Abstract

Stress is very common among medical students especially during the Covid-19 pandemic, this may reduce academic performance and cause harm to the patient's care in the future. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between stress and academic performance. This type of research is non-experimental analytic observational with a cross-sectional approach. The sample of this research was 146 students of Krida Wacana Christian University Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FKIK Ukrida) class 2017-2019. The sampling technique is probability sampling with a stratified random sampling type. The instrument used in this study was perceived stress scale-10 (PSS-10) questionnaire. The data analysis was carried out using spearman rank test. The results showed that the value of p = 0.001 (<0.005) with a correlation value of 0.260, which means that there is a relationship between stress and academic performance of FKIK Ukrida students class 2017-2019 during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

Noise is a sound whose presence is unwanted that it has an impact on health problems, an uncomfortable environment and can cause deafness. The impact of noise on health can occur in workplace and cause disturbances that are classified in stages. Several studies have found that sudden exposure to sound causes physiological reactions such as pulse, blood pressure, metabolism, sleep disturbances and constriction of blood vessels. The search for research journal articles was obtained from publication media, filtered from inclusion and exclusion criteria and obtained 10 journals to be reviewed. The results of this study are that in all the articles reviewed by the author there is a relationship between long-term noise exposure and human blood glucose levels. Noise exposure led to increased phosphorylation of jnk (c-Jun N-terminal kinase) as well as decreased phosphorylation in skeletal muscle in response to exogenous insulin stimulation, and another result was that plasma levels of TNF-α and IL-6 in skeletal muscle increased after long-term noise exposure. Noise exposure also causes dysregulation of the activity of the hypothalamo-pituitary adrenal axis with high corticosterone, which appears to blunt insulin action in peripheral tissues, consequently limiting glucose uptake and glycogen deposition in the liver and gastrocnemius muscle.

Abstract

In maintaining the harmony of physical and mental functions, every human being needs to fulfill basic needs that include physiological aspects, among these needs, adequate quality of sleep at night is one of the important factors. In carrying out work, work productivity is very important to support work. One of the jobs that has sleep quality with various work productivity is Security, Security is part of the security unit, carrying out their duties at unusual times, often from night to morning, different from most other workers. Purpose. This study was conducted to determine the effect of workers' sleep quality on work productivity at Ukrida security guards in 2025 Method. This study uses an analytical research design with a cross-sectional approach to determine the effect of sleep quality on work productivity at Ukrida security guards in 2025 with the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) questionnaire and the Individual Work Performance Questionnaire (IWPQ) according to a total sample of 113 samples. Conclusion. A significant relationship was found between sleep quality and work productivity (p=0.000) Keywords: Sleep quality, work productivity, security unit
