Abstract

ABSTRACTStunting is often discussed, many people think that only the health sector has a role related to stunting. Therefore, this article discusses the role of cross-sectors in accelerating the prevention of stunting as stipulated in PP No. 72 year 2021, especially the role of the government of Ogan Komering Ulu Regency and Higher Education. This method of implementing community service is through presentations by the district PIC Team, Dinas Kesehatan,  DPPKB and BAPELITBANGDA with the aim of exploring the opinions of policy holders on the issue of stunting and the contribution of each agency to prevent  stunting; equalize perceptions and also garner support from the local government and across sectors in the implementation of the stunting prevention program in OKU district. It can be concluded that efforts to prevent stunting in Ogan Komering Ulu Regency in 2022 have been carried out by the relevant OPD and at the tertiary level, namely University of Baturaja  by involving 20 students in Mahasiswa Penting Program (mahasiswa peduli stunting) which is a reflection of the activities carried out by Sriwijaya University.  Keywords: Stunting, OKU, cross-sectors, South Sumatera, higher education ABSTRAKStunting sering diperbincangkan, banyak yang menganggap hanya sektor kesehatan saja yang memiliki peran terkait stunting. Maka dari itu, artikel ini membahas peran lintas sector dalam percepatan pencegahan stunting yang tertuang pada PP no 72 tahun 2021 khususnya penran pemerintah Kabupatem Ogan Komering Ulu dan Perguruan Tinggi.  Metode pelaksanaan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini melalui pemaparan oleh narasumber yaitu Tim PIC kabupaten, Perwakilan Dinas Kesehatan DPPKB, dan BAPELITBANGDA dengan bertujuan untuk menggali pendapat para pemegang kebijakan tentang isu stunting dan kontribusi dari tiap instansi terhadap penanggulangan stunting; menyamakan persepsi dan juga menggalang dukungan dari pemerintah daerah serta lintas sektor dalam pelaksanaan program pencecahan stunting di kabupaten OKU.  Dapat disimpulkan bahwa upaya pencegahan stunting di Kabupaten Ogan Komering Ulu tahun 2022 telah dilaksanakan oleh OPD terkait dan pada tingkat perguruan tinggi yaitu Universitas Baturaja dengan melibatkan 20 mahasiswa dalam Program Mahasiswa Penting (mahasiswa peduli stunting) yang merupakan reflikasi dari kegiatan yang telah dilaksanakan oleh Universitas sriwijaya   Kata Kunci: Stunting, OKU, lintas sector, Sumatera Selatan, perguruan tinggi

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi informasi secara pesat menuntut kita untuk memiliki kemampuan dasar berkaitandengan konsep digital itu sendiri. Kemampuan mencari sumber informasi yang bisa dipertanggungjawabkanmenjadi sangat penting ditengah percepatan teknologi digital saat ini. Dalam kontek literasi digital, setiaporang memerlukan kemampuan untuk bisa mengakses, menganalis, mencipta, melakukan refleksi, danbertindak menggunakan beraneka ragam perangkat digital, berbagai bentuk ekspresi , dan strategi dalamkomunikasi. Artikel ini menyajikan gagasan awal dampak literasi digital dan tantangan dalam pembelajaranbahasa terkait dengan penerapan literasi digital. Adapun dampak positif literasi digital dalam pembelajaranbahasa yaitu 1) untuk membantu proses pembelajaran, 2) untuk dapat membedakan sumber-sumber belajaryang benar, signifikan dan dapat memberikan manfaat, dan 3) untuk membuka peluang bagi guru agar lebih produktif dalam menciptakan media ajar digital. Selain itu, dalam penerapan digital literasi dalampembelajaran bahasa yaitu guru tidak sekedar memerlukan penguasaan kemampuan mengoperasikanperangkat digital dan lunak saja tetapi juga memerlukan keterampilan kompleks seperti keterampilanmemproduksi, keterampilan photovisul, keterampilan hipertekstualitas, keterampilan mengevaluasi informasi, dan keterampilan socio-emosional.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate the implementation of peer tutoring through lesson study in developing candidate English teachers` collaborative and communicative skills. The sample of this study was 22 third-semester students who joined the speaking for professional contexts course. In order to gather the data, three steps (plan, see, and do) were applied. The first is having a discussion with the teacher and the headmaster to analyse the students` needs, the current situation of the teaching strategies, and problems or challenges in the classroom. Second, observation of three learning sessions with the implementation of peer tutoring through lesson study. It covers observation notes, reflections, and video recordings. Then, the data were analysed descriptively. The result showed that the students had made progress in developing collaborative and communicative skills, improved trusting relationships and supportive behaviours among classmates, and developed confidence in expressing themselves, representing themselves, and accepting other opinions while speaking. Abstract

The problem of this research was “is there correlation between study habits and academic achievement in English education study program at Baturaja University”?. Therefore, this study aims to describe whether or not it is there correlation between students’ habits and academic achievement of the students. This study used correlational design. The population of the research was 67 students. The questionnaire and documentation were used for collecting the data. To analyze the data , researchers used Pearson – Product Moment Correlation and descriptive statistics using the SPSS ver.25. The result showed that there is no or weak correlation between study habits and academic achievement in English Education Study Program at Baturaja University (r = 0.062, p>0.05). In conclusion, some factors that influence learning achievement were not only study habits, but also students’ learning motivation, their learning environment, facilities by educational institutions and it can affect their academic achievement.

Abstract

Abstract: The Impact of Motivation and Collaborative Learning on Academic Achievement. Objective: This article aimed at explaining the impact of motivation in learning English and the application of collaborative learning on English learning achievement. Method: A three by two factorial design was employed and the sample of this research was 48 students of English for Special Purposes (ESP) subject. The valid and reliable motivation questionnaire and English test were distributed to gather the data and were analyzed by independent simple t-test and two-way ANOVA. Result: The result presented that there was a significant interaction between motivation and the application of collaborative learning to the ESP learners‘ English achievements with the sig. 0.00. Conclusion: It can be derived that the motivation and the use of collaborative learning gave a positive impact on ESP learners‘ English achievement and there was a significant interaction between learning English motivation and the application of collaborative learning to the ESP learners‘ English achievements. Keywords: Motivation, collaborative learning, academic achievement. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpp.v11.i2.202108

Abstract

Students` motivation on the use of technology and its relationship with their receptive skills. Objective: to explain the link between English learners' motivation to use technology and their receptive (reading and listening) skills. Method: a correlation study was employed with 56 participants including freshman, sophomore, and junior students at Universitas Baturaja as selected through convenient sampling method. To gather the data, motivation questionnaire, reading test, and listening test were distributed and the instruments were valid and reliable. Result: students` motivation on the use of technology in learning significantly had a moderate correlation with their receptive skills (reading and listening). Conclusion: It can be derived that the EFL learners had high motivation for learning English by using technology and its relationship on their receptive skills was in a good category. Keywords: motivation, receptive skills, technology.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpp.v13.i3.202320
