Abstract

Masyarakat pedesaan memilih kayu dan ranting sebagai bahan bakar kegiatan masak-memasak di dapur daripada menggunakan minyak atau bahan bakar lain. Namun karena asap yang ditimbulkan maka pemerintah menyediakan gas elpiji tabung sebagai pengganti bahan bakar kayu dan ranting tersebut. Biaya yang dikeluarkan menjadi bertambah karena gas tersebut harus dibeli, meskipun dengan harga subsidi. Sementara itu ketersediaan kayu, bambu dan ranting banyak tersedia di pedesaan. Cara yang dapat ditempuh ialah mengubah sampah kayu dan ranting menjadi arang. Acara ini diadakan untuk memperkenalkan teknologi reaktor pembuat arang dari bahan sisa-sisa kayu, bambu atau ranting-ranting dengan metode pirolisis. Reaktor dibuat dari drum bekas. Sudah banyak tercipta teknologi tepat guna yang terpublikasi di berbagai media sosial. Teknologi itu perlu diimplementasikan ke pihak yang membutuhkan. Di daerah Mojopurno banyak terdapat sisa-sisa kayu yang tidak terpakai yang umumnya dimanfaatkan secara sederhana sebagai kayu bakar di dapur. Panas yang diperoleh tidak maksimal. Banyak asap yang timbul berdampak tidak bagus bagi penghuni rumah, juga bagi bumi secara keseluruhan karena menambah emisi carbon. Dengan menjadikannya arang, maka pemanfaatan energi dapat maksimum, dan yang juga penting: nyaris tidak menimbulkan asap. Arang yang diperoleh dapat menjadi bahan bakar bersih di dapur, terutama bagi masyarakat di desa Mojopurno.

Abstract

In the batch process, the company uses the same process facilities to produce various types of products. This allows businesses to change production in response to changes in market demand. Batch processes are widely used in industry. In many cases, batch processes provide several benefits over continuous processes, especially when the industry wants to ensure and maintain the quality standards of its products. This paper proposes a behavioral model of a single-stage batch processing system, using the language of system dynamics. When run, the behavioral model will provide an overview of how the system behaves. The system dynamics language is a formulation of a system of ordinary differential equations that is extracted from the real system being studied, in the form of a stock and flow diagram. The computation of this diagram is further implemented using software. Because it is actually a calculus method, the system dynamics language provides output data much faster than discrete simulation modeling. In this paper, the system behavior modeled is mainly loading, processing and unloading activities. The verification results carried out by testing it on two different case examples show that the model can sufficiently describe the behavior of the conceptual system logically so that the model can enrich experimental tool options related to batch production processes in the future.

Abstract

The inventory replenishment process in the warehouse becomes difficult if there is uncertainty. It can cause warehouse performance not to be as expected. The warehouse is an important part of the supply chain subsystem, which smooths the flow of goods from upstream to downstream throughout the system. This paper uses system dynamics modeling to analyze the replenishment of raw materials where there is randomness in availability and reliability and their effects on the delivery lead time of the fleet. The model obtained is much simpler but more robust when compared to the analytical-mathematical model or the discrete-events simulation. Tests on the model show that the model can behave as it should logically. Several experiments were conducted to see how fleet availability's reliability can affect the delay in receiving or delivery lead time. One interesting thing revealed is that reliability does not have to be 100%, but there is a certain minimum threshold for the system to perform well. This is different from availability, which must be 100%.

Abstract

Matematika masih dianggap sebagai mata pelajaran yang sulit oleh sebagian siswa. Untuk matematika tingkat SD dan SMP masih dimungkinkan penyampaiannya berdasarkan pengalaman siswa dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Untuk tingkat SMA, materi volume benda putar masih sulit dibayangkan karena memerlukan pemahaman yang cukup tinggi. Hal ini juga dirasakan siswa kelas XII IPA SMA Santo Bonaventura Madiun. Oleh karena itu, perlu kegiatan belajar yang dapat memberikan pengalaman langsung kepada siswa. Untuk membantu siswa memahami materi volume benda putar yang dianggap sulit, maka dilakukan pendampingan berupa kegiatan belajar bagi siswa kelas XII IPA SMA Santo Bonaventura Madiun. Pembelajaran berbasis teknologi merupakan pembelajaran yang menggunakan penerapan teknologi sehingga materi tidak cukup dibayangkan oleh siswa tetapi membantu siswa memahami dan memiliki gambaran tentang materi tersebut. Metode yang dilakukan yaitu pendampingan belajar di kelas dan laboratorium computer dengan aplikasi GeoGebra dan media alat peraga benda putar. Berdasarkan hasil kegiatan PKM pendampingan belajar materi benda putar dengan aplikasi GeoGebra dan media alat peraga diperoleh peningkatan sebesar 19,25%. Hal ini menunjukkan adanya dampak dari PKM bagi perubahan hasil belajar siswa.

Abstract

Pengendalian kualitas menjadi salah satu faktor penting untuk meminimasi kecacatan produk. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis cacat produk sablon souvenir keramik pada Ina Souvenir. Metode analisis menggunakan pendekatan seven tools yang dapat membantu menganalisis penyebab kecacatan produk. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa permasalahan utama terjadinya cacat produk pada pengerjaan sablon souvenir keramik adalah stiker sobek saat penempelan pada media keramik (41%), warna stiker buram (28%), serta pemasangan stiker yang miring (22%). Permasalahan ini terjadi dikarenakan tenaga kerja yang kurang teliti, penggunaan kertas stiker decal dan tinta printer yang kurang berkualitas, serta pelapisan clear cover coating pada kertas stiker decal yang kurang merata. Usulan perbaikan untuk meminimasi tingkat kecacatan pada sablon souvenir keramik yaitu pengawasan produksi secara lebih intensif, penggunaan kertas stiker dan tinta printer premium, serta proses pelapisan clear cover coating pada kertas decal yang diulang beberapa kali agar stiker tidak mudah sobek

Abstract

Recently, the productivity of porang tuber-based products has been growing well, especially after the Indonesian Government released a policy to prohibit the export of porang plants and their harvested products. One of the porang-based products is in the form of chips. Before processing, the porang tubers must be washed thoroughly to remove soil/dirt from the surface. The conventional washing process of each tuber can take up to 3-5 minutes. Therefore, the purpose of this activity is to design and manufacture porang washing equipment based on centrifuge washing model with rubber vibration. Four stages to carried out the program, i.e. designed and manufactured the washing machine, run the machine in laboratory, training activities to the porang farmers, and evaluation process. From the observation to porang farmers as our partner during the activity, it can be seen that the partners can operate the washing machine well. The results show that the washing process of porang tuber using this technology can save the washing time up to 90% compared to the conventional washing. The surface cleanliness of porang tubers resulted from the developed washing machine is the same as the conventional one. The noise level of the machine has met the requirement of Indonesian Government. It is clear that the usage of  the machine can increase the production capacity of products-based porang tuber. In addition, the use of this technology may promote a more comfortable and healthy work environment due to ergonomic reason, however, based on RULA analysis, the machine is still need to be improved in the future. Overall, the partners were satisfied with this activity and expected to have further programs in the future.

Abstract

Large-scale problems are complex and interrelated. Decisions made in these matters can have unexpected impacts. A systemic approach is a management method that can be used to solve systemic problems. This approach consists of two models, namely a qualitative model and a quantitative model. Qualitative models ensure that the issue is fully understood, while quantitative models allow for analysis of policy scenarios. In this article, the systemic approach methodology is briefly discussed. This methodology begins with a qualitative formulation in the form of a causal-loop diagram. Causal-loop diagram is a diagram that describes the cause-and-effect relationship between variables in a system. Next, this methodology is continued with quantitative formulation in the form of stock-and-flow diagrams. Stock-and-flow diagram is a diagram that depicts the flow and supply of resources in a system. Further computations for experimental purposes (up to policy scenario simulations) can be implemented using Vensim® software. This article discusses the systemic approach methodology up to the experimentation example stage.
