Abstract

Stages of designing the layout of the manufacturing cell involves three steps: (1) the cells formation, (2) designing the layout of the intracellular and (3) designing the layout of intercellular. This study made a model of cell formation. At this stage of cell formation, the criteria to be considered are the cost of an additional investment of machinery, material handling costs intracellular, intercellular material handling costs, cost of work in process and penalty fees under the machine utilization. Intracellular layout design stage, the criteria to be considered is the cost of work-in-process. While the design stage layout intercellular consider the cost of work-in-process. The performance of the layout of the cells was evaluated using a numerical example.

Abstract

PT. XYZ merupakan sebuah perusahaan manufaktur yang bergerak dibidang otomotif dan sudah berjalan sebagai supplier komponen otomotif untuk beberapa perusahaan otomotif terkemuka di Indonesia. Kebanyakan proses produksi pada PT. XYZ sudah berjalan dengan baik. Tetapi terdapat salah satu sub produk mereka yang memiliki kendala dalam proses produksinya yaitu muffler K-59J. Pada lintasan produksi muffler K-59J dinilai kurang optimal dalam proses produksinya. Hal tersebut dilihat dari banyak kendala yang timbul selama proses produksi berlangsung. Mulai dari terjadi penumpukan (bottleneck), Target produksi harian sering tidak tercapai sehingga sering terjadi waktu kerja tambahan (overtime), dan jika dilihat secara data nilai efisiensinya hanya sebesar 58,81 %. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan performa dari lintasan produksi tersebut. Oleh karena itu diusulkan metode Algoritma Genetik yang bersifat komputerisasi untuk meningkatkan performanya. Proses penyelesaian penelitian ini dilakukan dengan bantuan program matlab dalam pengerjaan metode Algoritma Genetik. Pada prosesnya, dilakukan beberapa tahapan mulai dari membuat representasi genetik, menyeleksi populasi induk, melakukan rekombinasi dan mutasi, dan regenerasi populasi. Tetapi terdapat sedikit perbedaan pada penlitian ini dimana populasi awal yang dibentuk merupakan populasi yang sudah tersaring kedalam syarat-syarat keseimbangan lintasan antara lain sesuai dengan diagram alurnya, dan jumlah waktu stasiun kerja tidak melebihi cycle time. Dari hasil pengerjaan metode Algoritma Genetik tersebut, didapatkan besar efisiensi lintasan sebesar 74,07 % dengan total stasiun kerja sebanyak 18 stasiun kerja. dengan demikian nilai efisiensi lintasan berhasil ditingkatkan sebesar 15,26 %.

Abstract

PT. XYZ’s Cold Storage that is located in the Pelabuhan Perikanan Samudera Nizam Zachman Jakarta currently does not implement a storage layout system, the are randomly placed, even an empty area near the door is not utilized to put the commodity to be stored. Causing the forklift mileage to grow larger. In addition, the demand for cold storage is increasing from year to year so that cold storage should be increased current capacity, cold storage is currently able to accommodate 575 pallets. The increase in cold storage capacity is done by combining the storage flow, pallet laying position, as well as the layout method of class based storage, dedicated storage, and random storage. The combination of these three factors resulted in 18 possible proposals for the improvement of the cold storage layout. From the 18th combinations likely to be taken one combination of layouts by considering three criteria i.e. maximum capacity, minimum distance, and maximum revenue gained from maximum capacity. Proposal layout with a combination of pallet widened position, simple straight groove, with dedicated storage method to be the best proposal with a maximum capacity of 750 pallets, the minimum distance of 5728.82 m, and the company can earn a maximum income of Rp 297 million per month with the capacity.

Abstract

PT. X is a garment industry company that produces clothing products. PT. X has not implemented a maintenance or machine maintenance system. Currently, the company only performs machine maintenance when they are damaged. This causes losses for the company because it can disrupt the smooth running of the production process, such as sudden engine damage, which can cause high machine downtime. Therefore, maintenance of machines is needed in the form of a schedule for replacing and checking cutting machine components with a Preventive maintenance approach to support the production process at the company. In addition to generating replacement schedules and inspecting engine components, Implementing the proposed Preventive maintenance takes the scheduling for maintenance and cleaning of cutting machines. After the replacement schedule and inspection of engine components are generated, it will affect the inventory of engine components. The inventory system proposed is the inventory system model P. Model P is chosen because it is in accordance with the condition of the company and meets the requirements of the model P inventory system. The P inventory system produces a cost of Rp. 22,508,709.

Abstract

PT. Adi Sarana Logistik (PT ASL) is a company engaged in the warehouse and logistics sector, which delivers many packages daily. Previously, manual scheduling took a long time, and there were violations of working hours regulations. The research was conducted at the outbound division, in picker and dispatcher units for leaders and operational staff, where the number of operational staff varies each month, so there are four schedules were produced where this study aims to minimize overtime hours for each level of staffs and units by Goal Programming and Binary Integer Programming which are completed with LINGO 18.0. The results of this study have been implemented in the company, where the schedule only takes a few seconds, while previously, it took 1-2 days. The scheduling carried out in this study is in October 2022, where all employees for leaders and staff in each unit have 22 working days, nine days off, 1 hour of overtime, and follow the rules.

Abstract

PT. Medion Farma Jaya is a company that produces livestock equipment, parts, and plastic packaging. One of the products produced by PT. Medion Farma Jaya is a 5-CC measuring spoon. This mass production process is based on what the company needs to package it with other products, or that can be from customer orders. This research is focused on the 5 CC measuring spoon product (SEN5CC) because, according to the company's 2021 historical data, there is a large percentage of rejected or defective products. Because of these problems, things can be done. The effect on the response to defective products is the setting of the injection Moulding machine by trial and error. Therefore, this research aims to find optimal settings for the machine for injection molding so that it can improve the quality of the product. To find out the optimal settings in this research, the response surface method was used. Based on this method is useful for getting the optimal level of factors or parameters that are significant to the response results. Based on research results, the factors used significantly influence optimal results, namely the melting temperature factor of 260 °C, holding pressure of 30 bar, and injection pressure of 62 bar. Therefore, the predicted response value was -25.1667, which meets the minimum target for the rejected product.

Abstract

The intense competition between developers, resulting in efforts to determine users' needs, is increasingly important. Usability An application can affect the continuity of application use. In this study, the user's loyalty is also used to analyze usability. This study examines user perceptions about user interaction characteristics when interacting with the mobile commerce application and considers users' loyalty. This research is essential to find out the needs of users of a mobile commerce application, which can be input to the developer in the design stage. This study uses 149 respondents' online shopping transactions in Jabadetabek and outside Jabodetabek, Indonesia. Data were analyzed using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) model. The results showed that users' perception of effectiveness, satisfaction, and learning influenced usability. This model can explain 42.6% of the user's usability variation when using it. This model can explain the usability of the Mobile Commerce application quite well. As a practical implication, this study shows the factors that support the characteristics of user interaction and application systems at the stage of defining the requirements for developing mobile commerce applications.

Abstract

Pengembangan peternakan ayam petelur di Desa Cisalak, Sumedang merupakan salah satu inisiatif untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat setempat. Artikel ini membahas hasil kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang bertujuan untuk memberikan pendampingan kelayakan usaha dan strategi pengembangan peternakan ayam petelur. Metode pendampingan dilakukan melalui analisis kebutuhan, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi. Pendekatan partisipatif digunakan untuk melibatkan tim, warga desa dan peternak secara aktif dalam perumusan solusi dengan metode SWOT. Contoh perhitungan kelayakan usaha juga diberikan. Hal ini dapat meningkatkan pemahaman mereka tentang praktik terbaik dalam peternakan ayam petelur. Keberhasilan pendampingan dapat dilihat dari hasil evaluasi umpan balik kegiatan yang baik dan sangat baik. Selain itu, indikator keberhasilan dilihat dari respon positif dan antusiasme seluruh peserta. Artikel ini dapat menjadi referensi bagi pihak-pihak terkait, baik pemerintah daerah, warga desa, dan peternak lainnya dalam upaya pengembangan usaha peternakan ayam petelur di berbagai desa.  Abstract. The development of layer farms in Cisalak Village, Sumedang is one of the initiatives to improve the welfare of the local community. This article discusses the results of community service activities that aim to provide assistance on business feasibility and development strategies for layer farming. The mentoring method is carried out through needs analysis, implementation and evaluation. A participatory approach was used to actively involve the team, villagers and farmers in the formulation of solutions using the SWOT method. Examples of business feasibility calculations were also given. This improved their understanding of best practices in layer farming. The success of the mentoring can be seen from the results of the evaluation of good and excellent activity feedback. In addition, the success indicator is seen from the positive response and enthusiasm of all participants. This article can be a reference for related parties, both local governments, villagers, and other farmers in efforts to develop layer farming businesses in various villages.

Abstract

Perkembangan yang terjadi membentuk sebuah lingkungan industri yang dinamis, dimana terdapat jenis produk yang bervariasi dan fluktuasi volume produksi. Kelemahannya dalam meminimumkan jarak perpindahan material menyebabkan tata letak tradisional menjadi tidak efisien untuk digunakan, sehingga diperlukan sebuah rancangan tata letak yang mampu mengatasi kelemahan tersebut serta strategi dalam mengembangkan tata letak, yakni dari tradisional menjadi non-tradisional. Pada penelitian ini digunakan dua perusahaan berbeda, yakni PT. X menggunakan tata letak produk dan PT. Y tata letak proses. Penelitian ini memberikan perhitungan dan analisis tata letak dengan metode rectilinear untuk kriteria jarak, Material handling planning sheet (MHPS) untuk kriteria waktu dan biaya material handling. Hasil yang didapatkan tata letak proses adalah 1.586,36 meter, 175,9967 menit dan Rp 70.423,75 sedangkan hasil yang didapatkan untuk tata letak produk adalah 1.154,97 meter, 415,2947 menit dan Rp 167.403,4. Hasil perhitungan tersebut dibandingkan dengan tata letak non-tradisional, yakni tata letak selular dan tata letak Modular. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tata letak Modular mampu mengurangi Jarak sebesar 45,12%; Lama waktu 24,74% ; dan biaya 27,74% dari tata letak proses. Sedangkan hasil yang didapatkan tata letak seluler mengurangi Jarak sebesar 8,35%; Lama waktu 2,393% ; dan biaya 2,393% dari tata letak produk.. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa tata letak non-tradisional yang baik sebagai peralihan dari tata letak proses adalah tata letak Modular, sedangkan untuk tata letak produk adalah tata letak selular

Abstract

PT Sarana Energi Investama operates as an industry in the field of electrical components. Some of the products produced by PT Sarana Energi Investama include LVMDP panels, sub-distribution panels, Lighting panel, Emergency panel, Elevator panels, and others. In this case, the layout owned by PT Sarana Energi Investama is still non-standard in nature and was placed without taking into account the flow of production as well as the frequency and relations between production facilities. In this case, research was conducted regarding the design of the facility layout at the workshop facility owned by PT Sarana Energi Investama using the group technology layout. Group technology layout is considered one of the methods that can be used to design layouts in an effective, efficient, and flexible manner for customized product types and is able to overcome production constraints when the quantity of demand fluctuates. In the study, calculations were carried out using routing sheets, calculating the frequency of transfers, determining relationships between facilities, using rank-order clustering algorithms to design group technology layouts, as well as designing intracellular and overall facility layouts. Based on this research, using the proposed layout can increase the efficiency of moving distances by 40.74%, moving time by 31.25%, and material handling costs by 31.25% within a month.
