Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh lama penyimpanan terhadap kualitas telur ayam kampung dari kelompok peternak ayam buras mertasari Abiansemal Badung. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Teknologi Hasil Ternak dan Mikrobiologi Fakultas Peternakan selama 1 bulan. Penelitian ini menggunakan sampel telur ayam kampung sebanyak 60 butir. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan empat perlakuan yaitu penyimpanan 0 hari, penyimpanan selama 7 hari, 14 hari dan 21 hari disimpan pada suhu kamar rata-rata 250C  dan ulangan sebanyak 3 kali. Variabel yang diamati pada uji kualitas telur adalah ; berat telur, indeks bentuk telur, tebal kulit telur, berat kulit telur, warna kuning telur, Haugh Unit telur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa lama penyimpanan berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap warna kuning telur dan Haugh Unit telur. Sedangkan terhadap berat telur, indeks bentuk telur, berat kulit telur dan tebal kulit telur tidak menunjukan perbedaan yang nyata (P>0,05). Dari hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa penyimpanan telur ayam kampung yang dipelihara dari kelompok peternak ayam buras Mertasari Abiansemal Badung yang disimpan selama 7, 14 dan 21 hari masih memiliki kualitas internal yang baik berdasarkan nilai HU 72,68 tergolong kualitas AA.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the carcass parts of quail aged 6 weeks given dragon fruit peel juice. This research was conducted in December 2020 at Mr. Anwar House, Pasraman Unud Housing, Blok F-30 and Poultry Laboratory, Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Udayana University. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with four treatments and four replications. The four treatments were: water without dragon fruit peel juice or control (P0), drinking water given dragon fruit peel juice as much as 1% (P1), drinking water given dragon fruit peel juice as much as 2% (P2), drinking water given dragon fruit peel juice as much as 3% (P3). The variables observed were cut weight, carcass weight, carcass percentage and carcass chips (chest, back, wings, thighs). The results of giving dragon fruit peel juice in this study showed that the cut weight, carcass weight, carcass percentage and carcass weight (chest, back, wings, thighs) were not significantly different (P> 0.05) in all treatments. The conclusion of this study showed that giving dragon fruit peel juice with a concentration of 0%,1%, 2% and 3% in drinking water has no effect on cut weight, carcass weight, carcass percentage, and percentage of carcass parts (chest, back, wings, thigh) 6 week old quail. Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the performance of quails aged 1 - 5 weeks which were given dragon fruit peel juice through drinking water. The experimental design used was a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of 4 treatments and 4 replications, each of which consisted of 5 quails. This study used 80 quails of Cotunix coturnix japonica which were 1 week old. The treatments given were: drinking water without dragon fruit peel juice (P0), drinking water with 1% dragon fruit peel juice (P1), drinking water with 2% dragon fruit peel juice (P2), drinking water with 3% dragon fruit peel juice (P3). The variables observed included initial body weight, ration consumption, drinking water consumption, body weight gain, final body weight and FCR. The results showed that each variable of initial weight, ration consumption, drinking water consumption, body weight gain, final body weight and FCR treatment 0%, 1%, 2% and 3% were not significantly different (P>0.05). Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the provision of dragon fruit peel juice 1%, 2% and 3% through drinking water does not affect ration consumption, drinking water consumption, body weight gain, final body weight and FCR in Coturnix coturnix japonica quails aged 1-5 weeks. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of storage for 14 days at room temperature on the external and internal quality of duck eggs in Jimbaran. The study was conducted in Jimbaran area and analysis of egg’s sample was carried out at the Poultry Laboratory, Animal Husbandry Departement, Udayana University for three weeks. The research design was using Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 3 treatments eggs without storage as a control (P1), 7 days of egg storage (P2), and 14 days (P3), each treatment using 6 replications. Variables observed based on external quality included egg weight and egg shape index, and internal quality included egg yolk, Haugh unit (HU), and egg pH. The results showed that egg HU at 14 days storage had an average of 7,88% significantly lower (P<0,05) than control and egg HU at 14 days storage had an average of 6,02% significantly lower (P<0,05) compared to 7 days storage. Egg HU control and 7 days storage statistics showed no significant difference (P>0,05). According to egg weight, egg shape index, egg yolk color, and egg pH for 7 days and 14 days storage treatment gave results that were not significantly different (P>0,05). Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the storage of duck eggs for 7 days and 14 days at room temperature 280C in Jimbaran region do not reduce egg weight, egg shape index, yolk color and egg pH, but storage of duck eggs for 14 days decreases the value of Haugh unit (HU). Duck eggs are still suitable for consumption for 14 days of storage with A egg grade. Keywords: duck eggs, storage time, egg quality

Abstract

This study aims to determine the egg quality of Japanese quail (Coturnix-coturnix japonica) given dragon fruit peel juice in drinking water. The design used was Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with four (4) treatments and four (4) replications, each replication consisted of 5 quails aged 6-10 weeks. The four treatments were: P0: drinking water without dragon fruit peel juice or control, P1: drinking water given dragon fruit peel juice as much as 1%, P2: drinking water given dragon fruit peel juice as much as 2%, P3: drinking water given dragon fruit skin juice as much as 3%. The variables observed were egg weight, egg shell weight, egg shell thickness, egg white weight, egg yolk weight, egg yolk color, HU (Haugh Unit), egg pH. The results obtained from the treatment of P0 drinking water without dragon fruit peel juice, P1 (1% dragon fruit peel juice on drinking water), P2 (2% dragon fruit peel juice on drinking water), P3 (3% dragon fruit peel juice on drinking water). That showed eggs quality such as: egg weight, egg shell eight, egg shell thickness, egg white weight, egg yolk weight, egg yolk color, HU (Haugh Unit) and pH were not statistically significant (P>0,05) between treatments. The conclusion of this study is giving gragon fruit peel juice 0%, 1%, 2%, and 3% through drinking water had the same value on in japanese quail (Coturnix-coturnix japonica) eggs. The design used a completely randomized design (CRD) with four treatments and four replications. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemanfaatan pemberian coating minyak zaitun, dan perlakuan coating minyak kelapa sebagai dasar untuk mempertahankan kualitas serta daya simpan telur ayam ras. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Laboratorium Teknologi Hasil Ternak dan Mikrobiologi Fakultas Peternakan Universitas Udayana, berlokasi di Jalan P.B Sudirman, Denpasar. Penelitian dilaksanakan selama 40 hari. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) pola faktorial terdiri atas 2 faktor yaitu; faktor pertama adalah telur dengan coating yaitu telur dengan perlakuan tanpa coating (TC), telur dengan perlakuan coating minyak zaitun (DCz), dan telur dengan perlakuan coating minyak kelapa (DCk). Faktor kedua adalah lama simpan pada suhu ruang (27) yaitu penyimpanan hari ke-0, 10, 20, 30, dan 40. Dengan 3 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan, dan setiap ulangan menggunakan 3 butir telur ayam lohmann brown sehingga jumlah telur yang digunakan sebanyak 180 butir telur. Variabel yang diamati adalah berat telur, warna kuning telur, indeks kuning telur, haugh unit, dan pH telur. Data yang diperoleh di analisis menggunakan ANOVA dan uji Duncan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan coating minyak zaitun dan coating minyak kelapa dimasa simpan 30 dan 40 hari terhadap berat telur, warna kuning telur, indeks kuning telur, dan haugh unit memiliki hasil yang berbeda nyata (P<0,05) lebih tinggi dibandingkan perlakuan tanpa coating, sedangkan pH telur dari perlakuan coating minyak zaitun dan coating minyak kelapa lebih rendah dibandingkan perlakuan tanpa coating namun memberikan hasil yang berbeda nyata (P<0,05). Hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemanfaatan coating minyak zaitun dan minyak kelapa dapat meningkatkan kualitas telur dan daya simpan ayam ras sampai 30 dan 40 hari. Abstract

A study aimed to determine performance of kampong chicken age 2 – 8 weeks given ration containing dragon skin fruit meal fermented Saccharomyces cerevisiae with level 5%, 7%, and 9%. The Study was conducted at research station Faculty of Animal Science, Udayana University Jimbaran, Badung, Bali for 2 month. The study used Randomized complete design (RCD) with 4 treatmens and 5 replicated. Those treatments as follows RKBN0 : Rations without fermented of skin dragon fruits and whereas RKBN1, RKBN2, and RKBN3 contained 5%, 7% and 9% fermented of skin dragon fruit respectively. Variables observed were final weight, weight gain, feed consumption and feed conversion ratio/FCR. Result showed that fed ration containing dragon skin fruit meal fermented Saccharomyces cerevisiae with level 7% (RKBN2) and 9% (RKBN3) decrease (P<0,05) feed consumtion ration were 4,41% and 7,45% respectively, but no effect for final body weight, weight gain, and FCR of kampong chicken age 2 – 8 weeks. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh ekstrak buah naga (Hylocereus polyhizius) dalam air minum terhadap kualitas telur ayam Isa Brown umur 25-30 minggu.Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Kandang Fakultas Peternakan, Kampus Bukit Jimbaran, berlangsung selama 5 minggu. Uji kualitas telur dilakukan di Laboratorium Ternak Unggas, Fakultas Peternakan, Kampus Sudirman, Denpasar.Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah, Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) terdiri dari 2 perlakuan ayam Isa Brown diberikan 0% ekstrak buah naga dalam air minum (R0) dan ayam Isa Brown diberikan 5% ekstrak buah naga dalam air minum (R1), masing-masing perlakuan diulang9 kalisetiap ulangan terdiri dari 3 ekor ayam petelur Isa Brown sehingga total ayam yang digunakan sebanyak 54 ekor. Variabel yang diamati adalah kualitas eksternal meliputi berat telur dan indeks telur, dan kualitas internal meliputi tebal kerabang telur, berat kerabang telur, pH, warna kuning telur, haugh unit (HU). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa berat telur, tebal kerabang telur, berat kerabang telur, warna kuning telur dan haugh unit (HU) perlakuan R1 nyata (P<0,05) lebih baikdi bandingkan dengan perlakuan R0. Sedangkan indeks telur dan pH telur pada perlakuan R0 tidaknyata (P>0,05) di bandingkan R1. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa Ayam Isa Brown dengan pemberian 5% ekstrak buah naga dalam air minum dengan ransum komersialmemberikan kualitas yang lebih baik terhadap berat telur, tebal kerabang telur, berat kerabang telur, warna kuning telur dan haugh unit (HU) dan tidak berpengaruh terhadap indeks bentuk telur dan pH telur. Abstract

This research hass been done in Mr. Budiono house which stay in Sidorejo Village, Rowokangkung District, Lumajang City, and this research in 1,5 mounth. This research progam is used Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 4 treatment and 4 repetition and the contained in every repetition is 15 egg duck. P0 treatment as control (duck egg sprayed with warm water 38 oC), P1 (salt solution with dose 10 g/liter warm water 38 oC), P2 (salt solution with dose 20 g/liter warm water 38 oC), P3 (salt solution with dose 30 g/liter warm water 38 oC). The variable observed is egg weight, eeg indexs, fertility, egg shrinkage, DOD weight, mortality and hatchability. The result of research indicate the influence of spraying hybrid duck eeg with salt water to P0, P1 treatment and P3 not diffirent obvious (P>0,05) toward eeg weight, eeg index, fertility, eeg shrinkage and DOD weight but on P2 treatment real influence (P<0,05) toward mortality and hatchability. The conclusion of this research is influence of spraying hybrid egg duck with salt water on control consentration (P0), 10 g/liter warm water 38 oC (P1), and 30 g/liter warm water 38 oC (P3) hass not effect toward egg weight, egg index, fertility, shrinkage and DOD weight, but salt consentration 20 g/liter warm water 38 oC (P2) reduce embrio mortality during hatchability processed and increase egg hatchability.
