Abstract

This community service initiative aimed to enhance the economic capacity of marine fish processing MSMEs in Ampenan District, Mataram City, through business management training and mentoring. A participatory and quantitative-descriptive approach was employed, focusing on analyzing cost structures, revenue, income, and business efficiency, as well as increasing product value-added. The project partners were MSMEs producing pindang tongkol (steamed mackerel tuna) and dendeng (fish jerky/locally known as lanter) in the Ampenan Tengah Urban Village. Implementation methods included an initial survey (pre-test), training on production and financial management, technical mentoring on processing and packaging, and a final evaluation (post-test). The results demonstrated an improved understanding of cost efficiency among partners, reflected in the rise of the average R/C ratio from 1.42 to 1.68. Furthermore, skills in product diversification and packaging improved, contributing to a 25% increase in the partners' average net income. Overall, this program successfully demonstrated that strengthening production, optimizing cost efficiency, and enhancing product value-added are effective strategies for boosting the competitiveness and welfare of coastal MSMEs.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the efficiency of the distribution chain and marketing margin of subsidized fertilizers from distributors to farmers in Kayangan District, North Lombok Regency. The research used a quantitative descriptive approach with a case study method. Data were collected through structured interviews, observation, and documentation involving 9 fertilizer retail kiosks selected using purposive sampling. Data analysis was conducted using marketing margin analysis, price efficiency ratio at the retailer level compared to the government's Highest Retail Price (HET), and business efficiency (R/C ratio). The results show that the subsidized fertilizer distribution chain involves distributors, retail kiosks, and farmers, following the RDKK system and the government's Highest Retail Price (HET) regulation. The marketing margin is relatively low, ranging from IDR 68.2 to IDR 218.2 per kg. The average R/C ratio of 5.50 indicates that the fertilizer retail business is economically efficient and highly profitable. The price efficiency ratio at the retailer level shows that most kiosks sell at prices close to or in line with the government's HET, indicating a transparent margin structure. Overall, the subsidized fertilizer distribution chain in the study area can be considered efficient based on marketing margin, price transparency, and business efficiency indicators.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), Domestic Investment (DI), and remittances on per capita income in Indonesia. The study uses panel data from 34 provinces in Indonesia during the 2013–2023 period obtained from Statistics Indonesia (BPS), Bank Indonesia, and the Ministry of Investment/BKPM. The analytical method used is panel data regression with the assistance of EViews 10 software. Model selection was conducted through the Chow test, Hausman test, and Lagrange Multiplier (LM) test, resulting in the Common Effect Model (CEM) as the best model. The results indicate that partially, FDI, DI, and remittances do not have a significant effect on per capita income in Indonesia. Simultaneously, FDI, DI, and remittances also do not significantly affect per capita income. The adjusted R-square value of 0.44% indicates that variations in per capita income are largely influenced by other variables outside the research model. Therefore, the increase in per capita income in Indonesia is not only influenced by investment and remittances, but also by other factors such as human resource quality, infrastructure, and government expenditure.
