Abstract

Puskesmas Kototinggi, Kabupaten Lima Puluh Kota merupakan salah satu puskesmas yang memiliki tiga desa untuk pencepatan pengetasan balita pendek/ stunting yang ditetapkan oleh pemerintah pada tahun 2020. Masalah kekurangan gizi dapat disebabkan karena pola asuh baik pola asuh makan, pola asuh psikososial, pola asuh ke pelayanan kesehatan dan pola asuh kebersihan yang tidak optimal. Kader merupakan salah satu ujung tombak pelayanan kesehatan di tingkat yang paling bawah. Sehingga sangat diperlukan penguatan kapasitas kader dalam memberikan penyuluhan kepada ibu balita. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah memberikan pelatihan kepada kader kesehatan tentang pola asuh makan bayi dan anak dengan pendekatan Emotional Demonstration (Emo Demo). Pada kondisi pandemi COVID-19 ini penulis menginisiasi pelatihan yang dilakukan melalui jarak jauh dengan menggunakan zoom meeting selama dua hari. Tahapan pelaksanaan kegiatan dimulai dengan koordinasi dengan Dinas Kesehatan Kabupaten Lima Puluh Kota, koordinasi tim dengan trainer emodemo dari Non Goverment Organization Global Alliances Improvement Nutrition (GAIN), koordinasi dengan Puskesmas Kototinggi, training of trainer tenaga kesehatan dan pelatihan kader. Hasil dari pelatihan yang dilakukan dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan kader tentang pola asuh makan. Setelah pelatihan ini diharapkan kegiatan penyuluhan dapat dilakukan kader kepada ibu balita dengan menggunakan emodemo sehingga ibu anak usia bawah lima tahun dapat memberikan pola asuh makan yang tepat serta dapat berdampak status gizi dan kesehatan anak balita.

Abstract

One of the aesthetic problem which had bother and become a complaint was teeth discoloration that can be overcome by dental bleaching procedures. The use of tooth whitening ingredient can cause side effects such as tooth sensitivity and mucous irritation. Therefore, many researchers have been looking for a safer alternatives materials to be used as tooth whitening ingredients including Strawberry (Fragaria x ananassa) contain of elegat acid and malic acid and Lime (Citrus aurantifolia) contain of citric acid which have potential to whiten the teeth. The purpose of this research is to determine differences strawberry and lime fruit as a natural ingredient of tooth whitening. This research used in vitro laboratory experiment method by using 30 post-extraction premolar on teeth divided into three groups, namely the treatment of strawberry concentration of 100% (K1), the treatment group lime concentration of 2.5% (K2 ) and the treatment control group carbamide peroxide 10% (K3). Color changes measurements was observed pretest and posttest by 15 observers using Shade Guide VITAPAN classical. The research showed that strawberry concentration of 100% have an average difference in the color of teeth is 6.40, lime concentration of 2.5 at 6.20 and carbamide peroxide 10% as the control group amounted to 3.20. Based on the Kruskal Wallis test there are differences in the average value of the observation color of the teeth was significant (P <0.05) and continued with different test further the Post Hoc Test Mann Whitney gained significant difference (p> 0.05) between treatment groups strawberry 100% with carbamide peroxide 10%, lime and 2.5% carbamide peroxide 10%, while among the treatment groups strawberries 100% with 2.5% lime fruit is not significantly different because it has a value of p> 0.05. Strawberry concentration of 100% more effective to whiten teeth than lime concentration of 2.5%, but there is no significant difference in teeth whitening, while lime is more effective than carbamide peroxide 10%. Abstract

Background: Patient's perspective is one of the indicator that affect the health care quality. Best service of health provider is also important parameter to achieving the patient's satisfaction. Purpose: to determine the relationship of the dimensional service quality to dental patient satisfaction in Puskesmas Guguk Panjang, Bukittinggi. Method: This was a cross sectional study, participating of 106 respondents arround 25-65 years old. The patient who ever comes to the puskesmas Guguk Panjang were included to this study. The data were analyzed by Chi-Square test on a p-value of 0.05. Results: The most of respondents state the quality service of oral health care in Puskesmas Guguk Panjang Bukittinggi are good (80,2%). Statistically, there is significant relationship between quality service (tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy) to patient satisfaction. Thec cartesian diagram showed that there’s still some dimension haven’t meet the patients satisfaction and need to be fixed which consists of building and dental section’s appearance and sanitation, also lack of dental equipments. This research concluded that there is significant relationship between quality service to the dental patient satisfaction. Atributes in Quadrant I need to be evaluated and repaired.

Abstract

Produk gipsum digunakan dalam bidang kedokteran gigi untuk membuat model studi dan model kerja dari rongga mulut serta struktur kranio-fasial. Salah satu produk gipsum yang paling sering digunakan di bidang kedokteran gigi adalah dental stone. Sifat dan karakteristik dental stone adalah setting time dan kekuatan kompresi. Hal yang mempengaruhi setting time dan kekuatan kompresi dental stone di antaranya adalah lama pengadukan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan lama pengadukan dengan setting time dan kekuatan kompresi dental stone. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimental laboratoris dengan jumlah sampel sembilan buah model dental stone, dengan masing-masing tiga perlakuan dengan lama pengadukan 20 detik, 40 detik, dan 60 detik. Pengukuran setting time dilakukan dengan alat Vicat Penetrometer dan pengukuran kekuatan kompresi dilakukan dengan alat Compressive Strength Test. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan rata-rata setting time yang diaduk selama 20 detik, 40 detik, dan 60 detik. Kekuatan kompresi dental stone meningkat saat pengadukan selama 20 detik dan 40 detik, dan 60 detik. Hasil uji One Way ANOVA menunjukkan terdapat peningkatan signifikan pada setting time dan kekuatan kompresi yang diaduk lebih lama (p0,05). Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini terbukti bahwa terdapat hubungan lama pengadukan terhadap setting time dan kekuatan kompresi dental stone.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the optimal biscuit formula with the addition of avocado flour based on its organoleptic quality, nutritional content, and microbial contamination as an alternative to complementary foods for breast milk. The research design was experimental with completely randomized design (CRD). There were 1 control formula (F0) and 3 modified formulas (F1,F2,F3) with 2 repetitions. Each formulation consists of wheat flour, avocado flour and soy protein isolate with a ratio of F0(100:0:15), F1(90:10:15), F2(80:20:15), F3(70:30:15). Organoleptic test was carried out on 30 untrained panelists. The data were analyzed by using SPSS 26 with Kruskal Wallis test and further tested with Mann Whitney test. The results showed that the biscuits that the panelists liked the most were F1 biscuits with the addition of 10% avocado flour. F1 biscuits contained 405.24 kcal of energy, 8.75 grams of protein, 7.8 grams of fat, 75.01 grams of carbohydrates, 2.15253 mg of iron, and 2.2657 mg of zinc with characteristics of yellowish brown colored, medium aroma, with a slightly bitter taste and crunchy texture. and TPC 9×101 colonies/gr, Salmonella Sp. Negative/25gram, Escheria. Coli 3 APM/gram. The formula chosen in this study was the F1 biscuits with the addition of 10% avocado flour. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan formula optimal biskuit dengan penambahan tepung alpukat berdasarkan mutu organoleptik, kandungan gizi, dan cemaran mikrobanya sebagai alternatif makanan pendamping air susu ibu (MPASI). Desain penelitan ini adalah Eksperimental dengan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL). Terdapat 1 formula kontrol (F0) dan 3 formula modifikasi (F1, F2, F3) dengan 2 kali penggulangan. Masing-masing formulasi terdiri dari tepung terigu, tepung alpukat dan isolat protein kedelai dengan perbandingan yaitu F0 (100:0:15), F1 (90:10:15), F2 (80:20:15), F3 (70:30:15). Uji organoleptik dilakukan kepada 30 orang panelis tidak terlatih. Analisis data menggunakan SPSS 26 dengan uji Kruskal Wallis dan diuji lanjut dengan uji Mann Whitney. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa biskuit yang paling disukai panelis yaitu biskuit F1 dengan penambahan tepung alpukat sebanyak 10%. Biskuit F1 mengandung energi 405,24 kkal, protein 8,75 gr, lemak 7,8 gr, karbohidrat 75,01 gr, besi 2,15253 mg, dan seng 2,2657 mg. Warna biskuit coklat kekuningan, aroma sedang, rasa agak pahit, dan tekstur renyah. ALT sebesar 9 × 101 koloni/gr, Salmonella Sp. Negatif/25gram, E. Coli 3 APM/gram. Formula terpilih pada penelitian ini yaitu biskuit F1 dengan penambahan tepung alpukat sebanyak 10%.

Abstract

The problem of malnutrition in a toddler is still faced by developing countries, one of which is the State of Indonesia, including Jambi Province. The incidence of malnutrition is still quite high. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between family factors and health services with the incidence of malnutrition in children under five. The type of research is quantitative research with a cross-sectional design. The study was conducted from January to June 2021 in the Simpang IV Sipin Health Center Work Area, Jambi City, with a total sample of 83 children under five. Samples were taken by using a stratified random sampling technique. Primary data collection to the respondent's house was then processed and analyzed using the SPSS program with the Multiple Logistics Regression test. The results showed that the incidence of malnutrition was close to 15%. Family support factor (p-value = 0.007; = 0.292; 95% CI = 0.007-0.045 and p-value = 0.002; = 0.325; 95% CI = 0.012 - 0.051) is a factor associated with the incidence of underweight and short in children. toddlers with a positive relationship direction. Then the factor of toddler age (p=0.019; =-0.243; 95%CI=-0.039 - -0.004) was also associated with stunting in toddlers with a negative relationship. Thus, it is necessary to provide education to families about nutritious food for toddlers to get good growth and development.

Abstract

Neonatal mortality is a leading cause of infant deaths, particularly in developing countries. In Serdang Bedagai Regency, the coverage of neonatal visits remains low, contributing to the high neonatal mortality rate and causing economic losses. This study aims to identify factors related to the neonatal visit coverage rate in Serdang Bedagai Regency, North Sumatra, Indonesia. This study used a cross-sectional design with multivariate analysis. Data were collected from 200 mothers with babies aged 0-28 days in five health centers in Serdang Bedagai Regency. The variables analyzed include age, education, economic status, knowledge, maternal attitudes, culture, family support, midwife attitudes, access to health facilities, and service quality. The data were analyzed using logistic regression. The results showed that the variables consistently and significantly affecting the increase in neonatal visit coverage were maternal education, knowledge about neonatal visits, local culture, husband/family support, and the quality of visit services. Factors that significantly contributed to increasing coverage of neonatal visits were maternal education (p-value = 0.004, OR = 14.285), maternal knowledge (p-value = 0.000, OR= 75.920), local culture (p-value = 0.000, OR = 57.105), husband/family support (p-value = 0.000, OR = 77.763), and service quality (p-value = 0.000, OR = 47.474). These factors have a major influence in supporting the success of the neonatal visit program, with maternal knowledge and family support being the most dominant factors.. Efforts to increase coverage should involve educating mothers, involving families, and enhancing services while considering local wisdom.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to determine the efficacy of formulated tempe-yam supplementation on weight for age z-score of underweight children aged 2-4 years. A quasi experiment pre-post test with control group design was applied in this study for four weeks. The intervention group consist of 19 children given formulated tempe-yam 100 g/d; and the control group consist of 19 children given biscuit 100 g/d in Padang Pariaman district, West Sumatera. Data collected included weight, height, and albumin level. Paired t-test was applied for the data analysis. The results of this study found significant differences in albumin level before and after on control group (p<0.05). Then, the results of this study also found significant differences in weight for age z-score before and after on intervention group (p<0.05). Therefore, formulated tempe-yam supplementation as food sumplementation need to be considered for underweight children.Keywords: albumin level, food suplementation, tempe-yam, weight-for age z-score

Abstract

Stunting is a complex development problem, and it’s related to most goals of SDGs, ranging from eradicating poverty, eliminating hunger, malnutrition (including stunting), improving maternal and child health, eradicating disease, improving the environment and sanitation, food security, nutrition, gender equality and cooperation between nations. West Pasaman is one of the locus districts in West Sumatra Province. So the role of universities in assisting prevention and stunting prevention programs is crucial. This assistance activity aims to implement integrated nutrition interventions for stunting prevention and countermeasure in West Pasaman district. The method of activities undertaken is coordination and consolidation with the application of the IGT-AS (Integrated Nutrition-Child Stunting Intervention) concept from the college level, district, sub-district, and village levels. While the survey method by collecting nutritional status data at the family level. The assistance provided by tertiary institutions resulted in proposed interventions to OPD (Regional Apparatus Organizations) related to nutrition interventions at the Nagari / Village level by implementing five intervention pillars through Nagari / Village institutions and the support of OPD District which has an extension at the District and Village / Nagari levels. The survey results obtained the nutritional status of Height for age in Nagari Kajai West Pasaman found 128 children were Stunting (32.8%), children under five with exclusive breastfeeding by 60.5%, Integrated Healthcare Center sits in the last three months were found to be the most weighted regularly at 67.7%, and mothers of children under five who attend Toddler Family Development (BKB) in Nagari Kajai are still low at 14.9%. The role of universities is crucial, especially in increasing the capacity of OPD in determining intervention programs, expanding the capacity of health workers, cadres of Integrated Healthcare Center activities, and community empowerment.
