Abstract

Online learning  in Pandemic COVID-19 requires teachers to be more creative and innovative. Among of them, in dealing with the implementation of science experiment which is needed to build critical thinking skills of students through real phenomena that they do and observe by themselves. Students are possible to do a simple science experiment of physical and chemical changes utilize simple apparatuses and available local materials at home. This study aims to analysis student‟s critical thinking in combined online learning (practice assignments, and online discussions) and hands on activities of physical and chemical change at home. Based on the results of descriptive research of student‟s dialogue analysis during the learning process (online session), it was found that this learning is able to involve all students in critical thinking activities according to Ennis (1985) indicators. In the introduction session (main room) it was found one indicator of critical thinking skills activity with a percentage of 47%. In 1 session, group discussion activities (breakout room 1), it was found 4 critical thinking indicators with a percentage of 80%. In class discussion activities (main room), it was found 6 critical thinking indicators with a percentage 100%. In session 2 group discussion activities (breakout room 2), it was found 3 critical thinking indicators with a percentage of 40%. And In the closing session, it was not found critical thinking activity. From the results of this study, it can be said that the combination of online and hands on methods might be an alternative to the implementation of study at home to build students' critical thinking, within the allocation of learning time.  Keywords: critical thinking skills, physical and chemical changes, hybrid learning.

Abstract

Curriculum Knowledge yang dimiliki oleh guru akan berdampak pada kemampuan guru dalam mengimplementasikan kurikulum dalam setting kelas. Secara khusus, guru kimia di sekolah kejuruan harus mampu mengembangkan konten pembelajaran kimia yang sesuai dengan konteks kejuruan. Tulisan ini akan mengkaji efektivitas pembelajaran kolaboratif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan menganalisis konten kimia konteks kejuruan dan meningkatkan curriculum knowledge calon guru kimia. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah one group pretest-postest design dan diterapkan pada Mata Kuliah Kimia SMK. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar calon guru kimia mengalami peningkatan dalam kemampuan menganalisis konten kimia sesuai konteks kejuruan. Peningkatan pada aspek kemampuan menganalisis Kompetensi Dasar Kimia (rerata n-gain = 0,6676) lebih baik dibandingkan peningkatan dalam kemampuan mengintegrasikan Kompetensi Dasar Kimia dengan Kompetensi Dasar Kejuruan (rerata n-gain = 0,3624). Penguasaan curriculum knowledge calon guru mengalami peningkatan dengan kriteria sedang. Pengembangan kedua kemampuan tersebut harus terus dikembangkan agar calon guru memiliki kompetensi yang optimal dalam mengembangkan pembelajaran kimia yang efektif dan efisien di sekolah kejuruan.Kata kunci: curriculum knowledge, calon guru kimia, kimia konteks kejuruan, analisis konten

Abstract

Government of Indonesia has cancelled the face-to-face learning process at schools in since March 2020 Covid-19 pandemic. However, the learning process must go on to facilitate student learning. Online learning through Zoom is a solution for supporting student learning in the Covid-19 pandemic. The this study aims to obtain information of student learning on  statistical concepts (mean, median and mode) and statistical at 8 grade junior high school students as a selfreflection for improvement of subsequent learning. Data were collected through written tests and videoZoom recording during online learning. The video zoom recording was transcript for further analysis to obtain information of student speech.Number of the speech characters of teachers and students are presented in bar graphs for further analysis of learning tendencies. Written test was analysis to obtain information of student understanding on statistics concept. It was found that 95% of students can answer the written test correctly. Based on the analysis of the transcript data, it was found that learning tends to be teacher-cantered. Teacher realized that  does not give students the opportunity to express their opinion, the sequence of the discussion. Abstract

Abstract: This study was aimed to examine the effectiveness of collaborative problem-solving-based learning to improve knowledge about chemistry content in the automotive vocational context. The study design used was one-group pretest-posttest design and applied to Vocational Chemistry subjects. Data analysis was performed by using the normalized gain-test formula and t-test using SPSS software version 21. The findings showed that collaborative learning is effective to improve pre-service teachers’ knowledge about chemistry content of petroleum and polymer chemistry. The mastery level of basic knowledge about the petroleum and polymers is fairly good. However, the knowledge of the content of petroleum and polymer applications in the automotive field is not satisfactory. Although the application content knowledge increased with the moderate criterion for the application of petroleum and with the low criterion for polymer applications, the mastery level of pre-service teachers at the end of the course was still low. Factors that allegedly become the causes of the low mastery of application content knowledge are the characteristic factor of the content, conceptual learning difficulties and the experience factor. Keywords: content knowledge, chemistry in the vocational context, preservice chemistry teachers, petroleum, polymers PEMBELAJARAN KOLABORATIF UNTUK MENINGKATKAN PENGETAHUAN KONTEN KIMIA KONTEKS KEJURUAN OTOMOTIF CALON GURU KIMIA Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji efektivitas pembelajaran kolaboratif berbasis pemecahan masalah dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan konten kimia konteks kejuruan otomotif. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah one group pretes-postes design dan diterapkan pada mata kuliah Kimia SMK. Analisis data dilakukan dengan uji t menggunakan software SPPS edisi 21 dengan menggunakan rumus gain-test yang dinormalisasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran kolaboratif efektif dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan konten minyak bumi dan polimer bagi mahasiswa calon guru kimia. Tingkat penguasaan pengetahuan dasar tentang minyak bumi dan polimer cukup baik. Namun, untuk pengetahuan konten aplikasi minyak bumi dan polimer dalam bidang otomotif belum memberikan hasil yang menggembirakan. Meskipun pengetahuan konten aplikasi tersebut meningkat dengan kriteria peningkatan sedang untuk aplikasi minyak bumi dan kriteria rendah untuk aplikasi polimer, tingkat penguasaan calon guru di akhir perkuliahan masih rendah. Faktor yang diduga menjadi penyebab rendahnya penguasaan pengetahuan konten aplikasi ini adalah faktor karakteristik konten, kesulitan belajar konseptual, dan faktor pengalaman. Abstract

Guru membutuhkan bantuan dalam hal memahami tujuanpendidikan, kurikulum dan pembelajaran secara operasional. Orangyang memberi bantuan kepada guru-guru dalam menstimulir guru kearah usaha menciptakan suasana belajar dan mengajar yang lebihbaik disebut supervisor (pengawas/kepala sekolah). Pekerjaanmemberi bantuan itu disebut supervisi dan cara-cara membantumemperbaiki situasi belajar mengajar disebut teknik-teknik supervisi.Untuk dapat membantu guru dalam mengembangkan profesionalismedalam kegiatan belajar mengajar perlu dibuat suatu model supervisiakademik pembelajaran. Model supervisi akademik pembelajaranfisika dilaksanakan di SMA Ibu kartini. Permasalahan utama dalampenelitian ini adalah bagaimana program supervisi akademikpembelajaran dapat diterapkan di SMA Ibu kartini Semarang? ProfilMGMP rumpun IPA tingkat sekolah di SMA Ibu Kartini Semarangantara lain: 1) MGMP rumpun IPA tingkat sekolah terdiri dari 3orang, satu pengajar fisika, satu pengajar biologi, satu pengajarkimia; 2) sudah ada ketua MGMP rumpun IPA tingkat sekolah; 3)Guru tetap Yayasan satu orang guru DPK. Karakteristik supervisiakademik yang sesuai sudah diterapkan di SMA Ibu Kartini Semarangmenggunakan model Lesson Study berbasis sekolah. Beberapaprosedur dapat ditambahkan supaya Lesson Study berbasis sekolahdapat berfungsi sebagai kegiatan supervisi akademik. Prosedurtersebut antara lain adalah: 1) Ada komitmen dari MGMP rumpunIPA tingkat sekolah untuk selalu meningkatkan mutu pembelajaran; 2)Ada komitmen bahwa ketua MGMP rumpun IPA tingkat sekolahmenjadi supervisor akademik di SMA Ibu Kartini; 3) Ada komitmenbersama untuk selalu berusaha memperbaiki mutu pembelajaran: dan4) tugas supervisor adalah melakukan supervisi akademik sebagaiupaya pembinaan profesi guru.Kata kunci : lesson study, supervvisi akademik

Abstract

The effectiveness of sharing and jumping based didactical design of  covalent bonding has been studied at chemistry senior high school.  Learning based sharing task is a learning that deals to cover content of text book. Sharing task facilitate jumping process for the low achiever students. The challenging problems are given in jumping tasks activity to challenge the high achiever students. The purpose of this study was to obtain the didactical design of covalent bondings and their implementation.The research method applied is Didactical  Design Research (DDR) with following stages: analysis of didactic situation before learning, metapedadidactical analysis, and retrospective analysis. Implementation of lesson design on the topic of covalent bonding were recorded and analyzed, from the analysis result obtained the collaboration between students and between students and teachers.

Abstract

MGMP is a community of teachers to always learn (long life learning). Rapid development of the times requires the teacher to participate in the pursuit of knowledge. Lifelong learning is the teacher's obligation to generate knowledge. This is necessary because the teacher is a facilitator of students to gain knowledge. In line with that, teachers are expected to master every change process so students can also face global challenges. These results indicate that the majority of teachers who come to MGMP IPA Bogor District civil servants Teachers. MGMP activities are a place that facilitates teachers' mutual learning together. MGMP members consist of various teachers from different schools. The results show the MGMP majority forum of senior teachers. Senior Teachers are expected to guide junior and mediator teachers to learn from one another. The results of the study concluded that continuing professional development needs to be developed, then content, then creativity, ICT and finally SK and KD to improve teacher competence. The activity steps are arranged to help activate and optimize activities, namely by self-development, scientific publications, and scientific work in the Bogor District MGMP.

Abstract

The teacher is an essential component of learning. Learning that is often focused by the government is learning in urban schools. Even though rural schools also have the same right to consider. Longer distances and access to schools that are more difficult to reach causes a lack of attention in rural areas schools. Learning in rural areas also requires attention to improve the quality of teaching. Knowing learning activities in rural schools is very important because it will understand what learning needs to be improved. The purpose of the research is to find out how teaching science in rural schools. This research uses mixed methods with the Taxonomy Development Model research design. The phase of QUAL is carried out to identify important variables. The development of a taxonomy or classification system, the development of theories that are not yet stable, and supporting it is a test in the phase of QUAN to obtain more thorough study results. The findings of this study illustrate that learning begins with answering questions, so students are enthusiastic. The next learning activity showing films about the reproduction of students was very excited about learning. The obstacle found in learning is the lack of preparation in the learning that is done so that time is wasted to condition the video playback.

Abstract

Tujuan artikel ini mendeskripsikan langkah pengemabangan profesionalisme guru di SMP BPI Bandung. Peningkatan profesionalisme guru IPA yaitu kemampuan berpikir kritis, kolaboratif, kreatifitas dan komunikasi. Hal tersebut menarik untuk dikaji ulang dan dibentuk menjadi kecakapan guru dalam pembelajaran. Hal tersebut sangat penting karena guru merupakan agen perubahan generasi penerus yang akan datang. Kebermutuan anak-anak sekarang dan masa yang akan datang tergantung pada keberhasilan pendidikan yang dilakukan. Pembelajaran yang dengan guru yang professional akan menghasilkan pembelajaran yang bermutu. Metode yang digunakan merupakan diskeptif kualitatif.  Hasil Penelitian memperoleh dengan adanya kegiatan perencanaan yang baik maka akan menghasilkan pengimplementasian pembelajaran berjalan dengan lebih baik dan bermutu. Kesimpulannya pengembangan profesionalisme guru IPA SMP BPI di Bandung yang cocok diterapkan yaitu pengembangan komunitas belajar guru melalui metode lesson study, adanya peningkatan keprofesionalisasime guru, kesiapan, percayadiri dan mau menerima kritikan. Perencanaan pembelajaran yang dilakukan menyesuaikan siswa supaya dapat belajar. Lesson desain tersusun pada tahap perencanaan yang tersusun simple dan sistematis. Selanjutnya pengimplementasian lesson desain dalam pembelajaran yang memfasilitasi siswa belajar, guru lebih percaya diri dan siap dalam pembelajaran. Tahap terakhir refleksi bersama untuk memperbaiki dan belajar bersama melalui pembelajaran yang dilakukan.

Abstract

The lack of didactic anticipation as reflected in lesson plans can have an impact on the less optimal learning process for each student so that learning obstacles arise. One effort to overcome this is to design learning through didactic design. This study aims to develop a didactic design in reducing learning obstacles in the concept of redox reactions. The method used in this research is a qualitative research method. The research design used is Didactical Design Research (DDR). Data collection techniques used are tests, observations, interviews and documentation. Respondents in this study were 30 students of the UPI Pilot Laboratory High School in class XI IPA 2 and 28 students in class X. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the didactic design developed in the form of Chapter Design and Lesson Design included providing an understanding of concepts through the provision of phenomena followed by experiments or demonstrations in general, which ran smoothly. The existence of Chapter Design and Lesson Design components aims to make students obtain the material. The other goal is to make it easier for teachers to achieve better educational goals by bringing out predictions of student responses and prepared teacher anticipation. This didactical design can reduce learning barriers and can improve students' abilities. It can be concluded that the didactic design of the concept of oxidation-reduction reactions is effective as an alternative teaching material used in the learning process.
