Abstract

Population growth in Indonesia always increases every year. This has resulted in an increase in life support needs such as buildings, transportation, and others. If it is not balanced with the concept of sustainable development, it will cause problems for the environment. Indicators of environmental problems caused by population growth in each region are always different. Malang City is one of the cities experiencing population growth. One indicator of environmental problems in the city of Malang is an increase in the number of sufferers of acute respiratory infections (ARI) every year. Pandanwangi Village is one of the villages with the highest ARI disease spread apart from Kedungkandang and Mulyorejo. The solution to overcome these environmental problems is by carrying out “Kampung Oksigen” Oxygen Village Planning in Pandanwangi Village. The concept of a “Kampung Oksigen” that is realized is by multiplying plants such as Sansevieria and grapevines that have the ability to produce oxygen and absorb carbon dioxide produced by vehicles. The result of this service is in the form of a “Kampung Oksigen” gate equipped with a set of supporting plants to be a pilot for community efforts to participate in creating a healthy and beautiful environment.

Abstract

Batik is one of the original handicrafts of the Indonesian which is very well known for its beautiful motifs and is also full of various philosophical values. Efforts to preserve local culture, especially written batik, must be made in order to strengthen the Indonesian identity. One form of effort made is through education which aims to provide insight into the knowledge of batik. The participation of academics through their obligations to carry out community service becomes a bridge in these conservation. For this reason, the activities are carried out through an educational program on the introduction of batik, especially written batik typical of Malang to the empowerment of family welfare or PKK in Banjararum Village, Singosari, Malang Regency. The activity agreed upon between the service team and the PKK Banjararum was to provide insight into knowledge in the form of socialization to PKK about batik. The result of this activity is the increased awareness of the community about the importance of preserving the Indonesian nation's culture, especially batik which in turn creates awareness to use Indonesian original batik, creating ideas for a productive economic sector for the community by utilizing existing potential and human resources, and the sustainability of efforts to preserve the environment through culture.DOI: https://doi.org/10.26905/abdimas.v5i3.5037

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis Budaya Kualitas dalam memediasi pengaruh perencanaan sertifikasi ISO 9001:2015 dan penerapan prosedur terhadap kinerja perusahaan. Responden penelitian ini berjumlah 105 karyawan di perusahaan international freight forwarding yang berlokasi di Tanjung Perak Surabaya. Penarikan sampel dilakukan dengan purposive sampling untuk memudahkan penyebaran data. Analisis data menggunakan analysis SEM. Dari hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa Sertifikasi ISO 9001:2015 berpengaruh terhadap budaya kualitas, perencanaan sertifikasi berpengaruh terhadap budaya kualitas, budaya kualitas berpengaruh terhadap kinerja karyawan dan secara bersama-sama perencanaan sertifikasi ISO 9001:2015 serta penerapan prosedur berpengaruh terhadap kinerja perusahaan melalui budaya kualitas. Berdasarkan penelitian yang dilakukan maka diberikan beberapa rekomendasi berupa saran yang dapat di gunakan sebagai bahan perbaikan berkekelanjutan yaitu tinjauan secara berkala terhadap pelaksanaan penerapan ISO di setiap departemen, meningkatkan kemampuan auditor dalam proses evaluasi, penilaian dan pelaporan sistem manajemen mutu. This study aims to analyze Quality Culture in mediating the effect of planning for ISO 9001:2015 certification and the application of procedures on company performance. Respondents of this study found 105 employees in international freight forwarding companies located in Tanjung Perak Surabaya. Sampling was done by purposive sampling to facilitate data dissemination. Data analysis using SEM analysis. The research results show that ISO 9001:2015 certification significant influence cultural quality, certification planning significant influence cultural quality, cultural quality significant influence employee performance and together with ISO 9001:2015 certification planning and application of procedures that significant influence company performance. Based on the research conducted, several recommendations are given in the form of those that can be used as material for continuous improvement, namely periodically on the implementation of ISO implementation in each department, increasing the ability of auditors in the process of evaluating, evaluating and reporting quality management systems.

Abstract

This study aims to formulate the ideal PELP model as a conceptual basis for the preparation of strategies to increase the competitiveness of SMEs. This study used a descriptive evaluative method, which was carried out through field research. The research locations are in three points, namely: 1) ceramic industry center in Dinoyo, Malang City; 2) batik industry center in Celaket, Malang City; and 3) chips industry center in Poncokusumo, Malang Regency. The results of the study show that: 1) the characteristics of the majority of MSME centers are still weak in creating institutional innovations; and 2) so far, MSME centers are still categorized as not independent. Based on these problems, this study recommends five strategies, namely: 1) the need to increase the capacity of MSMEs in joint business governance; 2) optimizing the role of MSME group communication forums; 3) increasing the independence of MSMEs based on the center; 4) increasing the role of large-scale businesses in the development of MSME centers; and 5) integrated area development. These recommendations are expected to be able to become a model for strengthening the competitiveness of SMEs based on PELP.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of entrepreneurial education level, business capital, business age, and workforce size on product innovation in SMEs in Malang City. Data were collected via questionnaires and analyzed using Partial Least Squares (PLS). Results indicate that all four variables positively and significantly affect product innovation. Entrepreneurial education, particularly technical skills and managerial abilities, provides a crucial foundation for innovation. Business capital, especially initial capital, supports innovation implementation, while business age shows that experience enhances SMEs' innovative capacity. Workforce size, particularly permanent employees, plays a vital role in innovation stability. The moderating effects of business capital, business age, and workforce size strengthen the relationship between entrepreneurial education and product innovation. Recommendations include improving access to capital, entrepreneurship training, and workforce stability support to enhance SMEs’ product innovation.

Abstract

The empowerment of UMKM associations in the Pring Koening Culinary Tourism Village is one of the community service activities funded by the Ministry of Technology. There are 3 types of training activities and forums group discussion (FGD) carried out in this community empowerment. The first is training related to UMKM business management, the second is training related to digital marketing, and the third is training related to an entrepreneurial mindset for resilient UMKMs. It is hoped that these three training activities can improve the ability of UMKM  actors in the Pring Koening Culinary Tourism Village so that they can compete with other competitors. From the side of the service team, they also get an overview of the current conditions experienced by UMKM actors so that it can be a further study in the future. In addition, this activity also provides grants for several equipment needed by UMKMs there.

Abstract

Program pengabdian kepada masyarakat memberikan kesempatan bagi mahasiswa untuk mengembangkan keterampilan praktis dan soft skills sambil berkontribusi pada pemberdayaan komunitas lokal. Eksplorasi pengalaman mahasiswa yang terlibat dalam pelatihan pengelolaan usaha, digital marketing, dan mindset wirausaha bagi UMKM kuliner di Kelurahan Bunul, Kota Malang. Melalui keterlibatan aktif dalam perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi program, mahasiswa tidak hanya meningkatkan kemampuan manajerial dan komunikasi, tetapi juga mendapatkan wawasan mendalam tentang tantangan yang dihadapi oleh pelaku usaha kecil. Pengalaman ini mendorong pengembangan kesadaran sosial dan tanggung jawab mahasiswa sebagai agen perubahan, serta mempersiapkan mereka untuk menghadapi tantangan profesional di masa depan. Hasil rekomendasi dari kegiatan ini agar program serupa diperluas untuk lebih banyak mahasiswa, dengan dukungan yang lebih kuat dari universitas dan pemerintah lokal untuk menjamin keberhasilan dan keberlanjutannya.

Abstract

One of the areas in Malang City where most of the residents are young people who are entrepreneurs in the culinary sector is in RT.02/RW.13, Bunulrejo Village, Blimbing District. The culinary MSME actors in this area formed a forum for joint activities called "Pring Koening Culinary Tourism Village". The problem that occurs is that some MSMEs still manage their businesses conventionally, where the management used is still simple and has not utilized marketing technology optimally. The stages used are brainstorming with MSME actors, identifying the types of culinary products marketed, and providing training to culinary MSME actors in this village. The first is Business Management training, the second is Digital Marketing training, and the third is training to build an Entrepreneur Mindset. From this training, an understanding is gained of the importance of an entrepreneur mindset and managing a business unit with proper management. With this training, MSME actors can separate financial records for business from household finances and utilize websites and marketplaces to market their products online. With additional production equipment, MSME actors can increase their productivity to meet consumer demand. So this will have an impact on business comfort and increase their income

Abstract

The Family Empowerment Post (Posdaya) is a forum for friendship, advocacy, communication, education and an integrated forum for strengthening family functions. This forum is formed from, by and for families and communities. Posdaya membership is voluntary and not associated with any particular political party, ethnicity, or religion. Because Posdaya activities are empowering all family functions, namely Education, Health, Entrepreneurship, Environment, Religion and Culture, therefore innovation is very much needed in carrying out its work program. Posdaya ASLI is one of the Posdayas formed by community groups in the RW. 14 Kelurahan Pandanwangi Kecamatan Blimbing, Malang City. The purpose of this activity is to innovate the empowerment program at Posdaya ASLI, especially the production of Jilbab Syar'i "EL-Yasmine". The method of implementing this activity is carried out in stages: Silaturrahmi with the management, Identification of innovation needs, Brainstorming with members, Comparative study of Posdaya empowerment, Comparative study of program innovation, Administrative System Assistance, and Participation in the Entrepreneur Day event. An important outcome of the innovation carried out at this Posdaya is the production of jilbab syar'i products that have the potential to develop with contemporary models and affordable prices.

Abstract

Deforestasi lahan merupakan salah satu kondisi krusial yang terjadi di Indonesia sebagai salah satu negara dengan megabiodiversitas di dunia. Upaya konservasi hutan melalui pembibitan pohon pada lahan gersang menjadi salah satu strategi keberlanjutan ekologi di area Malang, khususnya di hutan P-Wec Petungsewu, Kecamatan Dau Kabupaten Malang. Program pengabdian ini menerapkan Circular Bioeconomy Framework (CBF) untuk mengubah aktivitas pembibitan dan penanaman pohon menjadi sistem ekonomi sirkular yang menghubungkan konservasi in-situ dan ex-situ dengan penciptaan nilai ekonomi. Keterkaitan dengan SDGs 15 Life on Land ditegaskan melalui pengabdian konservasi hutan ini melalui upaya pelestarian spesies endemik wilayah Malang dan Indonesia yang memiliki nilai ekologis dan ekonomi keberlanjutan tinggi. Hasil pengabdian adalah terwujudnya sistem bioekonomi sirkular dengan indikator input lokal (melalui media tanam, benih, dan tenaga pada aktivitas pembibitan) serta zero-waste system di area Hutan P-Wec  melalui daur ulang limbah organic berupa pupuk kompos hasil limbah daun pohon. Hal ini terbukti dapat meningkatkan porositas dan aerasi tanah, sehingga dapat meningkatkan efektifitas pertumbuhan bibit pada lahan. Hasil berupa 17 jenis spesies bibit pohon yang sudah ditanam dan 5kg pupuk kompos dan 5kg sekam yang telah diolah dari limbah organik hutan P-Wec
