Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of student mastery of the ability to solve mathematical problems. Some indicators of solving mathematical problems have not been able to be mastered well by students. For this reason, researchers used the Kumon learning model with the aim of being able to solve mathematical problem solving for eighth grade students of Merangin Public Middle School 19, which would be better than those taught by conventional methods. This research uses a quantitative approach with an experimental method. The study was conducted on 105th grade students of junior high school totaling 105 people. Data collection techniques through tests of mathematical problemsolving abilities in the form of essay questions. Data analysis techniques using tʹ. From the analysis of the final test data in the experimental class obtained an average of 35.65, while the control class obtained an average of 30.32. Hypothesis test results obtained, t' = 2.8808 and ttable = 2.0336. Because tarithmetic > Ttable then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. The conclusion of this study is the ability of students to solve mathematical problem solving in class VIII of SMP Negeri 19 Merangin by using the Kumon learning model better than students' mathematical problemsolving abilities taught by conventional methods.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the differences in mathematical reasoning abilities in terms of self efficacy using the power of two and four type of cooperative learning models with cooperative script learning models. The research method used was an experimental method with a quantitative approach using a 2 x 3 factorial design with a class population of VIII students totaling 4 classes. The sampling technique uses Simple Random Sampling, class VIII B as the experimental class 1 and class VIII C as the experimental class 2, and the two classes are grouped based on their self efficacy. Data collection using test techniques to variable mathematical reasoning abilities and questionnaires for self-efficacy. The results of the analysis show that hypotheses 1 and 3 obtained Zh <Zt, hypotheses 2 and 4 obtained Uh <Ut and hypothesis 5 obtained Fh < Ft, it can be concluded: the students' mathematical reasoning ability skills are not different either overall or with high, medium and low self efficacy using the power of two and four cooperative learning models with cooperative scripts. There is no interaction between self efficacy with cooperative models of the power of two and four types and cooperative scripts in influencing mathematical reasoning abilities.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the mathematical communication skills that are taught with a scientific approach better than conventional learning of class IX students of SMP Negeri 43 Merangin 2019/2020 academic year. This research uses a quantitative approach with an experimental method. The sampling technique uses simple random sampling. Samples are grouped by self-efficacy high, medium and low. Data collection techniques using test and non-test. Analysis technique uses t-test and two-way ANOVA. The test results state that: mathematical communication skills both overall and with self-efficacy high, moderate and low taught with a scientific approach are better than conventional learning, and there is an interaction between scientific approaches and conventional learning in terms of self-efficacy in influencing mathematical communication skills.

Abstract

In the learning process carried out in class the teacher has not yet developed teaching material. One of the teaching materials that can help students in the learning process is a module. A good module is one that can link the material to the daily lives of students, so in the contextual context-based module will be developed on the rank and sequence material of class XI students of SMA Negeri 17 Merangin 2019/2020 school year. This type of research is research and development. This study uses a 4-D model which consists of 4 stages: the defining stage, the design phase, the development stage and the disseminate stage. The contextual based module is validated by five experts namely three material experts, one Indonesian language expert and one media expert. Validity is seen from the results of the validation sheet, while practicality is seen from the questionnaire practicality of students' responses. The results of the analysis at the validation stage showed that the average score of the results of validation by material experts was 4.22, validation by linguists was 4.00 and validation was by media experts 4.94, so overall of each validation obtained an average of 4.38 with very valid category. The results of the questionnaire practicality analysis show that the practicality of contextual-based modules is produced practically with a percentage of 84.75%. Based on the results of the study it was found that the module developed was valid and practical.

Abstract

This study aims to produce LKPD based on discovery learning that is valid, practical and effective. This research is research and development (R&D). The LKPD developed was validated by five validators, namely three material expert validators, one linguist validator and one media expert validator. The average result of material expert validation is 4,67, linguistic expert validation is 4,50, media expert validation is 5,00 and math teacher validation is 4,77 with the results of the overall validation category being very valid. The percentage of the practicality questionnaire obtained was 73,25% with the practical category. While the percentage of student learning outcomes obtained by 84,21% with the effective category and the average percentage of student activity obtained 61,99% with the active category. Based on the results of research and development, it shows that the LKPD based on discovery learnin developed are valid, practical and effective.

Abstract

This study aims to determine and describe the mathematical problem solving abilities of students taught by using the learning model the power of two is better than conventional learning. The study used a quantitative approach with the experimental method. The study population was all IX grade students of Subulussalam MTs which numbered three classes with samples of class IX A as the experimental class and class IX C as the control class. The instruments used are test questions for esay mathematical problem solving abilities. The results of the data analysis requirements indicate that the data of the two sample classes are normally distributed and have homogeneous variances. Hypothesis testing uses the t-test formula. Based on the results of the analysis of research data shows that t count is greater than t table or 1.84 > 1.68 in the one-party test. Because t count > t table then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, so it can be concluded that the mathematical problem solving ability of the power of two learning model is better than conventional learning of IX grade students of MTs Subulussalam.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the mathematical communication skills taught by the co-op-co-op cooperative learning model in terms of high, medium, and low learning interests better then conventional learning. This study uses a quantitative approach and an experimental method with a 2x3 factorial design. Data collection techniques in this study used a description test of mathematical communication skills and student learning interest questionnaires. The data in this study were tested using the t-test. From the result of the study were obtained: hypotheses 1 and 3 were obtained mathematical communication skills taught with co-op-co-op type cooperative learning models are beter than convetional learning. hypotheses 2 and 4 were obtained mathematical communication skills taught with co-op-co-op type cooperative learning models are nobetter than convetional learning. Hypotheses 5 there is an interaction between cooperative learning models of co-op-co-op type and conventional learning interest in influencing mathematical communication skills.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the mathematical communication skills taught by the cooperative learning model in Co-o-Co-op terms of high, medium, and low learning interests better than conventional learning. This study uses a quantitative approach and an experimental method with a 2 × 3 factorial design. The data collection technique uses a descriptive test of mathematical communication skills and student learning interest questionnaires. Data analysis using t-test. based on the results of the analysis it was found that mathematical communication skills taught by thetype cooperative learning model Co-o-Co-op were better than conventional learning. If observed from students 'interest in learning, students' mathematical communication skills with interest in learning were in the experimental class better than the control class. Whereas for high and low learning interests in both the experimental class and the control class mathematical communication skills are not as good or the same for interaction data analysis, it was found that there were interactions between students 'learning interests and learning models in influencing students' mathematical communication skills. Abstract

Mathematics plays an important role in human life, so it requires an understanding of the mathematical concepts that are good for mathematical material. But in reality, students' understanding of mathematical concepts is still quite low. Based on the learning outcomes obtained by students there are still many who are below the minimum completeness criteria (KKM). Therefore, to overcome the existing problems, the probing-prompting learning model is used which will be able to improve the understanding of the mathematical concepts of class VIII students of SMP N 46 Merangin. The research method used was PTK. Subjects in the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 46 Merangin 2014/2015 academic year were 19 students. Data is collected using technical written tests and observations of students during the learning process. Based on the results of the study, it was found that understanding the mathematical concepts of students experienced a fairly good improvement compared to before. This can be seen from the learning outcomes obtained by students each cycle. The average learning outcomes obtained by students are: cycle I of 62.37 with the number of students completed 4 people. Increased in cycle II to 78.95 with a total of 13 students completed. in the third cycle student learning outcomes increased to 14 people with an average value of 84.47. Abstract

This research of background overhador by understanding of mathematical concept use model study of probing-prompting based problem posing better than the understanding of mathematical concept use conventional study of class student of VIII MTs Al-Munawwaroh Bangko year 2016/2017. This research type is research of experiment with population 90 people. Technique withrawal of sampel use sampling random simple. Chosen sampel is class of VIII A/Pa as experiment class and class of VIII B/Pa as class of kontrol. Technique collecting tes of is understanding of mathematical concept which in form of problem of essay at cube items and log. Technique analyse data used to test hypothesis is test-t of data analysis of tes final experiment class obtained by ean 39,24 varians 49,85, while control class obtained by mean 32,88, varians 43,17. Result of hypothesis test obtained, thitung = 2,79 and ttabel = 1,68 because thitung > ttabel of hense Ho refused and Ha accepted. Conclusoin of this research that is understanding of mathematical concept use study of probing better than the understanding of concept use convensional study of class student of VIII MTs Al-Munawwaroh Bangko year 2016/2017.
