Abstract

Talang Gulo Final Disposal Site (FDS) has a Leachate Treatment Plant (LTP) equipped with denitrification and nitrification facilities which function to reduce the concentration of ammonia (NH3) in leachate according to predetermined environmental quality standards. Research samples were taken in the form of leachate using the grab sampling method in accordance with SNI 6989.59:2008. The results of the research showed that the aeration time for the ammonia stripper of 3 hours, 6 hours and 12 hours both gave the highest value for the ammonia stripper efficiency percentage variable. The highest ammonia removal efficiency is aeration time of 12 hours. However, if we look at the operating efficiency of the ammonia stripper, the removal of ammonia by using an aeration time of 12 hours does not provide a significant improvement when compared to a treatment with an aeration time of 6 hours. This means that the operating time is 6 hours faster, the 6 hour variation can provide an ammonia removal efficiency of more than 90%

Abstract

The soil polluted by heavy metals in the old Talang Gulo TPA has been a waste disposal site for many years, so that the surrounding soil is contaminated with the heavy metals mercury, chromium and arsenic. For this reason, it is necessary to know the concentrations of heavy metals Hg, Cr, As, and to test the effectiveness of vetiver (Vetiveria zizanioides) in reducing the content of Hg, Cr, and As metals in polluted soil in the old TPA Talang Gulo Jambi TPA. The research method was in the form of a preliminary survey with the type of research being carried out in an experimental manner, to restore heavy metal polluted soil using the phytoremediation method using vetiver (Vetiveria zizanioides). The results showed that the height and weight growth of Vetiveria zizanioides based on the results of ANOVA statistical calculations showed that Vertiveria zizanioides plants did not differ significantly in plant growth between polluted soil and control soil. As well as the effectiveness of vetiver (Vetiveria zizanioides) in reducing the metal content of Hg, Cr, As, in TPA Talang Gulo Jambi. Shows a decrease in metal content that occurred for 8 weeks. The absorption of metal mercury (Hg) is T1 0.606 mg/kg (56%), T2 0.599 mg/kg (57%), T3 0.544 mg/kg (60%), T4 0.324 mg/kg (76%) on chromium metal (Cr) of T1 1.348 mg/kg (39%), T2 1.248 mg/kg (44%) , T3 1.078 mg/kg (51%), T4 0.759 mg/kg (76%), and in arsenic metal (As ) T1 0.904 mg/kg (46%), T2 0.759 mg/kg (55%), T3 0.685 mg/kg (59%), T4 0.589 mg/kg (65%).

Abstract

This study aims to understand the development of research on technology in the context of adult learning over the last ten years. This study used bibliometric analysis to identify research trends, relationships between concepts, and author collaborations. The data is obtained from the Google Scholar database with relevant keywords, and the number of publications is limited to 1,000 journals. The results show fluctuations in the growth of publications about technology in the context of adult learning from 2014 to 2023. Out of 1,000 publications indexed by Google Scholar, only 628 have information on year and publisher, while 308 do not. The peak of publication growth occurred in 2021, with 105 publications (16.7%), while the lowest number of publications was recorded in 2017, with 50 documents (8%). Research shows that the use of technology in adult learning continues to evolve. Nonetheless, there is still a paucity of research on technology and knowledge of andragogical content in adult learning. This provides an opportunity for other researchers to continue to develop this research trend.
