Abstract

Poverty after the covid-19 pandemic has increased significantly. Without proper handlers it will have an impact on the distability of security and social life. Religion as a source of teachings and morals has a responsibility in providing solutions to this problem. The purpose of this study was to find this form of responsibility within Islam and Christianity. The two religions have the largest adherents in Indonesia. Knowing the role that is owned determines the spectrum of life in Indonesia. This research uses a type of qualitative research with a normative- sociological approach by taking data on the texts of the Qur'an and the Gospels that talk about philanthropy and understand the verses as religious believers, then see how the verses and texts are implemented in people's lives by both religious believers. The results showed that first, the two religious teachings have a theological basis to alleviate poverty. Second, both have distinctive terms in the form of material assistance, in Islam it is known as zakat, infak, almsgiving, and waqf, while in Christianity it is called collective, karitas, donations. The conclusion of this study is that Islam and Kristin both have a theological foundation that can be used as a basis for alleviating poverty so that their adherents can not only play their own roles, but can cooperate with each other.

Abstract

This study aimed to explore the planning, organization, implementation, and supervision processes of Lazismu Purworejo and to assess its management through the lens of Total Quality Management (TQM). Employing a descriptive qualitative approach, the study involved administrators, managers, beneficiaries (mustahik), and users as subjects. The findings revealed that Lazismu Purworejo underwent a quality audit by the Central Lazismu, achieving commendable results and obtaining an Unqualified Opinion (WTP), categorizing it as “green.” The application of TQM principles in management was evident in the satisfactory service levels for customers, improvements in operational processes, and the collective and collegial involvement of leadership in Lazismu Purworejo. This collaborative approach contributed to the establishment of a robust obligatory system for zakat management.

Abstract

Islam views the holy book as not only regulating matters of worship which are vertical between servants and God. The holy book is also seen as a guide for humans in managing all world affairs, including the world of education. The development of Islamic education today, directly or indirectly, often links its vision to the formation of the ûlul albâb generation (QS. Ali Imran; 190-194). Even though the vision is the same, the implementation of Islamic education often appears to vary. Islamic educational institutions in Indonesia exist in the form of pesantren, boarding schools, madrasah, and also schools. So what is meant by the ûlul albâb generation and how is Islamic education implemented in producing the ûlul albâb generation? This research is intended to find out the views of commentators regarding the meaning of ûlul albâb and at the same time to describe the models of Islamic education that have developed to date in Indonesia. This research is library research and the methods used are the maudlu'i (thematic) interpretation method and the qualitative descriptive method. Based on this research, it can be concluded that ûlul albâb is a self-image that combines academic qualities, spirituality, and charity. In this perspective, Islamic education is a process of improving the quality of humanity in its various dimensions, namely making scholars who believe and do good deeds. To achieve this goal, Islamic education in Indonesia is developing an integrative education model, namely institutional integration and curriculum integration.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to describe strengthening the competence of ISMUBA teachers in learning the Koran. This research is a type of qualitative research with a case study method. To obtain research data, data collection techniques were carried out, where this technique has three stages, namely, observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data analysis and data verification. The results of this research are that strengthening the competence of ISMUBA teachers in learning the Koran at SD Muhammadiyah Kutoarjo is carried out by (1) Organizing training and workshops (2) Carrying out ongoing mentoring and coaching (3) Collaborating with experts and educational institutions (4 ) Carrying out the empowerment of various learning resources and teaching methods (5) Increasing understanding of technology in learning (6) Carrying out evaluation and reflection on learning.

Abstract

Pendahuluan: Program Pengembangan Kewirausahaan SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Wates Kulon Progo dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya penanaman nilai dan keterampilan kewirausahaan sejak usia dini guna mempersiapkan generasi muda menghadapi tantangan global. Studi ini bertujuan untuk membekali pelajar dengan pemahaman dasar kewirausahaan, kreativitas, inovasi, dan kemampuan manajerial melalui pendekatan edukatif yang interaktif dan aplikatif. Metode: Pelatihan, workshop, dan simulasi. Hasil: Adanya peningkatan antusiasme, kepercayaan diri, serta kemampuan berpikir kritis dan kerja sama tim di kalangan peserta. Para pelajar juga mampu menghasilkan produk kreatif yang memiliki potensi nilai jual serta menyusun rencana bisnis dengan struktur yang logis. Kesimpulan: Program ini berhasil menanamkan karakter wirausaha pada pelajar SMP serta memperluas wawasan mereka tentang peran strategis kewirausahaan dalam pembangunan ekonomi lokal. Dengan keberhasilan program ini, SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Wates Kulon Progo berpotensi menjadi pionir dalam pengembangan pendidikan kewirausahaan di tingkat sekolah menengah pertama.

Abstract

Developing learning models that are in line with technological advances can build student values and character through the integration of Al-Quran values. One of the surahs in the Al-Quran is surah Al Ma'un, which is strong in instilling social attitudes or concern for the social environment and is the main basis for the Muhammadiyah movement. This research aims to produce a science learning model using a STEM approach containing Al Ma'un and determine the effectiveness of the STEM approach with Al Ma'un as a learning model in improving students' scientific attitudes and social awareness in Muhammadiyah schools. This research is a development research using the Plomp model. The research is conducted at 3 Muhammadiyah Middle Schools in Purworejo Regency. The feasibility of the learning model is carried out by expert validation in terms of syntax, social system, reaction principle, support system, and instructional impact. To test the effectiveness, it uses data on the percentage of pre- and post-observation results. The research results show that the learning model using the STEM approach containing Al Ma'un is valid and suitable for use. The effectiveness of the learning model is also high, based on the percentage increase in students' social awareness and scientific attitudes. This learning model can become an excellent learning model for Muhammadiyah schools. Apart from that, it can also be applied to Islamic schools in general for character development in aspects of social attitudes and social environment.
