Abstract

The background to this research is that the learning outcomes of students at SMPN 5 Tanggetada are still relatively low, which is closely related to interest in learning. This study aims to describe the learning outcomes in terms of interest in learning mathematics at SMP Negeri 5 Tanggetada. This research was conducted in the odd semester of the 2020/2021 academic year at SMPN 5 Tanggetada. This type of research is qualitative descriptive. The subjects of this study consisted of 27 grade 7 students from SMP Negeri 5 Tanggetada. The research instruments used were: (1) a mathematics learning outcomes test consisting of 5 items; (2) interviews; (3) a learning interest questionnaire consisting of 13 statements. The results obtained: 1) there is 1 student who has high learning outcomes with high interest in learning, there is 1 student who has moderate learning outcomes with high interest in learning, 1 student with low learning outcomes with a moderate interest in learning; 2) For high grade learning outcomes there are 11 students, for medium learning outcomes there are 7 students and low grade there are 9 students. 3) For the high interest category for learning there are 2 students, for the medium category there are 17 students and for the low category there are 8 students.

Abstract

The formulation of the problem in this study are: (1) How is the description of the learning independence of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 1 Loea?; (2) What is the description of the mathematical reasoning ability of eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Loea?; (3) Is there a significant effect between learning independence on the mathematical reasoning ability of eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Loea?. This research is a quantitative research with the type of Ex Post Facto research. The population in this study were all grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 1 Loea for the academic year 2020/2021 with a sampling technique that was simple random sampling where sample members from the population were taken randomly without regard to the strata in the population. So that the sample in this study amounted to 30 people. The data collection technique in this study was a learning independence questionnaire and a matter of mathematical reasoning ability. Data analysis used simple regression analysis. The results of the regression equation obtained in this study are The results of this study indicate that: (1) Descriptively from the data on the learning independence of class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Loea students are in the high category, based on the average student learning independence of 65, 51 so that it can be concluded that the learning independence of class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Loea students is in the high category; (2) Descriptively from the data on the mathematical reasoning ability of class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Loea is in the less category based on the average mathematical reasoning ability of students which is 40.33 so it can be concluded that the mathematical reasoning ability of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 1 Loea is at less category.; (3) There is a significant effect between learning independence on the mathematical reasoning ability of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 1 Loea, this can be seen from the results of the F test calculations, where the results of the F test calculations get Fcount = 12.257 while the Ftable value is 4, 20. because Fcount = 12,257 > Ftable = 4,20, it can be concluded that there is a significant influence between independent learning on the mathematical reasoning ability of eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Loea; (4) From the analysis of the coefficient of determination obtained a score of 0.307, which means that students' mathematical reasoning ability is influenced by independent learning with 31% and the remaining 69% is influenced by other factors.

Abstract

Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) penelitian true eksperimen dengan design yang bertujuan untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Komunikasi Matematis Siswa. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas X Farmasi di SMK Negeri 1 Watunohu. Penelitian ini diawali dengan kegiatan observasi kemudian memberikan tes awal dan kemudian melakukan pelaksanaan PTK dalam dua siklus tindakan. Teknik pengambilan data yang menggambarkan pelaksanaan pembelajaran dengan lembar observasi sedangkan data yang menggambarkan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa didapat melalui tes tindakan penelitian melalui instrument soal tiap siklus. Hasil penelitian ini menujukkan bahwa kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa dapat ditingkatkan melalui model pembelajaran Reciprocal Teaching. Hal ini ditunjukkan oleh hasil yang diperoleh dari tes awal bahwa tidak ada siswa yang memperoleh predikat sangat baik,namun yang dikategorikan baik sebanyak 13.33% sedangkan yang dikategorikan cukup baik sekitar 33.33%, dan yang dikategorikan kurang baik sebanyak 53.33%. Pada hasil tes siklus I meningkat, yang memperoleh nilai sangat baik sebanyak 6.67%, komunikasi matematis siswa yang dikategorikan baik sebanyak 53.33%, sedangkan dikaategorikan cukup baik sebanyak 6.67%. Pada tes siklus II mengalami meningkat, siswa memperoleh sangat baik sebanyak 13.33%, memperoleh predikat baik sebanyak 80%, sedangkan yang dikategorikan cukup baik 33.33%, dan yang dikategorikan kurang baik 6.67%. Dengan demikian indikator keberhasilan dalam penelitian tindakan kelas ini dapat tercapai dengan baik.Kata kunci—Reciprocal teaching, PTK, hasil belajar

Abstract

Penelitian membahas penerapan metode elemen batas dual-reciprocity (MEBDR) pada saluran irigasi jalur yang periodik pada tanah homogen. MEBDR merupakan salah metode numerik yang dapat menyelesaikan masalah infiltrasi stasioner pada saluran periodik pada tanah yang homogen. Beberapa penelitian sebelumnya hanya menhitung secara analisis. Oleh karena itu, MEBDR ini sangat diperlukan. Penelitian ini meruapakn penelitian studi literatur dengan menggunakan simulasi MATLAB. Dalam peneyelesaiannya dibangun dari Persamaan Richards. Persamaan Richards ini kemudian ditransformasikan menjadi Persamaan Helmholtz termodifikasi. Selanjutnya dengan DRBEM, solusi numerik dari Persamaan Helmholtz termodifikasi diperoleh. Menggunakan solusi numerik yang diperoleh, dapat dihitung nilai numerik dari suction potential dan water content. Dari beberapa saluran periodik, diperoleh saluran non-flat tanpa lapisan memiliki infiltrasi yang baik dibanding saluran flat dan non flat dengan lapisan impermeabel. Dalam hal ini saluran rectangular memiliki suction potential dan water content paling baik jika dibandingkan dengan trapezoidal dan semi circular. Karena perbedaan dari ketiga saluran tersebut tidak begitu signifikan. Jika diterapkan dalam bidang pertanian, maka akan membantu dalam meningkatkan hasil pertanian, khususnya tanaman yang menggunakan irigasi jalur.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas model pembelajaran creative problem solving (CPS) berbantuan media pembelajaran terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa Kelas IX SMP Negeri 1 Baula. Menggunakan cluster random sampling diperoleh 2 kelas sampel sebagai kelas eksperimen dengan model pembelajaran CPS berbantuan media pembelajaran dan kelas kontrol dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Desain penelitian berupa posttest yang diberikan setelah diberikan treatment atau perlakuan berupa penerapan model pembelajaran CPS dan pembelajaran konvensional. Secara deskriptif menunjukkan bahwa dari 20 orang siswa pada kelas eksperimen dengan mean 66,5, varians 84,26, dan standar deviasi 9,18, sedangkan pada kelas kontrol yang berjumlah 20 orang dengan mean 60, 95, varians 111,63, dan standar deviasi 10,66. Ditinjau dari proses dan keterlaksanaan pembelajaran, kedua kelas menunjukkan kriteria aktif dengan persentase sebesar 75% - 85%. Secara inferensial dengan menggunakan uji-t, thitung = 1,773 > ttabel = 1,685 yang mengindikasikan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara hasil belajar matematika dengan model pembelajaran CPS dan pembelajaran konvensional. Sehingga disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran CPS berbantuan media pembelajaran efektif terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas IX SMP Negeri 1 Baula.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dirancang untuk membahas informasi dan analisis tentang gaya belajar mahasiswa angkatan 2016 Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Sembilanbelas November Kolaka agar dapat menjadi pertimbangan awal bagi setiap pengajar dalam mengembangkan perkuliahan. Sedangkan variabel yang akan dilepaskan adalah gaya belajar mahasiswa (modalitas), yang terbagi menjadi dua aspek yaitu unimodal (V, A, R, K) dan multimodal, termasuk bimodal (VR, VA, VK, RK), trimodal (VRK, VAK, VAR, ARK), dan quadmodal (VARK). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa preferensi modalitas mahasiswa tergolong pada gaya belajar multimodal jenis quadmodal.Kata Kunci : Modalitas Belajar, VARK, Unimodal, Multimodal, Gaya BelajarĀ

Abstract

Kemampuan komunikasi matematis merupakan salah satu indikator untuk mengetahui hail belajar matematika siswa. Jika kemampuan komunikasi matematis baik, maka besar kemungkinan hasil belajar matematika pun baik. Namun berdasarkan hasil observasi di SMA Negeri 1 Mawasangka tengah, bahwa kemampuan komunikasi siswanya belum optimal. Salah satu faktor penyebabnya adalah gaya belajar siswa. Beberapa penelitian tentang kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa belum ada yang meninjau dari sudut pandang gaya belajar. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan profil kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa berdasarkan gaya belajar (visual, auditroy, read/write, kinestetic). Indikator gaya belajar dalam penelitian ini adalah indikator yang dikembangkan oleh Fleaming yang meliputi gaya belajar unimodal (V,A,R,K), bimodal (VK, RK, VA, VR), trimodal (ARK, VRK, VAK, VAK), dan quadmodal (VARK). Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif, dengan subjek penelitian sebanyak 52 orang siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Mawasangka Tengah. Data hasil penelitian diperoleh dengan memberikan soal tes kemampuan komunikasi matematis dan kuisioner gaya belajar, selanjutnya dianalisis dengan teknik reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa ditinjau dari gaya belajar, termasuk dalam kategori sedang, baik pada unimodal, bimodal, trimodal, maupun quadmodal.Kata kunci: komunikasi matematis, gaya belajar, unimodal, bimodal, trimodal, quadmodal.

Abstract

This study aims to compare student perceptions of online, offline, and blended learning involving 28 students from the 2018 batch of Mathematics Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Sembilanbelas November Kolaka University as research subjects. The data were collected by non-test using a questionnaire instrument of student perceptions including online, offline, and blended learning as many as 23 statement items followed by interviews related to student perceptions. The results of this study indicate that the mean student perception of learning is positive with the following details: (1) the mean percentage of student perceptions of online learning is 77.92%; (2) the mean percentage of students' perceptions of offline learning (face-to-face) is 82.86%; and (3) the mean percentage of students' perceptions of blended learning is 73.98%.

Abstract

This research aims to improve students' mathematics learning outcomes by using a learning model based on Information and Communicaton Technologies (ICT). This research is a Classroom action research qualitative research. This research method consists of: (1) planning (planning); (2) the implementation of the action (action); (3) observation and evaluation (observation and evaluation); (4) reflection (reflection). This research uses descriptive statistical data analysis involving 20 students, including 7 boys and 13 girls and using instruments in the form of student worksheets and interview guidelines for teachers and students. Based on the results of initial observations, it shows that the low learning outcomes obtained by students. This is because teachers have less ability to vary learning models/strategies, where teachers only explain the material to students and then ask questions, but only a few students have an active understanding of concepts/knowledge in learning. Based on the daily test results, before the first cycle of action, only 40% of students with an average score of 60.1 scored 70 from the KKM (Minimum Graduation Criteria), which was 75%. In the first cycle, there was an increase from the initial test which was 40% to 55% of students with an average score of 65.98 who obtained a score of 70, while in the second cycle the test also increased to 85% with an average score of 80.56 who obtained a score 70. The final result of this research is that it can improve Mathematics Learning Outcomes by Applying the ICT-based Creative Problem Solving (CPS) Learning Model.

Abstract

Restrictions on learning activities during the COVID-19 pandemic have forced students to study from home. However, it does not mean that the quality of student learning outcomes will decrease. To maintain and even improve students' mathematical abilities and understanding post COVID-19 pandemic, constructivism learning was applied to mathematics learning at home in Puundoho village, North Pakue District, North Kolaka Regency, Southeast Sulawesi. Constructivism learning helps students in building mathematical concepts using their own abilities through an internalization process using prior knowledge. Activities are carried out in three stages, namely planning, implementation and reporting of activities. The form of activity is the application of constructivism learning in mathematics learning at home which aims to maintain the quality of student learning outcomes, as well as improve students' abilities and understanding after the COVID-19 pandemic. The results obtained are the level of students' ability and understanding of mathematics which is indicated by the ease with which they can answer correctly each given question.
