Abstract

This study aims to determine the implementation of differentiated learning at SMK Negeri 3 Jepara. This type of research is qualitative research. Interview, survey and documentation methods were chosen as data collection techniques. The results of data collection were analyzed using data triangulation. In carrying out the research at SMK Negeri 3 Jepara, 42 teachers were involved as respondents who were selected randomly. From the survey results, information was obtained that 80.96% of teachers had heard of differentiated learning. 71.42% of teachers have understood the concept of differentiated learning, 60% better understand the application of differentiated learning strategies, but only 33.33% of teachers carry out differentiated learning. 52.38% of teachers consider differentiated learning to support student characteristics, but the teacher's workload increases. 71.43% still think that the application of differentiated learning requires more time in learning activities. Another fact based on interviews found that there were still a few teachers who carried out differentiated learning because they found many obstacles in its implementation, including difficulties in making the tools, especially student worksheets (LKPD).

Abstract

This article aims to analyze the influence of gender diversity on vocational high school students' sustainability awareness. In this era of globalization and rapid development, it is important for students to have a high awareness of sustainable issues, including in the context of gender. This research involved a sample of Vocational High School students from various gender backgrounds, with the aim of understanding whether gender diversity contributes to increasing students' sustainable awareness.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the potential for ESD (Education for Suistanable Development)-oriented learning in grade 7 science teachers at MTs Banjarnegara District. The research method uses descriptive qualitative. The population in this study were 20 class VII teachers at MTs in Banjarnegara Regency. The instrument used in this study was a questionnaire distributed online to MTs science teachers based on ESD-oriented Teacher Potential indicators to obtain data and interview techniques. From the survey results, it was obtained information on teachers' knowledge about ESD, 65% did not know ESD, 70% did not know concepts and ESD in science learning. From other facts from the interviews it turned out that teachers did not know ESD in learning. From the results of the learning potential questionnaire, teachers' insights about ESD obtained 35% new to Education For Sustainable Development (ESD), 55% did not know the meaning of ESD and 60% had just heard of ESD. Some teachers in learning already know and find ESD-oriented material.

Abstract

Study This aim For know profile literacy Demak State Madrasah Aliyah students . Study This is type study descriptive qualitative . Deep sample study This is student Class XI MIPA Madrasah Aliyah Negeri Demak has 71 students . Data collection techniques use non - tests given to subject study about learning lifetime life ( lifelong learning ) includes five indicators namely : thinking complex , processing information , communication effectiveness , collaboration , and habits of mind . Research data analyzed in a way descriptive based on criteria score achievement each indicator learning lifetime life . Research result show that on components think complex obtained an average score of 40.20%, ( less ), processing information 55.60%, ( enough ), communication effective 66.61% ( good ), collaboration 73.38% ( good ), and habits of mind 32.20% ( poor ). Think complexes and habits of mind literacy needs to be increased environment MAN Demak students will be very good.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the life skills profile of madrasah students, especially in learning science and digestive material. This research used descriptive quantitative methods with a sample of class VIII MTs Fatahilah Semarang. Data was obtained from questionnaires and tests. The research results show that the life skills profile of madrasah students is still not optimal, as indicated by the average being in the medium category (34.16). Madrasah students' life skills are not optimal, one of which is caused by teachers who have not developed learning that can develop students' potential optimally, especially life skills. This research is limited to the locus and perspective used so that further research can be carried out with a wider locus and perspective of madrasa students in responding to more complex future challenges that it will give birth to more comprehensive research.

Abstract

Escalating waste production due to population growth and diverse community activities poses environmental and public health threats. To mitigate these effects, this study investigates using water bamboo (Equisetum hyemale) in phytoremediation. A comprehensive literature review was conducted, analyzing articles from 2011-2024 from Indonesian language journals. Ten articles were selected, focusing on the phytoremediation of four types of waste: tofu industry waste, leachate, domestic waste, and lead. Findings reveal water bamboo’s potential as a phytoremediation agent, effectively reducing waste levels in various contexts. For instance, it reduced BOD, COD, and TTS in tofu industry waste; Pb, Zn, Cr, DO, and pH in leachate waste; BOD, COD, and detergent levels in domestic waste; and lead in lead (Pb) industrial waste. The study underscores the potential of water bamboo in real-world liquid waste management applications, contributing to sustainable waste management strategies and addressing environmental and public health challenges.

Abstract

The aquatic bamboo plant (Equisetum hyemale) can be used as a phytoremediation agent because it has hyperaccumulator properties and is hyper-tolerant of pollutants. With the increasing number of industrial and household activities, managing waste before it is disposed of directly into the environment. This research aims to determine the application of phytoremediation in reducing pollutant content in water pollution waste. The research method was carried out using a literature research design review of the Google Scholar and SINTA databases starting from publication year 2014 to 2023 by reviewing a total of ten national journal articles. The research results show that phytoremediation can reduce wastewater pollution content, especially BOD and COD levels accumulated by the roots of aquatic bamboo plants. The effective time for the phytoremediation method is 3 days, 5 days, and 12 days which can reduce the number of contaminants in sample water according to wastewater quality standards. The novelty of this research is in the variables studied, namely BOD and COD levels using aquatic bamboo plants.

Abstract

Two Stay Two Stray is a type of cooperative learning that can support active students by providing opportunities to share results and information with other group members. The background problem of this research is the finding that there is still a lack of activeness among students in their learning and group activities. This study aims to determine the level of student activity during learning, as well as the impact of their learning outcomes. The research was conducted at SMP N 36 Semarang in November 2022, with the subjects being students in class VIII F for the academic year 2022/2023. The research method used was descriptive qualitative, and the data collection techniques used included observation, tests, interviews, and documentation. The results of applying the Two Stay Two Stray cooperative learning type in the class of VIII F at SMP N 36 Semarang showed that students exhibited a 85.93% activity level during learning, and their learning outcome completeness reached 81.25%. Based on these percentages, it can be concluded that the Two Stay Two Stray cooperative learning is effective in increasing student activity during learning, which in turn leads to improved learning outcomes.

Abstract

Critical and creative thinking skills at SMA Pangudi Luhur (PL) Don Bosko are still classified as moderate critical thinking and less creative thinking, respectively. This illustrates that some students have not been able to interpret information scientifically and develop ideas to solve a problem. This study aims to analyze students' critical and creative thinking skills in understanding renewable energy material at SMA PL Don Bosko. These skills are important to face global challenges related to sustainable energy utilization. The research method used is descriptive with quantitative and qualitative approaches. Data were obtained through tests and questionnaires involving 20 students as respondents. The results of the analysis show that most students have critical thinking skills in the moderate category with an average achievement percentage of 62.94%, with the most dominant aspect of Elementary Clarification. However, students' creative thinking skills are still classified as lacking with an average achievement of 63.8%, with dominant results in the fluency aspect. Factors such as learning approaches, active student involvement, and learning resource support influence the development of these skills. This study suggests integrating a project-based learning model to improve students' critical and creative thinking skills on renewable energy materials.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifan penerapan model pembelajaran problem based learning terhadap hasil belajar materi bioteknologi kelas IX di SMP Negeri 2 Semarang. Penelitian ini dilakukan 31 Januari 2023 di SMP N 2 Semarang. Sampel penelitian ini yaitu kelas IXD yang berjumlah 32 peserta didik. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain pra-eksperimen (One Group Prestest and Posttest Desain) dengan menghitung selisih antara posttest sebagai kemampuan akhir dikurangi pretest sebagai kemampuan awal. Hasil penelitian hasil belajar kognitif menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata nilai pretest sebesar 36,25 dan rata-rata nilai posttest sebesar 79,38 dengan ketuntasan belajar klasikal mencapai 81,20% dan N-gain sebesar 67% dengan kategori sedang. Berdasarkan penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa cukup efektif penerapan model pembelajaran problem based learning terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar peserta didik pada materi bioteknologi kelas IXD di SMP N 2 Semarang.
