Abstract

Millenialls Perception Of Work in Agricultural Sector (Case Study in Dalang Village, Selemadeg Timur District, Tabanan Regency). Millennials refers to generation of people born between 1980 until 2000 and characterized by high frequency use of technology, information and communication. The growth of technology, information and communication not only give positive effects to millennials, but also negative effects such as millennials’ bad perception of agriculture. The aims of this research are to analyze millennials’ perception on agriculture and also the reason of millennials working in agriculture in Dalang Village, Selemadeg Timur District, Tabanan Regency. A total sample of 84 persons were selected using non-proportional stratified random sampling and simple random sampling. Data were collected using survey method and descriptive statistic is used to analyze the data. This research shows that millennials’ perception of agriculture is bad, which mean they think that working in agricultural sector can’t give job satisfaction. This research also shows that millennials’ reasons to work in agricultural sector are because they lost their job during pandemic Covid-19, the lack of education and skills. Agriculture jobs is chosen to continue managing their family agricultural land as the last chances.

Abstract

Farmer Group Development Strategy Towards Independence (Case of Maroha Farmer Group in Sigapiton Village, Ajibata District, Toba-Samosir Regency) Maroha Farmer Group is one of the farmer groups in Sigapiton Village, Ajibata District, Toba Samosir Regency. The purpose of this study was to analyze (1) the internal factors contained in determining the empowerment strategy of the Maroha Farmer Group in Sigapiton Village, Ajibata District, Toba-Samosir Regency. (2) the external factors contained in determining the empowerment strategy of the Maroha Farmer Group in Sigapiton Village, Ajibata District, Toba-Samosir Regency and (3) to be able to analyze the development strategy towards independence of the Maroha Farmer Group in Sigapiton Village, Ajibata District, Toba- Samosir. The population in this study were members of the Maroha Farmer's Group in Sigapiton Village, amounting to 142 people, while the number of samples was 34 members of the Maroha Farmer Group in Sigapiton Village who became respondents. In formulating a strategy for developing the independence of the Maroha Farmer Group using a SWOT analysis. The results of the study found that in developing the independence of farmer groups, special attention was needed from all parties in carrying out each plan. Of course, it will help implement and control the programs and problems that exist in the farmer groups. Full encouragement is needed for the involvement of every stakeholder to increase farmer productivity developed in the Farmer Group. farmer groups need to carry out ideas in land management, the utilization of the funding budget that is calibrated and implemented as effectively as possible. It aims to be able to increase the income of farmers. The budgeted funding would be able to help farmers' productivity in improving land management, the availability of information and counseling about pests, distribution channel management also needs to be considered.

Abstract

Behavior of Farmers in the Application of Organic Farming Systems in Mertha Sarining Bhuana Farmers Group Bangli Village, Baturiti District, Tabanan Regency Organic farming systems have a positive impact on the environment and farming activities compared to conventional farming. However, in reality, the application of organic farming systems has not been fully implemented, therefore it is necessary to have sufficient knowledge to form positive attitudes of farmers and good actions in an effort to implement organic farming systems in their own environment. This study aims to determine the level of knowledge, attitudes, and actions of farmers in the application of organic farming systems in the Mertha Sarining Bhuana farmer group, Bangli Village, Baturiti District, Tabanan Regency. Sampling with a saturated sampling method with the number of respondents 23 people. The data analysis method used is qualitative descriptive analysis. The results of the analysis show that the level of knowledge of farmers about organic farming systems is in the moderate category with a total score of 859, while the attitudes of farmers are in the agree on category with a total score of 1181, and the actions of farmers are in the sufficient category with a total score of 717. and the behavior of farmers regarding organic farming systems is in the moderate category. in the good category with a total score of 2,764. Based on the results of this study, the behavior of farmers is expected to support agricultural development by implementing organic farming systems in the surrounding environment.

Abstract

Family Welfare Empowerment Strategy (PKK) in Improving Family Economy Sipinggan Lumbansiantar Village, Nainggolan District, Samosir Regency Family Welfare Empowerment (PKK) is an organization engaged in community development, with 25 members domiciled in Sipinggan Lumbansiantar Village. Its existence is expected to increase the creativity of the community so that it can improve the family’s economy by utilizing the yard they have. The objectives of the study include identifying internal and external factors and developing PKK strategies. Research methods include. (1) interviews with respondents and key informants, (2) analysis of the IFAS and EFAS matrices, (3) formulating strategies with SWOT. The results showed that the internal factor that became the strength was that farming could help the PKK family’s economy in Sipinggan Lumbansiantar Village. The internal factor that becomes a weakness is that the members have less creativity. Meanwhile, the external factor that becomes an opportunity is the availability of tradisional markets as a place to sell the products produced. External factors that pose a threat are the incitement that the PKK is considered a waste of time and people who prefer to buy instant ones rather that using their home yards. The Family Welfare Empowerment Strategy (PKK) in improving the family economy of Sipinggan Lumbansiantar Village was obtained from SWOT.

Abstract

Tantangan pembangunan pertanian Indonesia saat ini adalah perubahan iklim dan potensi kekeringan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pembangunan pertanian modern di Desa Gobleg Kecamatan Banjar Kabupaten Buleleng. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Penentuan informan dengan metode snowball sampling dan pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara mendalam,observasi, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan analisis model interaktif Miles, Huberman dan Saldana (2014). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pemilihan komoditas berdasarkan pada potensi pendapatan, permintaan pasar, pengetahuan, karakteristik lahan dan sosial budaya. Proses produksi mulai dari pengolahan lahan sampai pasca panen. Petani sudah menerapkan pertanian ramah lingkungan dengan menerapkan fertigasi berbasis IoT. Penerapan fertigasi berbasis IoT memiliki keunggulan diantaranya efiesiensi penggunaan air, pupuk, tenaga kerja dan waktu sehingga pertanian lebih presisi. Dukungan kelembagaan terdiri dari pemasaran, permodalan, bimbingan teknis dan modal sosial. Pemasaran produk difasilitasi oleh koperasi PMK Gobleg bekerjasama dengan PT Bali Organik Subak, pemasaran dilakukan secara online dengan aplikasi Bos Fresh. Koperasi memberikan fasilitasi sarana produksi dengan sistem pembayaran setelah panen. Dari segi modal sosial, petani masih eksis melakukan gotong royong dalam pengolahan lahan. Melek teknologi petani sudah mampu memanfaatkan teknologi seperti smartphone yang terintegrasi dengan fertigasi berbasis IoT.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi komunikasi Penyuluh Pertanian Lapangan (PPL) dalam diseminasi peningkatan produktivitas padi di Subak Anggabaya serta mengidentifikasi hubungannya dengan perubahan perilaku petani dan peningkatan produktivitas padi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah survei dengan pendekatan ex post facto, serta analisis data deskriptif dan Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi komunikasi PPL yang meliputi aspek perencanaan sumber daya komunikasi, manajemen sumberdaya komunikasi, dan taktik operasional komunikasi, berada dalam kategori sedang dengan skor 65,86%, yang mencerminkan efektivitas perencanaan, manajemen, dan taktik komunikasi penyuluhan masih perlu dioptimalkan dalam mendukung peningkatan produktivitas padi di Subak Anggabaya. Perubahan perilaku petani berada dalam kategori sedang dengan skor 67,71%, yang mencakup aspek pengetahuan, sikap, keterampilan, dan adopsi inovasi pertanian terkait peningkatan produktivitas padi. Peningkatan produktivitas padi setelah penyuluhan berada dalam kategori sedang dengan skor 66,15% yang diukur dari aspek persentase perubahan produktivitas padi dari musim tanam sebelumnya, produksi padi, efektivitas penggunaan sarana produksi, intensitas budidaya, serta keuntungan usaha tani yang diukur dengan rasio biaya dan keuntungan (B/C ratio). Hasil penelitian menunjukan produktivitas padi, tingkat produksi dan keuntungan usaha tani masih dalam kategori sedang dan masih memerlukan optimalisasi lebih lanjut. Apek utama yang berkontribusi terhadap peningkatan produktivitas adalah efektivitas penggunaan sarana produksi dan intensitas budidaya padi. Hasil analisis SEM menunjukkan bahwa strategi komunikasi PPL memiliki hubungan positif dengan perubahan perilaku petani, yang selanjutnya memiliki hubungan positif dengan peningkatan produktivitas padi. Saran yang dapat diberikan dari penelitian ini perlu adanya peningkatan media komunikasi dan penguatan evaluasi penyuluhan dalam mendukung penguatan strategi penyuluh pertanian dalam mencapai tujuan, perlu adanya peningkatan akses terhadap sarana produksi bagi petani serta perlu adanya penelitian lanjutan dalam mendukung penelitian ini.

Abstract

Entrepreneurial characteristics have an important role in improving business performance, especially for business actors. These characteristics are able to show that entrepreneurship is a practical thing to overcome problems that exist in the business. The purpose of this study is to analyze the relationship between entrepreneurial marketing, entrepreneurial leadership, and entrepreneurial self-efficacy, and business performance through the entrepreneurial competence of ornamental plant traders in East Denpasar District, Denpasar City. The sample in this study was taken using the probability sampling method, namely simple random sampling with a total of 68 respondents. The research data was obtained from the results of the survey, namely structured interviews using questionnaire tools and in-depth interviews by providing a list of questions to complement the data obtained from the results of structured interviews. This study was analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis methods and inferential statistics with SmartPLS 4 software. The results of the study show that entrepreneurial characteristics consisting of entrepreneurial marketing, entrepreneurial leadership, and entrepreneurial self-efficacy are significantly related to business performance through entrepreneurial competence in ornamental plant traders in East Denpasar District, Denpasar City. Traders are expected to be able to continue the implementation of these three entrepreneurial characteristics, namely by marketing innovative ornamental plants, organizing business runs in a structured and sustainable manner, and improving experience in the field of ornamental plants through workshop activities.
