Abstract

The goal of this study is to uncover the millennial generation's perception of ghuru tolang as well as the pattern of socio-cultural relations established by the Madurese millennial community. This research employs a qualitative-phenomenological approach, with data gathered through interviews, observation, and documentation. The information was analysed in three stages: reduction, display, and verification. According to the findings of this study, the figure and role of ghuru tolang are essentially the same in the eyes of the millennial generation, despite a slight shift. According to him, ghuru tolang is a religious educator and founder who must be respected and obeyed. Ghuru tolang, on the other hand, does not stand out from other teachers in their eyes.so there is no sacredness that must be overly addressed. Nevertheless, the millennial generation still positions ghuru tolang as a religious and social leader so that he is considered a cultural symbol that fully adheres to traditional religious values and has important meaning for the Madurese people. The social relations that are built between the ghuru tolang and the millennial generation are imbued with a strong spiritual aspect where there is a special relationship, namely a relationship that is imbued with the spirit of Nasyr al 'ilmi. The closeness of the relationship between the two is also based on a strong emotional closeness like the psychological relationship between parents and their children.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the many acts of bullying among teenagers or students, this is due to the lack of teacher supervision of students against bullying so that it will have an impact on students' self-confidence. The purpose of this study was to determine the self-confidence of students who were victims of bullying at SMP Al-Hakim Sampang. Based on this, there are three research focuses that become the reference for this research study, namely: first, what is the description of bullying behavior at Al Hakim Sampang Junior High School? Second, how is the impact of bullying behavior on students' self-confidence at SMP Al Hakim Sampang? Third, have you tried to increase students' self-confidence due to bullying behavior at SMP Al Hakim Sampang?. This study uses qualitative research methods, data collection procedures used by researchers including interviews, observation, documentation. Meanwhile, the data analysis includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. Then in the process of checking the validity of the research data through extended participation, persistence in the observation process, and finally through triangulation. The results of this study indicate that: First, the description of the bullying behavior of class VIII students, namely starting from continuous taunts, causing perpetrators of violence or physical bullying. The results of the questionnaire showed physical bullying behavior of 80 with a percentage of 54% more than other bullying behaviors, then verbal bullying with a score of 43 with a percentage of 29% being the second most bullying behavior, then rational bullying with a score of 16 percentages of 11%, in the last order electronic bullying/ cyber bullying with a score of 9 percentage 6%. Second, the impact of bullying behavior on students' self-confidence. The impact on children's self-confidence varies, such as children who like to be alone, are not enthusiastic about learning, are less active in class, never join other friends, often do not go to school and some even want to quit school. Third, the teacher's efforts to increase students' self-confidence due to bullying behavior at Al Hakim Sampang Junior High School, namely if someone commits bullying behavior, the teacher immediately calls the perpetrator or victim of bullying to handle it, for the victim is given motivation so that his confidence returns again and for the perpetrator is given a reprimand and given punishment according to the violation, so that bullying behavior does not happen again.

Abstract

Character development through project-based activities is a central focus in the implementation of value-based education. The Project for Strengthening the Profile of Pancasila Students and the Profile of Students with Compassion for the Universe is applied in Islamic schools as a contextual learning model that internalizes national and religious values. This study aims to examine the management of project development in Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 2 Pamekasan, focusing on the planning, implementation, evaluation, achievements, challenges, and optimization strategies. The research employed a qualitative descriptive approach using participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. Informants included the head of the madrasah, project coordinators, project teachers, students, and education staff. The findings show that the management of project development was carried out collaboratively, flexibly, and value-based, involving active participation of all school components. The implementation phase encouraged experiential learning that effectively fostered students' character, social responsibility, and critical thinking skills. Evaluation was conducted reflectively and authentically, emphasizing process and student engagement rather than mere outcomes. The main challenges identified were limited time, logistical constraints, and varying capacities among facilitators. Optimization strategies included teacher training, schedule integration, improved evaluation tools, external collaboration, and thorough documentation. This study provides practical insights for other Islamic educational institutions in designing and managing value-based projects in a structured and sustainable manner.

Abstract

Pendidikan bertujuan mengembangkan SDM melalui kegiatan pengajaran. Manusia seutuhnya merupakan istilah yang dikenal dalam konteks keindonesiaan berupa terciptanya sebuah generasi yang terdidik, penuh toleran, dinamis dan diridhai oleh Tuhan Yang Maha Esa. Untuk mensukseskan hal itu, maka kebijakan pendidikan harus berpihak pada masyarakat, sehingga konsep yang akan diterapkan adalah pendidikan yang humanis sebagai sarana dinamisasi perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan. Dengan adanya otonomi pendidikan yang di dalamnya terkandung MBS sebagai dasar desentralisasi pendidikan, maka proses pendidikan menjadi tanggung jawab bersama di antara unsur-unsur pendidikan. Melalui manajemen model ini, lembaga pendidikan memiliki kewenangan untuk mengelola sumber daya manusia, partisipasi masyarakat, penyederhanaan birokrasi, sistem evaluasi, pemetaan kurikulum dan sebagainya.

Abstract

Politik dan pendidikan senantiasa berjalan bersama.Keduanya tidak bisa dipisahkan, meskipun keduanya telah nyatamemiliki nilai dan semangat yang berbeda. Politik senantiasaberkepentingan untuk melanggengkan kekuasaan, sementarapendidikan berkepentingan melestarikan nilai-nilai suci peradabandan budaya umat manusia. Perjalanan sejarah telah memotretberkelindannya pergumulan politik dan pendidikan dalammembangun masa-masa keemasan peradaban Islam. Berangkat darinuansa kontestasi politik dengan dunia Barat, para praktisipendidikan Islam telah berhasil membendung upaya Barat untuksenantiasa mendiskreditkan Islam dalam pentas peradaban dunia.Tulisan ini mencoba memotret relasi kekuasaan (politik) denganperjalanan dunia pendidikan pada masa-masa awal kejayaan Islam(klasik) hingga menjelang abad pertengahan.

Abstract

Di antara faktor penyebab kegagalan belajar siswa adalahperilaku fandalisme baik di dalam kelas maupun di luar kelas.Tulisan ini akan mendeskripsikan perilaku fandalisme siswaMadrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri (MTsN) Kadur Pamekasan dan upayayang dilakukan untuk menekan perilaku tersebut. Hasil penelitian inimenunjukkan bahwa: 1) Perilaku siswa yang dapat dikategorikanfandalisme adalah terlambat masuk kelas; tidak  memakai bajuseragam madrasah, bolos sekolah, tidak mengerjakan tugas, malasdalam mengikuti pelajaran, merokok, mewarnai rambut, berpacaran,membawa alat elektronik seperti HP, keluar sekolah tanpa izin, danmencuri; 2) Upaya yang dilakukan dalam menekan perilakufandalisme siswa adalah melalui pendekatan moral dan sentuhanemosional serta pendekatan spiritual.

Abstract

This research aims at analysing the implementation of zoning system and its effect on the Islamic education institution. It also analyses the opportunity and resistance of the implementation of Permendikbud No. 14 2018. The approach of this research is qualitative. The data sources are headmasters, parents or public community dealing with school and all documents related to the content of Permendikbud No. 14 2018. The data collection is done by doing observation, interview and taking the documentation related to the topic. The result shows: first, the response from the institutions under the education and culture department to this regulation are: 1) the state education institution located in the urban area both in the level of elementary and higher school have implemented the regulation; 2) state education institution located in the suburban area have not implemented the regulation; 3) the private education institution and institution under the pesantren’s authority have not implemented the regulation secondly, education institution under the Religious Department got the most positive effect from the regulation of Permendikbud No.14 2018 because the institution under the Religious Department  1) became the first choice because they do not implement the zoning system; 2) are challenged to increase their academic quality to fir the society’s need; 3) got significant  additional students; third point is Islamic education institution have a bigger opportunity to get high quality newcomers because the enrolment is not restricted in zone, with change to increase the resources quality and upgrade the school’s image on the society, and also change the student’s enrolment system becomes more innovative.

Abstract

This article reveals the efforts made by Maktab Nubdzatul Bayan at Islamic boarding school Mambaul Ulum Bata-Bata Pamekasan in providing a new breakthrough in accelerating the mastery of the arabic book for children of basic education age. The pattern of accelerated learning as the key to this movement has proven to lead to mastery of the arabic book which is relatively short for the age of the children. With a qualitative approach and photographing objects naturally, this research data was obtained through interviews, activity observations and document review. The results of the study show that the arabic book learning reformulation is carried out by: a button-up pattern of policy-making; placement of students as a learning center (student centered); implementation of student-based supervision; mentoring attached to junior students; spiritual strengthening of caregivers; and small group based learning; competency test of prospective graduates, and appreciation of student achievement. The success of this effort is influenced by several factors: the common determination of all parties; the ratio of comparison between supervisors and students is ideal; standard study and dormitory facilities; conducive learning environment and great caregiver support.

Abstract

This study aims to reveal Islamic boarding schools' learning models and quality in the Equality Education Program of Salaf Islamic Boarding Schools in Madura. This study used a qualitative approach with a descriptive research type. The research was conducted in several Islamic boarding schools of Madura island to represent Islamic boarding schools that have implemented the Salaf Islamic Boarding School Equality Education Program. The results of this study indicate that the equality program has been carried out in several Islamic boarding schools in Madura. The implementation of this program is carried out by applying a mixed learning model, namely the conventional learning model (sorogan and bandongan) and the online learning model, through the Equality Test, Computer-Based National Assessment (CBNA), and Computer-Based Education Unit Examination (CBEUE). Quality assurance is implemented by utilizing an internal and external evaluation system. While a particular team from the Ministry of Religion conducts external evaluations, pesantren administrators and managers are responsible for internal evaluations. The shift in madrasah diniyah education shows that pesantren have been able to apply online learning models while maintaining conventional learning models. The quality of pesantren is increasing with the number of students, equalizing students' education with general education, and obtaining formal recognition from the National Accreditation Board for schools/madrasahs.

Abstract

This article examines the implementation of religious moderation education at Madrasah Manbaul Uloom through two complementary models: formal and non-formal. The non-formal model is realized through institutional policies that encourage communal interaction in shared spaces without regard to ethnic distinctions, thereby fostering inclusivity and mutual respect. Meanwhile, the formal model is systematically integrated into the curriculum, ensuring that values of moderation are embedded within structured learning processes. Employing a qualitative research approach with a descriptive design, this study draws upon interviews with 15 students enrolled at Madrasah Manbaul Uloom, alongside three caregivers (ustadz/teachers) who served as key informants. These perspectives provide nuanced insights into both the conceptualization and practical enactment of religious moderation within the institution. The findings reveal that the values cultivated at Madrasah Manbaul Uloom encompass respect for religious diversity, recognition of ethnic plurality, and the active prevention of violence and hate speech. Collectively, these practices demonstrate how religious moderation education can be operationalized in ways that not only strengthen interfaith and interethnic harmony but also contribute to the broader goal of nurturing a peaceful and tolerant society. This study underscores the significance of integrating moderation values into both formal curricula and informal institutional practices, offering a model that may be replicated in similar educational contexts.
