Abstract

The COVID-19 epidemic has had an impact on the educational landscape, particularly the move to a remote learning model utilizing internet media. This system has so many issues that we need to do an extensive educational assessment of the subject. In order to create an educational map of the mathematics learning scores of the Islam Majority Student population during the COVID-19 epidemic in SMP Pekanbaru City, Indonesia, this study used spatial analysis. The distribution of the number of patients who tested positively was related to the geographical analysis of the learning score. The majority of the city's western and eastern regions had few patients and did not improve the score for mathematics education, according to a comparison of the two maps. On the other hand, a small percentage of the northern and western regions revealed that the few patients raised the Mathematics education score. A tiny portion of the southern region discovered that the score for mathematics education fell as the proportion of positive patients rose. Furthermore, the fewest patients are found in tree-lined, deserted locations, yet there are still few schools there. In Pekanbaru City, the majority of the schools are still located in urban areas devoid of pleasant open spaces.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze drug abuse as a high-risk behavior through psychological and social perspectives and to examine effective behavioral intervention models in handling drug abuse cases. Drug abuse is considered a multidimensional social problem involving biological, psychological, social, economic, and environmental factors. The study employs a descriptive qualitative approach through literature review and theoretical analysis based on psychological and social science perspectives. The findings indicate that drug abuse is strongly associated with low self-control, cognitive distortion, social pressure, and permissive environments. In neuropsychological perspectives, addictive substances affect the brain reward system, resulting in compulsive behavior and dependence. The study also reveals that effective behavioral interventions should be implemented comprehensively through preventive, promotive, curative, rehabilitative, and structural approaches. Furthermore, collaboration among families, communities, and government institutions is essential to create sustainable social control and rehabilitation systems. Therefore, integrated behavioral intervention is considered one of the most relevant approaches in addressing drug abuse problems systematically and sustainably.

Abstract

Marriage in Islam has noble purposes and wisdom, including creating peace of mind for husband and wife, personal maturity for both, and the birth of a quality generation. Discussions on marriage in the millennial era often encounter new problems, such as the emergence of the term "married by accident" (MBA), more commonly known as a marriage that occurs due to a prior pregnancy. The legal phenomenon regarding the status of children born of adultery is a complex issue and requires in-depth discussion from various perspectives. Statistically, cases of adultery in Indonesia show a significant number, although accurate data is difficult to obtain due to its sensitive nature. Many children born of adultery subsequently face problems regarding their legal status and rights. Furthermore, it also has social and psychological impacts. Children of adultery often face negative social stigma. In some communities, they may receive different treatment than other children born of legal marriage. This can affect their psychological and social development. This is related to various applicable legal provisions, both within the context of state law and Islamic law.

Abstract

The phenomenon behind this study is the lack of consistency in students' worship behavior despite having received Islamic Religious Education at school. This condition shows that students' worship behavior is not only influenced by religious understanding, but also by family environment and internal psychological factors. This study aims to analyze the relationship and influence of religious understanding, family environment, and emotional intelligence on students' worship behavior. The research was conducted at MTs with a population of 66 students, who were also used as samples through total sampling technique. This study is a field survey with a correlational quantitative approach. Data collection was conducted using a Likert scale questionnaire, namely a questionnaire on religious understanding (10 items), family environment (10 items), emotional intelligence (10 items), and students' worship behavior (10 items). Data analysis was performed using correlation and multiple regression tests. The results showed that religious understanding had a positive and significant relationship with students' worship behavior (r = 0.634; p < 0.05), family environment also showed a positive and significant relationship (r = 0.549; p < 0.05), and emotional intelligence had the strongest relationship with students' worship behavior (r = 0.829; p < 0.05). The regression analysis results show that religious understanding, family environment, and emotional intelligence simultaneously have a significant effect on students' worship behavior with a coefficient of determination of R² = 0.714, which means that 71% of the variation in students' worship behavior can be explained by these three variables. This study is expected to serve as a basis for the development of integrated student worship guidance through the strengthening of cognitive, family, and emotional intelligence aspects.

Abstract

This study aims to examine students’ learning difficulties in terms of causal factors, psychological approaches, and handling strategies from the perspective of Islamic education. The research employed a library research method with a qualitative descriptive approach by collecting data from books, scientific journals, and relevant previous studies. The findings indicate that learning difficulties are influenced by both internal and external factors. Internal factors include learning motivation, psychological conditions, learning interest, and students’ cognitive abilities. Meanwhile, external factors include family environment, teachers’ instructional strategies, school environment, and social influences. Psychological approaches used to understand learning difficulties include behavioristic, cognitive, humanistic, and social approaches. The strategies for overcoming learning difficulties are carried out through early identification, differentiated learning, motivational support, learning guidance, and collaboration between teachers and parents. From the perspective of Islamic education, handling learning difficulties should be conducted humanistically by emphasizing compassion, guidance, and the holistic development of students’ potential so that the learning process can run effectively and optimally.

Abstract

Islamic cognitive psychology views human beings as entities possessing rational, emotional, and spiritual dimensions that are integrated through the intellect (ʿaql), soul (nafs), and heart (qalb). Unlike modern cognitive psychology, which emphasizes rational and empirical aspects, Islamic cognitive psychology places the qalb as the center of spiritual and moral consciousness, the intellect as an instrument for thinking and understanding truth, and the soul as the source of impulses, emotions, and behavioral tendencies. This study aims to analyze the concepts of intellect, soul, and heart, as well as their functional relationships in human cognitive processes from an Islamic perspective. The research employs a qualitative approach using a library research method based on the Qur’an, Hadith, and classical as well as contemporary literature on Islamic psychology. The findings indicate that the balance and integration of the intellect, soul, and heart play an important role in shaping consciousness, decision-making, and the quality of human personality. Therefore, Islamic cognitive psychology provides a comprehensive conceptual framework for understanding human mental processes and contributes to the development of mental health concepts grounded in spiritual and transcendental values.
