Abstract

During the COVID-19 pandemic, SMEs located in tourism destinations in the form of small islands in Indonesia experienced many problems, including: decreased sales turnover due to reduced number of tourists coming to visit the island, difficulty in raw materials, rising raw material prices and SMEs not understanding how to do digital marketing effectively. Digital skills for SMEs are very important in building a competitive advantage and expanding the market not only in their area. Therefore, a community empower program was initiated to help the SMEs survive through covid19 pandemic, by increasing their capacity on Digital Marketing. The objectives of this program are:(1) to develop community empowerment through Digital Marketing program (2) to increase   community skills in digital marketing. Eight months of educational activities were conducted on 20 SMEs from April 2021 to November 2021 at the Unesco Global Geopark Belitong. Using the parcipatory training method, SMEs were able to understand how to conduct digital marketing. The result of this program, is SMEs start to develop their own digital marketing program, with the help from university students. For future program SMEs express their hope that coaching and upskilling in digital marketing will continue in order to help them increase their market.

Abstract

In this research, we use ESG Scores to examine how environmental, social, and governance (ESG) variables have affected the stock prices of companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Using a quantitative approach that integrates descriptive and verification approaches, this research provides a thorough and trustworthy depiction of the connections between these variables. Companies for the sample were chosen using a purposive selection method. A Moderation Regression Analysis Test was used in this investigation. The study's findings demonstrate that ESG factors influence stock prices, which means the higher ESG score, the higher the share price. Following that, the impact of ESG on stock prices is mitigated by firm size which means that company size can affect the relationship between ESG and stock price. Companies should take environmental, social, and governance factors into account if they want to win over investors, according to this research. Companies that are good at making the most of their assets are main option for investors. The limitations of this study are the use of limited samples and variables also only focus on three main variables even though there are various other components that have the potential to affect stock prices. Suggestions for further research are to increase the study sample and add other variables that can affect stock prices. In addition, researchers can also increase the research period and use different subjects, so as to produce research findings that are new and more accurate.

Abstract

This study explores the perceptions and financial behaviors of final-year Accounting and Management students at Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) toward cryptocurrency. Using a qualitative approach, data were collected through semi-structured interviews with eight students. Findings reveal that while participants are aware of cryptocurrency, their understanding is often shaped by informal sources such as social media and peers, rather than academic instruction. Key themes include curiosity, emotional decision-making, peer influence, and skepticism due to volatility and lack of trust. The study highlights a significant educational gap in university curricula regarding digital finance, suggesting a need for more structured financial literacy programs. Thematic analysis further underscores the influence of behavioral finance concepts such as FOMO, loss aversion, and social proof in shaping student engagement with crypto assets.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of profitability and liquidity on firm value with capital structure as a moderating variable in companies in the apparel and luxury goods subsector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2018–2022 period. The research methods used are descriptive and verification quantitative methods. Descriptive methods are used to describe firm value, profitability, liquidity, and capital structure. In contrast, verification methods are used to test the effect of independent variables on the dependent variable and the moderating role of capital structure. Data collection is done using secondary data from the company's published financial statements. The results showed that profitability and liquidity positively and significantly influence firm value. High profitability indicates good economic performance and provides a positive signal to investors. In contrast, high liquidity suggests the company's ability to meet short-term obligations and reduce the risk of bankruptcy. In addition, capital structure is found to function as a moderating variable that can strengthen or weaken the effect of profitability and liquidity on firm value. A balanced capital structure between debt and equity can maximize the benefits of profitability and liquidity, while an unbalanced capital structure can reduce these positive effects. This study implies that company management in the apparel and luxury goods subsector needs to optimize profitability and liquidity and manage the capital structure wisely to increase firm value. The findings also support signal, pecking order, and trade-off theories, which emphasize the importance of effective financial management and optimal capital structure. This study contributes to the financial management and corporate strategy literature and offers practical insights for corporate managers and investors in economic decision-making.
