Abstract

High blood pressure is a serious health problem because it is a major risk factor for cardiovascular disease. Results of an interview with the head of Posyandu Sakura 9 RW. 01 Manang, Grogol,   Sukoharjo  shows that more than 70% of people suffer from hypertension. Therefore, socialization through health counseling programs is needed to increase the role of the community in the context of preventing hypertension. At Posyandu Sakura 9 RW. 01 Manang, Grogol,   Sukoharjo, community service activities are expected to be able to improve health degrees optimally. Through understanding ways to prevent hypertension, for example in the consumption of healthy foods and physical activity correctly, and can improve people's knowledge, behavior, and attitudes about hypertension.  The solutions offered to partners are ways to prevent hypertension through health counseling activities on hypertension, healthy cooking demonstrations in order to reduce excessive consumption of sugar, salt and fat, and healthy heart gymnastics activities to increase physical activity. The conclusion of this community service activity is that the elderly at the Sakura 9 Posyandu are very enthusiastic and give appreciation regarding very useful activities.

Abstract

Background: In the era of technology and globalization, social media with youth is something that cannot be separated. However, the surge of information shared easily and sometimes unverified through social media can triggers anxiety, especially among teenager who spent overwhelmingly hours with social media.   Purpose: This study aimed to investigate the impact of time spent on social media on the occurrence of anxiety in youth. Methods: This cross-sectional study at the School of Health in Surakarta, Indonesia, examined into the association between social media usage and the levels of anxiety in college students. The method of simple random sampling from 300 student population was used to select the 213 students who comprised the samples. We used a questionnaire to gathering data from respondents then analyzed it using linear regression analysis for determining the correlation between variables. Results: The results of analysis showed that spending more than two hours a day on social media has a statistically significant effect on anxiety levels (β = 1.75; 95% CI = -0.31-3.19; p = 0.017). Conclusion: These results offer valuable insights for encouraging students to be aware of how their use of social media may affect their mental well-being. Implementing strategies such as establishing time limits on social media, incorporating breaks, and participating in activities that foster mental health, like exercise, hobbies, or offline social interactions, can prove advantageous.

Abstract

Pandemi Covid-19 yang sebelumnya belum pernah dialami oleh masyarakat sangatlah luar biasa dampaknya, sebagian orang merasa khawatir atau takut yang berlebihan dan berpikiran yang kurang masuk akal. Dari ketakutan yang tidak rasional ini mengakibatkan diantara mereka saling memiliki kecurigaan dan prasangka pada orang disekitarnya terutama yang memiliki tanda-tanda penyakit covid-19. Hal tersebut memicu mereka semakin berusaha mencari informasi/berita tentang covid-19, dan mereka tidak dapat memilah berita yang akurat sehingga memunculkan kecemasan. Keadaan seperti ini membuat seseorang mengalami sakit kepala, pusing, tidur tidak nyenyak dan gangguan fisik lainnya, tanda-tanda inilah dalam dunia medis di sebut stress. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengidentifikasi tingkat stres dan strategi koping lansia Desa Manang dimasa pandemic covid-19. Desain penelitian ini adalah kualitatif, sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 8 orang yang tinggal di wilayah kelurahan manang. Hasil dari penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa lansia manang mengalami stress ringan dan lansia menggunakan strategi koping pengendalian diri atau self control. Tingkatan stress lansia manang cenderung dipengaruhi oleh mekanisme koping yang digunakan dan dukungan dari teman dan tetangga, oleh karena itu penggunaan mekanisme koping yang baik dan dukungan dari teman dan tetangga akan membantu lansia dalam menghadapi kondisi stress disaat pandemi covid-19.Kata Kunci : Covid-19, , Lansia, Tingkat Stress
