Abstract

With increasing human needs in terms of security , especially in securing the jewelry store then made a design that resembles the display of safety equipment . The working principle of safety equipment on this arduino -based jewelry store is by using infrared sensors to transmit data at the next arduino electric current is converted into mechanical motion of the dc motor , the next shipment via bluetooth character code that is processed in the microcontroller into a form of decision . The method is obtainable design technique that consists of : Identify the need is to identify the needs of what is needed in the manufacture of tools, Analysis of the needs is to analyze all the needs of the tool before the tool design process, The design of the hardware and software that is designing and preparing the materials are to be used to make tools, Preparation of tools that process of unification of all materials to form tools and, Testing tools that test the performance of the tool

Abstract

This research will discuss a system designed to control water use savings. Because water is one of the natural resources of the non-biological. At this point nearly everyone save or hold water in the sump. But, sometimes the water is sure to be closed or turned off so that the water will be wasted over the limit sump. The existence of thisprototype is no more water is wasted down the drain sump over the limit. As for the circuit system used on the prototype consists of a Water Level Sensor as the water sensor, microcontroller (MCU) as Node, Relay switching as that can control the activeand non-active system running, and Solenoid Valve as a valve that cuts or close the stream when the water height is sufficient. So this system aims to control the height of the water in the sump automatically and control the use of water become more efficient

Abstract

The result of applying the embedded system in education for students is successfully applied in university. On the other side, many people in Indonesia use smart equipment’s (Hand phone, Remote), but none of those equipments are used in education. University as the source of knowledge should overcome the problem by encouraging the students to use a technology with learning about it first. Embedded System Practicum Module Design needs a prototype method so that the practicum module that is desired can be made. This method is often used in real life. A prototype considered of a part of a product that expresses logic and physical of external interface that is being displayed and this method will fully depend on user contentment. Embedded System Practicum Module Design is made to increase student comprehension of embedded system course and to encourage students to innovate, so that many technologies will be developed and also to help lecturers deliver course subjects. With this practicum it is hoped that the student comprehension will increase significantly. The result of this research is a decent practicum module, hardware or software that can help students to know better about technology and the course subjects so that it will encourage the students to create an embedded system technology. The result of the test has been done; there is an increase of learning value obtained by 7.8%.

Abstract

This paper proposes a prototype of an improved smart home controller that implements a neural network-based algorithm for enabling the controller to make decisions and act based on the current condition. Unlike previous approaches, this design also utilizes the use of IoT (internet of thing) technology and neural network based-algorithm for developing the controller. Since a smart home is equipped with various sensors, actuators, smart appliances, and mobile terminals, all of these devices need to be connected to the Internet to be able to communicate and provide services for its occupants. The construction of the proposed controller is carried out through several procedures, i.e. the implementation of the ADALINE (adaptive linear) as the neural network method, the design of the smart home controller prototype, and the validation process using mean average percentage error (MAPE) calculation. This prototype integrates functionalities of several household appliances into one application controlled by a smartphone. ADALINE is applied as an algorithm to predict output when the controller is in automatic mode. Although the obtained accuracy value is still not satisfactory, the value is bound to change when testing on more data. The work published in this paper may encourage the implementation of smart technology in more households in Indonesia.

Abstract

One consequence of a visually impaired (blind) person is a lack of ability in the activities related to the orientation and mobility. Blind person uses a stick as a tool to know the objects that surround him/her.The objective of this research is to develop a tool for blind person which is able to recognize what object in front of him/her when he/she is walking. An attached camera will obtain an image of an object which is then processed using template matching method to identify and trace the image of the object. After getting the image of the object, furthermore calculate and compare it with the data training. The output is produced in the form of sound that in accordance with the object. The result of this research is that the best slope and distance for the template matching method to properly detect silent objects is 90 degrees and 2 meters.

Abstract

Safety is an important thing in driving. Security in driving is aimed at the way of driving the vehicle or the security on the vehicle itself. Vehicle assets, especially cars, that are quite expensive or luxurious assets Therefore, safety protections for such vehicles are necessary. Taxi is a valuable asset for the company. To maintain the asset, a good security system is needed. With a good security system, the asset will be protected and the investments invested will not be reduced. By using the prototype method, a tool will be made in accordance to the wishes of the user. The Encludean distance method is used to calculate the distance of the incident and the nearest police station. By using the progress of technology, the progress can be utilized to help the security of taxi owned by a company or personal (online). The purpose of this study is to create a tool that can secure the taxi and its driver of crimes that might occur. IoT (internet of things) can help to secure a taxi since it is able to locate the incident’s location precisely and accurately.

Abstract

Data from the Central Bureau of Statistics shows that during the first quarter of 2014 to 2019, the tendency of Indonesian crayfish export increases by an average of 3.54% in 2019 and reach 7.09 million USD. This number still fails to meet the global market demand caused by poor water quality due to cultivators’ lack of experience and education. Two parameters measured in water quality are temperature and pH. Thus, a device was made using IoT to maintain those conditions in order to increase the viability of the crayfish in the pond. The perceptron method is used to classify water quality based on those parameters. To send the data, ESP8266 is used as an intermediary for Arduino and cloud server. The result is that the information about the ponds’ condition can be seen via a smartphone. The method gives a value of 98.06% accurate in determining water quality.

Abstract

Blindness is a general term used for the condition of someone who experiences a disturbance or obstacle in their sense of sight. In general, blind people walk with special canes to help them walk and increase their safety. However, there are problems that arise when blind people walk home or go from a path that they are used to or to a place where they have never traveled. There is the possibility that blind people get lost and find it difficult to determine their way home because they don't know where they are going. For this reason, it is necessary to create a system that can monitor their whereabouts in real time and provide directions, provide information on the steps to their destination and they can also notify their families and related foundations if they are in trouble. For this reason, it is necessary to make an integrated tool with the haar cascade method to detect faces to find out whether there are humans or other obstacles that can shows 94% accuracy, in addition a global positioning system (GPS) can help blind people to show the direction of the destination.

Abstract

Ketepatan waktu, biaya, dan kualitas adalah hal yang menjadi perhatian dalam perencanaan proyek yang tertuang dalam penjadwalan proyek. Dalam pengerjaan proyek muncul beberapa masalah dalam perencanaan dan pengendalian proyek, yaitu sulitnya dipetakan jalur kritis dari suatu kegiatan. Pada PT. Bandar Abadi keterlambatan proyek sering terjadi akibat tertundanya penyelesaian kegiatan-kegiatan kritis dan berimbas pada biaya proyek semakin besar. Pada penelitian ini digunakan metode Critical Path Method (CPM) dan Project Evaluation Review Technic (PERT) yang digunakan membantu project manager dalam merencanakan dan mengendalikan proyek, di mana metode ini dapat membantu project manager dalam menentukan kegiatan kritis dan mengetahui estimasi waktu penyelesaian pada sebuah proyek. Hasil akhir yang didapatkan dalam penelitian ini adalah didapatkannya jalur kritis untuk pembangunan kapal dilengkapi dengan sistem informasi berbasis web yang dapat digunakan project manager untuk mengelola proyek pembangunan kapal dengan menggunakan metode PERT dan CPM, dapat membantu dalam mengelola proyek pembangunan kapal di PT. Bandar Abadi, menurunkan risiko keterlambatan proyek, dan mencegah munculnya biaya proyek akibat keterlambatan.

Abstract

Pengabdian masyarakat yang dilakukan pada UPT (Unit Pelaksana Teknis) Laboratorium Dan Perlindungan Tanaman Perkebunan Dinas Pertanian Provinsi Bali dilakukan untuk memberikan pelatihan tingkat lanjut kepada para karyawan dalam memanfaatkan Microsoft Office terutama Microsoft Excel untuk pendataan informasi tentang data gejala penyakit dan jenis penyakit pada suatu tanaman serta pelatihan tingkat lanjut tentang pemanfaatan Adobe Flash untuk membuat produk multimedia. UPT Laboratorium Dan Perlindungan Tanaman Perkebunan Dinas Pertanian Provinsi Bali merupakan sebuah lembaga yang berada dibawah Kementrian Pertanian yang fungsinya melakukan penelitian dan pendataan terkait dengan hasil pertanian dan penyakit beserta gejala yang terdapat pada tanaman. Dengan adanya permasalahan kesulitan dalam pendataan tanaman sesuai kategori, jenis dan penyakitnya maupun kesulitan dalam hal pembuatan multimedia dengan adobe flash, maka perlu diadakan pelatihan yang terkait dengan pemanfaatan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi guna menunjang pekerjaan mereka. Hasil dari pelatihan ini adalah para karyawan dapat menguasai cara melakukan penyimpanan data yang rapi dan terstruktur dalam berkas Microsoft Excel dan pemakaian Adobe Flash.
