Abstract

This research focuses on designing an Internet of Things (IoT)-based control system for multiple servo motors. The system is equipped with an Android-based controller using a virtual joystick, enabling online and real-time control. The use of a virtual joystick on an Android smartphone application allows operators to control the device remotely, enhancing safety and work efficiency, especially in hazardous or hard-to-reach areas. The objective of this research is to evaluate the success and accuracy of servo movements to ensure optimal performance. The findings aim to demonstrate that IoT technology can serve as a reference for implementing wireless control in various automated systems, improving operational quality in different applications. Experimental results show that joystick control via an Android device facilitates online operation and can be effectively utilized. However, hardware limitations, such as servo motors and brackets, reduce the accuracy of object transfer, leading to failure in some trials, with a success rate of 70 percent. Nevertheless, this research can serve as a reference for future developments in the field, particularly in enhancing the accuracy and stability of IoT-based control systems.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi, lebih spesifiknya pada bidang cloud computing saat ini sudah berkembang dengan sangat signifikan hingga mempengaruhi hampir segala bidang kehidupan, seperti pendidikan, pemerintahan, bisnis, dan tidak terkecuali sektor pariwisata. Tingginya tingkat kontribusi pariwisata terhadap PDB Indonesia tentunya tidak luput dari peran teknologi, khususnya perkembangan sistem informasi pada bidang pariwisata. Terlepas dari perkembangan teknologi, beberapa kalangan yang terlibat pada sektor pariwisata saat ini masih mengalami masalahnya masing-masing. Masalah tersebut dialami oleh tour guide yang kesulitan untuk mendapatkan pekerjaan, para biro perjalanan yang kesulitan untuk mencari tour guide yang sesuai dalam memandu sebuah perjalanan wisata, serta wisatawan yang kesulitan untuk mendapatkan informasi mengenai sebuah perjalanan wisata karena biro perjalanan masih menawarkan layanannya menggunakan website pribadinya masing-masing. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mengembangkan sebuah sistem informasi berbasis software as a service yang kemudian dapat menyelesaikan masalah diatas. Sistem informasi ini dibangun dalam platform website dan mobile dan berkomunikasi dengan menggunakan REST API yang dikembangkan menggunakan framework Laravel sebagai back-end server dan Flutter serta Vue.js sebagai front-end. Sistem informasi ini memiliki delapan buah modul yang diuji menggunakan Metode Black Box Testing dan telah berhasil memenuhi semua skenario pengujian.

Abstract

Identifying and characterizing blood cells are vital for diagnosing diseases and evaluating a patient's health. Blood, consisting of plasma and cells, offers valuable insights through its biochemical and ecological features. Plasma constitutes the liquid component containing water, protein, and salt, while platelets, red blood cells (RBCs), and white blood cells (WBCs) form the solid portion. Due to diverse cell characteristics and data complexity, achieving reliable and precise cell detection remains a significant challenge. This study presents a network reduction strategy and deep ensemble learning approaches to detect blood cell types based on the YOLOv8 model. Our proposed methods aim to optimize the YOLOv8 model by reducing network depth while preserving performance and leveraging deep ensemble learning to enhance model accuracy. Based on the experiments, the NRS strategy can reduce the complexity of the YOLO model by reducing the depth and width of the YOLO network while maintaining model performance by 4%, outperforming the baseline YOLOv8 model.

Abstract

A power supply is essential for the Pratima security system because it serves as the primary energy source that ensures all components of the Pratima security system can operate optimally, especially during power outages. This study designs a power supply system with a smart charging feature for the IoT-based Pratima security system. This system uses an ESP8266 microcontroller, current and voltage sensors, and is connected to the Telegram application to provide notifications when the 18650 battery is full. Unlike previous studies that utilize websites, this system offers a simpler and more efficient monitoring solution via Telegram. The goal is to maintain the quality of the 18650 battery, prevent overcharging, and provide a power reserve to keep the security system active. This study uses the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) method with a Waterfall model consisting of 5 stages: analysis, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. The results of this study are expected to be an alternative power supply with a smart charging feature at an affordable price and can be applied to other IoT devices that require an automatic and efficient charging system.

Abstract

The development of robotics technology today is experiencing rapid progress through innovations in various fields, such as the application of artificial intelligence (AI), advanced sensors, and autonomous control systems. Robots are now not only used in the industrial infrastructure sector, but also in the fields of health, transportation, agriculture, and everyday life to help humans complete various tasks. This study discusses the design of a robot arm with four servo motors based on an ESP8266 Wi-Fi microcontroller controlled through the Blynk application. The purpose of this study is to automate the movement of the robot arm in performing a task and to compare its performance with and without the use of a Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) controller PCA9685 module. The system development stages include design analysis, device design and assembly, movement programming, and system testing. The results show that the movement of the robotic arm without PCA9685 has an accuracy rate of 99.323%, while with PCA9685 it reaches 99.77%. The average accuracy percentage increased by 0.447% on the robot arm with the PCA9685 and reduced the complexity of the cables connected to the breadboard by 57.14%.
