Abstract

The research that has been conducted is entitled "The Effect of the Outdoor Learning Method on the Ability to Write Descriptive Writing of Class IV Students at MIS YPI Batang Kuis" and is based on the phenomenon that the ability to write is still very limited, especially writing descriptive essays. In this case, it can result in student creativity not being able to develop optimally and find it difficult to find new ideas or ideas in the learning process. The research methodology used quantitative research quasi experiment design. The population in this study were all grade IV students of MIS YPI Batang Kuis consisting of IV A and IV B totalling 47 students. The sampling technique was carried out by Non Probability Sampling, through the form of total sampling (Boring Sampling). That is, choosing a sample with all the population being sampled and the population can only be two classes. This research instrument is in the form of a description essay writing test and documentation. Data processing tools use data requirement tests and t tests. The results of the study revealed that (1) the average pre-test of the experimental class was 65.09 while the average pretest of the control class was 64.21, (2) the average posttest of the experimental class after being given treatment in the form of learning using outdoor learning methods was obtained at 83.12 while the average posttest of the control class was given treatment in the form of conventional learning obtained an average of 72.54 Thus it can be concluded that the average posttest of the experimental class is higher than the average posttest of the control class. (3) The results of the t test calculation obtained tcount greater than ttable (2.915> 2.074), so it can be concluded that Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. Based on the research findings above, it follows that the use of outdoor learning methods in the learning process has an effect on the ability to write descriptive essays in class IV YPI Batang Kuis School Year 2023/2024.

Abstract

The Problem Bassed Learning learning model is a learning model that focuses on the root of the problem and solving the problem. Problems can create conditions that encourage students to quickly solve them, but under certain conditions, students do not know how to solve them. This research was motivated by the lack of reading comprehension skills of class V students at MIS Mutiara Aulia. And this research aims to find out whether the Problem Bassed Learning learning model has an effect on improving students' reading comprehension skills. By using quantitative methods, researchers used two classes, namely the experimental class and the control class. And based on the final results of the research, the use of the Problem Based Learning learning model shows that there is a significant influence from the application of this model. This can be seen based on the average value of student learning outcomes using the Problem Based Learning learning model is 74.00, while the average value of learning outcomes using the conventional learning model is 37.9. Based on the results of the t test, it was obtained (9.471 ≥ 2.024).

Abstract

This journal discusses a study titled "Overcoming Reading Difficulties Using an Explosion Box for Class III Students at Nursyamsiani Islamic Private Elementary School, Bintang Festive Village, Batang Kuis Sub-district." The research aims to: (1) identify forms of reading difficulties among third-grade students; (2) explore the use of explosion boxes as a medium to address these difficulties; (3) identify challenges teachers face in using the media; and (4) describe efforts to overcome these challenges. This qualitative research involved the school principal and third-grade teacher as participants. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and data analysis techniques such as reduction, presentation, and verification. The findings show that students struggle with distinguishing similar letters (e.g., b and d, m and n, p and q), slow spelling, repeated letters or words, and difficulties with diphthongs and consonant blends. The explosion box proved helpful in addressing these challenges by providing engaging, interactive reading experiences. However, teachers encountered obstacles such as small image sizes, limited school facilities, and financial constraints in media production. To address these issues, teachers implemented strategies like rotating the explosion box among students, ensuring visibility for those in the back, and providing additional explanations for unclear material. verall, this study underscores the importance of creative teaching media in overcoming reading difficulties. It highlights the need for schools to support teachers with resources and training to enhance learning effectiveness and student engagement in the classroom.

Abstract

Berdasarkan analisis kebutuhan , ditemui bahwa guru memerlukan contoh media pembelajaran yang dapat membantu guru dalam proses pembelajaran  dikelas. Tujuan Penelitian  ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui kelayakan  atau kualitas Media dalam pembelajaran dikelas serta mendeskripsikan  Respon Peserta didik terhadap Media Kartu Domino yang dikembangkan. Jenis penelitian dan pengembangan dan peneiltian ini yaitu penelitian Research and Devlopment (R&D) dengan menerapkan tahapan yang disederhanakan oleh Borg and Gall  yaitu : 1) Potensi Masalah, 2) Pengumpulan data, 3) Desain Produk, 4) Validasi Desain, 5) Revisi Desain, 6) Uji Coba Produk, 7) Revisi Produk. Subjek penelitian yang dilibatkan pada penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas IV MIS Taqwa sebanyak 29 Responden . Pemerolehan data dalam penelitian ini diambil dari validasi ahli media dan ahle materi pembelajaran yang berguna untuk mengetahui kelayakan produk, kemudian uji coba pemakaian dengan guru dan peserta didik guna memperoleh data kelayakan produk , kemudian uji coba pemakaian produk dengan guru dan siswa guna memperoleh kelayakan Produk. Hasil penelitian dan pengembangan yang dilakukan memberikan keterangan keterangan bahwa produk media Kartu Domino yang dikembangkan termasuk dalam kategori “Sangat Layak” digunakan setelah melalui uji validasi dari ahli media dengan rentang nilai 92% dan 100%, dan rentang penilaian dari 93% dari ahli materi pembelajaran, dilihat dari uji kepraktisan melalui uji  coba produk oleh guru diperoleh persentase nilai 92%dan persentase nilai dari siswa  85,4%  dengan kategori “sangat layak”  digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran Kartu domino . Berdasarkan skor tersebut menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran kartu domino mempunyai kualitas “Sangat Layak” untuk digunakan

Abstract

This study was conducted under the title “Development of Indonesian Language Learning Media Based on Animated Videos for Grade VII MTs Swasta Darul Ulum Budi Agung Descriptive Text Material,” which was motivated by low student motivation and understanding of descriptive text lessons. This situation occurred because attractive and interactive learning media were rarely used, causing students to tend to be passive in the learning process. The research methodology employed the Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE development model, which includes Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The research population consisted of students at Darul Ulum Budi Agung Private Islamic Junior High School, with a sample size of 30 students in the experimental group and 30 students in the control group. Data collection was conducted using interviews, tests, and questionnaires. Validation was provided by experts in the fields of content, media, and language. This study shows that the use of educational media in the form of animated videos falls under the category of highly suitable for use, both in terms of content and presentation. This media is capable of enhancing students' learning motivation, clarifying their understanding of descriptive text concepts, and creating a more engaging and interactive learning environment. In other words, the use of animated videos can serve as an innovative solution as a learning medium for Indonesian language, particularly descriptive text material, to improve the quality of education at MTs Swasta Darul Ulum Budi Agung.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low interest and skills of seventh-grade students at Darul Ulum Budi Agung Private Islamic Junior High School, which was caused by the use of uninteresting teaching methods and the lack of innovative learning media during classroom activities. This study aimed to develop animated video learning media for seventh-grade students' descriptive text material. The research methodology uses research and development with the ADDIE model, which consists of five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The population in this study was seventh-grade students at MTs Swasta Darul Ulum Budi Agung, with a sample size of 30 students from class VII-1 and 30 students from class VII-5. Data collection was conducted through observation, interviews, validation tests, questionnaires, and documentation, then analyzed using SPSS V.26 software with normality tests, homogeneity tests, and t-tests to obtain valid and accurate results. The research results indicate that the developed animated video was deemed highly suitable by media experts (90%), language experts (84%), and subject matter experts (86%). The practicality of the animated video also received highly practical results, with 94% of teachers, 58% of control class students, and 92% of experimental class students responding positively. Additionally, the effectiveness of the animated video showed an improvement in students' writing skills, with an average of 67.66 for the control class and 84.83 for the experimental class in the effective category. This study demonstrates that animated videos can serve as an alternative teaching material that supports the learning process and leads to significant improvements in learning outcomes.

Abstract

Storytelling is an important communication skill to develop, especially for elementary school students. Because it not only plays an important role in academic matters, but is also useful in their daily lives. However, many elementary school students still lack self-confidence and have limited access to interesting learning media, resulting in students encountering obstacles when telling stories in front of the class. This study aims to determine whether the developed big book media is feasible, practical, and effective for use in learning to improve students' storytelling skills. This research is included in the category of research and development or Research and Development (R&D), with the ADDIE model, which consists of: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The results showed that the big book obtained a percentage of 83.6% (material experts), 100% (media experts), 80% (teacher responses), and 95% (student responses). The effectiveness of the big book media achieved an N-Gain score of 14.87 with an average N-Gain score of 0.51275862 and an N-Gain percentage of 51%. Based on the N-Gain criteria, the big book media can be categorized as quite effective so that the big book learning media can be used to improve the storytelling skills of second-grade students at SDS Muhammadiyah 36 Medan.

Abstract

Bahasa adalah alat komunikasi. Bahasa Indonesia sudah menjadi bahasa umum identitas negara, penggunaan bahasa Indonesia pada generasi sekarang dapat tergolong sangat rendah, terutama dimedia sosial Instagram. Banyak faktor yang mempengaruhi seperti kebiasaan komunikasi individu dan faktor lingkungan. Meski banyak panduan dalam bahasa Indonesia, dikarenakan sikap berpikir terlihat modern dan mendidik untuk memfasilitasi komunikasi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk melihat penggunaan bahasa Indonesia pada media sosial Instagram dikalangan remaja, seumber data berupa sumber data tertulis yaitu keterangan dalam Instagram tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah teknik simak catat, dan dokumentasi dimana data bersumber dari media sosial Instagram yang kemudian dianalisis pengunaan bahasa Indonesia yang terdapat dalam postingan instagram tersebut.
