Abstract

Nutrition is one of the main determinants of the quality of human resources. Chronic Energy Deficiency (CED) is one of the four main nutritional problems in Indonesia. Chronic Energy Deficiency (CED) and anemia have a greater risk of illness, especially in the third trimester of pregnancy compared to normal pregnant women. As a result, pregnant women have a greater risk of giving birth to babies with low birth weight, death during childbirth, bleeding, difficult delivery because they are weak and easy to experience health problems. This research uses a survey method with a descriptive approach . The research was carried out in Kaway XVI District, Aceh Barat Regency spread over 4 villages, namely Keude Tanjung Village, Puuk Village, Tanjong Bungong Village and Pungkie Village, from August 7 to December 15, 2021. The population in this study was CED pregnant women as many as 21 people. The results showed that there were more respondents in the status of not working as many as 18 people (85.7%), Mothers who had never had children as many as 11 people (52.4%), Mothers who consumed 15 people (71.4%). , good ANC as many as 15 people (71.4%), income < UMP as many as 19 people (90.5%), age group 20-35 years as many as 16 people (76.2%) and no history of CED as many as 15 people (71.4%).

Abstract

In view of the aftereffects of Septamarini's exploration in the Journal of Nutrition College in 2019 said that mothers with low education and knowledge are at risk of having stunted children. Working mothers cannot take care of their children so this can be one of the risk factors for children to experience stunting and according to the 2019 SSGBI report states that the prevalence of stunting in kids under five, especially in Aceh province is 21.9%, West Aceh district is 24.5% . The high pervasiveness of stunting in youngsters under five in West Aceh is one of the general medical issues that must be addressed so as not to adversely affect the quality of the nation's generation of resources. Research objectives: This review intends to decide the connection among education and mother's occupation on the occurrence of stunting in kids under five years of age in Kawai XVI District. Research method: This examination utilizes insightful exploration technique with cross sectional strategy. The populace in this review were moms who had kids under five in Kawai XIV District. Information investigation in this review incorporates univariate examination, and bivariate examination. Results: The outcomes got that there is a huge connection between maternal schooling and the frequency of stunting p-value: 0.043 furthermore there is no critical connection between mother's work and the frequency of stunting in toddlers with p-value: 0.086.

Abstract

Stunting is a health problem that must be considered and treated early because it has a very long impact on a person's life. Aceh province is one of the provinces with the highest stunting prevalence in Indonesia, which is 37.1%. And the prevalence of stunting in West Aceh from 2015 to 2018 increased from 36.3% to 37.0%. This high prevalence is certainly a public health problem that is considered serious and must be considered, so that future generations of the nation will no longer experience stunting. Objective: to examine the effectiveness of nutrition education interventions to increase knowledge of prospective brides and grooms. Research method: the design used in this research is Quasi-Experimental with one grub pretest and posttest. The sample in this study amounted to 10 prospective brides. Samples were selected using a consecutive sampling technique. Data were analyzed using univariate and bivariate analysis (Wilcoxon test). Results: Based on the results of the bivariate test, it was found that nutrition education was effective in increasing cathin knowledge (pvalue = 0.005).
