Abstract

This study aims to prove and analyze the effect of transformational leadership, work environment and job satisfaction on the work discipline of the employees of the West Pasaman Regency Transportation Service. In this study, several employees of the West Pasaman Regency Transportation Service were used randomly. The analytical method used to prove the truth of the hypothesis is multiple regression and t-statistical testing. The data processing is done by using SPSS. The results of data processing that has been done found that transformational leadership has an effect on discipline, at the stage of testing the second and third hypotheses it was found that the work environment has an effect on employee work discipline while job satisfaction also has a significant effect on job satisfaction of the employees of the Department of Transportation, West Pasaman Regency.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of emotional intelligence on burnout in the area of ​​PT Pegadian (Persero) Padang through work-life balance as a mediator. The population of this study were 43 people,, with all employees in ​​PT Pegadaian (Persero) Area Padang. The sample size for this study was determined using a total sampling appropriate to a population of 43 people. The analytical method used in this research is using SEM analysis with SmartPLS-3. The results of this study indicate that there are: Emotional intelligence has a negative significant effect on burnout. Emotional intelligence has a positive significant effect on work-life balance. Work-life balance has a negative significant effect on burnout. Emotional intelligence has a significant effect on burnout through a balance between work and life as a mediator.

Abstract

This research investigates the influence of Single Tuition Fee System (STS) and Service Quality on Universitas Negeri Padang’s students’ intention to transfer to other universities. It also examines the correlation between Service Quality and STS in influencing the students’ intention to switch. The population of this study was 8,314 non-Bidikmisi Scholarship students from the class of 2013 and 2014. The sample size was determined by using Slovin formula, and it employed 400 students as the samples by using accidental sampling method. The data have been collected by using survey method with the questionnaires as the data collection method. This study analyzes the data by using path and correlation analysis. Before the main analysis, this study has conducted some preliminary analysis such as normality and multicollinearity test. The result of the research shows that: (1) the STS has a significant positive effect on students’ intention to transfer to other universities, (2) Service quality has a significant negative effect on students’ intention to transfer to other universities, and (3) There is a significant correlation between STS and service quality in influencing students’ intention to transfer to other universities. Some limitations and future study have been addressed.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of brand image and brand loyalty on brand equity of liquid milk packaged in Indomilk boxes at Padang City. This type of research is causative. The population of the research is the people of the city of Padang. The Number of research samples was 97 people and selected using purposive sampling technique. The data used is the type of primary data obtained through the distribution of questionnaires to the people of the city of Padang with predetermined criteria. The analytical method is multiple regression analysis using SPSS 16. The results indicate that (1) brand image has a significant effect on brand equity, (2) brand loyalty has a significant effect on brand equity, (3) brand image and brand loyalty have a significant effect on brand equity.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui (1) Menganalisis pengaruh Kepemimpinan Autentik terhadap Perilaku Kerja Inovatif karyawan PT. Kerinci Merangin Hidro. (2) Menganalisis pengaruh Kepempimpinan Transformasional terhadap Perilaku Kerja Inovatif karyawan PT. Kerinci Merangin Hidro. (3) Menguji peran Pemberdayaan psikologis sebagai variabel moderasi dalam memperkuat hubungan antara Kepemimpinan Autentik dengan Perilaku Kerja Inovatif. (4) Menguji peran Pemberdayaan psikologis sebagai variabel moderasi dalam memperkuat hubungan antara Kepemimpinan Transformasional dengan Perilaku Kerja Inovatif. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode survei. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah berdasarkan 12 divisi pada PT. Kerinci Merangin Hidro. Dari perhitungan rumus Slovin, maka didapat jumlah sampel penelitian ini adalah 100 responden. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan kuesioner. Teknik analisa data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis deskriptif dan kuantitatif. Data yang dikumpulkan merupakan data primer dan sekunder yang dapat digolongkan sebagai variabel bebas dan variabel terikat. Pengujian hipotesis dalam penelitian ini menggunakan uji regresi linier berganda. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa: (1) Kepemimpinan autentik berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap perilaku kerja inovatif karyawan PT. Kerinci Merangin Hidro. (2) Kepemimpinan transformasional berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap perilaku kerja inovatif karyawan PT. Kerinci Merangin Hidro, (3) Pemberdayaan psikologis mampu memoderasi pengaruh kepemimpinan autentik terhadap perilaku kerja inovatif karyawan PT. Kerinci Merangin Hidro dan (4) Pemberdayaan psikologis mampu memoderasi pengaruh kepemimpinan transformasional terhadap perilaku kerja inovatif karyawan PT. Kerinci Merangin Hidro

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh emotional intelligence terhadap career adaptability pada Pegawai Negeri Sipil Badan Pusat Statistik Kabupaten Lima Puluh Kota dengan self efficacy sebagai variabel mediasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan survei. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) berbasis Partial Least Squares (PLS) dengan bantuan perangkat lunak SmartPLS 4.0. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa emotional intelligence berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap career adaptability, serta emotional intelligence juga berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap self efficacy. Selain itu, self efficacy memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap career adaptability. Penelitian ini juga menemukan bahwa self efficacy memediasi secara positif dan signifikan hubungan antara emotional intelligence dan career adaptability. Dengan demikian, peningkatan emotional intelligence akan meningkatkan self efficacy, yang pada akhirnya mendorong kemampuan adaptasi karier pegawai BPS Kabupaten Lima Puluh Kota.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect that trust, perceived benefits, and perceived ease of use have on the interest of students at Padang State University in repurchasing products from the OLX market place. The research in question is of the causal variety. Padang State University students constituted the population for the purpose of this study. The William Cochran formula served as the basis for determining the appropriate number of samples for the investigation. Through the use of the method of purposive sampling, a total of one hundred individuals were chosen. Primary data were used for this study, and they were collected by giving out questionnaires to students at Padang State University. The questions on the questionnaires were based on certain criteria that had been established beforehand. Multiple regression analysis carried out in SPSS 20 is the chosen approach to data interpretation. The findings indicate that (1) trust has a significant effect on repurchase interest in the OLX market place; (2) the perception of benefits has a significant effect on repurchase interest in the OLX market place; (3) the perceived ease of use has a significant effect on repurchase interest in the OLX market place; and (4) trust, perceived benefits, and perceived ease of use all have a significant effect on repurchase interest in products sold on the OLX market place.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji pengaruh kompensasi dan pengembangan karier terhadap intensi keluar dengan kepuasan kerja sebagai variabel mediasi pada karyawan tetap di Rumah Sakit Umum Aisyiyah Padang. Dengan menggunakan desain penelitian kausal kuantitatif, data dikumpulkan dari karyawan melalui teknik pengambilan sampel jenuh dan dianalisis dengan Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kompensasi dan pengembangan karier berpengaruh signifikan terhadap intensi keluar, baik secara langsung maupun tidak langsung melalui kepuasan kerja. Hasil ini menyiratkan bahwa peningkatan program kompensasi dan pengembangan karier meningkatkan kepuasan kerja dan mengurangi intensi keluar
