirical tests indicate that this cognitive test device is feasible to use and apply. The uniformity of this level of difficulty makes the quality of items were good to use. The discrimination power of these test tool, which has good value, indicate that the high diversity of items is able to measure students' abilities.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA dengan menerapkan model PAKEM Untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Di SMP Negeri 10 Tarakan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang terdiri atas dua siklus. Pada tiap siklus terdiri atas dua kali pertemuan, dengan tahapan pada setiap siklus yaitu perencanaan, tindakan, observasi dan refleksi. Instrument yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu, lembar observasi aktivitas guru, aktivitas siswa, Tes Hasil Belajar, dan Lembar Kerja siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukan model pembelajaran PAKEM dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas VII Di SMP Negeri 10 Tarakan. Pada siklus I 50% dan siklus II mengalami peningkatan yaitu 79%. Nilai siswa secara klasikal yang diperoleh tersebut telah mencapai indikator ketuntasan yaitu 75%. Hasil pengamatan aktivitas guru mengajar siklus I dengan skor 71% dengan kategori baik, siklus II dengan skor 74% masuk kedalam kategori baik dan hasil aktivitas siswa siklus I memperoleh persentase 64% untuk pertemuan 1 dengan kategori cukup dan pada pertemuan kedua memperoleh persentase 76% dengan kategori baik, siklus II pada pertemuan I memperoleh persentase 80% dan pertemuan kedua memperoleh persentase 84% masuk dalam berkategori sangat baik.Kata Kunci : Model Pembelajaran PAKEM, Hasil Belajar IPA  This study aims to improve science learning outcomes by applying the PAKEM model to improve learning outcomes at SMP Negeri 10 Tarakan. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR) which consists of two cycles. Each cycle consists of two meetings, with stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The instruments used in this study are teacher activity observation sheets, student activities, learning outcomes tests, and student worksheets. The results showed that the PAKEM learning model could improve science learning outcomes for seventh-grade students at SMP Negeri 10 Tarakan. In the first cycle, 50% and the second cycle increased by 79%. The classical student scores obtained have reached the completeness indicator, namely 75%. The results of observations of teacher teaching activities in cycle I with a score of 71% with a good category, cycle II with a score of 74% fall into the good category and the results of student activity in cycle I get a percentage of 64% for meeting 1 with a good category and at the second meeting a percentage of 76% with good category, cycle II at the first meeting obtained a percentage of 80% and the second meeting obtained a percentage of 84% included in the very good category.Keywords: PAKEM Learning Model, Science learning outcomes

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian  ini  bertujuan  untuk  mengetahui  struktur  anatomi  tumbuhan famili  Solanaceae  serta  menghasilkan  produk  berupa  lembar  kegiatan  siswa (LKS) yang layak digunakan. Jenis penelitian yaitu Research and Development (RD) menggunakan  model  pengembangan  Borg   Gall  (1983)  yang hanya dilakukan sampai tahap kelima. Hasil penelitianan atomi menunjukkan bahwa jaringan penyususn akar, batang, dan daun tumbuhan  famili Solanaceae (P. angulata, C. annuum, S. melongena, S. torvum, dan S. lycopersicum) relatif sama. Akar tersusun atas jaringan epidermis, korteks, dan jaringan vaskular. Batang tersusun dari jaringan epidermis, jaringan dasar, jaringan penguat, dan jaringan pengangkut. Namun, pada batangC. Annuum terdapat trikoma multi seriata. Pada batang S. torvum,S. melongena dan S. lycopersicum terdapat sel idioblas, trikoma stellata, dan trikoma kapitata. Daun tersusun dari jaringan epidermis, palisade, dan bunga karang. Pada daun P. angulata terdapat stomata, sel idioblas yang berisi kristal druss dan trikoma kapitata. Pada daun C. annuum terdapat stomata, sel idioblas yang berisi Kristal drus, trikoma multiseriata dan trikoma multiseluler. Pada daun S. melongena  dan  S.  torvum  terdapat  trikoma  stellata  dan  trikoma  kapitata. Sedangkan daun S. lycopersicum terdapat stomata, trikoma kapitata, dan trikoma uniseriata. Hasil penelitian berupa pengembangan lembar kegiatan siswa (LKS) mendapatkan nilai validasi dari ahli media dengan  persentase 91,76% (sangat layak) dan ahli materi 72,22% (layak) serta persentase dari uji respon guru sebesar 80% (menarik) dan siswa sebesar 82,32% (sangat menarik). Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa lembar kegiatan siswa (LKS) struktur dan fungsi jaringan tumbuhan famili Solanaceae layak untuk digunakan sebagai sumber belajar siswa SMA kelas XI IPA.Kata Kunci: Anatomi, Solanaceae, Lembar Kegiatan Siswa (LKS).AbstractThis study aims to determine the anatomical structure of the Solanaceae family of plants and produce a product in students' worksheets. The type of research, namely Research and Development (RD) using the Borg Gall (1983) development model, was only carried out until the fifth stage. The results of the atomic study showed that the tissues that made up the roots, stems, and leaves of the Solanaceae family (P. angulata, C. annuum, S. melongena, S. torvum, and S. lycopersicum) were relatively the same. Roots are composed of epidermal tissue, cortex, and  vascular tissue.  The stem is composed of epidermal tissue, ground tissue, reinforcing  tissue,   and   transport    tissue.   However,  in stem  C. Annuum has multi seriata. On stems of S. torvum, S. melongena, and S. lycopersicum contained idioblast cells, stellate trichomes, and capitate trichomes. Leaves are composed of epidermal tissue, palisade, and sponges. In the leaves of P. angulata, there are stomata, idioblast cells containing druss crystals, and trichomes capitata.  On the leaves of C. annuum, there are stomata, idioblast cells containing drus crystals, multiseriata trichomes, and multicellular trichomes.  The leaves of S. melongena and S. torvum contained stellate trichomes and capitata trichomes. In contrast, the leaves of S. lycopersicum contained stomata, trichome capitata, and uniseriata trichomes. The results of the study in the form of the development of student activity sheets (LKS) received validation scores from media experts with a percentage of 91.76% (very feasible) and material experts 72.22% (adequate), and the percentage of teacher response tests was 80% (interesting) and students by 82.32% (very interesting). So, it can be concluded that the student activity sheet (LKS) of the structure and function of the plant tissue of the Solanaceae family is feasible to be used as a learning resource for high school students in class XI science.Keywords: Anatomy, Solanacea, Students’ Worksheets

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini bermaksud menjawab dua pertanyaan terkait soal penilaian akhir semester biologi kelas X berdasarkan taksonomi anderson di SMA Negeri 1 Tarakan. Pertama, bagaimanakah persebaran soal penilaian akhir semester kelas X pada mata pelajaran biologi berdasarkan dimensi pengetahuan taksonomi Anderson? Kedua, bagaimanakah persebaran soal penilaian akhir semester kelas X pada mata pelajaran biologi berdasarkan dimensi proses kognitif taksonomi Anderson?. Skripsi ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan desain penelitian menggunakan pendekatan studi kasus. Subjek penelitian adalah guru dan objek penelitian berupa soal kelas X semester genap pada mata pelajaran Biologi tahun ajaran 2019/2020 yang terdiri dari 10 soal pilihan ganda, 5 soal isian singkat dan 2 soal essay. Data diperoleh berdasarkan hasil wawancara guru mata pelajaran dan analisis secara kualitatif berdasarkan sebaran dimensi Taksonomi Anderson pada soal penilaian akhir semester genap mata pelajaran Biologi kelas X tahun ajaran 2019/2020. Hasil dari penelitian ini penulis menyimpulkan bahwa: pertama, Pada dimensi pengetahuan soal masih didominasi oleh pengetahuan faktual sebanyak  64,7% dan konseptual sebanyak 35,3% dan tidak terdapat soal yang dapat mengukur pengetahuan prosedural dan metakognitif. Kedua, berdasarkan dimensi proses kognitif soal didominasi oleh soal pada level C1 yaitu 64,7%, soal pada level C2 sebanyak 23,5%, soal pada level C3 sebanyak 5,9% dan C4 sebanyak 5,9%. Tidak ditemukan soal pada level C5 dan C6 pada soal penilaian akhir semester genap kelas X di SMA Negeri 1 Tarakan. Dengan demikian dalam penyusunan soal sebaiknya memperhatikan komposisi soal berdasarkan dimensi taksonomi anderson agar peserta didik mendapatkan alat evaluasi yang lebih baik.  Kata KunciDimensi pengetahuan, dimensi proses kognitif, Taksonomi Anderson, soal penilaian akhir semester AbstractThis study aimed was to find the two questions towards final semester test items referring to Anderson Taxonomy on Biology class of tenth grade at SMA NEGERI 1 TARAKAN. First, how is the distribution of final semester test items for tenth grade on biology class referring to the dimensions of Anderson’s taxonomic knowledge?. Second, how is the distribution of final semester test items for tenth grade on biology class referring to Anderson taxonomic cognitive processes’ dimensions?. This research was a descriptive study with a case study research desain. The research subject were teachers of Biology and final semester test items for tenth grade on biology class academic year 2019/2020. The test item presented 10 multiple choice questions, 5 short answer questions, and 2 essay questions. The data was gained from the interview result and qualitative analysis of the distribution of Anderson’s Taxonomy dimensions in the final even semester test items of the tenth grade on biology class academic year 2019/2020. The result showed that academic questions’ dimensions are still dominated by factual knowledge with 64,7% and conceptual understanding as much as 35,3%, and there are no questions that can measure procedural and metacognitive knowledge. The cognitive process dimensions were dominated by test item at the C1 level, namely 64,7% item and followed by C2 level with 23,5%, while the test item on C3 and C4 level contributed each 5,9%, and C4 tess item. C5 and C6 level was not found in the final even semester test items of tenth grade at SMA Negeri 1 Tarakan. Thus, the teacher needs to pay considerable attention to the composition of the test items referring to Anderson’s taxonomic dimensions to find a satisfactory evaluation tool.  Keywords : Anderson’s Taxonomy, cognitive process dimension, final semester test items, knowledge dimension,

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analys the quality of monopoly based on Game Hago. The Hago Game-based monopoly on virus material for class X SMA is very feasible as a learning medium with the percentage of material experts being 84% (very feasible), media experts being 96% (very feasible). Game-based monopoly Hago gets a response from expert practitioners who are teachers of Biology subjects at the Hang Tuah Tarakan High School of 94% (very feasible) and student responses using Hago Game-based Monopoly learning media are 92% (very good). Keywords:  Monopoly based on Hago Game, Quality

Abstract

A teacher must be able to create conducive atmosphere of learning, innovative and creative by sticking to a student-oriented approach. This can be realized through various ways, one of them is learning by applying various suitable learning models and supporting learning media. This study aimed to improve science achievement of the VIII grade students at SMPN 3 Nunukan Selatan by applying the Numbered Head Together (NHT) learning model assisted by audio-visual media. This was a Classroom Action Research which consisted of two cycles. Each cycle consisted of two meetings followed by stages of planning, action,observation and reflection. The instruments used in this study were observation sheets of teacher activities and student activities, assessment sheets (aspects of attitude and skills), test results and student worksheets (aspects of knowledge). The results showed that the NHT assisted by audio-visual media improved science achievement of the VIII grade students at SMPN 3 Nunukan Selatan. Classically, there was an increase in the learner achievement from the first cycle to the second cycle in all three aspects measured. For the aspect of knowledge there was an increase from 50% in the first cycle to 79% in the second cycle. For the aspect of attitude there was an increase from 64% in the first cycle to 96% in the second cycle. For the aspect of skills there was an increase from 61% in the first cycle 86% in the second cycle. Thestudents’ scores reached the completeness indicator (75%). In addition, the observations result of teacher teaching activities in the first cycle was 82 (very good category) and the second cycle was 86(very good category).The observation result of student activities in the first cycle was 70% (good category) and in the second cycle was 93% (very good category).Keywords:  Numbered Head Together, Audio Visual Media, Learning Outcome

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the misconceptions experienced by students of class XII MIA SMA Ngeri 3 Tarakan. This research is a qualitative descriptive study that seeks to describe the conditions as they are of a subject descriptively. In this study, the researcher gave the test in the form of multiple-choice with open reasons accompanied by the Certainty of Response Index (CRI) column to students to provide an overview of the misconceptions experienced by students. Based on the explanation of the results of the discussion, it can be concluded that class XII MIA SMA Negeri 3 Tarakan in the 2019/2020 school year experienced misconceptions with an average percentage of 37.32%. The highest misconception was in item 19 regarding motion based on the connector place with a percentage of 60% and the lowest misconception was in item 10 regarding the nervous system function with a percentage of 22.96%.Keywords:  Misconception, CRI
