Abstract

Econometrics is an essential science in Development Economics because it can improve students' ability to process data and analyze economics. Monotonous lecture activities and student difficulties in lectures are associated with theories taught in real situations. One way to improve student's practical abilities is through innovative learning models. Learning innovations make students learn to be active in expressing discussions about current economic issues supported by analytical skills in the field, which will increase student enthusiasm. Through Project-based Learning (PjBL), students have to follow the learning process actively. Lecturers will be the leader to the process in order to giving the feedback and assess the learning process. This model enhances students' ability to solve problems directly and then solve them by engaging project work directly and enabling them to act and think creatively, improve collaborative skills, and increase enthusiasm. Using a quasi-experimental, the study involving a sample of 59 people taken by a simple random sampling technique. The data collected were analyzed using a one-time ANOVA test. The application of this model is carried out online and packaged by applying various combinations of technologies. Empirical evidence shows simultaneously significant differences in learning outcomes and problem-solving abilities in undergraduate students using the PjBL method compared to conventional methods. This study concludes that the PjBL model effectively improves the ability to think actively and solve problems for students in the Econometrics course. The implementation results of this study can be the innovative technology-based learning methods that are attractive to undergraduate students in subjects that require high critical thinking skills.

Abstract

This research investigates the influence of affiliate marketing and flash sale programs on buying interest within the Shopee Marketplace, focusing on the perspectives of Islamic Economic law among consumers at Malang City in 2024. The study employs a case study approach to examine the impact of these marketing strategies on consumer behavior and ethical considerations. Through qualitative analysis, data is gathered from Shopee users in Malang City to explore their attitudes, perceptions, and buying patterns in response to affiliate marketing and flash sale promotions. The research delves into the ethical dimensions of these marketing practices within the framework of Islamic economic principles, examining their compatibility with notions of fairness, transparency, and social responsibility in buying and selling transactions. The findings shed light on the complexities of consumer decision-making in the digital marketplace, highlighting the interplay between marketing tactics and ethical considerations rooted in Islamic economic teachings. By synthesizing insights from Islamic economic law and consumer behavior research, this study contributes to a deeper understanding of the ethical implications of modern marketing strategies in e-commerce platforms like Shopee. The research results show a significant positive influence between affiliate marketing and the flash sale program on respondents' shopping behaviour and buying interest at Shopee. Furthermore, the research provides practical implications for marketers, policymakers, and stakeholders in balancing commercial objectives with ethical standards in online retail environments.

Abstract

Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk membantu mitra UMKM meningkatkan produksinya pada masa pandemic Covid-19. Guna mewujudkan hal tersebut dilakukan identifikasi dan analisis masalah-masalah yang terjadi pada UMKM. Hasil identifikasi menunjukkan penggunaan alat yang masih sederhana sehingga menghambat produksi. Hasil tersebut dijadikan bahan untuk perumusan rencana penyelesaian masalah yaitu dengan memberikan bantuan mesin kepada UMKM. Bantuan Mesin yang diberikan diharapkan dapat membantu UMKM memaksimalkan produksinya dan melakukan diversifikasi produk. Diversifikasi produk dengan memproduksi gula semut harapannya dapat memperluas pangsa pasar, meningkatkan produksi dan memperbesar daya saing UMKM. Selain itu, perluasan pangsa pasar juga diharapkan dapat membantu meningkatkan pendapatan para pelaku usaha gula semut. Lebih lanjut, kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat membantu para pelaku UMKM Gula Semut untuk mengatasi permasalahan perekonomian yang terjadi terutama akibat adanya pandemic Covid-19.Keywords: UMKM, Diversifikasi Produk, Covid-19, Gula Semut.

Abstract

Sukun Berdaya memiliki bank sampah Sukun Berseri yang mengelola sampah organik rumah tangga menjadi pupuk kompos. Namun, terdapat kendala-kendala yang memerlukan solusi penyelesaiannya, yaitu (1) minimnya pengetahuan pengurus terhadap proses pengolahan sampah rumah tangga menjadi pupuk organik, (2) ketiadaan alat pencacah, (3) penggunaan tong untuk composter yang menimbulkan bau tidak sedap, (4) kualitas pupuk yang belum memenuhi standar, (5) kemasan pupuk yang belum sesuai standar, dan (6) belum adanya distributional-chain untuk memasarkan hasil produksi pupuk. Metode pengabdian yang digunakan untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut yaitu pelatihan dan pendampingan, serta pemberian alat-alat pendukung. Hasil dari program pengabdian ini adalah peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan masyarakat dalam memproduksi pupuk kompos sesuai dengan standar. Selain itu, pemberian alat pencacah dapat meningkatkan efisiensi proses pencacahan sampah menjadi partikel yang lebih kecil. Composter bag juga dapat mencegah terjadinya pencemaran udara akibat proses composting. Pemberian kemasan dan label dapat menjamin kualitas pupuk kompos hingga sampai ke tangan pelanggan serta lebih menarik konsumen. Terakhir, pelatihan pemasaran online dan offline dapat menciptakan distributional-chain sekaligus memperluas pasar. Program selanjutnya dapat membantu dalam uji kualitas dan standar pupuk yang dihasilkan serta menjalin program kemitraan. Kata kunci— Pengabdian Masyarakat, Bank Sampah, Pupuk Kompos, Ekonomi Sirkuler Abstract Sukun Berdaya Village has a Sukun Berseri waste bank that manages household organic waste into compost. However, there are obstacles that require solutions, namely (1) the lack of knowledge of the management on the process of processing household waste into organic fertilizer, (2) the absence of shredders, (3) the use of barrels for composter that causes unpleasant odors, (4) the quality of fertilizers that have not met the standards, (5) fertilizer packaging that is not up to standard, (6) there is no distributional-chain to market fertilizer production. The dedication methods used to overcome these problems are training and mentoring, as well as the provision of supporting tools. The result of this service program is an increase in community knowledge and skills in producing compost in accordance with standards. In addition, the provision of a shredding device can increase the efficiency of the process of shredding waste into smaller particles. Composter bags can also prevent air pollution due to the composter process. Packaging and labeling can ensure the quality of compost until it reaches customers and attracts consumers more. Finally, online and offline marketing training can create a distributional-chain while expanding the market. The further program can assist in testing the quality and standards of fertilizers produced and establishing a partnership program. Keywords— Community Service, Waste Bank, Compost, Circular Economy

Abstract

Kampoeng Kayoetangan Heritage merupakan salah satu kampung tematik yang berada di Kota Malang. Keberadaan kampung heritage Kayoetangan ini menjadi salah satu kampung yang menonjolkan khas klasik dan budayanya. Penurunan pengunjung menjadi salah satu permasalahan yang ada di kampung heritage Kayoetangan karena terjadinya ketimpangan fasilitas antara koridor masuk dengan di dalam kampung heritage. Kemudian, di era digital ini tidak adanya konten di akun media sosial resmi Kelompok Kayoetangan Heritage yang bisa meningkatkan engagement user serta informasi yang komunikatif terhadap calon wisatawan potensif. Metode kegiatan dalam pengabdian ini adalah dengan metode pelaksanaan. Hasil pengabdian memberikan solusi yaitu mengoptimalisasi sudut ruang dengan artwork yang juga menonjolkan khas budayanya serta pembuatan konten sosial media yang berasal dari media sosial resmi kampung heritage yang menarik wisatawan potensif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat peningkatan pada wisatawan yang masuk pada Kampoeng Kayoetangan Heritage karena adanya artwork yang menarik dan informasi yang didapatkan dari feeds instagram yang komunikatif dan menonjolkan kesan informatif. Kata kunci— Kampung Tematik, Kayutangan, Media Sosial, Artwork Abstract Kampoeng Kayoetangan Heritage is one of the thematic villages located in Malang City. This heritage village stands out with its classic charm and rich cultural heritage. A significant issue faced by Kampoeng Kayoetangan Heritage is the declining number of visitors, attributed to the unequal distribution of facilities between the entrance corridor and the interior of the heritage village. Furthermore, in this digital era, the absence of content on the official social media accounts of the Kayoetangan Heritage Group to boost user engagement and provide informative information to potential tourists is another challenge. The method used in this community service activity is an implementation-based approach. The outcome of the service provides a solution, which involves optimizing the space with artwork that highlights the cultural uniqueness and creating social media content derived from the official social media accounts of the heritage village. Research results reveal an increase in the number of tourists visiting Kampoeng Kayoetangan Heritage due to the captivating artwork and the informative and engaging content shared on Instagram feeds. In summary, this community service initiative has succeeded in enhancing stakeholder understanding and the management of Kampoeng Kayoetangan Heritage. Nevertheless, challenges such as area expansion, limited funding, and balanced expansion still require further solutions. Keywords— Thematic Village, Kayutangan, Social Media, Artwork

Abstract

This study aims to critically analyze the determinants of fintech adoption among micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in Indonesia, utilizing the robust Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) method. Financial Technology (fintech) represents a disruptive innovation that is transforming traditional banking and financial services by integrating digital financial products and services, including payment transactions and security systems such as e-payments, peer-to-peer lending, remittances, crowdfunding, and retail investment. The research focuses on four key variables: the Decision to Use Fintech (DUF) as the dependent variable, and three independent variables —Perceived Ease of Use of the Fintech Platform (POE), Perceived Risk (POR), and Benefits Offered/Sales Promotion (BP). Data was collected via surveys from owners and managers of MSMEs in Malang City, East Java, Indonesia. The findings reveal that the ease of use and time-saving features of fintech significantly influence adoption decisions among MSMEs, underscoring its positive impact on business operations and economic efficiency. Conversely, perceived risks and promotional benefits were found to have no significant effect on the decision to adopt fintech platforms.

Abstract

Research on waqf sustainability is increasing in popularity, showing exponential growth in publication and citation numbers. The realm of research has grown intricate and fragmented, thereby posing a growing challenge to the regulation of waqf sustainability. The main purpose of this study is to organise and integrate the preliminary studies on the theme of waqf sustainability. To this end, this study involved bibliometric analysis, distinguishing it from previous analyses, which were outdated and/or different focus. We collected 84 articles extracted from Scopus and Web of Science (WoS) databases, covering 20 years from 2001 to 2022. The findings showed that the most prolific authors were from Malaysia. There are five research themes regarding waqf sustainability, including the accountability of Islamic social finance as a third-sector economy, the sustainability of Islamic microfinance, the role of intellectual capital in waqf institutions, the effectiveness of management, and the performance measurement of waqf institutions. This study shows that the performance of waqf institutions for waqf sustainability is scant. Hence, there is an important research gap that can be addressed in future research since sustainability is a priority agenda as outlined in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) blueprint.

Abstract

This study analyzes the role of financial technology (fintech) strategies in addressing financial inequality and improving access to financial services in Indonesia. Fintech, through innovations like e-wallets, technology-driven lending, and micro-investments, plays a crucial role in promoting financial inclusion, especially for communities underserved by traditional banking systems. By leveraging digital platforms, fintech can offer affordable and accessible financial services to a broader segment of the population, particularly in rural or remote areas where conventional financial institutions have limited reach. The research employs a qualitative approach using a literature review of reports and publications from reputable sources, such as Bank Indonesia, the Financial Services Authority (OJK), and global fintech industry analyses from the past decade. The findings emphasize three key pillars for effectively reducing financial gaps: fostering collaboration between traditional financial institutions and fintech companies, enhancing financial and digital literacy, and strengthening regulatory frameworks and digital infrastructure. Through these strategies, fintech has the potential to drive economic growth, reduce poverty, and promote social welfare. The study concludes that fintech can be a catalyst for creating an inclusive, equitable, and sustainable financial system, thus contributing to Indonesia’s overall development and social well-being. These strategies align with broader efforts to build a more resilient and inclusive economy.

Abstract

Transformasi digital dan transisi hijau semakin menjadi fokus pembangunan ekonomi nasional tetapi penyebaran manfaatnya belum merata di seluruh wilayah Indonesia. Dengan mempertimbangkan adanya perbedaan kapasitas antarprovinsi, penelitian ini menganalisis perkembangan sektor ekonomi unggulan yang berkaitan dengan digitalisasi dan ekonomi hijau di delapan provinsi terpilih. Menggunakan data Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS), studi ini menerapkan analisis Location Quotient (LQ) serta Shift Share (SS) dalam menentukan sektor basis, mengukur kontribusi peningkatan ekonomi regional, serta menelusuri potensi efek spillover antarwilayah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa beberapa provinsi inti masih mendominasi sektor-sektor strategis sehingga menghasilkan penyebaran manfaat yang terbatas. Dari hasil studi literatur, penelitian ini menggunakan delapan provinsi sebagai objek utama penelitian yang dilakukan. Provinsi yang dipilih pada penelitian ini yaitu Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Barat, Kalimantan Barat, Sumatera Selatan, Jawa Barat, Bali, Papua Barat, Jakarta, dan Sulawesi Selatan. Provinsi DKI Jakarta merepresentasikan provinsi DKI Jakarta dengan tiga kawasan penunjang yang meliputi Provinsi Jawa Barat, Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Barat, dan Provinsi Sumatera Selatan. Di sisi lain, Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan merepresentasikan Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan dan tiga daerah pendukung yakni Provinsi Kalimantan Barat, Bali, dan Papua Barat. Temuan ini menunjukan pentingnya penguatan konektivitas ekonomi dan pemerataan pusat pertumbuhan dalam rangka memaksimalkan dampak transformasi digital dan transisi hijau di Indonesia.
