Abstract

Several methods and technologies to increasing the solubility and dissolution rate of a drug substance has been successfully developed, such as forming of a complexing compound, salt preparation, adjusting the pH, making of solid dispersions, etc. One of the technologies that are being developed is nanoparticle technology. Micronization of drug that is processed to produce particles with nano-size. This research aims to create and characterize nanosuspension with Polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) as the vehicle of mefenamic acid nanoparticles using vibrating mill and ultrasound equipment. Nanosuspension obtained was characterized by optical microscope and PSA to perform optimization nanosuspension formed. The result of characterization showed that the nanosuspension have an average diameter is 623.9 nm. Then, nanosuspension of mefenamic acid was freeze drying. Nanosuspension and bulk of mefenamic acid were characterization by XRD and put in a hard capsule shell for dissolution test. Profile of dissolution test with tris buffer media indicates that nanosuspension of mefenamic acid has a pattern of drug release is slower and constant compared with the mefenamic acid. bulk.

Abstract

Theophylline is a bronchodilator used for the treatment of bronchial asthma and other respiratory diseases. Theophylline has a narrow therapeutic index (10-20 µg/ml) and relatively short elimination half-life (6,19 ± 0,031 hours). Causes rapid elimination rate of theophylline should be given periodically to maintain drug levels in blood for the desired therapeutic effect can be achieved. The preparation of theophylline controlled release is expected to produce blood concentrations of theophylline in a more stable. The physical properties of tablets and drug release from matrix systems are influenced by the nature of the composition of the matrix. This research, theophylline controlled release tablets were made by combination of xanthan gum and HPMC as matrix composition. Combination of HPMC and xanthan gum was supposed to produce tablets with the required pysical properties and ability to extend the releasing period of theophylline from matrix system. HPMC-xanthan gum compositions used in formulation were 1:4, 1:1, and 4:1. Based on the evaluation of the physical properties carried out on the tablet, it was found out that the three formulas fit the requirements for ideal tablet. The increasing of xanthan gum concentration in the formula was proportional with the improvement of mass flowability and tablet hardness. Evaluation of the releasing profile of theophylline from matrix system had been conducted in vitro by dissolution test. Based on the test, it was found out that all combinations have variation in releasing profile. The increasing of HPMC concentration in formula will extend the releasing time of theophylline. The difference in releasing profile of Retaphyl SR® with formula 1, 2, and 3 because of differences in raw materials that form the matrix.

Abstract

In order to make use of pregelatinized Manihot starch in controlled release tablet, the research was done by heating the starch suspension up to its gelatinized temperatur, then dried. The particle size of pregelatinized Manihot starch used were (100-150 mesh) : (150-250 mesh) : smaller than 200 mesh = 3,5 : 1 : 1. The effect of pregelatinized Manihot starch on physical characteristic of Theophyllin controlled relase tablet was known by using 4 formulas containing variety of pregelatinized starch as follows: 30%, 40%, 50%, and 60%. Evaluation on the tablet results including tablet mass and size uniformity, hardness and friability. The result showed that pregelatinized Manihot starch in variable content on these tablet formulas fulfilled the requirement of tablet physical characteristics.

Abstract

Fast disintegrating tablet is one of advanced pharmaceutical technologies. Fast disintegrating tablets is a tablet when placed on the tongue will be instantly disintegrated and releases the drug with the help of saliva. This technology can solve the problem of using oral drug in patients such as pediatrics, geriatrics or in circumstances where the patient can not swallow tablets conventionally with the help of water. The purpose of this study was to optimize the speed of disintegration in fast disintegrating tablet formulations both with varying concentrations of sodium starch glycolate. Optimization the speed of disintegration was done by using sodium starch glycolate with concentration of 8%, 12% and 16% and then disintegration time was tested. After the optimum speed decided, the next step was optimizing the taste using various manitol concentration of 32%, 36% and 40% and evaluation of the taste was conducted by using hedonity test and analyzed with SPSS prog. Disintegration of good fast disintegrating tablet was 27 ± 1 second. The best disintegration time was achieved in tablet using sodium starch glycolate of 16%.

Abstract

Breast cancer is one of deadliest diseases in world. Turmeric extract was known to have antiproliferative activity. To minimize its toxicity, turmeric extract was encapsulated with liposome, a vesicle lipid bilayer functioned as cancer drug carrier in body. This research aimed to determine encapsulation effect of turmeric ethanol extract against antiproliferative activity in T47D breast cancer cells through in vitro assay. Liposomes was made using thin layer method and particle size was reduced by extrusion. Materials used are phosphatidylcholine, cholesterol, and turmeric extract. Optimization of liposomes was made in three formulations with different concentrations of extract. Most optimal formulation was formulation with minimum amount of extract, judging from physical parameters which have smallest precipitates and longest settling time. Evaluation liposome particle size and zeta potential was used DLS, morphology was used TEM, and entrapment efficiency was used dialysis. Most optimal formulation was tested their antiproliferative activity compared with not encapsulated extracts used 3-(4,5-dimethylazole-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide (MTT) method. There was decrease antiproliferative activity of encapsulated extracts. IC50 encapsulated extracts was 45.762 μg/ml and IC50 extracts was 36.399 μg/ml. Liposome particle size was below 445 nm. Zeta potential was -7.51 mV. Morphology was LUV and MVV. Entrapment efficiency was 63.80%. It could be concluded that encapsulation of turmeric extract into liposome could reduce its toxicity against cancer cells.

Abstract

Averrhoa bilimbi is fruit that has many benefits but the usage is not optimal. That is why the aim of the research is to get formulation of effervescent granule and tablet containing dry Averrhoa bilimbi extract with modified concentration of aspartame as sweetening agent for commercial healthy drink. Granules and tablets were produced with dry method granulation with 40% of relative humidity (RH) and 25ºC of temperature. The three of formulation were qualified as effervescent granules and tablets. Favorite tests showed that no significant differences of appearances, tastes for three of effervescent granules and tablets.

Abstract

Capsaicin topikal dengan konsentrasi tinggi (8%) efektif dalam pengobatan nyeri pada pasien Post-Herpetic Neuralgia (PHN) dan HIV-Associated Distal Sensory Polyneuropathy (HIV-DSP), namun penggunaan capsaicin ini masih menimbulkan reaksi yang tidak diinginkan pada tempat aplikasi. Banyak penelitian telah dilakukan untuk mengurangi efek samping yang terjadi karena pemakaian capsaicin. Penelitian ini bertujuan memformulasikan dan mengkarakterisasi capsaicin transfersom konsentrasi tinggi pada sediaan gel serta melihat penetrasinya ke dalam kulit dengan alat sel difusi Franz. Formula Capsaicin transfersom menggunakan campuran Phospholiphon 90G dan Tween 80 dengan rasio (90:10); (85:15); dan (80:20). Formula optimum transfersom dihasilkan oleh campuran fosfatidilkolin (Phospholiphon 90G®) dan Tween 80 (80:20) dengan ukuran partikel 183,03±25,95 nm, potential zeta -33,87±0,83 mV, dan efisiensi penjerapan 71,58+0,12 %. Formula terpilih Transfersom dibentuk ke dalam suatu sediaan gel kemudian dibandingkan dengan gel non-transfersom untuk melihat penetrasinya ke dalam kulit melalui uji sel difusi Franz. Selanjutnya, dianalisa menggunakan metode Spektrofotometri UV-Vis dengan panjang gelombang 281 nm. Berdasarkan uji sel difusi Franz, didapatkan jumlah kumulatif gel capsaicin transfersom sebesar 7572,19 ng/cm2 dan gel capsaicin non-transfersom sebesar 20326,66 ng/cm2. Nilai fluks Capsaicin transfersom adalah 329,12 ng.cm-2jam-1 and capsaicin non-transfersom adalah 760,08 ng.cm-2jam-1. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa komposisi Phospholiphon 90G® dan Tween 80 dengan rasio 80:20 menghasilkan formula optimum dari transfersom capsaicin konsentrasi tinggi. Gel capsaicin transfersom memiliki kemampuan penetrasi yang lebih lambat dibandingkan capsaicin non transfersom. Hasil ini diharapkan dapat mengurangi efek samping dari capsaicin yang bersifat iritan, namun, perlu dilakukan penelitian lebih lanjut terkait hal ini.

Abstract

Abstract. The accounting and financial reporting training aims to provide knowledge (methods / techniques) and accounting practices that start from the accounting cycle in preparing financial statements for cooperative managers and finance staff towards transparent, accountable, accountable, self-sustaining and transparent cooperative governance justice. The cooperative must have a reliable and valid financial management system so that cooperative management that is familial and mutual cooperation requires the active participation and participation of all stakeholders.The training was conducted at the Coffe and Coffeemaking Cooperative in Central Aceh and Bener Meriah Regency involving 45 participants from 13 cooperatives consisting of Managers and Finance Staff. The training was conducted for 3 (three) dated March 17 - 19, 2017. In the initial phase, training needs analysis has been done to obtain preliminary information about understanding and accounting practices in the targeted cooperatives.The final outcomes of training for cooperatives are the preparation of the Preliminary Balance Sheet and the Financial Statements of Cooperatives for the period of December 31, 2016 and the continuing recording of transactions for the period of 2017 until the preparation of the Financial Statements of December 31, 2017.Keywords: Accounting, Financial Statement, Cooperative, Governance  Abstrak.Pelatihan akuntansi dan penyusunan laporan keuangan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pengetahuan (metode/teknik) dan praktik akuntansi yang dimulai dari siklus akuntansi dalam menyusun laporan keuangan bagi para manajer dan staf keuangan koperasi guna menuju tata kelola koperasi yang transparan, akuntabel, bertanggungjawab, mandiri, dan berkeadilan. Koperasi harus memiliki sistem manajemen keuangan yang handal dan valid sehingga tata kelola koperasi yang bersifat kekeluargaan dan gotong royong menuntut peran dan partisipasi aktif dari seluruh anggota (stakeholder). Pelatihan ini dilakukan pada Koperasi Usaha Penamanan dan Pengolahan Kopi di Kabupaten Aceh Tengah dan Bener Meriah yang melibatkan 45 orang peserta dari 13 Koperasi yang terdiri dari Manajer dan Staf Keuangan. Pelatihan dilakukan selama 3 (tiga)  tanggal 17 – 19 Maret 2017. Pada tahap awal telah dilakukan analisis kebutuhan pelatihan guna mendapatkan informasi awal tentang pemahaman dan praktik akuntansi pada koperasi yang disasar.Dampak akhir (outcome) dari pelatihan bagi koperasi adalah tersusunnya Neraca Awal dan Laporan Keuangan Koperasi untuk periode 31 Desember 2016 dan berlanjutnya pencatatan transaksi periode tahun 2017 sampai tersusunan Laporan Keuangan 31 Desember 2017.Kata Kunci: Akuntansi, Laporan Keuangan, Koperasi, Tata Kelola
