Abstract

This study investigates risk mitigation strategies within the label holder supply chain at a company specializing in convection-produced label holders. The House of Risk approach will be used to identify and prioritize potential risks and their sources throughout the supply chain activities, as defined by the Supply Chain Operation Reference (SCOR) method. Common supply chain risks include torn mica, detached stitches, and improper strap lengths. The risk identification process within the label holder supply chain activities resulted in 30 risk events, 27 risk agents, and 13 prioritized risk mitigation actions. These actions include regular routine machine maintenance, employee briefings, identifying backup suppliers, consistent performance monitoring, station coordination before production, machinery and tool upgrades for quality assurance, yearly shutdowns/maintenance, establishing customer contracts, user feedback coordination, training for raw material receiving personnel, implementing periodic product testing, enacting efficient inventory management practices, and improving finished goods quality management.

Abstract

Scheduling is essential in production systems as it manages resource allocation and ensures precise and timely operations. A timber firm produces wooden hammocks and pallets to meet the demand for wooden pallets in the domestic market using a flow shop type production flow and the First Come First Served (FCFS) method. In December 2022, there was excess capacity due to a decrease in demand. Conversely, the company experienced a shortage of capacity in January due to a significant increase in demand for pallets from several companies. This situation resulted in idle time when switching to the next task, indicating that production capability was not being utilized to its full potential. The aim of this research is to provide production scheduling proposals to minimize makespan by applying the Nawaz-Enscore-Ham (NEH) method and the Integer Linear Programming (ILP) method. The proposed production scheduling with a lower makespan has been successfully obtained in this study.

Abstract

A furniture manufacturer, a Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) whose main product is wooden chairs, has experienced problems in its manufacturing process. There are products that do not meet the desired size. The purpose of this research is to identify the most dominant waste through Borda weight calculations, determine the tools used in Value Stream Analysis Tools (VALSAT), find the root causes of the problems, and provide improvement suggestions using a fishbone diagram, as well as prioritize improvement suggestions using the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). The research results using Borda weighting found that the most dominant waste was defect waste with a weight of 0.29. The VALSAT tool selected was Process Activity Mapping (PAM) with a score of 5.94. Improvement suggestions based on the fishbone diagram include work supervision, scheduling equipment and machinery maintenance, raw material checks, the creation of standard operating procedures (SOPs), and human resources training. The improvement suggestion prioritized based on the AHP results was the creation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) with a weight of 0.500. The difference in Process Cycle Efficiency increased from the previous 71% to 76% after the improvements.

Abstract

PT. XYZ adalah sebagai perusahaan yang bergerak di pembangkitan tenaga listrik serta jasa operasi dan pemeliharaan pembangkit. Sumber daya manusia sangat berperan penting dalam keberhasilan suatu organisasi atau industri. Oleh karena itu pekerja wajib mendapatkan perhatian khusus dari industri terutama dalam hal keamanan bekerja yang diatur pada Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja (K3). Pada peneltiian ini dilakukan analisis K3 berupaya identifikasi potensi bahaya, penilaian tingkat risiko dan pengendalian risiko di PT XYZ menggunakan meode HIRADC (Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment and Determining Control). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat beberapa potensi bahaya dalam pekerjaan yang ada di PT. XYZ yaitu pencemaran lingkungan, batu bara mudah terbakar, operator kerja jatuh dari ketinggian, kejatuhan benda dari atas, debu, kelongsoran, pekerja terjatuh, terpeleset, kebisingan, percikan api, dan bahaya listrik dengan tingkat risiko dari rendah, moderat, tinggi, serta ekstrim. Pengendalian risiko yang dilakukan diantaranya eliminasi, membuat pijakan untuk naik, membuat display area kerja, melakukan safety induction  sebelum bekerja, membuat dan melaksanakan SOP, perawatan pada mesin serta menggunakan APD lengkap.

Abstract

Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah mengembangkan potensi ekonomi di Desa Bojongjuruh, Kecamatan Banjarsari, Kabupaten Lebak.  Desa Bojong Juruh memiliki potensi menjadi Desa produsen biobriket berbahan dasar limbah daun kelapa sawit yang menjanjikan. Didukung dengan situasi dan kondisi desa yang komoditas daerahnya ditanami oleh pohon kelapa sawit menyebabkan limbah pelepah kelapa sawit yang berlimpah menjadi potensi baru dalam segi ekonomi jika pemanfaatan limbah kelapa sawit tersebut dimanfaatkan dengan maksimal.  Metode yang digunakan adalah studi kasus, yaitu pendekatan penelitian kualitatif  yang digunakan untuk mengeksplorasi secara mendalam suatu fenomena dalam konteks kehidupan nyata. Dalam hal ini, status sampah yang tidak digunakan oleh masyarakat, pelepah kelapa sawit ini dapat menjadi komoditas baru jika diproduksi menjadi briket yang memiliki daya jual. Dengan peroses pengeringan, pembakaran, penumbukan, percampuran, dan pengeringan kembali menghasilkan produk briket kelapa sawit yang dapat membantu dalam mengembangkan potensi Desa Bojongjuruh. Kegiatan ini merupakan sebuah tindak lanjut dari program kerja kelompok kuliah kerja mahasiswa (KKM) 89 Untirta dalam merealisasikan tema yang dibawa yaitu “pengembangan ekonomi hijau” yang selanjutnya kelompok KKM 89 Untirta diskusikan dan menetapkan pengembangan potensi ekonomi Desa dari pemanfaatan limbah kelapa sawit yang berada di Desa Bojongjuruh. Produk briket ini nantinya bisa menjadi bahan bakar alternatif yang ramah lingkungan karena pemanfaatan limbah tak terpakai dan asap pembakarannya yang memiliki polusi yang rendah.

Abstract

Penjadwalan produksi merupakan penentuan aliran produksi agar sesuai dengan waktu yang ditentukan. Unit CRM PT XYZ menjadwalkan kegiatan produksi menggunakan aturan First Come First Served (FCFS). Perusahaan harus tepat waktu dalam untuk memenuhi permintaan konsumen. Jika perusahaan terlambat dalam pengiriman, maka dikenakan penalti atau biaya keterlambatan. Penelitian dilakukan untuk mengetahui job mana yang dilakukan terlebih dahulu untuk menghasilkan nilai makespan dan waktu alirrata-rata yang terkecil. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode Heuristic, yaitu Campbell, Dudek and Smith (CDS), Algoritma Pour Heuristik, dan Teknik Enumerasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penjadwalan menggunakan metode Campbell, Dudek dan Smith (CDS) menghasilkan makespan 339,16 jam dan waktu alir rata-rata 246,10 jam, Heuristic Pour Algorithm menghasilkan makepan 339,16 jam dan waktu alir rata-rata 237, 25 jam dan Teknik Enumerasi menghasilkan makespan 339,16 jam dan waktu alir rata-rata 230,19 jam. Metode yang dipilih adalah metode Teknik Enumerasi karena menghasilkan makespan dan waktu alir rata-rata terkecil. Kata kunci : CDS, Teknik Enumerasi, Makespan, Heuristik Pour, Penjadwalan

Abstract

Academic services are super important for shaping how students experience their education and feel about their school. The quality of these services, whether in academic departments or laboratories, affects how well students perform, how engaged they are, and what they think of their institution. This study sets out to figure out the lowest gap value, calculate the sigma value and satisfaction level, and suggest ways to improve the academic services in the Department and Laboratory. We used Servqual and Six Sigma methods to dig into this. The results showed that all service attributes, for both the department and the lab, had negative gap values. For department services, the total sigma value was 2.205 with an average satisfaction level of 76.2%. For lab services, it was a sigma of 2.274 and a satisfaction level of 78.04%. The biggest issue for both was the same: the comfort of the study room in the department and the practicum room in the lab, which were rated as super important but had the lowest satisfaction. Using the 5W + 1H method, we came up with practical suggestions to fix what’s making students unhappy.
