Abstract

This study aims to explore the role of teachers in fostering global diversity character among students at SD Negeri Warugunung, Rembang. Using a qualitative descriptive approach with a case study design, data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation involving teachers, the principal, and students. The findings reveal that teachers play a pivotal role in three dimensions: as educators, teachers internalize values of tolerance and empathy through modeling and habituation; as instructors, they integrate multicultural perspectives into classroom content, albeit inconsistently; and as trainers, they develop students’ intercultural competencies through collaborative and project-based learning activities. However, several limitations were identified, including the lack of structured curriculum planning, insufficient teacher training, and limited collaboration with external stakeholders. The novelty of this study lies in its comprehensive analysis of teachers’ multi-dimensional roles in shaping global citizenship character at the elementary level in a rural Indonesian context an area that remains under-researched. The study contributes valuable insights for education practitioners and policymakers in designing inclusive character education strategies that respond to the demands of 21st-century global competencies.

Abstract

Digitalization in education is a pressing issue in Indonesia, especially in the context of the rapid technological advancements driven by the 4.0 industrial revolution. This research focuses on the impact of digitalization on learning effectiveness and student creativity at SMA Negeri 1 Semarang. The primary objective is to assess how digital tools such as Learning Management Systems (LMS) influence the quality of teaching and foster creativity among students. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through interviews, observations, and document studies. The findings indicate that the implementation of LMS at SMA Negeri 1 Semarang has positively affected learning by offering more flexible access to learning materials and enhancing student engagement. However, challenges related to teacher training and unequal access to technology for students remain significant barriers. The research suggests that for digitalization to be fully effective, continuous professional development for educators and equal access to digital devices for students are essential. The implications of this study emphasize the need for supportive policies and infrastructures to optimize the benefits of digital education.

Abstract

The digital transformation era requires schools to adapt their approaches to quality management. However, many schools have not yet optimized the use of data for informed decision-making, particularly in utilizing platforms such as the Education Report (Rapor Pendidikan). This indicates a gap between the availability of digital data and its practical application in school-level quality management. This study aims to analyze educational quality management strategies at SMP PGRI 1 Semarang through the implementation of the Education Report in the digital era. A qualitative approach with a case study method was employed. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with eight key informants, direct observations, and document analysis conducted between January and May 2025. The findings reveal that the use of the Education Report improves transparency, accountability, and the effectiveness of quality management. The platform provides comprehensive data on students’ literacy, numeracy, and character development, enabling more targeted evaluations and planning. Most students reached a “Sufficient” level in literacy and numeracy, though the “Critical Thinking” dimension of character development still requires attention. Key challenges include limited IT infrastructure, platform complexity, resistance to change, and insufficient human resource capacity. This study addresses a research gap regarding school-level data-driven quality management practices and recommends strengthening digital capacity, documentation systems, and multi-stakeholder collaboration to enable schools to become adaptive and sustainable models of data-based quality management in the digital age.

Abstract

ABSTRACT: The context of this study is the management of improving teacher professionalism at SDN Padasugih 01. The purpose of this study was to analyze the planning, organizing, mobilizing, and monitoring and evaluation in improving teacher professionalism at SDN Padasugih 01. This study used a qualitative descriptive method, with data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that the management of improving teacher professionalism carried out has a significant role in improving professionalism. The principal at SDN Padasugih 01 has implemented various strategies for improving professionalism which include activities 1) planning to improve teacher professionalism, the findings in the RKS did not find a plan to improve teacher professionalism because the principal compiled it separately from the RKS; 2) organizing teacher professionalism improvement, the findings were that teachers did not use assignment letters and SPPD from the school because training invitations came directly from the center so that they had to shift the budget to BOSP; 3) driving teacher professionalism improvement, the findings were that the principal had not given physical awards to teachers' efforts to improve their professionalism; and 4) supervision of teacher professionalism improvement, the findings are that the principal has not routinely held good practice activities as a result of teacher professionalism improvement activities. This study suggests that schools be more proactive in encouraging their teachers to improve their professionalism. Policy support from the government and local education offices is also considered essential to ensure that these programs can run optimally and sustainably. In conclusion, effective management in improving teacher professionalism will have a positive impact on the quality of learning and student learning outcomes. Laksitorini, Indriyati. 2024. Pengaruh Supervisi Akademik, Kompetensi Profesional dan Pemanfaatan Media Pembelajaran terhadap Mutu Pendidikan SD Negeri Kecamatan Kaloran Kabupaten Temanggung. Semarang: Pascasarjana Universitas PGRI Semarang. Pembimbing I:, Dr. Titik Haryati, M.Si. Pembimbing II: Dr. Widya Kusumaningsih, M.Pd. Latar belakang masalah penelitian ini berkaitan dengan Mutu Pendidikan SD di Kecamatan Kaloran Kabupaten Temanggung yaitu berdasarkan Rapor Pendidikan Kecamatan Kaloran Kabupaten Temanggung Tahun 2022 dari empat dimensi yang mencapai kategori Hijau (Baik) rata-rata baru pada tingkat 24,05%, kategori cukup 53,73%, dan kateogir kurang 22,2%. Hal ini berarti 75,95% masih berada kategori cukup dan kurang. Mutu Pendidikan ditingkatkan dengan berbagai strategi di antaranya dengan Supervisi Akademik, meningkatkan Kompetensi Profesional guru dan Pemanfaatan Media Pembelajaran. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis dan mendeskripsikan pengaruh Supervisi Akademik, Kompetensi Profesional guru dan Pemanfaatan Media Pembelajaran sekolah terhadap Mutu Pendidikan sekolah dasar negeri di Kecamatan Kaloran. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian kuantitatif korelasional. Populasi penelitian adalah semua guru sekolah dasar negeri di Kecamatan Kaloran Kabupaten Temanggung berjumlah 209 guru dan sampel penelitian 138 guru. Analisis penelitian ini meliputi analisis uji normalitas, uji linieritas, uji multikolinearitas, dan uji heteroskedastisitas. Uji hipotesis meliputi uji regresi sederhana dan uji regresi ganda, uji F (ANOVA) dan uji t. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan sebagai berikut: (1) Supervisi Akademik berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap Mutu Pendidikan, berdasar hasil Uji t, terbukti t hitung 7,966 > t tabel 1,977, dan nilai Sig (2-tailed) 0,000 < 0,05, besarnya pengaruh 31,5%; (2) Kompetensi Profesional berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap Mutu Pendidikan, berdasarkan hasil uji t terbukti thitung l yaitu 7,405 ≥ 1,977, dan nilai Sig (2-tailed) 0,000 < 0,05, besarnya pengaruh adalah 28,9%, (3) Pemanfaatan Media Pembelajaran berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap Mutu Pendidikan. Hal ini berdasarkan hasil uji t terbukti thitung ≥ ttabel 6,341 ≥ 1,977, dan nilai Sig (2-tailed) 0,000 < 0,05. Besarnya pengaruh Pemanfaatan Media Pembelajaran terhadap variabel Mutu Pendidikan adalah 22,9%, (4) Supervisi Akademik, Kompetensi Profesional dan Pemanfaatan Media Pembelajaran secara simultan berpengaruh terhadap variabel Mutu Pendidikan diperoleh lFhitung sebesar 46,799 dengan taraf signifikan 0.000. Hasil penghitungan diperoleh nilai lFhitung > lFtabel (46,799 > l2,67) dan nilai signifikansinya 0,000 < 0,005. Besarnya sumbagan efektif dari ketiga variabel bebas adalah sebesar 50,3%.

Abstract

Cultural and civic literacy is one of the important literacies for junior high school students to have. The aim of this research is to develop an interactive ebook that can increase cultural and civic literacy in class VIII students. The research method uses the Richey and Klein model, namely Research, Design, Production and Evaluation. The participants in this research consisted of seven students and one class VIII teacher at CLC SMPT Lumadan Beaufort, Sabah, Malaysia. The data analysis technique uses quantitative descriptive analysis techniques. The research results show that based on the results of the media validator and ebook material validator it is very valid to be used as a learning medium. Based on the results of the pretest and posttest, there was an increase in students' cultural and civic literacy results. This proves that the interactive ebook created is effective and efficient. Effective because it can increase cultural literacy and citizenship in class VIII students significantly and efficiently because it does not require a long time in the improvement process, namely within one month after using the product in classroom learning.
