Abstract

This reseach aims at finding out a significant difference of students cognitive learning outcomes of Natural Science subject between the Contextual and Conventional Learning. This quasi experiment applied the two group post-test only design. The samples were students of class VA and VB of SDN 09 Belakang Balok, Bukittinggi. 30 students of class VA acted as the experimental class, which was taught using the contextual learning. Meanwhile, 30 students of class VB acted as the control class that was taught using the conventional learning. They were selected using the simple random sampling technique. Based on the t-test of the students post-test scores, it was found that tcount 4,74> ttable 1,67155 α 0,05. It means the contextual learning isi better compared to the conventional one.Keywords: the contextual learning, the conventional learning, students cognitive learning outcomes of natural science subject.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan produk audiovisual digital Canva yang berfungsi sebagai media pembelajaran inovatif pada kurikulum fisika. Fokus khusus ditempatkan pada pada materi optika geometri. Penelitian dan pengembangan dilakukan dengan model pengembangan decide, design, develop and evaluate (DDD-E) untuk merancang dan mengembangkan produk, termasuk media. Instrumen yang digunakan pada penelitian ini berupa angket untuk uji validasi media dan uji praktikalitas media. Hasil validasi yang diperoleh dari kedua validator menunjukkan bahwa media, desain dan isi materi memperoleh skor masing-masing sebesar 80, yang menunjukkan bahwa data bersifat valid. Selain itu, hasil evaluasi peserta didik yang terdiri dari peserta didik SMA/SMK/MA setingkat dan mahasiswa menunjukkan kriteria yang digunakan cukup tepat, dengan skor rata-rata 78,43% pada kategori aspek visual, 75% pada kategori aspek penggunaan media, 75% pada aspek pemahaman materi, 74,90% pada aspek motivasi belajar dan 75,05% pada aspek interaktivitas pada jumlah percobaan yang terbatas. Menurut standar yang ditetapkan dalam evaluasi media, desain, dan isi materi, media pembelajaran fisika berbasis Canva pada materi optika geometri cukup layak digunakan dalam kegiatan pembelajaran dikelas.

Abstract

Healthcare service queues are one of the most common discrete event problems encountered in hospitals, including the service for obtaining the Physical, Mental, and Drug-Free Health Certificate at RSUD dr. Abdoer Rahem Situbondo. This study aims to model the queuing system for that service using the Petri Net and Max-Plus Algebra approaches in order to estimate optimal service time. The secondary data used in this research is the service process flow of Session 1 at 08:00 AM, obtained from the official website of RSUD dr. Abdoer Rahem Situbondo. The methods employed include literature review, Petri Net modeling, Max-Plus Algebra formulation, and simulation using PIPE 4.3.0 software. The results show that the Petri Net model successfully represents the service sequence systematically, and the Max-Plus Algebra model can estimate the service time accurately. If a patient arrives at 08:00 AM, the estimated total time required to complete the entire process is 195 minutes or 3 hours and 15 minutes, indicating that the patient will complete the process at 11:15 AM. The findings of this research can serve as a reference for improving administrative service efficiency in hospitals, particularly in processing the Physical, Mental, and Drug-Free Health Certificate at RSUD dr. Abdoer Rahem Situbondo.

Abstract

Profitabilitas merupakan indikator utama kinerja perusahaan yang mencerminkan kemampuan menghasilkan laba dari sumber daya yang dimiliki. Dalam sektor perbankan, rasio profitabilitas menjadi pertimbangan penting bagi investor dalam menilai prospek saham suatu bank. Penelitian ini menganalisis pengaruh profitabilitas terhadap harga saham bank umum konvensional (Persero) di Indonesia serta mengintegrasikan hasilnya ke dalam pemodelan stokastik Geometric Brownian Motion (GBM) untuk memproyeksikan dinamika harga saham. Metode penelitian yang digunakan bersifat kuantitatif eksplanatori dengan data sekunder dari empat bank Persero (BBNI, BBRI, BMRI, BBTN) selama periode 2020–2024. Analisis hubungan kausal dilakukan menggunakan Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) berbasis SmartPLS 3.0, sedangkan pemodelan stokastik dilakukan melalui estimasi parameter drift (μ) dan volatilitas (σ) dalam model GBM. Simulasi Monte Carlo digunakan untuk menghasilkan proyeksi harga saham di bawah berbagai skenario profitabilitas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ROA berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap harga saham (β = 1,058; p = 0,033 < 0,05), sedangkan ROE tidak signifikan (p = 0,179 > 0,05). Parameter drift dan volatilitas yang diperoleh kemudian digunakan dalam simulasi GBM untuk menggambarkan fluktuasi stokastik harga saham hingga tahun 2030. Analisis sensitivitas menunjukkan bahwa perubahan ±1% pada ROA dapat memengaruhi probabilitas harga mencapai target hingga ±8%. Hasil ini menegaskan bahwa integrasi analisis fundamental dengan model stokastik dapat memberikan wawasan yang lebih realistis dalam memahami dinamika harga saham perbankan.

Abstract

This article aims to conduct an in-depth review of various research findings that examine the influence of the contextual problem-based learning (PBL) model on elementary school students’ mathematical reasoning abilities. Problem-based learning positions students at the center of the learning process by presenting problems closely related to real-life situations, thereby encouraging students to explore authentic contexts, connect relevant information, and construct logical and systematic solution strategies. The research method employed is a literature review, with data sources consisting of national and international journals as well as scientific articles relevant to the topic of study. The results of the literature review indicate that the implementation of the PBL model consistently has a positive impact on improving students’ mathematical reasoning abilities, including the ability to identify patterns, formulate generalizations, evaluate the validity of arguments, and connect previously learned mathematical concepts. In addition, problem-based learning has been proven to enhance students’ active engagement, learning independence, and self-confidence in solving mathematical problems. Learning becomes more meaningful because students do not merely follow examples provided by the teacher but are directly involved in the processes of investigation and problem solving. Overall, this article concludes that the contextual problem-based learning model has a significant influence on improving mathematical reasoning abilities and the quality of mathematics learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

Objective: This study aims to examine the effect of differentiated learning on the learning engagement and self-confidence of students enrolled in the Elementary Teacher Education Program (PGSD). Specifically, the study focuses on how differentiated instruction facilitates active participation, supports the development of interpersonal skills, and enhances the professional competencies of pre-service teachers. Research Method: This study employed a quasi-experimental design using a Pretest–Posttest Control Group Design. The sample consisted of 60 PGSD students, who were divided into an experimental group receiving differentiated learning instruction and a control group receiving conventional instruction. Data were collected through questionnaires measuring learning engagement and self-confidence. The data were analyzed using independent samples t-tests and Multivariate Analysis of Variance (MANOVA) to determine the effect of the instructional treatment on both dependent variables. Research Findings: The results indicate that the experimental group demonstrated a statistically significant improvement in both learning engagement and self-confidence compared to the control group. Learning engagement showed a substantial increase from pretest to posttest scores, as did self-confidence. These findings confirm the effectiveness of differentiated learning strategies in fostering student involvement, active participation, and confidence within the learning process. Novelty: This study highlights that differentiated learning is effective in higher education, particularly in Elementary Teacher Education programs. The findings show that differentiated instruction enhances social analysis skills, including identifying classroom diversity, analyzing student interactions, and proposing pedagogical solutions, while also fostering creativity and critical thinking to support the professional competence of pre-service teachers.
