<![CDATA[Cinnamon (Cinnamomum Burmanii) is one of the herbs that contains an activesubstance polyphenol that works by increasing insulin receptors in cells. This study uses 10 grams of cinnamon boiled with 100 ml of water. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of cinnamon decoction on fasting blood sugar levels in type 2 diabetes mellitus patients with a research design Quasy Experiment. The study sample was 34 respondents taken by purposive sampling technique which was divided into 2 groups: 17 experimental group respondents who were given cinnamon stew twice a day for 3 consecutive days and 17 control group respondents who were not given cinnamon stew. Both groups continued to take the medication given by the doctor. The measuring instrument used was the observation sheet and glucometer by measuring blood sugar pre test on the first day andblood sugar post test for 3 consecutive days after consuming cinnamon stew. The analysis used is univariate analysis to describe the characteristics of each respondent and bivariate analysis using the Dependent Sample t Test in the experimental group and the test Wilcoxon in the control group. Homogeneity test results showed no differences in the characteristics of subjects from the two groups. There were significant differences in the mean blood sugar levels of the pre test and post test in the experimental group with p value 0.034, whereas in the control group no differences were found with p value 0.463. The conclusion is the effect of cinnamon stew on decreasing fasting blood sugar levels of type 2 diabetes mellitus patients in the working area of Harapan Raya Pekanbaru Health Center.Keywords: cinnamon (cinnamomum burmanii), diabetes mellitus, fasting blood sugar.]]>

<![CDATA[Renal insufficiency due to diabetes disease has subsequently been known by the name of Diabetic Kidney Disease (DKD) or Diabetic Nephropathy (ND) is a complication of diabetes that is included in microvascular complications, the complications that occur in small blood vessels (small). The purpose of this research was to determined the level of knowledge about DM dietery with complication of kidney failure. Samples of this research taken by using purposive sampling technique. This study used a” descriptive – correlation” research design with cross sectional study " . Total sample of 74 people with using purposive sampling technique sampling by taking into account the inclusion criteria Measuring instrument to look at the diet by using kuesioner knowledge and to see the complications of chronic renal failure was using secondary data . The analysis used univariate and bivariate analysis with the chi-square test . The results showed a high knowledge of the results of as many as 42 ( 56.8 % ) and low knowledge of as many as 32 (43.2 %), while the average stage of CRF in stage IV were 12 respondents ( 16.2 % ) and stage V as 62 respondents ( 83.8 % ). The results of this study with p value = 0,843, There is no relationship between the level of knowledge about the diet of patients with DM with complications of chronic renal failure. The results of this study are expected to be one of the nursing interventions to improve diabetes patients knowledge about the diet of diabetic nephropathy in order not to aggravate the situation. <![CDATA[The purpose of this research to determine the relationship of blood sugar level with the occurrence of gangrene in DMpatients. The type of this research was quantitative research with cross sectional approach. Sampling technique was totalsampling counted 30 respondents. The analysis used univariate and bivariate analyzes. The result of the research showed thatmore DM patients aged elderly (46-55 years) as many as 14 people (46,7%), elementary education that is 14 people (46,7%),female gender were 19 people (63,3% ). DM patients with uncontrolled blood sugar were 20 (66.7%). DM patients who didnot experience gangrene as many as 18 people (60%). Chi-square test results have relationship between blood sugarrelationship with gangrene incidence in DM patients (OR = 11,000, P value 0.024). <![CDATA[The elderly are among those who are vulnerable to Covid-19 transmission due to low immunity and chronic diseases experienced by the elderly. Family support is needed so that the quality of life and health of the elderly are maintained optimally. This study aims to determine the relationship between family support and the quality of life of the elderly during the Covid-19 period. This research is a quantitative study with a descriptive correlation design and a cross sectional approach. The sampling technique was purposive sampling with 125 respondents. The measuring instrument used was the WHOQOL-BREF family support and quality of life questionnaire. The results of this study indicate that family support is in a good category (70.4%) and the quality of life of the elderly is in a good category (89%). The results of statistical tests using fisher's test obtained p value <α (0.05), so it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between family support and the quality of life of the elderly during the Covid-19 period. The Odd Ratio value of 41,760 shows that elderly people with good family support have a 41,760 times better quality of life. Recommendations for future research address quality of life factors in more domains (eg, physical, psychosocial, social and environmental domains) and include elderly living with a partner / alone into inclusion.]]>

<![CDATA[Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a metabolic disease characterized by high blood sugar levels. Type 2 DM is the most common.The reason is due to an unhealthy lifestyle, several attempts to reduce trigger factors such as regulating diet, weight control, exercising, monitoring blood sugar, directed diet, healthy and balanced nutrition. In addition, family support also affects the quality of life of DM patients. The purpose of this study was to describe the pattern of life (diet, physical activity) and family support in patients with type 2 diabetes. This research method used descriptive analytic with cross sectional design. Thesample of this study was 131 patients who were taken based on the inclusion criteria using purposive sampling. Results: Most patients were aged 56-65 years (36.6%) and mostly suffered by men (52.7%), respondents who experienced complications (91.6%) and most suffered by men (99, 9%) while the type of complication is numbness (peripheral nephropathy) (69.5%). The patient's lifestyle showed a good lifestyle (81.7) and family support showed good family support (98.5). Conclusion: A good lifestyle can also be influenced by good family support so that it makes sufferers more enthusiastic to apply healthy patterns in daily life.]]>

<![CDATA[Persepsi setiap individu berbeda-beda. Persepsi dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor. Faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi persepsi terbagi menjadi dua, yaitu faktor internal dan faktor eksternal. Menyamakan persepsi setiap individu merupakan hal yang sangat penting. Perawat sebagai garda terdepan pemberi pelayanan kesehatan di rumah sakit maupun puskesmas dituntut sanggup berperan sebagai educator. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan faktor-faktor yang terkait dengan persepsi pasien terhadap peran perawat sebagai educator di puskesmas. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain deskriptif korelasi dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Sampel penelitian adalah 97 responden dengan teknik pengambilan sampel accidental sampling. Penelitian ini mengunakan kuesioner yang sebelumnya telah dilakukan uji validitas dan reliabilitas. Tidak ada hubungan yang signifikan antara informasi (p-value = 0,333), pengalaman (p-value = 1,000) dan pelayanan (p-value = 0,061) terhadap peran perawat sebagai educator di puskesmas (p-value > ? = 0,05). Faktor informasi, pengalaman, dan pelayanan pasien tidak berhubungan terhadap peran perawat sebagai educator di puskesmas.]]>

<![CDATA[Laboratory skill via online is a competency or students to learn medical skills that are conducted in a training environment then conduct performance (working score) based on the student’s capabilities in using Pedagogy (a teaching method). This research used a Descriptive Quantitative research. These research samples were 169 respondents taken by Stratified Random Sampling. The research used a questionnaire to identified student’s perception on learning lab skills via online. This research used Univariate Analysis. This research gives illustrations of learning lab skills via online. Female students have more positive perception on learning lab skills via online compares with male students. <![CDATA[Perception is a process that arises due to sensation, where sensation is the activity of feeling or the cause of the emotional state. The perception of each individual is different, the perception is influenced by several factors, the factors that influence the perception are divided into two, namely internal factors and external factors. Nurses as the vanguard of health care providers in hospitals and health centers are required to be able to to act as the educators. This study aims to determine the relationship of factor information related to the perception of patients to the role of nurses as educators in the puskesmas. This study used a descriptive design correlation with the cross sectional approach. The research sample was 97 respondents with accidental sampling techniques. This study uses questionnaires that have previously been conducted tests of validity and reliability. There was no significant relationship between information (pvalue = 0, 333) . <![CDATA[Diabetes mellitus is referred to as a non-communicable disease which is the most common non-communicable disease suffered by the community at this time. This disease is characterized by high levels of glucose in the blood whose values exceed normal values. Among the herbal plants that can be used as traditional medicine for the treatment of diabetes mellitus, namely Binahong. The study was conducted in the working area of the Pekanbaru Rejosari Health Center starting from February 2021 to August 2021. This research is a quantitative study that uses descriptive methods with descriptive correlations. The sampling technique in this study was purposive sampling with a total sample of 15 respondents. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between binahong leaf stew on blood sugar levels in type 2 diabetics. The data analysis used in this study was the Pearson Correlation test. The results showed that there was a relationship between giving binahong leaf stew on decreasing blood sugar levels with p value (0.000) < alpha (0.05). There is a relationship between steeping binahong leaf stew on decreasing blood sugar levels of people with diabetes mellitus in the working area of Rejosari Health Center Pekanbaru.Keywords: Binahong leaves; Blood sugar; Diabetes melitus.]]>

<![CDATA[Diabetes melitus (DM) adalah salah satu penyakit kronis yang terjadi ketika tubuh tidak memperoleh penggunaan insulin secara layak atau pankreas tidak memproduksi cukup insulin. Tingginya kadar gula darah akan menjadi hal yang harus diperhatikan bagi penderita DM bila tidak dilakukan pencegahan dan pengobatan. Salah satu tumbuhan herbal yang bisa dimanfaatkan menjadi obat tradisional bagi pengobatan DM, yaitu binahong. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh rebusan daun binahong terhadap kadar gula darah penderita DM tipe 2. Jenis penelitian ini adalah quasi eksperiment dengan rancangan one group pretest posttest. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Puskesmas Rejosari. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 15 orang dengan teknik purposive sampling yang diberikan rebusan daun binahong selama 4 hari berturut-turut dan dilakukan pemeriksaan gula darah sebelum mengkonsumsi rebusan (pretest) dan 2 jam setelah mengkonsumsi rebusan (posttest). Analisis data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah uji T dependent. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh pemberian rebusan daun binahong terhadap kadar gula darah dengan p-value (0,000) < alpha (0,05). Ada pengaruh seduhan rebusan daun binahong terhadap kadar gula darah penderita DM di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Rejosari Pekanbaru. Penelitian pemberian rebusan daun binahong kepada penderita DM sangat efektif dilakukan karena daun binahong mengandung senyawa yang dapat menurunkan kadar gula darah seperti saponin, flavonoid, dan alkaloid sehingga kadar gula darah penderita DM dapat turun dengan mengkonsumsi salah satu obat herbal ini.]]>
