Abstract

Desa Penglipuran merupakan desa wisata yang terletak di Kabupaten Bangli, Bali. Desa ini sering dikunjungi oleh wisatawan, salah satunya dari Jepang. Namun kurangnya pemahaman tentang bahasa Jepang menyebabkan kurang maksimalnya dalam memasarkan produk usaha kepada wisatawan Jepang. Melihat kondisi seperti ini, tim pelaksana pengabdian terjun ke lapangan untuk memberikan pelatihan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menulis huruf Jepang katakana. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan setiap minggu selama delapan kali dimulai tanggal 20 Juni 2021 sampai 8 Agustus 2021. Adapun sasaran dari kegiatan ini adalah Pokdarwis (kelompok sadar wisata) yang menetap di desa Penglipuran. Kegiatan ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berbahasa Jepang kepada Pokdarwis desa Penglipuran dalam mempromosikan usahanya. Kemudian memanfaatkan waktu luang akibat menurunnya jumlah wisatawan karena pandemi Covid-19. Dengan harapan ketika kondisi wisata sudah normal, Pokdarwis desa Penglipuran sudah memiliki kemampuan berbahasa Jepang yang mumpuni. Media yang digunakan adalah media kartu pembelajaran untuk mempermudah dalam mengingat huruf katakana. Dalam pelaksanaannya, tim pelaksana menggunakan media kartu untuk mengajak peserta untuk mengingat kembali huruf yang telah dijelaskan sebelumnya. Media kartu digunakan sebagai bentuk latihan membaca dan menulis kosakata menggunakan huruf katakana. Untuk membuat kegiatan pengajaran menjadi lebih menarik dengan games, seperti tebak huruf, mencari huruf secara acak, dan sebagainya. Berdasarkan hasil kegiatan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa para peserta Pokdarwis desa Penglipuran yang sebelumnya tidak memahami penulisan huruf Jepang katakana menjadi terbantu melalui kegiatan pengabdian ini. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan 76.9% peserta sudah mampu membaca huruf katakana dan 53.8% peserta sudah mampu menulis dan membaca huruf katakana. Para peserta juga menjadi lebih tertarik dalam mempromosikan kegiatan pariwisata desa Penglipuran kepada wisatawan Jepang

Abstract

Abstract This article analyzes the ego defense mechanisms employed by Yuji Itadori, the main character in the first season of the anime Jujutsu Kaisen, using Sigmund Freud's theory of ego defense mechanisms. The study explores how Yuji navigates internal and external conflicts arising from his new role as the vessel for Sukuna, the King of Curses. The analysis reveals that Yuji utilizes various ego defense mechanisms, such as repression, sublimation, projection, and displacement, to maintain his psychological balance. This study provides insight into how fictional characters can represent the complexity of human emotions. Keywords: ego defense, personality, literary psychology

Abstract

Jepang terkenal dengan budayanya yang sangat beragam, salah satu budaya yang terkenal di Jepang adalah anime. Anime merupakan salah satu karya sastra yang berupa sekumpulan gambar-gambar yang kemudian dianimasikan. Salah satu anime yang populer di Jepang adalah Naruto, Anime Naruto bercerita tentang tokoh utamanya yaitu Naruto Uzumaki, seorang ninja yang periang, hiperaktif, dan memiliki ambisi untuk mewujudkan keinginannya menjadi seorang Hokage, atau pemimpin dan ninja terkuat di desanya. Dalam serial anime Naruto karakter Uchiha Itachi diperlihatkan sebagai karakter antagonis, Hal ini dikarenakan tokoh Uchiha Itachi disebut menjadi dalang atas terbunuhnya kedua orang tuanya dan pembantaian kepada seluruh klan Uchiha yang merupakan klannya sendiri. Karena konflik batin yang dialami Uchiha Itachi, penulis tertarik untuk melakukan penelitian mengenai tema tersebut berdasarkan teori konflik Kurt Lewin. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis simak dan catat dan menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Tokoh Uchiha Itachi mengalami beberapa konflik batin diantaranya adalah 3 konflik tipe I yaitu, 2 konflik menjauh-menjauh (Avoidance-Avoidance conflict), 1 Konflik mendekat-menjauh (Approach Avoidance conflict), dan 2 konflik tipe II.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and identify the use of language styles in the song "Kuyamu to Kaite Mirai." Language style refers to the technique of utilizing the richness of language, both in written works and oral communication, to create deeper aesthetic and communicative effects. In song lyrics, the use of language style becomes a crucial element that can strengthen the meaning and artistic appeal of a literary work. This research employs Gorys Keraf's language style theory as the theoretical foundation for classifying and identifying language styles. The study utilizes a descriptive qualitative research method with primary data sources consisting of the lyrics of "Kuyamu to Kaite Mirai." The qualitative approach was chosen to enable in-depth analysis of figurative language usage within the song lyrics. The research findings reveal the presence of five types of language styles employed in the lyrics of "Kuyamu to Kaite Mirai." The identified language styles include asyndeton, assonance, erotesis, metaphor, and simile. Asyndeton was found in the use of word sequences without conjunctions to create dramatic effects. Assonance was identified through the repetition of vowel sounds that create sound harmony. The esoteric figurative language style emerges in the use of the particle の at the end of sentences, indicating that this verse constitutes an interrogative sentence. Metaphors and similes are employed to create comparisons that strengthen the song's emotional meaning. The utilization of language styles in the lyrics of "Kuyamu to Kaite Mirai" functions not merely as aesthetic ornamentation, but also as a means to convey messages and emotions more effectively to listeners. This research is expected to contribute to the understanding of language style usage in popular music works and serve as a reference for similar studies in the future.

Abstract

This study discusses cultural elements in the Indonesian fairy tales of Si Kelingking and Issunboushi from Japan, focusing on the social organization system, livelihood, arts, religion, language, and technology system. A descriptive qualitative approach is used to analyze the similarities and differences between the two fairy tales. The results show that Si Kelingking emphasizes family-based and kingdom-based social organizations, and depicts a diversity of livelihoods through farming and hunting. In contrast, Issunboushi focuses more on agriculture as a source of livelihood. In terms of art, Si Kelingking displays a wedding feast that reflects the collective values ​​of society, while Issunboushi displays kenjutsu (martial arts) and waka (classical poetry), which emphasize philosophical values. In terms of religion, Si Kelingking reflects traditional beliefs based on myths and nature, while Issunboushi is influenced by Buddhist teachings with an emphasis on morality and spirituality. Another difference is seen in the use of language, where Si Kelingking uses Indonesian with Malay influences, while Issunboushi uses everyday Japanese. In terms of technology, Si Kelingking features simple elements such as "kerusung" clothing, village settlements, and horses, while Issunboushi highlights the more complex sokutai, goten, and ox carts. This study concludes that both fairy tales reflect unique local cultural values, while also showing how universal cultural elements can be adapted to the social, geographical, and historical contexts of each society. Abstract

This study examines the utilization of haiku as a form of response to postwar trauma through Kaneko Tota’s and Saito Sanki’s war-themed haiku. Following Japan’s defeat in World War II in 1945, a cultural shift occurred marked by transformation within traditional arts, particularly haiku, which became a significant medium for expressing traumatic historical and social experiences. Although both poets used haiku as a medium to express dissatisfaction and critique the socio-political conditions of the postwar period, they represented different generations and approaches in responding to postwar trauma. Saito, having directly experienced the trauma of war, developed a deconstructive strategy towards traditional haiku conventions. Meanwhile, Kaneko, belonging to the postwar generation, adopted a more radical approach in formal and semantic experimentation. These dual strategies not only embodied individual artistic responses to trauma but also contributed to a broader cultural project aimed at reconstructing Japan’s collective identity in the postwar era. Yuri Lotman’s cultural semiotics framework is employed to analyze the semiotic transformation dynamics in the poets' works. Lotman’s theory, with its key concepts of semiosphere, cultural text, and translation mechanisms, offers a comprehensive analytical tool for understanding the dynamics of sign systems and cultural meanings in World War II-themed haiku. From the analysis of five war-themed haiku, it is concluded that both poets constructed a collective trauma discourse. Rather than employing explicit descriptive narratives, the trauma discourse utilizes strong semiotic condensation strategies. Saito and Kaneko juxtaposed established cultural symbols and codes, such as Hiroshima as a metaphor of absolute destruction, the marathon as a symbol of life, breasts as a symbol of motherhood, and blooming flowers representing renewal into new surreal configurations that created novel meanings at the semiotic boundaries where tensions clashed.

Abstract

This research is entitled "Variety Changes in the Transformation of Kokuhaku Novel into Film". This research aims to describe the various changes that occur in the transformation of Kokuhaku's novel into film, so that readers and viewers can see the comparison of these two works objectively. The data sources for this research are the novel Kokuhaku by Minato Kanae and the film Kokuhaku directed by Tetsuya Nakashima. Kokuhaku is the debut novel of the famous Japanese writer Minato Kanae in the psychological thriller genre. Both the novel and the film of Kokuhaku have won awards that show the public's appreciation for these two literary works. The research method used is descriptive qualitative method. The theory used in this research is the theory of ecranization by Eneste. The results of this study indicate that there are various changes in the transformation of Kokuhaku's novel into the film, including that important objects in the story are highlighted, and some parts are made to be more dramatic. These changes are due to the difference in media between the two literary works. The purpose of these changes is to make it easier for the audience to remember important things in the storyline and identify the characters in the Kokuhaku film.

Abstract

PENERAPAN ATS SECARA DARING PADA MATA KULIAH BUNSHO HYOGEN Ni Luh Gede Meilantari Universitas Mahasaraswati Denpasar meilantari@unmas.ac.id ABSTRAK Sejak awal tahun 2020, terjadi pandemi yang bersifat global, yaitu Covid-19. Pandemi ini mengubah paradigma sosial di masyarakat. Di Indonesia sendiri, saat pertama kali ditemukan kasus Covid-19 pada bulan Maret 2020, pemerintah mengeluarkan kebijakan tentang pembatasan kegiatan masyarakat, termasuk kebijakan belajar dari rumah, secara onlineatau dalam jaringan (daring). Perubahan yang cepat dan mendadak ini mengakibatkan para pengajar dan pembelajar harus beradaptasi dengan pembelajaran daring. Perubahan dari pembelajaran konvensional ke pembelajaran daring juga memaksa pengajar harus kreatif serta inovatif dalam mengajar dan menyiapkan bahan ajar. Salah satu metode mengajar adalah Asesmen Teman Sejawat atau ATS. ATS atau teknik pengoreksian teman sejawat, menurut Kustati dan Suhardi (dalam Sholihah, 2018: 63) merupakan teknik kolaborasi yang membuat peserta didik lebih aktif dalam belajar menulis dengan melakukan kerjasama antar team untuk saling bertukar pikiran dan memberikan saran terhadap hasil tulisan mereka. Dengan beberapa kajian dan penelitian terdahulu, penelitian ini bermaksud mengetahui penerapan ATS di masa pandemi Covid-19 yang diterapkan secara daring (online) melalui google classroom pada kelas mengarang tingkat lanjutan (bunsho hyougen) di Program Studi Sastra Jepang Universitas Mahasaraswati Denpasar. Penerapan teknik ATS melalui google classroom pada pembelajaran Bunsho Hyougen berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan menulis siswa. Ini dibuktikan dari nilai rata-rata mahasiswa. Saat tugas pertama (karangan hanya diperiksa dosen), rata-rata nilai adalah 86,61. Kemudian meningkat menjadi 87,91 dan 88,7 di tugas kedua dan ketiga (karangan diperiksa dosen dan rekan sejawat).
