Abstract

SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Kota Batu sudah melaksanakan Kurikulum Merdeka secara mandiri dengan memilih opsi mandiri belajar yang didampingi Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang. Masalah yang dihadapi adalah belum semua guru matapelajaran dapat mengembangkan modul ajar Kurikulum Merdeka dan belum semua guru matapelajaran terampil melaksanakan pembelajaran berdasarkan Kurikulum Merdeka. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk mendampingi guru matapelajaran dalam mengembangkan modul ajar Kurikulum Merdeka dan agar guru terampil melaksanakan pembelajaran berdasarkan Kurikulum Merdeka. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan dengan mekanisme pelatihan dan pendampingan. Masalah diatasi dengan solusi berupa melalui FGD, dengan menerapkan kurikulum merdeka mandiri belajar dalam mengembangkan modul ajar tanpa membuat silabus dan alur tujuan pembelajaran (ATP) dan semua guru mempraktikkan modul ajar yang sudah dibuat. Kegiatan pengabdian dapat berlangsung sesuai target, ditunjukkan dengan hasil bahwa semua guru dapat mengembangkan modul ajar Kurikulum merdeka dan guru terampil melaksanakan pembelajaran berdasarkan kurikulum merdeka berupa video pembelajaran. Assistance in the Development of the Independent Curriculum Teaching Module and Its Implementation at SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Batu City Abstract SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Batu City has implemented the Independent Curriculum independently by choosing the independent study option accompanied by the University of Muhammadiyah Malang. The problem faced is that not all subject teachers can develop Independent Curriculum teaching modules and not all subject teachers are skilled in implementing learning based on the Independent Curriculum. This activity aims to assist subject teachers in developing Independent Curriculum teaching modules and so that teachers are skilled in implementing learning based on the Independent Curriculum. This activity is carried out with training and mentoring mechanisms. The problem was overcome with a solution in the form of FGD, by implementing an independent independent learning curriculum in developing teaching modules without creating a syllabus and learning objective flow (ATP) and all teachers practicing the teaching modules that had been created. Service activities can take place according to targets, shown by the results that all teachers can develop independent curriculum teaching modules and skilled teachers carry out learning based on the independent curriculum in the form of learning videos.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan dan peningkatan keterampilan menulis kalimat efektif melalui model TTW. Aktivitas guru pada siklus I mencapai 89,28% meningkat pada siklus II menjadi 93,75%, aktivitas siswa pada siklus I mencapai 82,14% meningkat pada siklus II menjadi 90,62%. Ketuntasan klasikal  hasil keterampilan menulis kalimat efektif siswa pada siklus I mencapai 34,28% dan pada siklus II 68,57%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam memahami perbandingan pecahan siswa kelas III SDN Sumbersari 1 Kota Malang dengan menggunakan media origami dan melalui model pembelajaran think pair share. Jenis penlitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas. Penelitian ini menggunakan model Kemmis dan Taggart. Subyek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas III SDN Sumbersari Kota Malang yang berjumlah 35 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik observasi, tes, dan dokumenter. Instrumen penelitian mengunakan lembar observasi dan tes tulis. Teknik analisis data meggunakan rumus rerata yang hasilnya disampaikan dalam bentuk deskriptif kualitatif. Berdasarkan hasil yang diperoleh dapat disimpulkan bahwa, kemampuan siswa dalam memahami konsep perbandingan pecahan mengalami peningkatan pada setiap siklusnya. Siklus I diperoleh keberhasilan sebesar 77,14 % , sedangkan pada siklus II sebesar 88,57%. Penggunaan media origami dan melalui model pembelajaran TPS dapat diterapkan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep perbandingan pecahan untuk siswaSD  kelas III

Abstract

This study aims to determine the student’s perceptions about utilization of various type of learning media to engage students’ learning interest. Data collection using a survey with a population of all Mathematics Education and Biology Education students of the 2022 and 2023 intakes, with a sample size of 60 students using stratified random sampling. This survey is related to perceptions related to students learning interest based on based on various of media and students learning interest  from Mitchel (1993), consists of 15 items with 5 aspects such as attention, curiosity, excitement, meaningfulness, and involvement. The results showed that mostly students choose games media and games application, with 25 students (41,6%) gave highest score, mean that games media gave those students more attention because of the attraction in it, while another learning media  that showed less of interest, were picture with 2 students (3,3%), power point with 6 students (10%), and learning torso with 8 students (13,3%), because visual media not fully explaining the complex material.Another survey about learning interest showed that excitement aspect, game applications gave the highest score, which was 36.6%, chosen by 22 students, followed by game media chosen by 20 students (33.3%). In the meaningfulness and involvement aspects, the learning module gave the highest score, which was 13.3% (8 students) and 35% (21 students), this is because the learning module accommodates students' independent learning so that learning becomes more meaningful. So learning modules and games based media mostly can engage students’ learning interest in education department.

Abstract

SMP Muhammadiyah 02 Kota Batu pada tahun ajaran 2022-2023 mulai menerapkan Kurikulum Merdeka dengan opsi mandiri belajar, yang dimulai pada mata pelajaran IPA dan Matematika. Pada tahap awal, hanya guru IPA dan Matematika yang mengembangkan modul ajar, sementara mata pelajaran lainnya tetap menggunakan Kurikulum 2013. Pada tahun ajaran 2023-2024, penyusunan modul ajar telah berhasil dilakukan untuk mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia, IPS, dan Seni Budaya (Seni Rupa) di kelas 7. Dokumen modul ajar menunjukkan penerapan Project-based Learning (PjBL), namun hanya satu modul yang secara jelas mendeskripsikan tahapan PjBL. Analisis terhadap modul ajar menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar guru belum konsisten dalam menyusun modul ajar sesuai dengan tahapan PjBL, yang disebabkan oleh pemahaman yang kurang mendalam terhadap model pembelajaran ini serta keterbatasan sumber daya. Oleh karena itu, pendampingan dalam implementasi PjBL sangat dibutuhkan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi siswa dalam ranah kognitif, afektif, dan psikomotor. Metode pengabdian ini meliputi pelatihan dan pendampingan, dengan 16 guru dan Kepala Sekolah SMP Muhammadiyah 02 Kota Batu sebagai peserta. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan pemahaman yang baik dengan rata-rata nilai posttest adalah 9, serta pelaksanaan PjBL yang benar pada enam mata pelajaran yang dipilih. Mentoring the Implementation of the Project-based Learning Model to Improve the Competence of Students at SMP Muhammadiyah 02 Batu Abstract SMP Muhammadiyah 02 Kota Batu in the 2022-2023 academic year began implementing the Merdeka Curriculum with independent learning options, starting in Science and Mathematics subjects. In the initial stage, only Science and Mathematics teachers developed teaching modules, while other subjects continued to use the 2013 Curriculum. In the 2023-2024 academic year, the preparation of teaching modules has been successfully carried out for the subjects of Indonesian, Social Studies, and Arts and Culture (Fine Arts) in grade 7. The teaching module documents show the implementation of Project-based Learning (PjBL), but only one module clearly describes the stages of PjBL. Analysis of the teaching modules shows that most teachers are not consistent in compiling teaching modules according to the stages of PjBL, which is caused by a lack of deep understanding of this learning model and limited resources. Therefore, assistance in implementing PjBL is needed to improve student competence in the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains. This service method includes training and mentoring, with 16 teachers and the Principal of SMP Muhammadiyah 02 Batu City as participants. The training results showed a good understanding with an average score of 9, as well as the correct implementation of PjBL in six selected subjects.

Abstract

Kemampuan guru dalam menyusun instrument Asesmen Kompetensi Minimum (AKM)  belum dimiliki oleh guru SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Batu. Untuk itu perlu pendampingan tentang penyusunan instrumen soal berbasis AKM. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk melakukan pendampingan peningkatan mutu satuan pendidikan melalui penyusunan instrumen utama di SMP Muhammadiyah 02 Kota Batu. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan yang dilakukan adalah: (1) Pelatihan tentang pengembangan instrumen AKM, Survei Karakter, dan Survei Lingkungan Belajar, dan (2) Pendampingan tentang pengembangan instrumen AKM. Adapun rincian kegiatan adalah sebagai berikut. Berdasarkan serangkaian kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat melalui pendampingan pengembangan instrumen AKM, Survei Karakter, dan Survei Lingkungan Belajar pada guru SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Batu, telah dilaksanakan dengan baik. Kegiatan ini meliputi pelatihan instrumen AKM, Survei Karakter, dan Survei Lingkungan Belajar dan pendampingan penyusunan instrumen AKM berciri literasi membaca dan literasi numerasi. Guru SMP Muhammadiyah 02 Batu dapat mengembangkan instrumen dalam bentuk kumpulan soal berciri literasi membaca dan numerasi, yang selanjutnya instrumen ini dapat digunakan sebagai panduan pemberian tugas pada siswa dalam proses pembelajaran guna menyiapkan AKM. Produk instrumen yang dihasilkan memuat soal literasi membaca dan literasi numerasi pada matapelajaran IPA, Matematika, IPS, Bahasa Indonesia, Bahasa Inggris, Bahasa Indonesia dan Pendidikan Agama Islam Assistance in improving the quality of education units through the preparation of three main instruments at SMP Muhammadiyah 02 Batu City  The teacher's ability to develop the Minimum Competency Assessment (AKM) instrument is not yet owned by the teachers of SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Batu. For this reason, assistance is needed in the preparation of AKM-based question instruments. This activity aims to provide assistance to improve the quality of education units through the preparation of the main instrument at SMP Muhammadiyah 02 Batu City. The methods of implementing the activities carried out are (1) Training on the development of AKM instruments, Character Surveys, and Learning Environment Surveys, and (2) Assistance in the development of AKM instruments. The details of the activities are as follows. Based on a series of community service activities through assistance in developing AKM instruments, Character Surveys, and Learning Environment Surveys for SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Batu teachers, have been carried out well. These activities include training on AKM instruments, Character Surveys, and Learning Environment Surveys, and assistance in the preparation of AKM instruments characterized by reading literacy and numeracy literacy. Teachers of SMP Muhammadiyah 02 Batu can develop instruments in the form of a collection of questions characterized by reading literacy and numeracy, which then can be used as a guide for giving assignments to students in the learning process to prepare AKM. The resulting instrument product contains reading literacy and numeracy literacy questions in science, mathematics, social studies, Indonesian, English, Indonesian, and Islamic religious education subjects

Abstract

Kemampuan untuk mengimplementasikan kurikulum prototipe  belum dimiliki oleh guru SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Batu, untuk itu perlu pelatihan dan pendampingan. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk melakukan Pendampingan persiapan dan pelaksanaan kurikulum prototipe di SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Kota Batu, Jawa Timur. Metode yang digunakan dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan adalah pelatihan dan pendampingan. Mitra kegiatan ini adalah 16 guru dan 1 kepala sekolah. Berdasarkan serangkaian kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat melalui pendampingan perencanaan dan  pelaksanaan kurikulum prototipe di SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Batu dapat disimpulkan bahwa (1) para guru telah menguasai penyusunan perencanaan pembelajaran dalam kurikulum prototipe/kurikulum merdeka dan (2) Guru terampil melaksanakan pembelajaran berdasarkan kurikulum prototipe/merdeka. Kemampuan tersebut dimiliki dengan mengakomodir  (a) penguasaan penggunaan Pembelajaran Berbasis Projek untuk pengembangan soft skills dan karakter, (b) penguasaan pembelajaran yang fokus pada materi esensial sehingga ada waktu cukup untuk pembelajaran yang mendalam bagi kompetensi dasar seperti literasi dan numerasi, (c) penguasaan  fleksibilitas bagi guru untuk melakukan pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan kemampuan murid (teach at the right level) dan melakukan penyesuaian dengan konteks dan muatan lokal. Assistance in Preparation and Implementation Prototype Curriculum at Muhammadiyah Middle School 02 stone city  SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Batu teachers do not have the ability to implement a prototype curriculum, for this they need training and assistance. This activity aims to provide assistance in the preparation and implementation of the prototype curriculum at SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Batu City, East Java. The method used in implementing the activity is training and mentoring. The partners for this activity were 16 teachers and 1 school principal. Based on a series of community service activities through planning and implementing prototype curriculum assistance at SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Batu, it can be concluded that (1) the teachers have mastered the preparation of lesson plans in the prototype/independence curriculum and (2) the teachers are skilled in carrying out learning based on the prototype/independence curriculum . This capability is acquired by accommodating (a) mastery of using Project-Based Learning for the development of soft skills and character, (b) mastery of learning that focuses on essential material so that there is sufficient time for in-depth learning of basic competencies such as literacy and numeracy, (c) mastery flexibility for teachers to carry out learning according to students' abilities (teach at the right level) and make adjustments to the context and local content.

Abstract

Indonesia is an agricultural country with the majority of the population working in the agricultural sector. According to the Central Statistics Agency of Indonesia, rice production in 2022 is estimated at 9.58 million tons, down by 0.04 million tons or 0.41 percent compared to 2021 which was around 9.62 million tons. The rise and fall of rice production was influenced by several problems. One of the causes of the delay in rice production is leaf blight caused by Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzae reducing rice yields by 30-40%. This research was to examine the use of teak leaf extract in inhibiting the growth of X. oryzae bacteria. The results showed that there was an effect of various concentrations of teak leaf extract (Tectona grandis) on the inhibition zone of X. oryzae. The effective concentration of teak leaf extract in inhibiting Xanthomonas oryzae bacteria is 20%.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence and achievement of competency from the PjBL learning model with the Experiential learning approach. The research method used is quantitative Pre-experiment through the One Group Pretest-Posttest design approach. The study was conducted on students of class VIII IPA SMP Muhammadiyah 02 Batu City. The instruments used were pretest and posttest assessments. In data analysis using paired t-test. The results showed that the application of the PjBL model with the Experiential learning approach had a significant influence on learning outcomes (Sig = 0.001 0.05) and student competency achievement which can be seen based on increased learning outcomes, achievement of attitude values and skills. Overall, students also get memorable experiences during the learning stages of the PjBL learning model through the Experiential learning approach.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the implementation of Project Based Learning through experiential learning, teacher and student perspectives on the implementation of learning, and to determine the achievement of student competencies. The method used is qualitative with systematic observation instruments, non-systematic observations, surveys to students, and interviews with teachers. The results of the study showed that the perspectives of teachers and students were considered positive. The teacher's perspective stated that students were involved in learning that encouraged student activeness so that real experiences were formed. While the student perspective, it was conveyed that they felt excited, happy, motivated, and experienced direct involvement that allowed understanding of the material to be achieved. The implementation of learning had an impact on the achievement of student competencies with the results of an increase in knowledge scores (the average increased from 59.03 to 77.55), as well as an increase in attitude and skill scores, with an average skill reaching 83.33 and the majority of students achieving A and B scores.
