Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is a non-contagious disease that causes the increas of death rates in Indonesia. This study aims to determine the causality between Age, Occupation, Cholesterol effects of Age, Occupation, Cholesterol Levels, and Blood Pressure Risk of Diabetes Mellitus (DM). The population in this study were all patients at the Beru Public Health Center, with a sample of 200 patients. The analytical method used in this research is Path Analysis with the help of directly or indirectly. The results showed that age and blood pressure had a direct positive effect on cholesterol levels and blood pressure, and age, cholesterol levels and blood pressure also directly affected the risk of developing DM. Age and occupation also affect the risk of developing DM indirectly.

Abstract

On August 2018, an earthquake occurred in North Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara which can be felt from a neighbor region such as West Lombok, Karangasem, and many others. The earthquake caused many casualties and material made many people feel sympathy for the victims of the earthquake. Therefore, many aids and donations came to the affected areas. However, the arrival of aids didn't result in similar perception among victims. The aim of this research is to analyze aid effectiveness of earthquake disaster victims in Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara. In addition, the expectation, realization, and response time of aids will be considered. This research implemented by using partial least square-structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM). This research uses six-first order latent variable, three-second order and one-third order latent variable were built by hierarchical construct model. Data were collected by using questionnaires with 5 likert scale on December 2018 that were distributed directly to 180 victims of earthquake disaster with purposive sampling method. The results show the expectation, realization, and response time regarding the aids for the victims was significant in affecting aid effectiveness and aids of earthquake disaster victims was effective.

Abstract

This aims of this research is determine the insurance premium reserve for education with retrospective calculations and determine the premium reserves who acquired during the period of guarantee for insurance education. This research  observes the premium reserve for persons aged 40 years with a coverage period of 17 years. The secondary data used is an education insurance data product  from the insurance company that issued the insurance product. Premium reserve is determined by using the retrospective calculation, the calculation using the annuity value, net single premium value, net annual premiums, the value of net monthly premium, CSO 1980 mortality and fixed interest rate at 9%. Retrospective calculations produce a faster value backup  and sequentially in each year. The results showed that the premium reserve with retrospective calculation should be close up to the cash price owned by insurance company and must be the same at the end of the insurance period is Rp 7.000.000,00.

Abstract

This research aimed to forecast the gasoline demand at Denpasar using genetic algorithm method. This  algorithm was selected because of easy to implement and its ability to find acceptable solution quickly.  This algorithm works by searching the best individu according to fitness function defined. The series data used in the research were 60 observations of monthly gasoline demand at Denpasar for period January 2009 through December 2013.  By observing the Partial Autocorrelation Function (PACF) plot, we found the last lag before the series become stationer was sixth lag.  Based on this finding, we decided the best individu was represented by six genes. This individu, in addition, was used to make in-sample forecasting.  The forecasted data had mean absolute error (MAE) as much as 553,27 kiloliters.  For one semester out-of sample forecast, we found gasoline consumption fluctuated with lowest and highest consumption were for February 2014 and June 2014, respectively.

Abstract

In school development problem, determining location is one of important things to consider. In this research, the purpose is to determine the location of SMAN 9 Denpasar if it will be built. One of algorithms in computational geometry that can be used to find solution of facility location problem is multiplicatively weighted Voronoi diagram in two dimensions. The result of weighted Voronoi diagram shows the influence of each site to the surrounding area. Then, the location of SMAN 9 Denpasar is obtained by determining the center of the largest empty circle of the weighted Voronoi diagram.

Abstract

The purpose of the analysis of queuing systems is to find out the model and the performance of queuing system was run. The research was conducted at PT. PLN (Persero) South Bali Area Rayon Kuta and the issue raised is about the analysis of queuing systems at the payment counter. Model queue is determined based on the Kendall notation and performance of queuing systems can be determined by calculating the utilization factor. At payment counter, the queuing model used is a model (M/G/4):(GD/?/?). The performance of queuing system at payment counter of PT. PLN (Persero) South Bali Area Rayon Kuta is less effective because each servers was busy on average only between 30% – 50% of working hours so that more time unemployed servers.

Abstract

Latent variables are variables that can not be observed directly. Latent variables can be observed with constituent indicators. One of the methods used to analyze the latent variables are Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). This research raised the case of impulse buying to be applied to the SEM method. Impulse buying influenced by the characteristics of the hypermarket, situational factors, the characteristics of the product, promotion and positive emotions. The purpose of this research was to determine the effect dari positive emotions as mediation to impulse buying.The results obtained indicate that positive emotions directly affect the impulse buying of 0.302, promotion directly affects the positive emotions of 0.367, and the promotion of indirect effect to impulse buying of 0.111. So positive emotions can mediate to impulse buying of 0.020. Goodness of fit mediation models not good with value 0.39.

Abstract

This study aimed to apply glowworm swarm optimization (GSO) algorithm as an alternate way to obtain optimal bandwidth in geographically weighted regression (GWR) model with adaptive kernel function. The result showed that GSO was able to obtain optimal bandwidth with lower cross validation (CV) value than the traditional way that was using k-nearest neighbor (KNN) algorithm. Unfortunately, the running time of GSO was far slower than KNN was.

Abstract

Trans Sarbagita is a public transportation services people at Denpasar, Badung, Gianyar and Tabanan. Trans Sarbagita is aimed to resolve a problems caused by accretion volume of vehicles in Bali. This study conducted to forecast the number of Trans Sarbagita passengers in 2013 using ANFIS. The ANFIS system composed by five layers where each layers has a different function and its divide in two phases, i.e. forward and backward phases. The ANFIS uses a hybrid learning algorithm which is a combination of Least Squares Estimator (LSE) on forwards phases and Error Backpropagation (EBP) on the backward phases. The results show, ANFIS with six inputs with M.F of  Pi  produces smallest error, compared to seven and eight input and M.F gauss and generalizedbell. Forecast of Trans Sarbagita passenger numbers in 2013 have to fluctuated every day and the average of passenger’s Trans Sarbagita for a day is 1627 passengers with MSE equal to 10210 and MAPE is 4.01%.

Abstract

The Poisson regression is generally used to analyze the response variable that is a discrete data. Poisson regression has assumption which must be met, that is condition equidispersion. But in fact this assumption is often violated, that is the value of the variance is greater or less than the mean value. The condition when value of the variance is greater than the mean value is called overdispersion. One method that can be used for overdispersion data is Generalized Poisson regression. In this research, it was found that the Generalized Poisson regression method was better than Poisson regression method.
