Abstract

Pandemi Covid-19 yang melanda dunia membuat aktivitas normal pada masyarakat mengalami beberapa perubahan. Perubahan yang terjadi dalam dunia pendidikan adalah dengan diterapkannya pembelajaran jarak jauh atau dengan kelas online. Tujuan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah memberikan pelatihan penggunaan Learning Management System LMS untuk peningkatan kompetensi pengajar dalam pengelolaan kelas online saat pandemi Covid-19. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini, antara lain (1) penyusunan modul panduan dan pelatihan penggunaan LMS, (2) memberikan pelatihan pengetahuan mendasar mengenai penggunaan LMS, (3) memberikan gambaran pengalaman bagaimana proses pelaksanaan pembelajaran dengan menggunakan LMS, dan (4) diskusi dan tanya jawab. Sasaran kegiatan ini adalah para akademisi, baik itu guru, dosen, calon guru/mahasiswa, maupun umum di seluruh Indonesia. Peserta kegiatan sebanyak 435 orang. Berdasarkan survei dengan Google Form mengenai manfaat pelatihan, sebagian besar peserta menyatakan pelatihan ini sangat bermanfaat dan berkontribusi meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kemampuan guru atau pengajar dalam penggunaan LMS sebagai media pembelajaran online yang interaktif dan menyenangkan dalam proses belajar mengajar.  The Covid-19 pandemic that has hit the world has made some changes to normal activities in society. Changes that occur in the world of education are the implementation of distance learning or online classes. The purpose of this community service is to provide training on the use of the LMS Learning Management System to improve teacher competence in managing online classes during the Covid-19 pandemic. The methods used in this activity include (1) preparation of guide modules and training on the use of LMS, (2) providing training in basic knowledge regarding the use of LMS, (3) providing an overview of the experience of how the process of implementing learning using LMS, and (4) discussion and question and answer. The target of this activity is academics, be it teachers, lecturers, prospective teachers/students, and the general public throughout Indonesia. The participants of the activity were 435 people. Based on a survey using Google Forms regarding the benefits of the training, most of the participants stated that this training was very useful and contributed to improving the knowledge and abilities of teachers or instructors in using LMS as an interactive and fun online learning medium in the teaching and learning process.

Abstract

Bahasa adalah sebagai salah satu alat komunikasi yang dapat mengekspresikan berbagai perasaan. Ketidakterampilan seseorang dalam berkomunikasi dapat menyebabkan kesulitan ketika harus tampil didepan orang lain. Bagi seseorang yang memiliki rasa takut untuk berbicara didepan orang lain, akan muncul rasa kurang percaya diri dan khawatir sehingga dapat menggangu konsentrasi. Sebelum mulai berbicara di depan umum, dapat dilakukan latihan secara mandiri menggunakan aplikasi orai untuk menunjang keterampilan komunikasi (public speaking). Tujuan pengabdian ini adalah memberikan pelatihan untuk menunjang keterampilan menggunakan aplikasi orai dalam pembelajaran public speaking secara mandiri bagi Pemuda Karang Taruna Kabupaten Batola. Metode yang digunakan adalah pelatihan public speaking menggunakan aplikasi orai dilaksanakan pada tanggal 27-30 Juni 2022 dan dihadiri sebnyak 17 peserta dari Karang Taruna Kabupaten Batola. Diharapkan dengan adanya kegiatan ini para Pemuda Karang Taruna Kabupaten Batola dapat meningkatkan keterampilan tentang aplikasi orai dalam menunjang pembelajaran public speaking sehingga lebih memahami dan dapat mengaplikasikannya. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi diperoleh bahwa hasilnya sangat positif. Para Pemuda Karang Taruna Kabupaten Batola sangat antusias selama dua hari pelatihan dan menunjukkan bahwa mereka tertarik sehingga pelatihan ini dapat menunjang keterampilan mereka dalam public speaking.  A language is a communication tool that can express various feelings. A person's inability to communicate can cause difficulties when appearing in front of others. For someone who fears speaking in front of others, there will be a lack of confidence and worry that can interfere with concentration. Before starting to speak in public, you can practice independently using the orai application to support communication skills (public speaking). The purpose of this service is to provide training to improve skills using the orai application so that it can support independent public speaking learning for Youth Karang Taruna Batola Regency. The method used was public speaking training using the orai application, held on 27-30 June 2022 and attended by 17 participants from the Youth Organization of Barito Kuala Regency. It is hoped that with this activity, the Karang Taruna Youth of Batola Regency can improve their skills in the application of orai in supporting public speaking learning so that they better understand and can apply it. Based on the evaluation results obtained that the results are very positive. The Karang Taruna Youth of Batola Regency were very enthusiastic during the two days of training and showed that they were interested so that this training could improve their skills in public speaking.

Abstract

Pada era Society 5.0, Teknologi Informasi dan Komunikasi (TIK) adalah bagian dari kehidupan manusia. Literasi digital yaitu kemampuan menggunakan TIK untuk memperoleh dan memilah informasi. Tujuan pengabdian ini yaitu memberikan pelatihan dalam mengembangkan media pembelajaran menggunakan Canva untuk guru matematika SMP di Kabupaten Hulu Sungai Tengah, Provinsi Kalimantan Selatan. Permasalahan awal diketahui bahwa kemampuan TIK guru matematika di Kabupaten Hulu Sungai Tengah, provinsi Kalimantan Selatan cukup baik akan tetapi dirasa masih belum optimal dalam memanfaatkannya. Pada era digital sekarang semua guru telah menggunakan media sosial yang dapat diakses melalui handphone atau komputer mereka. Akan tetapi, kemampuan menggunakan teknologi masih belum sepenuhnya diterapkan dalam proses pembelajaran berbasis digital. Hal ini dikarenakan keterbatasan guru dalam memanfaatkan teknologi baik berupa handphone atau komputer sebagai media pembelajaran. Oleh karena itu, tim pengabdian ingin memberikan pelatihan dalam mengembangkan media pembelajaran menggunakan Canva untuk meningkatkan literasi digital Guru MGMP Matematika SMP. Adapun metode yang digunakan dalam pelatihan yaitu Tahap awal, perencanaan, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi. Pelatihan dilaksanakan pada tanggal 6 Juli 2022  secara offline dan 20 Juli 2022 secara online diikuti sebanyak 30 peserta. Saat pelatihan guru sangat bersemangat dan sebesar 80% guru menyatakan sudah mengimplementasikan media pembelajaran berbasis canva di kelas mereka sehingga dapat meningkatkan literasi digital.In the era of Society 5.0, Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is a part of human life. Digital literacy is the ability to use ICT to obtain and sort information. This service aims to provide training in the development of learning media using Canva for junior high school mathematics teachers in Hulu Sungai Tengah Regency, South Kalimantan Province. The initial problem is that the ICT skills of mathematics teachers in Hulu Sungai Tengah Regency, South Kalimantan Province, are quite good. However, they still need to be more optimal in using them. In today's digital era, all teachers use social media that can be accessed via their cell phones or computers. However, the ability to use technology still needs to be fully implemented in the digital-based learning process. This is due to the limitations of teachers in utilizing technology in the form of mobile phones or computers as learning media. Therefore, the service team wants to provide training in learning media development using Canva to improve digital literacy for Middle School Mathematics MGMP teachers. The method used in training is the initial stage, planning, implementation and evaluation. The training was held offline on July 6, 2022, online on July 20, 2022, and attended by 30 participants. During the training, the teachers were very enthusiastic, and 80% of them stated that they had implemented Canva-based learning media in their classrooms to improve digital literacy.

Abstract

Tujuan kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ini adalah melakukan pelatihan pengintegrasian GSE-LMS bagi guru SMP Kabupaten Banjar. Metode pelaksanaan PkM ini terdiri dari persiapan, pelaksanaan kegiatan dan pendampingan, serta evaluasi kegiatan. tim PkM mempersiapkan modul praktikum GSE-LMS untuk dibagikan kepada peserta saat kegiatan Pelatihan. Kegiatan PkM ini dilaksanakan selama 2 kali pertemuan secara tatap muka pada bulan Juni 2023. Pelaksanaan kegiatan PkM ini di laboratorium komputer SMPN 2 Kertak Hanyar, Kabupaten Banjar. Peserta yang hadir sebanyak 20 guru SMPN 2 Kertak Hanyar. Instrumen evaluasi kegiatan yang digunakan untuk pengumpulan data berupa angket yang diisi oleh peserta melalui Google Form. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa peserta sangat setuju bahwa kegiatan PkM sangat bermanfaat dan sesuai dengan kebutuhan mitra di lapangan untuk mendukung inovasi pembelajaran berbantuan teknologi. Selain itu, peserta begitu bersemangat mengikuti kegiatan pelatihan dan meminta kegiatan pelatihan TIK dilakukan secara kontinu ke depan untuk peningkatan kompetensi guru mengimplementasikan TIK dalam pembelajaran. Temuan yang menarik bahwa sebanyak 56,5% peserta menganggap penggunaan fitur-fitur pada Google Classroom sebagai LMS mudah dipahami dan mudah digunakan dibandingkan dengan aplikasi Google lainnya yang telah diberikan saat pelatihan. Selanjutnya, sebagai bahan masukan bagi tim PkM bahwa perlu ada pelatihan lanjutan terkait aplikasi Google lainnya yang dianggap sulit bagi guru-guru sebagai peserta. This Community Service (CS) activity aimed to conduct GSE-LMS integration training for Banjar Regency Middle School teachers. The CS implementation method consists of preparation, implementation of activities, mentoring, and evaluation of activities. The CS team prepared the GSE-LMS practicum module to be distributed to participants during training activities. This CS activity was carried out during two face-to-face meetings in June 2023. This CS activity was carried out in the computer laboratory of SMPN 2 Kertak Hanyar, Banjar Regency. Participants who attended were 20 teachers at SMPN 2 Kertak Hanyar. The activity evaluation instrument used for data collection was a questionnaire filled out by participants via Google Forms. The evaluation results showed that participants strongly agree that CS activities were very useful and by the needs of partners in the field to support technology-assisted learning innovation. Apart from that, participants were very enthusiastic about participating in training activities and asked that ICT training activities be carried out continuously to increase teacher competence in implementing ICT in learning. An interesting finding was that 56.5% of participants considered using the features in Google Classroom as an LMS easy to understand and use compared to other Google applications provided during training. Furthermore, as input for the CS team, there needs to be further training regarding other Google applications, which are considered difficult for the teachers as participants.

Abstract

This community service (CS) aimed to develop the competence of high school mathematics teachers through workshops integrating computational thinking in Barito Kuala Regency. The implementation method of this consisted of preparation, activity implementation and mentoring, and evaluation stages. In the preparation stage, a computational thinking workshop module was developed for mathematics material and distributed to participants during the training activities. Community service with a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach is oriented towards community empowerment so the community can become an actor of change. Community service activities facilitate bridging mathematics teachers to develop CT in this case. This CS activity was conducted over two face-to-face meetings from August to September 2024. This CS activity was implemented in the Global Islamic Boarding School (GIBS) computer laboratory in Barito Kuala Regency. The participants who attended were 54 high school mathematics teachers from the region. The evaluation instrument used for data collection was a questionnaire filled out by participants via Google Forms. After the workshop, The evaluation showed that most teachers understood that CT was related to problem-solving through a systematic, logical, and algorithm-based approach. The high average score indicated that the training provided successfully introduced and effectively explained the CT concept. The involvement and active participation of teachers were very evident in this activity. Furthermore, an interesting finding was that teachers expressed 89.8% agreement that computational thinking needed to be taught to students. This was because CT could help students think critically and logically and build mental resilience, thereby increasing their readiness for the world of work in the future.
