Abstract

This study aimed to: improve the activity and learning outcomes of students graders XI MA Tholabuddin Masin Warungasem on materials Trigonometry. This study is a Classroom Action Research consist of pre-cycle, cycle I and cycle II. The mean of test scores of pre-cycle 6,29. Students who get grades below 6,1 by 11 people or 45,83%. The results of this study have not been satisfaction and more than 50% of students who have not been thoroughly studied. The facts show that the students graders XI can not solve the given problem good, less willing to perform in front of the class, ask the teacher more less active, and unwilling to share their ideas. Therefore, to improve the activity and learning outcomes need to be applied model of cooperative learning type STAD. The results at cycle I show that mean the interaction of students 68,35% which the interaction of students with the teacher 65,42% and interactions between each students 71,28%. The mean of test quiz is 6,83. There are 3 groups as Good team, and 3 groups as Great Team. The mean of the test evaluation 6,94 with 70,83% completeness. The results of the reflection on cycle I still need the cycle process to show that the activity and learning outcomes improve as expected. The results at cicle II show that mean the interaction of students is 80,03% has achieved successfully which the interaction of students with teacher 78,96% and the interaction between students 81,10%. The mean of test quiz 8,04 with 3 groups as Good Team, and 3 groups as Great Team. The mean of test evaluation 7,95 with 87,5% completeness. The results of the reflection on cycle II show that the activity and learning outcomes of students with models of type STAD improves as expected. The results of calculation the response to the questionnaire that 89,59% of students satisfied with the cooperation in cooperative learning type STAD, 70,84% students brave to ask and respond the opinion, 83,34% students happy with the group award. Students clear with the material that has been delivered as much as 70,83%. Studentss are more motivated to learn as much as 87,5%. Students are satisfied with the quiz as much as 77,47%. Students are pleased with the presentations in class as much as 58,34%, and students are more appreciative of other student's opinions as much as 62,5%. It can be concluded that the learning of mathematics by using cooperative learning type STAD, activities and student learning outcomes can be improved or higher.

Abstract

AbstractThis study have the aim to determine what factors are influencing the low motivation of students in class XI. The study on grade XI students of SMA al-Fusha Pekalongan. Data collection using questionnaires. Interviews with 10% of all grade XI students to support the questionnaire data obtained. The results obtained are the factors that affect the low motivation of student learning such as place of learning, physical function, intelligence, facilities and infrastructure, time, study habit, teacher, parents, emotional and health, and friend factor.==================================================AbstrakPenelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui faktor apa saja-kah yang memepengaruhi rendahnya motivasi belajar siswa kelas XI. Penelitian dilakukan terhadap siswa kelas XI SMA al-Fusha Pekalongan. Pengumpulan data menggunakan angket. Wawancara dilakukan dengan 10% dari keseluruhan siswa kelas XI untuk mendukung data angket yang telah diperoleh. Diperoleh hasil yaitu faktor yang mempengaruhi rendahnya motivasi belajar siswa diantaranya tempat belajar, fungsi fisik, kecerdasan, sarana dan prasarana, waktu, kebiasaan belajar, guru, orang tua, emosional dan kesehatan, serta faktor teman.

Abstract

The background of this classroom action research is the low ability of mathematics problem solving students in class VIII SMP Cokroaminoto Batang which is caused by the learning model applied which is still teacher-centered, as well as the lack of learning media facilities for students when learning is carried out online. To solve this problem, a classroom action research was carried out through a problem based learning model based on the e-module rocky RME. This research was conducted in 2 cycles. The instruments used in this study were a test instrument for students' mathematical problem solving abilities and teacher activity observation sheets to determine the implementation of learning through problem based learning model based on RME assisted by e-module in mathematics learning. Data collection techniques used in this study were observation and test methods. Furthermore, data from observations and tests were analyzed descriptively quantitatively.The results showed that: (1) The students' mathematical problem solving abilities had increased with students who scored ≥ 75 as many as 83.44%; (2) Implementation of learning with a problem based learning model based on RME assisted by e-module with a score of 85.71%.

Abstract

In this study, we developed a learning media with the concept of gamification for plane geometry and examine the students’ responses to the media. Gamification is the concept of gamifying certain things to gain some engagement for that certain thing. In this study, we applied the gamification concept in a learning media for plane geometry. The media was made to fulfill scriteriarias of gamification which are challenges and levels. This study followed the research step of Borg the and Gall development research model which are: 1) potential and problems, 2) data collection, 3) product design, 4) design validation, 5) design improvement, 6) product trial, and 7) product revision. The media itself was made using PowerPoint and was converted to ppsx fie. For knowing the validation and practicality, we used the Likert scale. The result of the validation test is 83.44% based on 8 validators and for practicality is 90.90% based on 34 students of MTs IN Banyurip Ageng. This study concluded that the mathematics learning media with the concept of gamification had sufficient results by the very valid and very practical criteria to be used as a media for plane geometry.

Abstract

Artikel ini merupakan sebagian hasil penelitian pengembangan bahan ajar matematika berbasis masalah intrusi air laut. Bahan ajar tersebut perlu dikembangkan karena masalah intrusi air laut dan rob dinilai merupakan masalah yang dekat dengan warga Pekalongan, sehingga masalah intrusi air laut dan rob dapat digunakan sebagai pengantar pada pembelajaran matematika. Akan tetapi, sebelum dilakukan pengembangan bahan ajar, terlebih dahulu perlu diketahui pengetahuan awal siswa/mahasiswa mengenai masalah intrusi air laut dan rob. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengetahuan awal mahasiswa mengenai fenomena intrusi air laut dan rob. Pengetahuan awal yang dimaksud antara lain adalah pengertian intrusi air laut, pengertian rob, penyebab rob, dampak rob, dan cara menanggulangi rob. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan kuesioner yang kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Dari hasil analisis diperoleh bahwa sebanyak 73% responden belum pernah mendengar istilah intrusi air laut. Fakta lain yang diperoleh adalah bahwa sebanyak 73,38% responden familier dengan istilah rob tetapi hanya sebanyak 24% yang dapat memberikan definisi yang tepat tentang rob. Secara umum, mahasiswa responden juga belum mengetahui sepenuhnya penyebab, dampak, dan cara meminimalisir dampak rob. Dari hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengetahuan mahasiswa mengenai intrusi air laut dan rob masih kurang.

Abstract

Distance learning aims to break the spread of Covid-19 in Indonesian. Learning media is needed to deliver the material so that mathematical problem solving (MPS) abilities are better. This study aims: (1) to monitor the MPS abilities of students who used Google Classroom in SMP Negeri 5 Pekalongan with the help of animated videos to achieved KKM; (2) to found out the MPS abilities of students who used Google Classroom with the help of animated videos, it was better than those who used WhatsApp Group (WAG) with assignments. This type of research was a Posttest-Only Control Design. The research sample was taken through the cluster random sampling technique from all students of eight graders in SMP Negeri 5 Pekalongan. Data collection techniques were obtained through tests. Data analysis used the proportion test to determining student learning completeness and the mean difference test (test) to determine the difference in the mean between the two groups. The results of this study: (1) students’ MPS abilities used Google Classroom with the help of animated videos to achieved KKM; (2) students’ MPS abilities used Google Classroom with the help of animated videos, it was better than those who used WAG with assignments.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masayarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pelatihan dan pendampingan dalam penyusunan laporan peneltian tindakan kelas (PTK). Peserta pelatihan ini merupakan guru di SMP Negeri 13 Pekalongan yang berjumlah 30 orang. Pelatihan dilakukan secara daring dan luring selama tiga kali pertemuan yang bertujuan menghasilkan laporan PTK sesuai permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh masing-masing guru. Hasil pelatihan menunjukan guru harus lebih meningkatkan pemahamannya terutama terkait mengidentifikasi permasalahan pembelajaran, menganalisis hasil PTK dan meningkatkan kesadaran dalam melaksanakan PTK.This community service activity aims to provide training and assistance in the preparation of classroom action research reports (CAR). The participants of this training are teachers at SMP Negeri 13 Pekalongan, totaling 30 people. The training was conducted online and offline for three meetings aimed at producing CAR reports according to the problems faced by each teacher. The results of the training show that teachers must further improve their understanding, especially regarding identifying learning problems, analyzing CAR results and increasing awareness in implementing Classroom Action Research.

Abstract

Alat peraga matematika merupakan alat bantu yang digunakan untuk memudahkan pembelajaran matematika. Garis bilangan merupakan alat peraga matematika yang digunakan untuk mempermudah guru dalam mengajarkan konsep bilangan khususnya bilangan bulat. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan guru dalam membuat dan memperagakan alat peraga garis bilangan sehingga dapat meningkatkan kompetensi professional guru. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan melalui pelatihan pembuatan alat peraga garis bilangan dan di presentasikan didepan peserta pelatihan yang lain. Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh 25 guru MI di Pekalongan yang sangat antusias dengan pelatihan tersebut. Sebanyak 80% guru yang mengikuti mampu membuat dan memperagakan alat peraga garis bilangan sedangkan 20% yang lain masih perlu bimbingan dalam pembuatannya.

Abstract

Adanya covid-19 menyebabkan pemerintah megeluarkan kebijakan pembelajaran yang dilakukan secara daring. Dengan perubahan sistem pembelajaran secara mendadak menjadi tantangan tersendiri bagi guru. Kemudian muncul permasalahan di kalangan para guru yaitu kurangnya kemampuan guru untuk menguasai dan memanfaatkan teknologi elektronik dan membuat media pembelajaran. Oleh karena itu akan dilaksanakan pelatihan yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan guru dalam mempraktikkan materi pembuatan media pembelajaran dan media penilaian. Pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian ini berupa pelatihan yang diselenggarakan selama 8 kali pertemuan. Metode pelaksanaan dalam pelatihan ini adalah metode demonstrasi dan praktik. Setelah dilakukaan praktik tiap Hasil yang diperoleh adalah 26 guru sudah dapat mempraktikkan materi yang disampaikann dengan baik. Dengan demikian pelatihan ini sebaiknya dilanjutkan dengan materi yang lebih mendalam dan yang mengikuti kegiatan ini

Abstract

Learning assessment is expected to assist students in improving higher order thinking skills (HOTS). In accordance with these conditions, teachers are also required to be able to develop HOTS-based questions as an assessment instrument. This training activity aims to provide training and assistance to teachers of SMP Negeri 1 Wiradesa regarding the development of HOTS-based questions consisting of the concept of HOTS questions, the characteristics of HOTS questions, and how to develop them. The methods used in this training include planning, implementing and evaluating training. The training participants amounted to 46 teachers who were teachers of SMP Negeri 1 Wiradesa. The results of this training activity are teachers can find out how to develop HOTS-based questions and can practice them according to the subjects taught. keyword: Development, Questions, HOTS
