Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine (1) describe the interpersonal communication of librarians in the Library of Poltekkes Kemenkes Padang. (2) describe the level of user satisfaction at the Poltekkes Kemenkes Padang Library. (3) describe the effect of librarian interpersonal communication on the level of library satisfaction at the Poltekkes Kemenkes Padang Library in the digital era. This research is a type of quantitative research with descriptive methods, data obtained through distributing questionnaires at the Poltekkes Kemenkes Padang Library. The population in this study was visitor data from January to December 2022 with a sample size of 99 respondents. Sampling is determined based on the Simple Random Sampling Technique which is a sampling technique that is carried out randomly without regard to the strata in the population. The results of this study are (1) interpersonal communication of librarians at the Poltekkes Kemenkes Padang Library is classified as high with an average value of 3.07 on a good interval scale. (2) user satisfaction at the Poltekkes Kemenkes Padang Library is high with an average of 3.19 on a good interval scale. (3) Librarian interpersonal communication affects library satisfaction at the Poltekkes Kemenkes Padang Library, where the Fhitung value (39.747)> Ftabel (3.94) at a significant level of 5% which states that there is a significant influence between librarian interpersonal communication on library satisfaction at the Poltekkes Kemenkes Padang Library.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to describe whether there is an influence of brand image on users' visiting decisions at the Archives and Library Service of West Sumatra Province. The type of research used is quantitative research with a descriptive approach. The population in this research is all users who visit the West Sumatra Province Archives and Library Service in 2023, namely 48,759 people. The sampling technique used was simple random sampling. The number of samples in this research was 100 samples. In this study, researchers used a questionnaire as an instrument. The data collection technique was carried out by distributing questionnaires to all research samples. The results of this research show that: first, brand image has a total average score of 4.28 which is categorized as very good. So it can be said that the library brand image at the West Sumatra Province Archives and Library Service is very good for users. Second, the decision to visit has a total average score of 4.35, which means it is classified as very good. So it can be said that the user's decision to visit the brand image is very good for the user. Third, the library brand image has an influence of 31.3% on the decision to visit users at the Archives and Library Service of West Sumatra Province, while the remaining 68.7% is influenced by other factors not examined in this research.

Abstract

This study aims to describe: (1) achievement of objectives in the implementation of digital library application services at the Padang State University Library; (2) integration in the implementation of digital library application services at the Padang State University Library; (3) adaptation to the application of digital library application services at the Padang State University Library.This research is a qualitative research with descriptive method. The research instrument used is an interview guideline. The data collection techniques used in this research are observation, interview, and the documentation. The data analysis are data collection, data reduction, data presentation, dan conclusions. Source triangulation was used to test the validity of the data in this study. The results of this study are as follows. First, the achievement of goals in the implementation of digital library application services at the Padang State University Library has not been maximized, limited membership quotas and the unavailability of applications on non-Android devices cause uneven access for users. Second, the integration of the implementation of digital library application services at the Padang State University Library is running quite well, the application is easy to use and also a different system from the traditional library system owned by Padang State University so that it is difficult to integrate the application service. Third, adaptation to the application of digital library application services at the Padang State University Library has not been maximized, the collections available in the application have not adjusted to the target users, in this case Padang State University students.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe how the influence of social inclusion-based library services on improving umkm using the tqm model at the Library and Archives Service of Dharmasraya Regency. The type of research used is quantitative research with a descriptive approach. The population in this study were umkm actors and resource persons/participants who had participated in social inclusion program training activities at the Dharmasraya Regency Library and Archives Office, namely 378 people. The sampling technique used was simple random sampling. The number of samples in this study were 80 samples using the Slovin formula with a precision of 10%. In this study, researchers used a questionnaire as an instrument. The data collection technique was carried out by distributing questionnaires to all research samples with data analysis techniques including normality test, correlation test, linearity test, T test, and coefficient of determination test. The results showed that social inclusion services had a positive and significant effect on increasing umkm. The social inclusion variable (X) has an influence on increasing umkm (Y) by 59.7% while the remaining 40.3% is influenced by other factors not examined in this study.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of reading habits on student learning motivation at the Faculty of Languages and Arts, Padang State University. This research was carried out using a survey method with a quantitative type of research. The variables in this research are reading habits (X) and learning motivation (Y). The population of this study was 1326 people. The sample was taken from 100 respondents, namely students from the Faculty of Languages and Arts, Padang State University, class of 2022. The sampling technique used was simple random sampling. Data was collected using a questionnaire via Google Form with a Likert scale.Based on the research results, it is known that the average score for reading habits of students at the Faculty of Languages and Arts, Padang State University is 3.05 in the good category and the average score for learning motivation is 3.42 in the very good category. The influence of reading habits on student learning motivation at the Faculty of Languages and Arts, Padang State University with a significance of 0.00 < 0.05 with Fcount 169.331, then Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected. Therefore, reading habits have an influence on student learning motivation at the Faculty of Language Arts, Padang State University with a coefficient of determination of 0.633 or 63.3%. Thus, the influence of reading habits on student learning motivation at the Faculty of Languages and Arts, Padang State University is 63.3% and the rest is influenced by other factors not discussed in this research.

Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the effect of Instagram @infounp utilization on user satisfaction of students of the Department of Information and Library Science, Faculty of Languages and Arts, Padang State University. This study consists of two variables, namely the Instagram utilization variable (X) with indicators of informative motives, educational motives, and entertainment motives and the user satisfaction variable (Y) with indicators of effectiveness, efficiency, and satisfaction. This research uses descriptive quantitative methods through questionnaires distributed to 100 respondents via Google Form. The population in this study were all Instagram followers @infounp. The data analysis technique used is the normality test and the 't' hypothesis test. Based on the results of the 't' test, it is known that the Instagram utilization variable (X) has an influence on user satisfaction (Y). This is based on the calculation that tcount 9.230> ttable 1.984. Then, the results also show that the utilization of Instagram @infounp is categorized as good so that it gives satisfaction to student users who are in the very good category.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the level of digital skills of PII students class of 2020 UNP in using library automation. The type of research used is quantitative research with a descriptive approach. The population in this study were PII students of class 2020 UNP who had taken PKL using library automation, namely 57 people with nonprobability sampling. This study used the entire population as a sample. In this study, researchers used a questionnaire as an instrument. Data collection techniques were carried out by distributing questionnaires to all research samples, interviewing respondents as preliminary data, and literature studies. The results of this study indicate that: (1) the level of student skills (human/human) in using library automation has a total average score of 3.13 with a percentage of 78.25% in the high category, (2) the level of student skills (organisation) in using library automation has a total average score of 3.13 with a percentage of 78.25% in the high category. the use of library automation has a total average score of average total score of 3.15 with a percentage of 78.75% in the high category, (3) the level of student skills (technology/technology) in the use of library automation has a total average score of (3) the level of student skills (technology/technology) in using library automation has a total average score of 3.144 with a percentage of 78.6% in the high category, and (4) the level of student skills (user knowledge) in using library automation has a total average score of 3.384 with a percentage of 78.75% in the high category.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the interpersonal communication skills of librarians in the self- circulation services at the Andalas University Library. The background of this research is the ineffective interpersonal communication by librarians, which causes difficulties for users in finding the information they need. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques such as interviews, observations, and documentation. The study informants consisted of three librarians and two users selected through purposive sampling. Data analysis was carried out through data reduction, data presentation, and verification stages. The results showed that the aspects of openness and empathy among librarians were not effectively applied, while the aspects of supportiveness, positiveness, and equality were well implemented. The lack of openness led to difficulties for users in obtaining the necessary information, while the lack of empathy made users feel neglected. On the other hand, good supportiveness, positiveness, and equality increased the comfort and trust of users. This study suggests the need for training for librarians to improve openness and empathy, as well as regular evaluations of librarians' interpersonal communication skills to ensure optimal service quality. This research is essential for enhancing library service quality and user satisfaction especially in self-circulation service.

Abstract

Biro Kesejahteraan Rakyat Sekretariat Daerah Provinsi Sumatera Barat (Biro Kesra Setda Sumbar) mengembangkan Sistem Informasi Rumah Ibadah (SIRAHMAH) dalam rangka meningkatkan pelayanan publik kepada masyarakat dalam urusan hibah rumah ibadah, lembaga, dan organisasi keagamaan. Jumlah penerima hibah yang tidak sebanding dengan jumlah pegawai yang ada di Biro Kesra Setda Sumbar menyebabkan banyaknya masalah operasional, seperti antrian yang panjang, waktu pelayanan yang lama, dan beban kerja yang tinggi bagi pegawai. Oleh karena itu, SIRAHMAH ini diciptakan dalam rangka mengoptimalkan proses pelayanan dan mengatasi berbagai kendala yang ada, sehingga dapat memberikan pelayanan yang baik dan kepuasan bagi masyarakat penerima hibah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan menggunakan Technology Acceptence Model yang terdiri dari perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, attitude toward using technology, behavior intention to use dan actual use untuk mengetahui faktor yang mempengaruhi penerimaan penggunaan SIRAHMAH. Responden dari penelitian ini adalah seluruh pegawai Biro Kesra Setda Sumbar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 4 hipotesis yang diterima dan 3 hipotesis yang ditolak. Hipoetsis yang ditolak disebabkan karena faktor demografis pengguna, masa penggunaan sistem yang relatif baru, dan penggunaan sistem yang tidak merata di seluruh bagian organisasi.

Abstract

Abstract This research aims to describe how followers receive book review content as a digital promotional medium (case study of the TikTok social media account @raniaadevina). This research was conducted using qualitative research methods with a case study type of research. Data was collected through in-depth interviews with followers of the TikTok account @raniadevina. The theory used in this research is the AISAS theory, which emphasizes the flow of consumer behavior in the digital era. Based on research results, book review content on Tiktok social media can be an effective digital promotional medium if it is presented in a way that is interesting and relevant to the target audience. The TikTok account @raniadevina has succeeded in building strong connections with followers through quality book review content, thus being able to influence its followers' book purchasing decisions.
