Abstract

Implementation of cultural tourism development program in Bedulu village aims to strengthen community empowerment through the development of cultural tourism in accordance with the vision and mission aimed at strengthening village management system; Increasing public participation in tourism activities and development; Improve self-financing and self-help communities and to improve the welfare of the community as well as increasing the original income of Gianyar regency. The implementation approach model includes 1) Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) model; 2) Model of Entrepreneurship Capacity Building (ECB), and 3) Transfer Technology Model (TT). Implementation of the program include: 1) Identification of tourism potential at Tourism Attraction Goa Gajah Temple, Relief of Yeh Pulu, Samuan Tiga Temple, and Tegallinggah Cliff Temple; 2) Focus Group Discussion (FGD) with relevant stakeholders on potential and strategic issues of cultural tourism development based on local wisdom in Bedulu Village; 3) Training of Packaging Cultural Tour Packages in Bedulu Village; 4) Technical Training for Tour Guide in Bedulu Village; 5) Making of Guide Book; 6) Making Bedouin Tourism Brochure; 7) Practical English Training in Bedulu Village; 8) Homestay Management Training in Bedulu Village; 9) Culinary Development Training of Bedulu Village; 10) Village Tourism Management in Bedulu Village. The outputs generated in these community service activities include guidebooks; Brochures in English and Japanese; Tutorial on website management; Marketing of tourist attraction located in Bedulu Village through the website, Instagram social media, and video uploaded on YouTube; Capacity building and knowledge as well as community capacity with various training provided.

Abstract

Community service which carried out in Pelaga village, Petang, Badung aims to provide a wide space for local people to organizes and improves the system of management of eco tourism and to increases the participation of local communities in tourism development in Pelaga village through the well – packaging of eco tourism. In order to increase the income of local communities in Pelaga village, it is important to held this community empowerment through the utilization of its potencies, and then package it, as a valuable tourism product as well as to improve the finance and the power sources of those communities, also as a support of the tourism development in Badung. The targets of the activities of community service are the ecotourism manager and the young generations of Pelaga village. The approaching models are: 1. Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) Model, (2) Entrepreneurship Capacity Building (ECB) Model, (3) Knowledge/Technology Transfer Model. Some activities have been done in KKN – PPM program in Pelaga village, in order to address the various problems of eco – tourism faced by the local communities of Pelaga village, such as: Setting – up a sort of a foundation to manage the eco – tourism in Pelaga village, tour guide training for the local communities, packaging training in how to package the coffee processed products into tourism products, English for tourism courses, and provide the local communities houses as home stays for the tourists

Abstract

The activities of shopping trips into one of the attractions which is most favorite by domestic tourists. It can be seen from the percentage of domestic tourists who’s doing activity for shopping tour that is equal to 35 percent. The tourism shopping center that are currently being developed and are Frequently visited by domestic tourists is Rama Krishna Oleh-Oleh Khas Bali as a tourism shopping center of handicrafts from Bali with modern nuances. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors influencing the domestic tourists decision who’s doing activities for shopping trips and also determine the dominant factors that influence the domestic tourists decision for shopping trips in Rama Krishna Oleh-Oleh Khas Bali. This research using purposive sampling with distributing questionnaires to 374 respondents who traveled shopping at Rama Krishna Oleh-Oleh Khas Bali. The data were collection by observation, questionnaire interview, and library research. This research is being tested first for its validity and reliability before being by factor analysis. The results of this research showed that 18 variables were identified, 15 variables were selected into the three factors that influence the domestic tourists decision for shopping trips. Those factors consist of psychological factors with eigenvalue of 5.587, situational factors with eigenvalue of 1.594, and external factors with eigenvalue of 1.117. From the result of analysis factors well known that the most dominant factor were influencing domestic tourists decision for shopping trips in Rama Krishna Oleh-Oleh Khas Bali is a psychological factor because it has the highest eigenvalue of all factors that have been formed. The variables included in the psychological factors are: motivation, personality, learning, attitudes, and perceptions.

Abstract

Bali has an attractive spot for South Korean tourists who are traveling to see their beautiful sceneries. Based on visitor statistics report as a result, the number of South Korean tourists has decreased significantly, and make an impact to tour guides in Bali. Tour guide becomes one of important profession to promote Bali as a tourist destination. The objectives of this research are to recognize a Korean tour guide’s attitude towards South Korean tourists in Bali and the motivation that makes them survived in this industry. This research applies a qualitative descriptive analysis method with Likert scales. Its samples have chosen by purposive sampling with the amount of 100 tour guides in Bali. Data collection techniques are conducted using observation, questionnaires, interviews, literature studies, and documentation. The results of the research are divided into three indicators namely, cognitive, affective, conative and it shows from attitude variable, the indicator dominates with very agree statement is few of South Korea tourists who visit Bali with score 4.11. Meanwhile, in motivation variable are divided into two indicators namely pull and push factor. The results are tour guides becomes an activity to support their family is a pull factor and there is job opportunity become a tour guide is a push factor indicator.

Abstract

Bali has a variety of tourist products and attractions that are very interesting. One of the tourism products offered by tour operators in Bali is bicycle tours in Sanur Beach Area. Consumer behavior is a process that is closely related to the buying process. This study aims to analyze the psychological factors of foreign tourists on bicycle tours in the Sanur Beach area of ??Bali. These psychological factors are divided into three factors, namely motivation factors, perception factors and attitude factors. Respondents used were foreign tourists who were on a bicycle trip on Sanur Beach. Total respondents were 120 people determined by non purposive sampling technique. Data analysis used quantitative descriptive analysis techniques with Likert scale and data processing through validity, reliability and factor analysis tests supported by SPSS version 17.0 for Windows. The results show that the psychological factors of tourists in bicycle tours consist of three factors, namely motivation factors, perception factors and attitude factors. And each factor has an indicator. Based on factor analysis, it was found that there were two psychological factors that influenced the decision of foreign tourists on bicycle tours in Sanur Beach with a loading factor of 60,127%. The first factor was named the previous experience factor with a value of 7.215 and the second factor was named the family encouragement factor with a value of 1,063 based on these two factors, the dominant factor is the previous experience factor with an eigenvalue of 7,215 and has a variance percentage value of 60,127% with these results it is advisable for bike rental parties in Sanur Beach to pay more attention to bicycle rental prices to foreign tourists.

Abstract

Millennial recently became a trend in tourism. Millennials were born in 1980 to 2004, they grew up as digital natives, and have a consumptive nature where they do not hesitate to spend a certain amount of money to please themselves such as traveling, both at home and abroad. One of the countries that is a favorite destination for millennial Indonesian tourists when traveling abroad is Singapore. In addition to its close location, Singapore also has modern urban tourism attractions and technologies that match the millennial character. These facts became the background of this research; characteristics, travel patterns, and activities of millennial Indonesian tourists while traveling in Singapore. This research uses descriptive qualitative data analysis. The sample was determined purposively, totaling 105 millennial tourists from Indonesia who had traveled to Singapore. The data collection technique was done by using an online questionnaire. The results showed that the characteristics of millennial Indonesian tourists in Singapore were female, aged 21 to 25 years, unmarried, had a Bachelor's degree and were a private employee. Most tourists are first time traveling to Singapore, stay in Singapore 3 to 7 days, come and travel with family, arranging their own trips, using the internet as a source of information and mostly using MRT (Mass Rapid Transit) as a mode of transportation while traveling in Singapore. There are two millennial Indonesian tourists’ travel patterns while traveling in Singapore, which are chaining loop pattern, and base site pattern. The most common millennial Indonesian tourists’ activities in Singapore is doing culinary tourism (75%), the second is shopping (66%), and the third is enjoying local cultures (51%).

Abstract

This study aims to find preferences of Middle Eastern tourists towards tourism products of Badung Regency and involved 100 purposively selected respondents. The data was collected through questionnaires then processed using crosstab analysis method and chi-square test. The results of this study are: 1) Characteristics of Middle Eastern tourists visiting Badung Regency are dominated by women, aged between 25 – 44 years, private employees, married, nationality of Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Egypt, purpose of visit for vacation, information about Bali from internet, mostly traveled by tour packages, length of stay between 4 - 6 days, and mostly it’s their first time visit to Bali. 2) Preferences as follows prefer for natural attractions, stay in Kuta/Legian area, prefer to use a car rental, reserved resort as their accommodation through booking services, dining at restaurants, a watersport as entertainment activities, online media as information services, tourism consulting services are Bali tourism research, do not use tourist flights, and do massages when traveling to Bali. The characteristics of Middle Eastern tourists that correlate with the preference of selection of tourist products in Badung Regency is; Age correlates with tourism consulting services. Jobs correlate with tourist transport services. Nationality correlates with tourism transportation services, travel services, accommodation provision, tourism consulting services, travel services, tirta tours, and spas. Resources correlate with tourist transportation services, and the provision of accommodation. Travel organizing correlates with tourist transportation services, travel services, food and beverage services, and travel services. Travel periods correlate with tourist attractions, and tourism consulting services. Periodic travel correlates with travel services.

Abstract

Bali have one city, it is Denpasar City, within tourism potencies that can be build to be package tours. Kesiman Traditional Village is one of many villages in Denpasar City that has many tourism potency, the potency is cultural tourism potencies that can be found, such as : art attraction, historical place, traditional fashion and food, villager activities based on culture, hospitality of the villagers. Those cultural Potencies which found in Kesiman Traditional Village can be pack to be cultural package tours. Regard to planning cultural package tour, the formulation of issues are : (1) What is the potencies that can be found in Kesiman Traditional Village, East Denpasar? (2) How the planning cultural package in Kesiman Traditional Village? The technique to collecting data did through observation, interviews, documentation, and books literature. The result of the research is known that Kesiman Traditional Village has cultural tourism potencies and those potencies can be package into cultural package tour, those are : Barong and Keris Dance, Wadah Maker, Pengrebongan Temple, Kesiman Castle, Odah Turut Balinese House, Balinese Dance and Music Lesson in Bale Banjar Ceramcam Kesiman, Made Sudyatmika Paint Lesson, Ananda Balinese Boutique, Kertalangu Tourist Village with jogging track surrounded by rice field, fishing pond, and World Peace Gong, and Kroya Kites House. Those potencies then package into planning cultural package tour in the form of tables, essay, and graphic. Those are package into cultural package tour, those are : (1) History and Spirit of Kesiman Cultural Tour, (2) Beautiful Art of Kesiman Cultural Tour, (3) Art and Local Activities of Kesiman Cultural Tour.

Abstract

Deviations in the behavior of foreign tourists often occur in Badung Regency. Forms of deviant behavior include aggressive behavior, behavior against authority, disrespectful behavior and stupid behavior. The need for a preventive social control effort in anticipating the occurrence of deviations in the behavior of foreign tourists in the future. Determination of informants using purposive sampling and snowball sampling. Data collection is done by observation, interviews, literature study, and documentation. Data analysis techniques using qualitative analysis with the creditability test and the dependability test. The discussion resulted in a model of the construction display framework of preventive social control in Badung Regency, which was formed based on facts or the phenomenon of behavior deviations that often occur. In the introduction of the forms of deviant behavior of foreign tourists there are 4 forms and have a total of 17 behaviors and the total forms of such deviations require social control with a preventive approach. In the preventive approach there are 10 ways that can control foreign tourists to deviate. The role of tourism stakeholders (local communities, government and tourism entrepreneurs) is needed to distribute Do's and Don't's in Bali brochures. The brochure will later contain supporting pictures or illustrations to attract the reader's interest, understand the meaning in each sentence. Preventive social control material by dividing 3 material is presented, namely: Do's in Bali, Do's in Bali, and Why in Bali. After the mechanism for distributing brochures is carried out by stakeholders and there is still a deviation of tourist behavior, the next stage of violators will be subject to sanctions.

Abstract

The increasing tourist attraction of tourists must be adjusted to the availability of tourism facilities, such as attractions, Facilities, Infratructure, Transportation, and Hospitality (AFITH). Therefore, tourism stakeholders are important to know what the tourists are interested in and preferred or better known for their preference. This research aims to determine the preferences and perception of foreign tourists when visiting Nusa Penida, Klungkung. The analysis techniques that used are quantitative descriptive with the calculation of cross and chi-square tabulation analysis and also use of Likert scale gauge to measure the perception of foreign tourists that visiting Nusa Penida, Klungkung. Respondents determined by an Accidental samplingtechnique 90 peoples of foreign tourists that visiting Nusa Penida, Klungkung. The characteristic of foreign tourists on this research dominated by male tourist in 26-35 years old, dominated by Germany’s tourist, with the education level dominated by bachelor, as an employee, and the status is single, which aims to holiday with a source of information on Internet/social media, long stay 3-4 days, first time visit, and expressed willing to visit Nusa Penida, Klungkung again in another opportunity. The preference of foreign tourists when visiting Nusa Penida is divided into several preferences such as tourist attractions are natural attractions, on the preferences of accommodation facilities, foreign tourists choose a homestay, and then the tourist prefer to choose a warung or traditional stalls, and the transportation that choosen by the tourist is motorcycle. Perception of tourists to infrastructure that includes network communication and availability of clean water, the perception of tourists to the road conditions in Nusa Penida is not good, perception of tourists towards Hospitality in tourist attractions, Hospitality in the accommodation, and local community Hospitality expressed well.
